My muggles mum was travelling with me and she enjoyed the views while I did some stops. But her love for books ensured she hobbled inside to help me find this one. She was just as excited as I was to find this one.The library staff was very friendly on our way out.
Find Number 2914 found at 13:47. Today we found 2 caches, 3 Adventure Lab stages and had 1 DNF. A beautiful day to take granddaughter Charlicorn1500 to the Bay for shopping and caching. The second library cache I have found and both were great fun. This one led to a short tour of a very pleasant library, eventually leading to the correct shelf. Well worth a favourite point from us.The cache was in good condition. We took nothing, left nothing, signed the log and replaced the container as foundThanks J+J.au for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.
On holidays and time to adventure out and find some geo caches, this one is a very smart hide and really enjoyed it! Took trackable, TFTH Auscachia
Had read up on this one last night, then promptly forgot about it so we rode round most of the building before the penny dropped. Mrs SKI's Mum had been a library teacher as part of her working career so we had no trouble locating the cache. All signed and back on our way. The first for the day!We had a day out on the bikes today collecting a few caches in and around town and also completing an Ad Lab. We woke to a beautiful day and were about to set off when we discovered one of the bikes had a flat tyre. Some time later it was repaired and then we set off. Blue skies, warm and only a slight breeze.Along the way we had a great lunch on the wharf. as we visited some lovely locations.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache J+J.au.**SKI Pair****
Today's weather feels fantastic, but its not cold. I enjoyed around B.B. for some caches. Excellent. It interested me, so it took me a look around and a hint of a good match to find it. TFTC
Such a cool spot, and great camo, first library cache for us, fav from us, cheers cobber.
Wer came past here on Sunday and soon worked out it was not a smiley moment. Came back today and we were able to get to the GZ. Checked at the first spot and we were redirected to the final spot. Found container, although a previous reader had miss filed.fav pointTotal Caches Found 16332TFTC J+J.au
Im currently staying in Batemans bay for a week away and decided to do a few geocaches in the area. This one was a quick find, whilst the littlest muggles had their story time!TFTC!
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Our first visit to ACT in that time.We headed out this morning hoping to beat the predicted rain, but it eventually caught up with us. we had to tackle this one in the morning whilst they were open. we too started searching on the wrong side but the handy note soon shifted our search and we found the clever cache without any intervention. TFTC J+J.au
A second library cache. Seems to be a thing on the far south coast. Nice and easy. Tftc
Called past here today, while it was open. Had fun finding this and also grabbed the TB to continue it journey. Given a fav as nice to do something different. Thanks J+J.au for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
What a fun cache!! We needed a little help from the librarian who could see us in the wrong section. Once we were in the right place it was an easy hide. Ive left some swag and trackables! I took the cockatoo card as I love animals. Thanks for the smiley. A cache to remember!
That is so awesome we were in completely the wrong section. Very helpful Liberian let us know, no need for higher learning
Rainy day in the Bay so happy to do an indoor gc, clever hide. Left an ooshie, TFTC
#10198 (3 of 20 today - including 5 Adventure Labs)Headed down to Bateman's Bay, and environs, in the Geowife's Mugglemobile for today's event at Wasp Head. It was a long day, starting the drive down before 8am and not getting home until 11pm - utilising a long stop at the Gong on the way home to make sure I stayed awake.Having a few hours "to spare" before the event, I took the opportunity to grab a number of caches around Bateman's Bay. By the end of the day I had 20, including five ALs by the water. That included, of course *Earthcache 1* at Wasp Head, which was the focus of the day - Happy 20th Anniversary.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Arrived here and looked at the time... 11:55. When does the library close? 12. Right.Entered at 11:56 to be told they were about to close and could they help. So I told them why I was here, and after imparting some info to the librarian I was escorted to the right section.Gotcha!Added my ink to the log, replaced as found and I was out the door at 11:59, after thanking said librarian for her help.Usually with time restricted caches like this I turn up 5 minutes AFTER it closes. A nice change of pace here.Have a favourite.SLTNLNTFTC
A nice quick find of the creative cache im the cool air conditioning. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
I always like library caches, as they are in plain sight, but the muggles have no idea what's going on. Except the library staff, of course. On a very hot day, it was a pleasant place to visit to cool off. Found the item quickly. I was tempted to borrow a book, but it's a long way to go to return it. TFTC
Our first library cache. Stopped on our way to Mogo zoo. Lots of fun finding this one
A veryyy fun little hide that made us giggle and our hearts quicken! Tftc! Sabo + JJ
Such a great cache. So fun teaching the kids about being sneaky and quiet. Took us a couple of minutes to find it. Well done!
Great hide. Found quickly once in the right section. Definitely a favourite point. TFTC
I returned today to average a long-standing DNF. Luckily I remembered on time and had 15 minutes to spare before closing!I always enjoy this type of setup. FP and TFTH
Another great day caching with Bogonghazy. Quick find. Thanks for bringing us here
Found with LittleBoss2 as we cruise into BB for another day of caching. Quick find after I got lost, LB2 went straight to it. Must be her earlier life as a teacher. Thanks again J&J au, fave added
A lot of 994. I keep thinking the number to letter on the phone.I wonder if the staff know about this geocache
This one was fun for the kids. With the extra challenge of being quiet and sneaky.
Found while on holiday up here. That was a new and exciting experience, we have never found a cache in a library before. We got a bit lost multiple sections and a bewildered librarian lol.
Drove down to Batemans Bay today to visit friends, grabbed a few caches along the way, stopped in town to get the labcache and library cache done before saying hi. Always love library caches when they're well executed and one was!

