I had just finished the AdLab and was entering the final coordinates into my phone when I realised there was a cache very close by. At first I thought I was going to have to walk all the way back to the waterfall, but then realised where the bridge was, and walked the whole 40m to it! From the top of the bridge I thought I could see a couple of potential spots, so decided to make my way down. The first spot was empty, the second one contained a large piece of broken glass. Then I remembered the cache name so I had a look slightly further afield and spotted what I hoped was the cache. Bingo!I made my was back up to the road and then noticed a muggle outside the property across the road giving me a very strange look!
Found Bit of a messy wet day so it was very slippery Beautiful water fall near by, well worth a short walk for a look.
Merging my accounts. Found this as "Ambers007" on 29/09/2022. Now tracking together with "Hoterini" and merging the old finds.
It's a long weekend so I came down to Auckland from the Far North for a few days geocaching. Today my plan was to head down to Huntly collecting mostly AdLabs. Living where I do getting some higher numbers is a bit tricky so that was todays goal. I did the Adlab near here then headed off. Realised up the road that I hadn't checked for trads. Stopped off and found I'd missed one here so came back. Took a few attempts to decide which was the best direction to head in and under to this one. The grass was still wet and I wasn't sure how wet it might be in places. I snuck down the side of the bridge in the end which turned out to be easier than it appeared. The bright lid made it a quick find. Thanks for the cache
Still looking for a cache to fit a TB in ..... Nice to see this is actually a small size cache !!!!! Finally a cache we can drop the TB in. Once we made the dash down under it was a quick find. Thank you McCutchan Cache Clan for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 5155
Out and about this morning finding some caches before we head into town for the Pink concert tonight. Didnt find this one on the first sweep but after reading some logs I went back down and 1 more metre along there it was. Yus! TFTC and now off for a look at the waterfall and old flour mill.
Someone was parked right at the bridge and did not leave by the time we came back...
A scorching day. Rattll and I visited Pokeno to find adlab points and a trad or two. We found this one while visiting the waterfall. Hunting around GZ, we appreciated the shade, so possibly lacked a little urgency, but rattll soon made the find. All well in the container, signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
After enjoying a few days away, matagouri and I are making our way slowly back towards Hamilton. We stopped here largely to pick up some ad labs, but managed to grab some extras as well.We had no problems finding the cache, but got an odd look from a muggle who happened to wander past as we were headed back up.Thanks for putting this here
On our way to Tauranga for a few days and after a visit to the zoo in Auckland we stopped here for lunch. Plenty of people swimming here. Finding the access point took longer than finding the cache.TFTC McCutchan Cacha Clan
On some Christmas day adventures, neat spot for a cache. Wee bit slippery on the way up/down - be careful!
We needed to pick up an item that we had bought on TradeMe nearby, so we decided to head on in to Pokeno, after all, we needed some meat for dinner. While we were in the area, we also decided to have a go at the Adventure Lab and collect any other caches that were in the vicinity. We drove along to this cache and found a place to stop just before the bridge. Mr. Kiwi went out and had a quick look for it on the bridge, but couldn't find it. If only he had read the name of the cache he wouldn't have wasted his time doing this. Anyway, he decided to head on below and after a short search found the cache. WIth the log signed, it was back on up to continue with the caching adventure of the day.TFTC
It was nice and high. This wasnt a particularly pleasant place to be poking around in.
Had been here before, but this time we were successful, plus we walked down to the falls. Nobody swimming on this autumn day. Thanks McCutchan Cache Clan
A nice quick find. Thankfully it is relatively high, as the place has been used as a toilet! Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I were in Auckland for a few days visiting family, and now we are starting the trek home. We cruised around a wee bit today in the damp, ifound a few ad labs and bonuses and other caches.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. .

Muggles: None
Weather: Pleasant autumn afternoon
Cache condition: Good
I was on the way back to Auckland Airport to fly back to Sydney and decided I had time for a quick waterfall spot, and Pokeno seemed worthwhile on Google Maps. I wasn’t expecting them to be so suburban and in use by the local population as a swimming hole, but they were attractive nonetheless. I then noted this cache nearby, so headed over. It wasn’t too hard to get access to GZ - CIH, TNLNSL TFTC

We were just having a walk to the water fall and a northern cach and then we decided do this one it took awhile but eventually we found it by the way I wound recommend going to the water fall
After visiting the nearby waterfall, which we had no idea was here until completing an Adventure Lab, we saw this cache was close and headed over to look for it.
A careful climb down the bank got us to GZ and then we began the search.
There was quite a prominent crevice that we thought might hold the cache but it was empty however checks of some others soon reveled the container.
Previous finders have mentioned this area being used as a toilet and today this was particularly obvious. Such a strange place for such activities, it is far from the main road and toilets are conveniently located on the main road therefore the circumstances that lead to this sort of behaviour escape us. At least we were pleased that the perpetrators were nowhere to be seen today.

