While on a road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide, today we decided to do some of this series. After attempting #1-#156 in the morning, we returned to Meningie to join with CatCasper, check out the Pink Lake, and continue this series. Logs were signed AP for AddisonPascal and CC for CatCasper. We looked for #157-#213 before having lunch in Yumali. In this stretch we found 41 and DNFed 16, with many of the later ones being DNFs. Mostly these caches were in pretty bad condition, with many damaged containers and hides not matching hints. The whole series could do with a maintenance check. However, it was fun, and thank you to Fishy Tales for setting up this series!Unfortunately we were unable to find this one. Given that this was the case for all but one of the caches from here to Yumali, I suspect they may have been muggled.

Since CatCasper and I couldnt find it, and neither could the last cacher, I think this should be checked up on.

Cachehilsen fra Ellen Sch, NorgeMe and MrVon sr have come down to Australia and New Zealand, -an old dream has finally come to an end. Team Eika and Ingsve have also traveled with us on this trip.We have been traveling cross-country for a month, and the goal is to end up in Adeleide and mega-event on the leap year. We have especially looked for old caches, to fill jasmer'n, for a couple of pieces, and for the other two of us who have started to think about reviewing more. The vast majority of them showed up at their places, sometimes we had to search a bit, but we were usually lucky in the end. There were also some DNFs.We have mostly logged in with the common nickname N3 (ingsve, Von sr. and Ellen Sch), but our own nicknames are also used.A big thank you to all you CO's for laying out and maintaining your caches. Without their work, we would never have been able to make a living with this hobby.Always nice to have a new smiley face on the map.Cache greetings from Ellen Sch, Norway

Today's target was this 277 power trail, with Muzza, McLookers, Micaparamedic, ThePacman, Papi4506 , GT37 and for the last part Team Crackers. Logs signed Vic1. We took off early but already the heat was there and the day got hotter still. Luckily some early cloud cover helped us keep up our brisk pace and we finished early afternoon. Most caches were easily found, we replaced 2 we didn't find and at least 6 others where the cache container was cracked. Glad McLookers and Muzza brought lots of supplies. This is the most I've ever found in one day, and I'm feeling it. Will be glad when we get to Adelaide and I can have a rest and a shower. A great power trail, thanks for all the hard work in placing and maintaining these.

Found today with ConnieandRick, McLookers, ThePacman, Micaparamedic, Papi4506, GeoTurtle37 and Team Crackers towards the end. Most caches found immediately, some requiring a bit more time, and a couple of missing ones replaced. All signed as Vic1.Many thanks to Fishy Tales for the cache.

There is a rather large contingent of Victorians heading to the Mega in Adelaide tomorrow so some of us decided to meet at Meningie and attack this trail. ConnieandRick, McLookers, ThePacman, Micaparamedic, Muzza, GeoTurtle37 and myself started off nice and early and were later joined by Team Crackers who had already completed a lot of those we found earlier. We didn't have too much trouble with any finds and although it was rather warm, we all had a great day out.Thank you for the time and effort that has gone into setting up and now maintaining this trail for all to enjoy.

Found this cache on a 24-day trip to Australia and New Zealand with a night of stopover in Qatar. In Qatar we have an evening and almost a full day of geocaching before we take the long flight to Downunder. In Australia we will visit the citys of Sydney, Melbourne, Aidelaide and Cairns. Our stays in New Zealand will be in Aukland, Rotorua, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown. For me the focus will be on old caches, placed in 2000 and obviously on the remaining webcams in Australia and New Zealand. We are a group of 38 Geocachers from Germany, Denmark and Luxembourg. At geocaches that we visit as a group, we sign the logbooks with our team-name "Team DownUnder24" to safe the owners a lot of space in the logbooks. For two days keeiner and me split of the group and headed to Aidelaide for the 3 webcams there. We took a rental car and a night in the Hotel there.A quick findMerci frs Dosal sogt da GoanToni Thanks to Fishy Tales for hiding and maintaining this geocache.