Fishing was unsuccessful this morning so we resorted to one of our favourite holiday pastimes - a spot of cache hunting. Having done a similar cache earlier on our travels, the not so small one knew exactly what she was looking for and her hands were soon on the logbook.

Visiting from Ohio, USA and driving around enjoying Australia in a campervan. Got this one while riding my folding geobike around town. Nice library and a good spot to refill my water bottle.
Haven’t used the Dewey decimal system since high school but once we figured it out it was an easy find
Took a long time to find as we were looking at the wrong 994 section in the University side ! We had to ask the librarian as we were about to DNF. An amazing cache though! TFTC
Embarrassingly had to google the Dewey system to find the hide. Good fun and renewed my library skills though.

Very nice libary here took a couple minutes Ute's to find then a couple of muggkes decided to sit near while replacing
I’ve found one in a library before and enjoyed doing this again - great to have the local library supportive of geocaching! TFTC and a good container.
Day 13 of our 2 week road trip south from Brisbane. After overcoming floods, a bogged car and vehicle electrical issues, we finally reached Canberra to spend a few days with relatives before continuing south for a loop around the Snowy Mountains. From there we headed towards Eden to commence the run north towards home following along the coastline.
Our second library cache this trip, so we knew what we were in for here. Being kitted out in my caching outfit more suited for the outdoors, I did not exactly fit the picture of the studious library visitor. Felt a bit conspicuous as I walked in with my muggle wife (she was my attempt at camouflage), especially as there were not many other visitors there at the time. Slunk away quickly between the shelves and crept our way towards GZ. This time around I was the one to spot the cache hide. Nice disguise here. Would love to know if any muggles have ever discovered this cache and wondered WTF??

Great cache. I think I have only done this once before a loooong time ago. Took myself and KSFRMDSBSHR a while to find it, perhaps this shows as evidence of our lack or time spent in the library. Or the fact that aforementioned geocacher's phone was extraordinarily loud when suddenly receiving a phone call.
Thanks for the fun!
Thanks for the fun!
Out for a great adventure. away from home. having a break and caches. Great area. Interesting sites. Once l found the right area the cache was in hand. Very clever hide. Thanks for bring me out here.
Yep this was so much fun to find! Me and my mum love libraries so any excuse to go was very welcome. And it was so exciting to finally find it at the end! THANKS FOR THE AWESOME CACHE!
I really wanted to get this cache before heading back to Canberra, library ones are a must! I initially searched in one area but had no luck with the numbers/letters, but then searched the other side of the library where I found the cache all and well. Awesome setup, and love the very appropriate name (I had the flute music from the music stuck in my head the whole time). TFTC J+J.au!
Down after completing the Adventure Lab decided to see what else was around and with 39 favourites this was the top of the list
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache J+J.au

Too funny. We are visiting the area from Sydney and staying at Depot Beach where there is no reception. Thought we’d stop by the library today and use their wifi to set up Mrs Gaztek’s new phone. It’s her birthday today! OK, any nearby caches? Actually, not 2 metres away from where we set up camp! Excellent! SL TFTC Cheers… Gaztek
We hadn't read the description so we had some confusion when reached GZ.
After finally reading what was required, we soon had the cache in hand.
Too bad if you are silly and are unvaccinated

