Logs
While on a road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide, today we decided to do some of this series. After attempting #1-#156 in the morning, we returned to Meningie to join with CatCasper, check out the Pink Lake, and continue this series. Logs were signed AP for AddisonPascal and CC for CatCasper. We looked for #157-#213 before having lunch in Yumali. In this stretch we found 41 and DNFed 16, with many of the later ones being DNFs. Mostly these caches were in pretty bad condition, with many damaged containers and hides not matching hints. The whole series could do with a maintenance check. However, it was fun, and thank you to Fishy Tales for setting up this series! We left a TB I picked up from Victoria in this cache.
Out on a geocache trip with Ellen Sch and ingsve on holiday in Australia, and today it was this area that was prioritized If nothing else is mentioned, we found the cache at good coordinates and it was fine To save space in the log, we often log in with the nickname N3 Many thanks to CO for laying out and maintaining this Greetings from Norway TFTCUte p en geocache-tur med Ellen Sch og ingsve p ferien i Australia og idag var det dette omrdet som ble prioritert Hvis ikke annet er nevnt s fant vi cachen p gode koordinater og den hadde det braFor spare plass i loggen logger vi ofte med nick N3Tusen takk til Til CO for utlegg og vedlikehold av denne Hilsen fra Norge TFTC
Cachehilsen fra Ellen Sch, NorgeMe and MrVon sr have come down to Australia and New Zealand, -an old dream has finally come to an end. Team Eika and Ingsve have also traveled with us on this trip.We have been traveling cross-country for a month, and the goal is to end up in Adeleide and mega-event on the leap year. We have especially looked for old caches, to fill jasmer'n, for a couple of pieces, and for the other two of us who have started to think about reviewing more. The vast majority of them showed up at their places, sometimes we had to search a bit, but we were usually lucky in the end. There were also some DNFs.We have mostly logged in with the common nickname N3 (ingsve, Von sr. and Ellen Sch), but our own nicknames are also used.A big thank you to all you CO's for laying out and maintaining your caches. Without their work, we would never have been able to make a living with this hobby.Always nice to have a new smiley face on the map.Cache greetings from Ellen Sch, Norway

Adventuring today with Muzza, micaparamedic, ThePacman, Papi4506 and GT37.and Team Crackers for part. Logs signed Vic1 or V1 to save space. Thanks for placing the cache Fishy Tales.
Found today with ConnieandRick, McLookers, ThePacman, Micaparamedic, Papi4506, GeoTurtle37 and Team Crackers towards the end. Most caches found immediately, some requiring a bit more time, and a couple of missing ones replaced. All signed as Vic1.Thanks to Fishy Tales for the cache.
There is a rather large contingent of Victorians heading to the Mega in Adelaide tomorrow so some of us decided to meet at Meningie and attack this trail. ConnieandRick, McLookers, ThePacman, Micaparamedic, Muzza, GeoTurtle37 and myself started off nice and early and were later joined by Team Crackers who had already completed a lot of those we found earlier. We didn't have too much trouble with any finds and although it was rather warm, we all had a great day out.Thank you for the time and effort that has gone into setting up and now maintaining this trail for all to enjoy.
After an interesting night at The Bend Motorsports Complex the aim today was to knock over the ROTF series before heading in to Adelaide. This geocaching adventure was undertaken in the company of Muzza, McLookers, ThePacman, Papi4506, GeoTurtle37, ConnieandRick and Team Crackers joined us for the last 65 or so. Logs were signed Vic1 to save space. Thanks for placing this cache and the whole series Fishy Tales.
Today's target was this 277 power trail, with Muzza, McLookers, Micaparamedic, ThePacman, Papi4506 , GT37 and for the last part Team Crackers. Logs signed Vic1. We took off early but already the heat was there and the day got hotter still. Luckily some early cloud cover helped us keep up our brisk pace and we finished early afternoon. Most caches were easily found, we replaced 2 we didn't find and at least 6 others where the cache container was cracked. Glad McLookers and Muzza brought lots of supplies. This is the most I've ever found in one day, and I'm feeling it. Will be glad when we get to Adelaide and I can have a rest and a shower. A great power trail, thanks for all the hard work in placing and maintaining these.
Day #3 Leaping Forward AdventuresAfter an early morning wake up call by the Cockatoos at the aptly named Cockatoo Lake (I really should pay more attention!!!), and a morning chat with TheMorris who I hadnt realised was also setup nearby, it was off for the day.Thought Id give this trail a quick go. All caches in good order unless otherwise noted. Thanks Fishy Tales for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches and earn the souvenir before the tour is archived. Sherlock, Camped up near the church.Today we commenced the ROTF Series. Not the best day yo do it in 40 degree heat. Some cache containers we found disintergrated which we replace. The road was quite so made it easy for pulling over. Thanks Fishy Tales for hiding this cache.
I put the word out to weredunn4 that if the weather this weekend wasnt any good for kayaking, would he be interested in heading down Tailem Bend way to target the ROTF or Wandering Heroes power trails.Unbeknown to me there are some high terrain caches he didnt have that are close to the ROTL series, so I got a resounding hell yeah lets do this So here we are creating another very long line of yellow smiley faces and boosting the daily average Quickly found here today and log stampedTFTC
Cheezel was keen to tackle another powertrail of caches, so the ROTF series was chosen for the weekend (plus a few others in the area), so we jumped in Cheezels bushbasher and headed out into the sticks.Progressing through the powertrail from the Sherlock end to MeningieCache found and log stamped.