I put the word out to weredunn4 that if the weather this weekend wasnt any good for kayaking, would he be interested in heading down Tailem Bend way to target the ROTF or Wandering Heroes power trails.Unbeknown to me there are some high terrain caches he didnt have that are close to the ROTL series, so I got a resounding hell yeah lets do this So here we are creating another very long line of yellow smiley faces and boosting the daily average Quickly found here today and log stampedTFTC

Travelling with Wollaston, Seasoned Bird and Honeysucker to complete this series. Good to be doing a trail again reminded us of our time in the USA doing trails. We were armed with new containers and many were needed as several of the original containers had become brittle and cracked while trying to open. The different hiding spots had us challenged a few times and the pile of rocks were definitely our favourite quick find and back to the car and onto next. Our thanks to Fishy Tales for placing this cache series and enhancing our enjoyment of the area..

I needed a break on the drive home from Millicent to Adelaide and this looked like a good spot.

I only grabbed a handful because the wind was so strong, I could hardly get the car door open.

The vast majority of the massive trail have been left for another day.

Thanks for the cache Fishy Tales.

Thanks Fishy Tales for the cache, the series and the ongoing maintenance.

Today we headed down to Meningie to continue the ROTF series which we started on 8 Jan 2021. We commenced at #051 and headed east, we called it a day at #213 at Yumali. Our driver was skilled, and two of us typically fell out of the car to grab the cache hiding under or sitting near the SPOR. The weather changed quite a bit today, we had overcast, sun, cool, warm and some showers all mixed in there. We saw a few animals but no snakes. We covered the containers to be out of sight and the sunlight, and replaces those that needed it.

This cache was in good condition. Log prepared and submitted with GSAK

A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA. With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
Our team “The Mob” consisted of GoodLook, LíB, Rapidlywild, The Drovers, feathertop and ourselves. This team ended up being very productive and some new friendships were made. Always a bonus in my book. All logs were stamped with “The Mob” to save space and time.
After completing all the trails, we had set out to do and a couple more for good measure it was time for this mob to go its separate ways.

After deciding to bail from doing the wandering heroes we looked on the map and noticed the ROTF trail. So headed out early with Rapidlywild to see what they were like. Weather was lovely and overcast and besides gaining a passenger being a rather large huntsman at one of the caches the trail went pretty smoothly.

Thanks for the all the hides and trail Fishy Tales and for the fun Rapidlywild

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.

We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.

Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.

With the Turtle done, the PS Series done, the On Ya Bike done, the TdU & TdF done as well as the Riddlers done, our targeted caches has been accomplished. With the teams now split and it was back to FurfacesLL and myself, we had heaps to choose from. Yesterday we did some Wandering Heroes caches which were time consuming. Today we chose to head further south and do the ROTF series instead.

Thanks for the hides Fishy Tales Big Grin And thanks FurfacesLL for a trip to remember [^].

23,031. Found with minniek during our Post-Christmas escape to South Australia.

This trip to South Australia was on again off again due to the changing circumstances in the various states we had to travel through. Finally getting a green light from all 3 states we headed off early boxing day. Day 11 of our adventures took us back to the ROTF series. We did #277 to #230 yesterday, and our aim for the day - a big day - is to finish the series starting at #001. This we managed with 230 finds - Phew ! All caches were found quickly and in good order unless otherwise stated. Next find of the day. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, and then headed off to the next one.

Thanks Fishy Tales !! I'm reading these as I'm logging and finding all the information very interesting !

Today fitzy _1965, 2 geokids and I decided to finish the rest of this trail.

We had a few DNFs and one we couldn’t attempt because a farmer was at GZ at the time.

The day was long but fun was had. We had some trouble with the hints not necessarily matching the hide so an open mind is suggested for the cachers following us.

Thanks Fishy Tails for all the cache placements.

