As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists. Just contact us when you have the cache repaired, and assuming it still meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Have to agree with Llourd on this one. No evidence of any cache around. Checked all possible hidey-holes within 20m of the co-ords for about 25 minutes. This was the last for the day so didn't feel like putting up with too many more scratches and bruises from lantana and such like. Might be time for the owner to pop in and check if it's still there.

we searched for this one for about 40 minutes before giving up - considering that most have commented that this is an easy find and we found a seashell and other random debris laying about the area, maybe it has been pilferred?
i'll put this on the watch list to see if someone else finds it maybe we were just unlucky.

btw, there is still evidence of that ky and vibrating device party about, be wary the geo kiddies!

This was our last for the day. An easy find left a star soap and took sunglasses.

14-May-04
Found it without too much trouble although one of the dogs nearly went over the edge which was a worry.

Don't know what goes on in the bushes here at other times but someone had left the wrappers from a tube of KY and a small 'vibrating device' nearby. Glad we didn't happen upon that little party!

TNLN. Thanks for the cache.

Found this one too easily! Cache still in good condition, however it was stuck out in the open, there was also a message from a non cacher who'd found it... so I conceled it a bit more, swapped horse figurine for a barrel of monkeys.

I think the hints are okay, so long as you use them right (see my log below).

Hints were of no use to this one. Are they wrong? We have an In Car SatNav (VDO DAYTON). This arrangement is not easy to use for GeoCaching, Anyway, Got ourselves a Hand Held Magellan and now we have found it....

We signed the Log and left a Penguin...

Excellent spot for a Cache..

Found by Lester and #1 son and daughter. Absolutely wonderfull. Will definitely be back. Nettles are a bit of a hazard. TIP- Crushed braken fern leaves rubbed on the nettle stick stops the sting.

Last one for the day. Found by Andrew at 6:50 pm, and interesting place. This used to be a picnic area with an official look-out but has been closed. There is some evidence of drug taking be aware if you are taking children. Found cache in very good condition - great container ! We were the 3rd visitor today according to the log. Took nothing and left a 9 candle. Thanks for a good cache - Andrew and Maryan

A very busy cache today by the looks. Tony, Jade and Plantman found the cache without too much difficulty. As Andrew and Maryan mentioned, looks like someone has been having quite a party in the general area. We ended up leaving a cosmic pod pen and taking nothing. On the trip back to the car, Plantman and Jade collected some seed pods from the forest for Christmas decorations apparently. Zippo the travel bug also visited. A good time was had by all. A great cache container, everything dry and safe. Thanks for the hunt.

The kids were getting a bit foot weary by now, but we marched them up to the top of hill. Another stunning Bunya Mountains walk and view. (We had been blessed with perfect weather during our stay). Cache was located in short order and the kids immediately seized upon the water bombs. We noted that Tony and Jade had yet to venture up this way, so we left some cable ties.
Thanks Alby and Wendy for another great location.
We headed for home after this one, but there was A Little Oasis on the way ....

When using the hints makes it harder! A tale of my stupidity, and forest driving adventures. This was the last cache on the way home from my caching and cacmping trip in the Bunya Mountains.

I was driving along the highway, still about 6 kms from the cache, I see the State Forest turn off. I wonder if I have to go down there, I think to myself. I don't have much time, I'll decode the hint. So I decide to decode the hint, and mark a waypoint for the turnoff. In the process I realise the hint gives it in decimal degrees, rather than the geocaching standard, degrees decimal minutes. So I change the GPS format, and in the process hit the enter button, mark a waypoint in my current location. Having marked the waypoints give in the hints, I go to the map and see, Oh, the turn is right here!. So I turn into the State forest and have some great fun driving around all the different unmarked roads, avoiding some that are closed for logging, all the while not getting any closer to the cache which is still about 6 k's away. Finally I get to a road that is blocked by a fallen log, and decide to turn around, and follow my track log to find my way back out. Only upon getting back to the highway do I realise that the turnoff waypoint is right next to the cache! I still missed it though due to my speed, and had to turn around.

After all this, the cache was found within 30 seconds of arriving at the lookout. Was going to take nothing, leave nothing, but Flick didn't trust my caching abilities after this and wanted to stay, so I left him, and took the wate proof matches.

A nice end to a nice caching trip.

Found on a foggy morning at 9:30 am after camping at the camp site adjacent to the walking track entrance. The first cache of my Bunya cacmping and caching expodition. The view was obscured by the fog which persisted pretty much all day. Took nothing. Left some water bombs. Rehid the cache just in time before the next walkers arrived.

This was the first cache we attempted... Drove right past the first time and saw the access road the second time... Easy to get to the outlook, but hard to find the box.. Box was clean (had rained the previous night) and in very good condition we added a pokemon card and a hooter in case someone finds it new year's eve!

This one is not only wheel chair friendly but also pram friendly, my wife pushed a pram with a 6 month old and I carried a 20 month old so we were very happy to get to the seat with or without a view.Another good view however. We have lived in the area for years and never seen any of these look outs.

This was not far from where we camped although we declined the opportunity to hike from camp this this one. Swapped something for a deck of cards, to give us something to play on our last night of camping.

After a bit of hunting we found it, in plain sight. Didn't swap anything over as forgot to bring an item with us.

Very good 'On the way' cache

Found at 10:30am. We found the right spot to park (without cheating) but were put off by being unable to see the start of the path. So we 'decrypted' and after a bit of mucking around ended up where we were originally, hopped out of the car and then could see the path.
Otherwise, it was easy to find. We took nothing (as there was really nothing to take) but left a packet of fake tattoos.
From here we went on to Nice Quiet BBQ.
Thanks for the hunt.

In a popular place with us old locals but worth the drive as it is on part of the national trail and full of local history in the area. Took nothing but left a baby TAZZIE!!!