Cardinal Allucingoli was elected pope at Velletri in September 1181, taking the name Lucius. He lived at Rome from November 1181 to March 1182, but dissensions in the city compelled him to pass the remainder of his pontificate in exile, mainly at Velletri, Anagni and Verona.
At Velletri he received the ambassadors of King William of Scotland who had disputed with Alexander III candidates to fill a vacancy of the See of St. Andrews. The King appointed his chaplain Hugh, but the canons of the chapter had elected the archdeacon John Scotus. Lucius freed the king from all ecclesiastical censures incurred under his predecessor and agreed to a compromise by which Hugh was raised to the see of St. Andrews and John became Bishop of Dunkeld. In March 1183, as a sign of good will the pope sent the king the Golden Rose. In September of that year he went to Segni to canonize Saint Bruno, who had been bishop of that place.
Lucius was in dispute with the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick I over the disposal of the territories of the late Countess Matilda of Tuscany. The controversy over the succession to the inheritance of the Countess had been left unsettled by an agreement of 1177, and the Emperor proposed in 1182 that the Curia should renounce its claim, receiving in exchange two-tenths of the imperial income from Italy, one-tenth for the Pope and the other tenth for the cardinals. Lucius consented neither to this proposition nor to another compromise suggested by Frederick I the next year, nor did a personal discussion between the two potentates at Verona in October 1184 lead to any definite result.
During the conflict between Frederick I and the papacy, the problem of heresy required a political solution. In 1184, Lucius decreed Ad abolendam that all "counts, barons, rectors, [and] consuls of cities and other places" who did not join in the struggle against heresy when called upon to do so would be excommunicated and their territories placed under interdict – and declared that these provisions joined the apostolic authority of the church with the sanction of imperial power.

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. It is a wonderful day, just perfect for geocaching (actually, the rain hasn't stopped today and Mr ILT is getting a bit cold and Grumpy and there is no hot pie shop in sight).
Once again we are on the trail, this time the ROTF Series. Most caches were found quickly due to accurate coordinates cracked or broken caches were replaced as required.

Went out today with one goal in mind to reach my next milestone, I really enjoy this trail, its so peaceful out here with the geopup. Thankyou for these caches and maintaining them for our enjoyment.
Returned to do more of the ROTF to get my numbers up for the year. Most caches were in good condition, only a few needed attention. Thanks Fishy Tales.
Staying at Meningie again we decided to carry on from where we stopped last year and worked our way up to the Dukes Hwy, most were quick finds although some of the caches took a bit of a search to find.