Up bright and early to head out and tackle some local caches, especially some 4x4 ones. It was only 4degrees at 8am and foggy when we left the caravan park, the sun was setting as we returned to town and the petrol station. [:o)]

Great day but muggles everywhere! No matter how remote we were there were muggles, they came in all shapes and sizes. Off road bike riders and car loads of kiddies, grain carrying trucks, fertilizer trucks, fertilizer spreading trucks, even 4 wombats crossed the road in front of us. Surprised

We managed to tackle some of the ROTF series on our way back to camp.

CONTAINER WAS BROKEN SO WE REPLACED IT WHILST HERE.

Today we made a second attempt on the ROTF series. We ended up with 142 finds which included 3 caches which were not from the series and 4 DNF’s. Our biggest cache finding day to date and the series now complete

Once again we replaced caches where necessary (definitely going to have to eat more mints) and CITO’d where shattered containers had been left behind when previous finders had replaced broken caches.

Once again we played tag with a grader operator (had to return to a couple of caches later in the day) and crossed paths with an SA Water meter reader many times.

Many thanks Fishy Tales for another big swag of smileys

Sir Spectre, mogni and I joined to complete the ROTF series from start to finish in one day. We started at 001 and went to 277. Sir Spectre had a big bucket of containers to replace(with permission of CO) the containers that were broken and by the end of the trail the bucket was empty. Several logs were damaged and replaced with logs mogni had made. I found the hint on a lot of the caches was incorrect. The weather was warm and by the end of the trail I had enough of pulling grass seeds out of my socks. The road was quiet and I think I only saw about half a dozen other vehicles along the trail. After we had completed this series we found a few new caches in Sherlock which was good a good finish to the day. Thanks Fishy Tales for the caches

12-Jan-20
On a day out with mogni and allister w. Today's target's where to get a multi cache on this calendar day for me, a puzzle cache on this calendar day for mogni and complete all of the ROTF series. All of the target's where met today. As a bonus we did the new released sherlock series at the end of the ROTF series. I am not sure what the weather was doing today. The forecast was for 28 and sunny but mogni's car was telling us it peaked at 38 degrees outside the car, with a hot breeze off the farm land.
The ROTF series condition was poor. I replaced the damaged containers as i went along the trail ( 1/2 a plastic bag full of broken containers ). Some had been biten by animals, others perished to UV rays and one had a new log but no cache container, just a plastic bag. If the log was soaked it was replaced as some people didn't put the lids back on properly and some of the replacement caches where smaller then the orginals and some of those logs where commonly found full and replaced.

Well, the Mega was over, my geobuddies headed back home and now I was off to SA to continue my geotrip solo Cool

Moving right along on my georoad trip and next stop...Meningie! Now..off to grab the ROTF series! Day 2 and back on the trail to tackle 201 - 277. Most were easy finds, with some proving a challenge and a number of DNFs due to missing caches. All good though! Found stacks of caches so very happy with that!

Thanks for the hide and for the series, Fishy Tales Cool

Geez there are more of these popes that have come from France than we realized, so far its looking like the area around France and Italy have the monopoly. Good to see they all put in a decent effort to do the pope job, bet the perks were pretty good though.

As the weather isn't improving it's time to get tough and just get on with it. We came to do the trail and the trail will be done. In the cold and drizzle we hatched plan A which was to drive to furthest and and work our way back. Very glad plan A got cancelled. Due to some serious looking road works we checked to see which side of the road this cache may be on and then realised that the majority were on the left. ( you would think by now that basic caching research would come naturally to us but it obviously doesn't, lol). Therefore plan B was hatched, let's start caching now! So 152 become our number 1 and we moved on from there. All but 3 caches were in good order, NM placed on those in need and 2 DNF so overall a good days caching if just a little soggy and cold. Thanks to CO for the work in maintaining this series. Tftc

Hi there Fishy Tales.

We found your cache **"ROTF 210"** today. (This makes our find count 21571).

Today we headed out from Meningie for day 4 of our attempt on the "ROTF" series, plus any others we may have come across on our travels. We started at #181 & from there we proceeded to log caches up to #218 before getting bored & headed back to camp. We thoroughly enjoyed today's cache finds, but please excuse our boilerplate logs - we know it's not really a good excuse, but we find it difficult to craft individual logs when we attempt so many similar caches in a day. [:(!]

