Haha, I was going to throw this one away when suddenly I realised what it was. The log is a receipt - novel but it works. We (LetThemEatCache, Kristy's Adventures and I), aka SLiK, enjoyed this walk through Treasure Island. Some great camo hides too. Thanks GoneFishen07, we intend to come back to finish the series soon.

Phillip Island sure is Treasure Island - I would happily be marooned here for a little while with the good company of team SiLK (Snipsandco and LetThemEatCache and I)!This was a lovely walk where we were greeted by many wallabies and kookaburras and I wondered which creature was doing the most selfies with the wildlife cameras, we may or may not have peered in a few Wink The caches here were well crafted and placed.Thank you for the hides and we have planned another trip to come back and explore further.

**Treasure Island Rhyll Inlet series #15-21**Nothing better than a quick road trip with like-minded geo partners-in-crime. Today it was to Phillip Island to grab a few TDOC23 and nominated caches, and any others that took our fancy. We started at the southern end of this Treasure Island reserve (at #21) and worked our way north to #15 in this series. A great walk with no DNFs, all were hidden well and very clever camo on most of them. Quite a few swamp wallabies were interested in what we were doing, or not phased at all! Lots of lovely birdlife too, and thankfully no wriggly sticks. Sorry for the template, but Im behind in my logging. Our group signed collectively as SLiK, SiLK or individual names as space would allow. Thanks BorisB&Natasha, all good here. Cache on *Throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Explore. Dream. Discover.* **Mark Twain**---Cant wait for Christmas? Come along to the next best thing, Cachemas in July! Out and about on trusty treadles AKA my MTB exploring the trail and the different landscape to my homebase. The planets aligned and a spontaneous decision to head down to the Island for some sea breeze, ozone and coastal vistas on a free day AND of course caching (or casheering as dear mum would say) transpired. This great hobby is such an invitation to explore aspects of any location and the ISLAND has plenty of that. Quick find at GZ with a good hint. TFTc and the FUN.

With our annual Phillip Island holiday coming to its last couple of days, we decided to start the day with a walk to clean up the rest of the caches we don't have smileys on in the 'Treasure Island - Rhyll Inlet' series. After the rollercoaster of a search for the last cache we looked for, this one was thankfully a quick and straightforward find.Tftc BorisB&Natasha

Day two on Phillip Island with BettyBoo3747 and the geodoggies. We got the deadly treadlies out and rode the caches around Cowes, also filling in a few AdLabs. This was different again, the camo is still attached. No well hidden though. Thanks, Robmc.

21419. Day 2 of our little Phillip Island Adventure. Looked like being the best day of the week so we loaded the doggies into their trailer, jumped on the bikes and headed out for some caching between Cowes and Rhyll and then more around town in the afternoon. Great to get a ride in although it was very very windy. This one was something we did not expect to find either. A skull for camouflage. Thanks BorisB&Natasha

Walking along the track to this cache we could hear bike racing. It turns out accommodation had been so expensive here this weekend because of the 2023 Superbike World Championship! We certainly know how to time our weekend trips away... The cache was in good order - we thought Mr Skullracing would like this one. TFTC.

On a break away from Melbourne for Christmas and New Year, spending the first 5 days staying on Phillip Island, so grabbing a few local Geocaches.

I thought I'd grab a few on this trail. Although it's extremely hot at 30c and I fairly quickly had to give up due to running out of water. Found 8 caches and had a do not find on one of them.

Most of the caches you had to step into the bush, so very weary of snakes being out on my own, good phone signal all the way though.

Got to test out my new geocaching stamp which I received for Christmas Smile
Got it although near impossible to get logbook out. Had to sign the cache, although would not want to come across this late at night...

Thanks for the cache, the hide and the trail
Log book has been signed and returned

Well, that was a bit of a surprise! Wasn’t expecting that based on the general norm.

Staying in Phillip island for a few days and noticed this trail, so while Mr geco had a nap I headed out to explore. I enjoyed the trail and the search for the clever hides. Shame to see some of the camo's had become unstuck but enjoyed the hunt. Sorry for the mass log but they merged into one when I logged them after the walk. TFTC

Out with Tiz13 & Kashbound for a day of exploring caches on the island with some specific ones in mind. So grateful for a gorgeous day after all this awful weather.