Travelling with Wollaston, Seasoned Bird and Honeysucker to complete this series. Good to be doing a trail again reminded us of our time in the USA doing trails. We were armed with new containers and many were needed as several of the original containers had become brittle and cracked while trying to open. The different hiding spots had us challenged a few times and the pile of rocks were definitely our favourite quick find and back to the car and onto next. Our thanks to Fishy Tales for placing this cache series and enhancing our enjoyment of the area..
Spent the day caching this group from 051 to 0213 from north of Meningie to the Dukes Highway. Thank you for the placement of the caches. Had a great day.
Thanks Fishy Tales for the cache, the series and the ongoing maintenance.
Today we headed down to Meningie to continue the ROTF series which we started on 8 Jan 2021. We commenced at #051 and headed east, we called it a day at #213 at Yumali. Our driver was skilled, and two of us typically fell out of the car to grab the cache hiding under or sitting near the SPOR. The weather changed quite a bit today, we had overcast, sun, cool, warm and some showers all mixed in there. We saw a few animals but no snakes. We covered the containers to be out of sight and the sunlight, and replaces those that needed it.
#182 was surrounded by countless rabbit holes, so watch your step. The mint tin replacement has allowed the book to become soaked, signed as best we could, not replaced.
This cache was in good condition. Log prepared and submitted with GSAK

A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA. With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
Our team “The Mob” consisted of GoodLook, LíB, Rapidlywild, The Drovers, feathertop and ourselves. This team ended up being very productive and some new friendships were made. Always a bonus in my book. All logs were stamped with “The Mob” to save space and time.
After completing all the trails, we had set out to do and a couple more for good measure it was time for this mob to go its separate ways.
After deciding to bail from doing the wandering heroes we looked on the map and noticed the ROTF trail. So headed out early with Rapidlywild to see what they were like. Weather was lovely and overcast and besides gaining a passenger being a rather large huntsman at one of the caches the trail went pretty smoothly.
Thanks for the all the hides and trail Fishy Tales and for the fun Rapidlywild

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.
We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.
Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.
With the Turtle done, the PS Series done, the On Ya Bike done, the TdU & TdF done as well as the Riddlers done, our targeted caches has been accomplished. With the teams now split and it was back to FurfacesLL and myself, we had heaps to choose from. Yesterday we did some Wandering Heroes caches which were time consuming. Today we chose to head further south and do the ROTF series instead.
Thanks for the hides Fishy Tales And thanks FurfacesLL for a trip to remember [^].

23,003. Found with minniek during our Post-Christmas escape to South Australia.
This trip to South Australia was on again off again due to the changing circumstances in the various states we had to travel through. Finally getting a green light from all 3 states we headed off early boxing day. Day 11 of our adventures took us back to the ROTF series. We did #277 to #230 yesterday, and our aim for the day - a big day - is to finish the series starting at #001. This we managed with 230 finds - Phew ! All caches were found quickly and in good order unless otherwise stated. Next find of the day. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, and then headed off to the next one.
Thanks Fishy Tales !! I'm reading these as I'm logging and finding all the information very interesting !

Today fitzy _1965, 2 geokids and I decided to finish the rest of this trail.
We had a few DNFs and one we couldn’t attempt because a farmer was at GZ at the time.
The day was long but fun was had. We had some trouble with the hints not necessarily matching the hide so an open mind is suggested for the cachers following us.
Thanks Fishy Tails for all the cache placements.

Got time today to log some caches from our found list. Found on 26 October, cache in good order, replaced as found. Thanks to Fishy Tails for setting this run.TFTC
Up bright and early to head out and tackle some local caches, especially some 4x4 ones. It was only 4degrees at 8am and foggy when we left the caravan park, the sun was setting as we returned to town and the petrol station. [:o)]
Great day but muggles everywhere! No matter how remote we were there were muggles, they came in all shapes and sizes. Off road bike riders and car loads of kiddies, grain carrying trucks, fertilizer trucks, fertilizer spreading trucks, even 4 wombats crossed the road in front of us.
We managed to tackle some of the ROTF series on our way back to camp.

