My wife and I don't tend to travel down to Melbourne from Brisbane all that often and we had last headed down here for a mini break back in March. It was therefore a surprise that we found ourselves here again so soon, travelling with my wife's Aunt and Uncle to visit some art exhibitions, a musical performance and the Lightscape display in the Botanical Gardens. With not much on the agenda today, my wife decided to join me on a meandering walk through the University, on to the cemetery and across to the zoo to catch a tram back to the city. Although this cache had been archived 3 1/2 years ago by the reviewers, for some reason I still had it in my GSAK database. A review of the last few logs indicated that the cache might still be in place and on the way to the tram I ducked off for a look at GZ. Indeed my suspicions were correct and the cache was found safe at sound, still in place. I have now removed the container to avoid future pollution of the location. TFTC
25 days from the needs maintenance to temporarily disabled by a reviewer. Not even 4 weeks. It seems that the need to remove cache listings is taking priority over people enjoying the game. I shall now archive this geocache as it has served its purpose well and this will free up some space for another geocacher to place a geocache in this location. Thanks to everyone who found the geocache.

###**CACHE OWNER ACTION REQUIRED PLEASE**###
----------
Hi there Cache Owner,
This cache has come to my notice as there is a 'Needs Maintenance' log that that indicates there is some sort of issue with the placement and it needs your attention please.
Check out the Guidelines here: [**cache owners responsibilities.**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/guidelines#listingmaintenance) If you can't attend to the issue promptly, then you need to [**Disable the cache**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235) - I have Disabled it for you this time.
**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) within 14 days,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?
You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:
- Check on the cache, repair and/or replace the cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (within 14 days). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. For ongoing issues (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to speed.
- If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will unfortunately have to de-list (Archive) it on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

Thank God this one was a quick find, because there were muggles everywhere. Log is very wet after the somewhat unusual rain we had yesterday. TFTC
At Royal park with a few hours to kill whilst Geohaze performed for The AGC at the zoo twilight christmas party, so we decided what better way to spend them than geocaching! This was the first one for the night, and GeoJack had it in hand before any of us were even ready to begin our search. TFTC
Lots of muggles about but kids spy skills managed to grab it and get it back without anyone seeing them
I had to wait for a moment before retrieving and then again before returning the cache but basically it was an easy one. Logsheet is a bit torn and swollen but still functional.
Find No. 2907. Found with FUF009 at 3.20pm.
A day trip to Melbourne with the bicycles on board to ride around the city grabbing the Parkville puzzles seeing how they are going soon.
We left home around 6.20am, got to Parkville unloaded the bicycles and off we went for our days adventure. It was a typical Melbourne day with all kinds of weather.
For us it was quite different getting around the city on our bicycles and travelling all the bicycle paths. By the end of our adventure we had peddled 32.5 ks and ended up with 65 smilies.
It was quite an enjoyable day, something different for us to do and one that we will remember for quite some time.
All the caches we found were in good order and the co-ords spot on which made most of them a quick find.
Coming to the end of the Parkville caches we still had time to find a few around the zoo and this was one of them.

Found it on the way home. See the reflection by the sunlight so it’s an easy find! Thanks for the cache and thanks for the sunny day!
Easy find at around eye level. A family was close by and didn't want to leave so did not sign the log
We were coming home past the Zoo and like the hares we are, thought we had enough lead over the tortoise Bruces to stop and grab this cache. The finding and signing didn’t take long but still we didn’t catch them again until Velo. Thanks caughtatwork
An early school holiday visit to the zoo. A few muggles & trams about. An easy find for geokids. TFTC!
Thankfully away from prying eyes! I needed a cache to complete my 7 day streak for the souvenir. Im oncall this weekend and had parked at the Netball and Hockey centre so detoured on my way home for this.
Car park was crazy and I was grateful for my tiny car as the only car park was one that had a car half parked in it and another spot. Bad parking to the max! Tftc

Coordinates are right on. 4th find here in Australia while we walk around the area. Signed the log. TFTF
After a day at the Melbourne Zoo we decided to do a cache before leaving. Nice quick find. TFTC
Mum and I went to the Zoo today for a coffee and a look at the reptiles. We've been members for my whole life, and we only live a 10 minute drive away, so in many ways its just a local coffee shop and something quick to do. We came in separate cars so that I could go caching afterwards. I got back to my car to decide where to go first, and this one was only 44m away! A nice quick find, good to get the caching brain going. Thanks caughtatwork!
Another day out with School children at the nearby Netball Centre
Whilst waiting for them, I decided to go for a walk between rain showers
Easy find before 100’s of junior muggles invaded the parked up buses

The second full day in town with Mrs Dragon, to catch up with family and friends along with a few days out of the city down the "Great Ocean Road" to take in the beauty that is around every turn as its been 20 plus years since I had traveled that road and she has never been along that route.
We love the vibrancy of Melbourne and Victoria in general and as such trips back here are not infrequent.
So with an AFL Game to head to with the brother-in-law this afternoon it was a chance for a visit in the morning to the Melbourne Zoo. So we arrived early after having had breakfast at the Queen Victoria Markets and with time on our side (waiting for the Gates to open) we grabbed the two caches here, close to the entrance.
Thanks for the quick find and the placement

On our third walk around the zoo, talking to animals, I realised that I had not found this one, so we stopped by for a search. quiet1_au had already found this one and gave me a good push before I spotted the hide. Thanks for the cache, caughtatwork.
Whilst doing a puzzle cache (day1976's AR_Parkville zoo animals) thought I'd pop over & grab this one. A few scratches from the branches later (the GPS was jumping around a bit) we just opened our eyes and, well, saw it hanging around. Thanks caughtatwork for the cache.
A bit tricky at first as GPS jumping around a bit. Time to put it away & just look. Previous logs & photos helpful. Thanks caughtatwork for the hide.

I let GrahamT scramble around in the scrub for this one after a great day at the Zoo.

Oh boy! Wrote out the details in my note book BUT didn't load it on the GPS....remembered the map of the area and the gallery...ah ha! Got it. And again care in rerolling the log paper so important to fit it all together again.