Making my way to Huntly, with a stop of in Pokeno to put a few smilies on the map.
Having found myself nearby after completing an Adv. Lab, this was my first cache of the day.
Quick find, which was good, as place has been used as a toilet, not pleasant. TFTC

Heading up to Auckland airport. Had time to detour to Pokeno and collect a few caches. Always bypass this place so everything here was new to us. Slippery getting to GZ because of all the rain from Cyclone Hale. Didn’t take too long to find the cache and scramble back up. Now off to the waterfall. Really hadn’t expected to find one in the middle of town. Cache and log all fine. Thanks for the smiley.
After completing one of the adventure labs and trying out the famous ice cream store we decided to check out the nearby waterfall. As this cache wasn’t too far away we thought we would try one more search to end our day. After a bit of searching the cache was found.Great location and a bit of fun getting to it too.
Out geocaching on Workd Record day but decided to also break our own record for daily finds. We hit that a few caches ago but carried on. By the time we reached this one it was dark so we sent just the brave trolls under the bridge. Didn’t take too long to retrieve and yahoo that’s 25 for the day and time to go home. Thanks for the placement - we will have to come back in the day light to explore a bit more .
We are heading south to our Waikato base this afternoon and finding a few caches along the way. There was a lot of water flowing under the bridge after all the recent rain so we were quite pleased that we did not have to go under the picturesque bridge on the cache page. Got into position and soon spotted the hide. Thanks.
Found it. Such a good spot! Although shouldnt have gone on a wet day since my shoes are now covered in mud
Rua tekau! Yusss, time to plant my own great spot this one... Don't concentrate on the one spot
Yay, found after another proper look- one of the safest driest caches so far , thanks guys!
Felt around in a good crevice for hiding things, but based on the amount of "street art" own there I'd say it may have been muggled
Wow there you go Pokeno has waterfalls. Lol. Did the first track before grabbing the cache. Then wander to second track. Very cool location. Tftc
Exploring the other side of the motorway, went for a walk and learnt a little bit about the history of the area. Thanks for the hide
Had to take a bit of a scramble to get to this one. Plenty of hiding spot option. We were a little focused on one spot but not coming up with the goods so we changed to a new spot and then came up with it quickly
Had planned a long walk today out in the Waitakeres but weather forecast was not looking good so decided to try something closer to home and much shorter so completed Mt William Summit track. Finished that quicker than anticipated so decided to clear up some of the unfound caches along the way back home.
Found something that took my interest along the concrete but nothing there...hmm is it missing...nope its just in another spot of the concrete...ta da...
Thanks for the cache.

Out with Merlot58 and Nette we were starting an Adventure Lab in Pokeno so detoured to collect this one on the way. Quick park and grab with the hint.
A quick detour for this cache. A bit muddy with the recent rain but the log was all good. TFTC.
I didn't go under the bridge far enough as I kept being sidetracked by something that matched the hint. Thankfully Nette was more on to it today!
Wow, it’s been found twice today. Hubby had to keep the local kids entertained up the top while I scooted under and signed! Tftc

I thoughtfully allowed Mr Geckoh the chance to collect the cache - just because it seemed like the right thing to do LOL - TFTC

This was fun...took the plunge... Had a great swim. Found some relief from the sun under a shady bridge. Tftc
Nice simple find after a bit of a hunt. Make sure you look high, low and in between!
Must say that I was surprised at the terrain rating for this one - I was slip-sliding around in my jandals. Not the easiest cache that I’ve found either but we got there. Found on a little detour when driving home from Auckland. TFTC
One of my techs was doing some work in Te Awamutu and had damaged a part which I then took a replacement to him and we meet half way in Huntly. This meat that I could have a leisurely drive back to Auckland and grab some caches on the way back.
This was my ninth find. Is ALWAYS great to find a cache after the last log was a DNF. The cache is definitely there all safe and ready to be found by the next cacher. I will admit it wasn't in the spot I would have picked but persistence paid off!!!

I found a birds nest, a nicely colored stone, lots of spiders the nice spot near the waterfall, but no cache, though I searched thoroughly...
Found all ok, this was a bit of a tricky find! As I was coming up, a car pulled in the nearby driveway so I waited for a few minutes for them to unload the car and go inside... TFTC, another gemstone collected for the latest challenge! #2002
Not a super quick find but we did find it. Enjoyed seeing the waterfall nearby too.
Once I climbed down the right side the cache was quickly retrieved, nicely hidden here cheers
2nd one, had sussed both these out for the first for the morning - bit of a leg stretch, then back in to the car.

Leaving the south of Hamilton to raid the north Waikato. A nice hide for this cache tftc