Today we made a second attempt on the ROTF series. We ended up with 142 finds which included 3 caches which were not from the series and 4 DNF’s. Our biggest cache finding day to date and the series now complete
Once again we replaced caches where necessary (definitely going to have to eat more mints) and CITO’d where shattered containers had been left behind when previous finders had replaced broken caches.
Once again we played tag with a grader operator (had to return to a couple of caches later in the day) and crossed paths with an SA Water meter reader many times.
Many thanks Fishy Tales for another big swag of smileys

Sir Spectre, mogni and I joined to complete the ROTF series from start to finish in one day. We started at 001 and went to 277. Sir Spectre had a big bucket of containers to replace(with permission of CO) the containers that were broken and by the end of the trail the bucket was empty. Several logs were damaged and replaced with logs mogni had made. I found the hint on a lot of the caches was incorrect. The weather was warm and by the end of the trail I had enough of pulling grass seeds out of my socks. The road was quiet and I think I only saw about half a dozen other vehicles along the trail. After we had completed this series we found a few new caches in Sherlock which was good a good finish to the day. Thanks Fishy Tales for the caches
On a day out with mogni and allister w. Today's target's where to get a multi cache on this calendar day for me, a puzzle cache on this calendar day for mogni and complete all of the ROTF series. All of the target's where met today. As a bonus we did the new released sherlock series at the end of the ROTF series. I am not sure what the weather was doing today. The forecast was for 28 and sunny but mogni's car was telling us it peaked at 38 degrees outside the car, with a hot breeze off the farm land.
The ROTF series condition was poor. I replaced the damaged containers as i went along the trail ( 1/2 a plastic bag full of broken containers ). Some had been biten by animals, others perished to UV rays and one had a new log but no cache container, just a plastic bag. If the log was soaked it was replaced as some people didn't put the lids back on properly and some of the replacement caches where smaller then the orginals and some of those logs where commonly found full and replaced.

Well, the Mega was over, my geobuddies headed back home and now I was off to SA to continue my geotrip solo
Moving right along on my georoad trip and next stop...Meningie! Now..off to grab the ROTF series! Had a massive day in the very warm weather tackling 1 - 200 before calling it a day. Most were easy finds, with some proving a challenge and a number of DNFs due to missing caches. All good though! Found stacks of caches so very happy with that!
Thanks for the hide and for the series, Fishy Tales

KGS had a crazy idea of an extended weekend, starting from the mega and then onto SA!! We wanted to see how many we could find and still get back to our accommodation near MEL airport before midnight! We ended up exhausted and covered in dust, but what fun! TFTC!!!
Having a wonderful time on a mad caching weekend with Hinemoana! The mega, this trail and then back to Melbourne airport for a flight out Monday morning! Nutty, but great fun! Love those white rocks!
Sorceysal and I decided to complete some of this series today and we started with this one. The road was in good condition and the weather was perfect. noticed that some of the logs and containers had been replaced. This was perfect for us as we found all of the ones that we attempted.
Thanks you Feathertop and Goodlook for that maintenance run.

On the way to South OZ in the company of 6hinemoa2 to complete a few series and get the numbers up. Sorry for the generic logs but there are just too many finds to remember them all. Thanks to all the CO's for their efforts in placing these caches for us to find.
My great buddy Goodlook teamed up with me again on the task of copleting and maintaining the Pope series out of Meningie.
Cache #1 sums up our journey
Many thanks for setting this series up,