I spent my day off taking a drive down to Batemans Bay to visit some of the caches along the Kings highway and the inner Batemans Bay area. It was a cold morning, but it soon tuned into a nice day at the coast.
This was my first trip to Batemans Bay in ages, and unlike my more common dive trips, I was here on a day when the library was open. Once inside I failed to locate the right section at first, but when I moved sections I ground the numbers that matched and soon had the container in hand. A great item and lots of fun in a public place.
Thanks for the cache J+J.au

I haven't done too many of these, despite a fair few caches under the belt! It was great to see this hide here and even with covid precautions it was a quick easy find. Tftc, really enjoyable

Been wanting to grab this one since the FTF was still on offer but finally in town ahead of a SES exercise over the weekend, had a few spare hours this afternoon to visit GZ during opening hours. Done a few similar hides and knew exactly where to locate the log, discretely sign and return.
23,655. Found during a coastal caching run with DARKSIDEDAN and IamCoust today.
A last minute plan was thrown together for a fun day trip down to Bateman's Bay and surrounds. Caught up with the others in Braidwood where I left my Geomobile, and we headed down the mountain in DSD's. This was the next stop for the day. Parked outside and walked 'in'. Once we found the right section it was a quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks J+J.au !! I've done a few library caches and they are always fun ! Favourite Point !

First cache of the day is better than coffee!! (almost) Fav from me, great hint.
Out and about doing a geo-tour of Eurobodalla Shire today, visiting places I've either not seen before or not for a long time. I was a bit selective about what caches I did with ALs, virtuals and earthcaches topping my to do list, along with a few others along the way that took my fancy.
Having done this one's Narooma sibling earlier in the week, this was one of my must-dos while in Batemans Bay and unlike at Narooma, I had no problems locating the hide today ... the librarian who checked that I had done my COVID check-in must have wondered why I was then leaving just a minute or two later.
Thanks for this fun hide J+J.au ... I'm now planning to visit Moruya library on my way back to Narooma.

I approached GZ a few days ago only to discover it behind a 3 meter thick brick wall. With the doors shut by then it was one for ‘another day’. Today I contemplated whether I should attempt this one, going thru the obligatory covid temp and sign in checks which are starting to get really tiring. The librarian was really friendly, guiding me via hand signals to the GZ, and shortly after I had cache in hand thanks to the Dewey system. This was my first indoor cache and highly rewarding. Tftc
Finally!. I’ve contemplated this cache for some time now. Came yesterday and I swear it was not here. Today, after much double checking of logs, I returned to the same spot and there it is! Just waiting for me. So delightful. TFTC.
This cache brought us to the great old Batemans Bay library. Nice and quiet spot for a rest and a good read. The cache was hidden very well. Awesome hide TFTC!
This is the best cache I’ve found to date!! Took a few minutes to find the right area of the library but once there is was a pretty quick find. FP for sure.
This took a little longer than planned as not being locals we didn’t realise there were 2 sections of the library that had 994 books. Fortunately the staff were very helpful and pointed us in the right direction. A fun cache. Thanks for placing it here. A favourite from us.
Quick stop to grab this one on the drive back to Sydney from a weekend down at Tilba Tilba TFTC!
I was passing by and decided to stop and try for a find. Unfortunately I didn’t read the description ahead of time and arrived at 1206 hrs. Too bad as this is one of my favourite setups. Next time.
Called in and checked cache. All is good and replaced pen.
Please don’t remove it from the cache.

After a couple of wet days caching up North, we came through here today and grabbed possibly one of the coolest caches I’ve found. I was not expecting that! Thanks!
Pen in cache needs replacing. Not flagged as ‘Needs Maintenance’ due to lack of issue severity.
Clever idea. Was given the third degree on the way in re COVID hot-spots and purpose of visit. Pen inside was no good. TFTC.
Combining 2 of my favourite things; caching and reading. Love it. It didn't take too long to find thanks to a bit of homework I did on the way.
On the way to Bermagui from Sydney and did of course some caching on the way. Nice cache and pretty quick find. TFTC!
Touring eastcoast with Hilda the Hiace. We had something in mind when we got here and it was proven right! Thank you for the cache and greetings from Finland!
I love finding library caches and have placed one myself in Sydney (GC8D6VA).
Ive been in Batemans Bay fairly often over the years but ive never actually been to the library.
When i visited there were quite a few people around which is a sign of a good, healthy library.
It didnt take me long at all to find the cache and i soon had things signed and returned.
Thanks. Worth a favourite point.
