A sunny winter's day begs to go out and do some geocaching. So I loaded my little foldable bicycle in the car and drove to Pemulwuy for the powertrail and some of the other traditionals in the area.
Unfortunately quite a few caches have had DNF's for quite a while and clearly CO attention would be much needed.
Luckily there were some good finds as well, so all in all still a nice afternoon in an area of Sydney I have never visited before.
Luckily another find to lift my spirits!
TFTC.

What a nice trail and clever find here the morning before the launch of the reconciliation action plan for Cumberland City council - TFTC!
Searched the whole area multiple times. Before deciding to swap sides. Cache in hand quickly. It was in plain sight! Tftc
To celebrate the wonderful Countrykittykats birthday, we set ourselves the mad challenge of visiting 30 counties in a day. Not at all sure that it was possible, I planned and prepped and we set out hoping for the best. Only hunting for D1.5 T1.5 caches to accomodate Countrykittykats injured ankle. Low are behold after an epic day of caching, where we saw beach and city, suburbs, bush and farms. We made it! Our 30 counties found and one extra for good measure Just for an extra perk. A wonderful day out together and an adventure we won’t forget quickly! Thanks everyone for making this wonderful day possible by keeping your caches alive. TFTC

I had time to find a few caches this morning before I had to head to the airport and home. I had some breakfast in the nearby shops then went for a walk around the power trail and associated caches. It was a bit hit and miss as a few of them were either too hard to find or were missing. Apologies for the cut and paste logs, I'll mention anything that stood out for me if I can. Nice hide. Found after a short search. TFTC, Biggles.
Oops, I pressed did not find accidentally on this one! I did find it! Sorry for the confusion (edit - I deleted my did not find)
Found it with sevabo, pattyab and ozuk on a lovely hot day and this was our last cache before we headed back home for the night. TFTC.
Setting out today, Ms Atalanta and I went to the western area known as Pemulwuy.
Pemulwuy was an aboriginal man born around 1750 in the area of Botany Bay in New South Wales. He is noted for his resistance to the European settlement of Australia which began with the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788. He is believed to have been a member of the Bidjigal (Bediagal) clan of the Eora people.

This was our fifth find for today.

Did give this a go, but with the light fading and a guy nearby eyeing me suspiciously, had to add this to the revenge find list instead. Welp, revenge round it is then.
wraacie I found your cache Pemulwuy Power Trail #8 on 15/7/18, 12:35 pm. This is my find 2024 and find # 8 today. This one took a lot longer than it should have, hopefully council don't decide to do some maintenance. Thanks for the cache! TNSLLN

Deciding I needed to pull my finger out for this year if I wanted to average one find a day coincided nicely with this lovely winter's day and the early days of the Hidden Creatures promotion. So, geoboyfriend and I decided to target some caches around Pemulway today.
Wow. This one took some time - it probably took us as long to find this one as the time spent looking for all the others this morning so far. We read previous logs and were still none the wiser. And then, oh. There it is. Right where we thought it would be, we'd just managed to ignore the very obvious hiding spot!

Found with Coybear2000. We were nearby and we made the detour to try for this one. We parked a short distance away and walked to GZ. Once there we started searching. On checking the hint we narrowed our search area. C read a few previous logs which gave him an idea that proved correct and we had CIH. TFTC.
Found with Trodectus, detoured here as we were passing by. Parked car and walked to co-ords. Started searching and after reading some previous logs, had a clue what we were looking for and narrrowed our search area. Cache located, log signed and returned. TFTC
Another DNF. I just wasn’t in the mood for suburban caching today and probably gave up too easily.
cache in good condition. log has 4 spots but I recommend weighting over pictured "wooooo". that will get 10 more spots
Relief from the harsh sun in this leafy lane and spied the camo straight away, thanks wraccie

The barking dog next door made me very glad of a quick find at this cache. Thanks for the cache wraacie tnln replaced as found sl
Out and about on a Sat morn with karennicole and thereimer. We were pretty successful on the trail plus a couple of extra ones, but had to add a few DNF's.
Parked the car at Woolies and returned just before the 3 hour parking limit was up, including tackling 17 caches, bumping into fellow cachers and walking close to 6km.
I noticed how the metal fence intrudes through the neighbour's wooden fence. Funny to see.
Thanks for the series wraacie

Saturday morning caching with blundobusters and karennicole, and a couple of dogs for this one. karennicole made the find quickly. TFTC.
Family caching day with Blundo Busters and thereimer on a Saturday morning. This was a pretty quick and easy find. We were serenaded by the neighborhood dogs. So glad there was a fence between us!! Thanks wraacie.
See, find logs appear much faster than DNFs. And they don't make your inner puppy sad!
In Pemulwuy in a hot Saturday for geocaching and the PPT. This was our second stop where we had a big dog barking at us on the other side of the fence and found that our device was reading a little different from the posted coordinates. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
A beautiful day
We've taken a nice walk in this beautiful park in Pemulwuy today and have also found this cache
Thank you for the nice round

Approaching GZ, we were met by a cacophony of barking dogs, which persisted the whole time we were there. Thankfully, we found the cache fairly quickly and were able to continue on our way.
Thanks for this extraordinary series wraacie, hopefully we can return one day to complete the trail by finding the elusive #2.