No luck despite a good look around. Had visit from friendly policeman who thought our car was abandoned.
Hi there Fishy Tales.
We found your cache **"ROTF 182"** today. (This makes our find count 21543).
Today we headed out from Meningie for day 4 of our attempt on the "ROTF" series, plus any others we may have come across on our travels. We started at #181 & from there we proceeded to log caches up to #218 before getting bored & headed back to camp. We thoroughly enjoyed today's cache finds, but please excuse our boilerplate logs - we know it's not really a good excuse, but we find it difficult to craft individual logs when we attempt so many similar caches in a day. [:(!]
We found 83 caches today & DNF'd 0. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found most caches within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking. [:(!] (We did have to look a little further afield for some though). [:(!]
**Cache Condition:** The containers and log books were mostly in good shape. Some hints were pure fiction though.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge in the majority of caches.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny

I had planned a big few days of caching in SA so I left work on a Tuesday evening and hit the road from Melbourne. This was my first full day of caching and it was centred around this power trail. Please excuse the generic log as by and large the containers were easy to find and in good condition. In a few cases I have made a note specific to that cache. I did the caches north of Dukes Highway and then headed back to count down from 213. A great run of finds along here and hardly any traffic which helped me to make great progress on the series. Many logs just signed as 91AT for brevity. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and the series Fishy Tales.
Time to continue on the northern part of this series of caches on yet another very windy day. It was another day to hang on tight to each log as it was signed so it didn't go blowin' in the wind. Some of the caches in this section were quickly found, while others took a bit longer as they seemed to be a bit away from the listed co-ords. When we could not find a few of them, we looked at the hint. They were eventually found, but the hint for some of them was wrong. The rest of this series may be on the program at a later date. Thanks to Fishy Tales for this extensive series of caches.
Had some fun along this long caching trail on a very windy day. Each log was signed before we moved on. TFTC.
Found during an awesome caching day along the ROTF trail with gridge98, with a total of 280 caches for the day (a personal best) in exactly 7 hours (an average of one find in every 1 minute, 30 seconds). Most caches were found relatively easily and in good condition, signing the logs as "gf14/11". Thanks for the cache and series Fishy Tales!
A great day out with Featherwaite, we completed the whole ROTF series with a few extra caches along the way, this was his biggest day.
Overall most of the finds weren’t to hard but some were a little difficult.
We signed the logbooks all as gf1411
We only had one issue with a property which was at 46/47 as a dog chased us along side the fence but we returned a bit later to sign the log books.

Out with woolwood9 and we enjoyed getting some more finds in the area.
Thanks for putting this cache out and showing us around! SL
We enjoyed the ROTF trail today. Some tough finds in places but we had a fun time collecting the caches.

Found as part of H.A.M alliance in the past year after release. Lots of little trips while on route to other things gave us opportunities to pay our respect to the series of the father. As a person who has always been a challenged fisherman, there has always been a lot of faith needed when I cast a line into the waters.
Thanks to Fishy Tales and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [:o)]
Quick trip to the Cootie to drop the hound off for one of his twice yearly holidays on the farm followed by a nice lunch at Avenue with the family. The long lunch meant we only had time for 20 on the trail on the way home in the lovely end of day light. We should just do what other power finders have done and only stop and stamp 1 in 3 but then that kind of defeats the purpose of finding them!! TFTC we are enjoying knocking off this series slowly but surely.
Found on our 2018 mega trip with Roostaman and Rebel Acts.
Thanks for the cache Fishy Tales, cheers from the Riverina, NSW,

Found as part of My Annual leave SA adventure, I had a great time touring the Yorke Peninsula and other areas of the state. I met up with Roostaman and Mrs Rooster in Adelaide and we headed over to tackle the ROTF trail and a few other local caches. No offence but the ROTF reminded Me of something My late Mate dak's Emu Mob told me once " it locks like they tossed it out the window and hit mark as they drove past" had to laugh at the memory. Thanks Fishy Tales for the cache.