We found 83 caches today & DNF'd 0. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found most caches within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking. [:(!] (We did have to look a little further afield for some though). [:(!]
**Cache Condition:** The containers and log books were mostly in good shape. Some hints were pure fiction though.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge in the majority of caches.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny

I had planned a big few days of caching in SA so I left work on a Tuesday evening and hit the road from Melbourne. This was my first full day of caching and it was centred around this power trail. Please excuse the generic log as by and large the containers were easy to find and in good condition. In a few cases I have made a note specific to that cache. I did the caches north of Dukes Highway and then headed back to count down from 213. A great run of finds along here and hardly any traffic which helped me to make great progress on the series. Many logs just signed as 91AT for brevity. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and the series Fishy Tales.

Time to continue on the northern part of this series of caches on yet another very windy day. It was another day to hang on tight to each log as it was signed so it didn't go blowin' in the wind. Some of the caches in this section were quickly found, while others took a bit longer as they seemed to be a bit away from the listed co-ords. When we could not find a few of them, we looked at the hint. They were eventually found, but the hint for some of them was wrong. The rest of this series may be on the program at a later date. Thanks to Fishy Tales for this extensive series of caches.

Had some fun along this long caching trail on a very windy day. Each log was signed before we moved on. TFTC.

Found during an awesome caching day along the ROTF trail with gridge98, with a total of 280 caches for the day (a personal best) in exactly 7 hours (an average of one find in every 1 minute, 30 seconds). Most caches were found relatively easily and in good condition, signing the logs as "gf14/11". Thanks for the cache and series Fishy Tales!

A great day out with Featherwaite, we completed the whole ROTF series with a few extra caches along the way, this was his biggest day.
Overall most of the finds weren’t to hard but some were a little difficult.
We signed the logbooks all as gf1411
We only had one issue with a property which was at 46/47 as a dog chased us along side the fence but we returned a bit later to sign the log books.

Found as part of H.A.M alliance in the past year after release. Lots of little trips while on route to other things gave us opportunities to pay our respect to the series of the father. As a person who has always been a challenged fisherman, there has always been a lot of faith needed when I cast a line into the waters.

Thanks to Fishy Tales and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [:o)]

Found as part of My Annual leave SA adventure, I had a great time touring the Yorke Peninsula and other areas of the state. I met up with Roostaman and Mrs Rooster in Adelaide and we headed over to tackle the ROTF trail and a few other local caches. No offence but the ROTF reminded Me of something My late Mate dak's Emu Mob told me once " it locks like they tossed it out the window and hit mark as they drove past" had to laugh at the memory. Thanks Fishy Tales for the cache.

Found on the way home. I started at #277 and worked my way down, stopping at #201. All bar 276 and 268 were found, and #s 253 and 250 are completely soaked, while # 209 was busted. I will come back to do the rest.

Heading home after a weekend at Meningie, nice caravan park there on the lakes edge, not that we spent any time there besides sleeping. Nice actually getting the caches in the area and spending time just the Emily boys (we really need a name change). Nice now sharing the driving, and adult conversations, caching has definatelly changed from when we started with young kids, Thanks for the caches and the family time doing them.

Stamped the log as "Fabulous Randoms" whilst on the pursuit for some hidden creature souvenirs!

We visited caches 213 to 160 (just off the Dukes Hwy) The coordinates were overall fantastic and the hides were generally straight forward.

Sadly I still can't drive, or walk on uneven terrain TwistedSad So I was super happy when I was able to be a passenger and 'spotter' of caches today whilst others did the actual footwork. I spotted about 50% of them from the car/ from standing on the road, which was my contribution - as was the fun car convos and picnic lunch.

Thanks so much for yet another excellent power trail Fishy Tales! Smile

I was a part of "Fabulous Randoms" today (log books are stamped with this)

What a lovely day for a country drive. Today was the first time I have found 50+ geocaches in one day - certainly a memorable occasion.