Heading home after a weekend at Meningie, nice caravan park there on the lakes edge, not that we spent any time there besides sleeping. Nice actually getting the caches in the area and spending time just the Emily boys (we really need a name change). Nice now sharing the driving, and adult conversations, caching has definatelly changed from when we started with young kids, Thanks for the caches and the family time doing them.
Thanks to Fishy Tales for the big series. Thanks for all the caches. Claiming a fing as a beta tester. Apologies for the generic logs and thank for the series Fishy Tales. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the CO for placing these here for our enjoyment.
Stamped the log as "Fabulous Randoms" whilst on the pursuit for some hidden creature souvenirs!
We visited caches 213 to 160 (just off the Dukes Hwy) The coordinates were overall fantastic and the hides were generally straight forward.
Sadly I still can't drive, or walk on uneven terrain So I was super happy when I was able to be a passenger and 'spotter' of caches today whilst others did the actual footwork. I spotted about 50% of them from the car/ from standing on the road, which was my contribution - as was the fun car convos and picnic lunch.
Thanks so much for yet another excellent power trail Fishy Tales!

What a lovely day for a country drive. Today was the first time I have found 50+ geocaches in one day - certainly a memorable occasion.

This was a real last minute decision for us to join maccamob for a day of caching doing some of this trail, which we are really happy it all came together. We met up in Meningie and maccamob were kind enough to chauffeur us around for the day. We were hoping to get 80 caches (what we needed to collect all the “Little Creatures souvenirs”) but had heard bad reports about the hides and coordinates so were not over confident.
Turned out to be the opposite, we found a multitude of hides, most with excellent coordinates and all up got 210 of this series with no DNF’s , plus a couple of others thrown in. We even located 2 containers at #32, #42, #112 and #117 so consolidated them into the original containers.
All in all this was a very enjoyable series made even better by being able to do it with good friends. We laughed all the way, found some different style of hides, saw some deer cross the road on our way north and kangaroos on our way back.
Many thanks Fishy Tales for the great trail and quite interesting cache pages, we now know a lot more about past Popes than we used to, which was next to nothing, and were quite surprised at the differing lengths of time in office.
Apologies for the generic log but when you do so many in a day it is hard to keep each one separated. We will be back to finish the others soon.
To save room in the log books we signed as “mmTC” or TCmm with the date.

Found by Mary & David, in company with Team Crackers (signed as TCmm or mmTC), at 1513. Our thanks to Fishy Tales.
Went for an afternoon's drive with Sebastbat today.
A few random caches plus completing the ring series North of Hannah Well Rd.
When doing the series we simplified things a little, signing as S&M
Most were found quickly, due to the trampling of a disaster the day before,
a couple were hidden rather well, probably by the same "disaster".
Will return soon for the remaining ones, this was our last for the day down here.
Thank you Fishy Tales for putting out and maintaining this cache

Two cachers with the name "Wayne" set out to do the series today, Joined by Murray and KB, who became honarary Wayne's for the day.
We have established on previous outings that the collective noun for a group of Wayne's is a "disaster", so a Disaster of Waynes (logged as DOW) logged the series today.
It was cold, wet, the unsealled section of road was slippery and at times it rained, but we persisted and found all but two of them. The two that weren't found were replaced in the obvious location at GZ, which matched the hint and clearly previously hosted the cache.
The co-ordinates on all of the caches seems 'reasonable" with at least one GPS in our group agreeing with the caches final location, even if the others didn't.
Thanks for a great excuse to get out on an otherwise unattractive day.

Continuing to cache this trail with AnyMules, Munja and Moneydork. Thanks for the hide.
It was during the last week that Any Mules of the Disasters of Wayne variety suggested a day of caching down past Tailem Bend. The plan was to attack the ROTF series and then caches around Meningie and Tailem Bend if time allowed. With Moneydork and E.B. joining us, we cached under the name ‘Disasters of Wayne', or DOW for short with caches being signed under that name for the ROTF series. We made good progress with the series, completing it much faster than I expected. With Moneydork not having any more caches to find in the area (I recall he now had less that 2,000 to find for the whole of South Australia) he left us to head home. The rest of us kept going in the pursuit of more finds getting some fun finds that were definitely worth a few favourite points. As the sun set in the sky, K.B. decided to call it a day and headed back to her accommodation, with Any Mules and myself powering on. It wasn’t that much later that we too decided that we had had enough and decided to make our way home, well we made a few stops for caches on the way back but what do you expect. And enjoyable day was had with a massive find count as a reward.

Two of the "Disaster of Waynes" (Moneydork and myself) had planned a trip do hit this series, but we delayed it until the Magical Creatures promotion was on - an easy way to clock up all the required finds and get all the souvenirs in one easy trip.
A call was put out on Faceache for any other willing participants to join us and Munja and K.B. both answered positively.
We met up with K.B. at Tailem Bend and grabbed a cache or two on the way to the series.
We had some good laughs, some slips on the wet ground and some troubles locating some of the caches which were placed in different locations than indicated by the hints. But we managed to find them all.
Logged as "DOW" (short for "Disaster of Waynes").
Thanks for the cache Fishy Tales. Found on 7 Jul 2018.

Found with FUF009 while on a planned caching weekend so I could find my 10,000th cache. We did 180 to 276 of this series before going off to do more scenic caches. 213 to 180 was the worst road with so many potholes and corrugated spots. Caches were found without using hints as they were not usually accurate. Tftc

Headed over the border into South Australia for a June Long Weekend caching trip to Meningie. Oh and to help sharkiefan make it to the big 10,000th smiley.
We had planned to complete the ROTF series from the Nth down but we abandoned the trail at #180 after the road had gotten quite rough.
This decision gave us more time to cache and have a good look around the Meningie and Lake Albert area.
One day we will be back to finish off the 179 left in this series.

Suscoe headed out with our very good friends Phetlern to spend a day on the ROTF trail.
We spotted rabbits, a fox, a hare, sheep, cattle, lots of birds and various types of farm machinery as we wandered the roads in this area.
We found over 160 caches today.
Sunshine, some cloud and a gentle breeze.
Thanks to Fishy Tales for this trail and cache.

With very little understanding of Papal history, it was more our passion for caching that drew us and our fellow Victorian caching buddies the Suscoe duo on a pilgrimage across the border to complete the Fisherman's Ring.
Day two of our adventure - fascinating scenery, including a palm filled oasis and many shapely xanthorrhoea at the roadside. We also saw a fox, a hare and a couple of reptiles. In total we found 161 ROTF caches for the day.
Thanks 'Fishy Tales' for placing this interesting series.

Today we are doing GENERIC logs, to us this does not mean that the cache is any less worthy, we still appreciate the effort that has gone into the placement and research for the cache note page especially when their are so many.
Today we feel honoured to spend time with brisal5 as he caches his way to his milestone '10,000' cache. A huge thanks goes out to all the cachers who help maintain this trail as today it gave us a 100% find rate. I was looked after today by Brian and Dennis as I sat in the back and navigated etc and only got out of the car when the need to stretch happened. Thankyou.
Trivia - Cache number 107 was the 107th cache that we found today. We did not plan this and were quite surprised when we noticed this interesting, to us, fact.
All caches that we found today are in good condition.

I was on a bit of a mission to reach 10000 finds before I reached a milestone birthday. Mr and Mrs. Muff1 offered to lend a hand and get the required number I wanted by driving me along this series. [^] They had already done the first 25 and the last 60 odd so we decided to start at 213 and work our way backwards to the required number.
All went well with no DNFs due to Firesafe having come through the previous day and fixed any that required fixing! [:o)]
Pretty good road with some amazing grass tree flower spikes and a bonus flock of fifty plus yellow tailed black cockatoos at the very last cache we did. Now I had two ends to complete some time [B)]

06/05/2018 A big day today with the final 222 caches of the series found. Managed to find another couple of farmers enquiring to what was going on. They are now suitably informed on geocaching. TFTC.
Getting a few caches in the area. I realised on this trip I must be spoiled for scenery in nz. Way to hot for us today. There were too many friendly flies about today. TFTC