It's Halloween tomorrow so this cache was quite funny to find but even funnier by the way it was found it was definitely a joint effort between kbucky and I. Let's say from my action the coffin revealed the cache that Kbucky spotted. Log signed TKB's. Big thanks to the CO's for this cache and the others in this series - a nice variety along a nice path.

On a hike from Rhyll to Cowes around the inlet, then via the Oswin Roberts Conservation Reserve.

As I emerged from logging the previous cache, I said g'day to a passerby, then continued along the trail. Needless to say, he was just behind me as I approached this one. So I waited for him to pass, and of course he asked what I was up to.

Cue the elevator pitch.

With that, he wished me well in my search, and I started looking. And laughed enough that he heard me from a distance, so I showed him what I found.

Thanks, BorisB&Natasha. An excellent introduction to Geocaching for someone.

Spiffy- and I decided to take advantage of this rare public holiday and went to the Island. Luckily we headed off early as on the way back the traffic getting on to the island went for about 10km.

This cache was an interesting cammo!

Thanks to BorisB&Natasha for the fun and the adventure.

22-Sep-22
Today we headed off early to Phillip Island and glad we did because the traffic was at a standstill coming onto the island when we left. For a public holiday the weather was surprisingly good. After finding the main cache we needed today we deployed the scooters at the car park here and rode each direction along this awesome trail. Geez they went to a lot of trouble building all these boardwalks. A great range of caches were found along here today.

Now that one was definitely the scariest one on the trail.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Suscoe was on the Island today and we were out early taking in the Nobbies and the new Penguin centre.
Then later in the day we headed across the island and tried a few caches that we had been interested in for a while.

Thanks to BorisB&Natasha for this hide, it was nice to be back today to turn this into a smiling face.
We met a few wallabies along the track.

From 23.09 until 24.11.2019 Stadibast and I spent our holidays in Australia.
During the first four weeks we drove with a camper van from Darwin to Perth along the West coast and its amazing national parks, in which we made several hiking tours.
After that we flew to the wonderful green Tasmania for a roundtrip lasting two weeks.
For the last three weeks we went back to the continent and followed the South-East-Coast from Melbourne to Sydney.
We had impressive nine weeks in Australia, in which we hiked through various national parks, visited interesting sights and met many friendly and helpful people.
Thanks to all owners for setting and maintaining their caches.

Having arrived on the island yesterday evening we took a look at the map and decided to hike the Treasure Island - Rhyll geo-trails. We had a thoroughly enjoyable walk, did some good bird watching along the way, and of course had great fun finding lots of geocaches, many of them well camouflaged and cleverly hidden - and so many thanks to the CO for having provided us with the opportunity for another great day out geocaching. We soon found this good fun cache once in the Ground Zero area. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe

Find #10353

After completing my volunteering duties at #Parkrun this morning, I began heading for the CITO nearby. I stopped along the way in Hampton park to pick up @n0w0rries and then in Tooradin to pickup @buhfuhguh Now we were on our way. Time was tight for the CITO, but we made it with half an hour to spare.

After CITO was done and dusted, we headed for a small trail of caches nearby.

Many thanks to BorisB&Natasha for the cache. TNLN.

Big things are continuing to happen! *Are you joining the fun again in 2019?*

After getting lunch at a nearby bakery n0w0rries, ahomburg and I decided that we would tackle this little series of caches in this reserve to wait for the tide to go down for us to attempt one of our main targets for the day. So with our rain jackets on and pens at the ready, we were off.

Most of the caches in here were quick and easy finds with us progressing along nicely, all bar the last one in the reserve that took far longer then what was really required of it.

Anyways thanks for the caches and the nice walk through this well-maintained reserve.

I came here with t00thpaste. I searched both sides of the path for this one. I switched to satellite view and it proved to be where I was searching originally. This time I looked down and found the cache. It was indeed a spooky little cache and a novel way to reuse something. Thanks for the fun cache.

We are having a holiday in Phillip Island this week. Being the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend, coupled with some lovely weather, made it very busy, with muggles out everywhere you went. There were many people walking and riding along the trails today.

We broke out the bikes to do this interesting little trail, where we found a variety of good hides in different containers. We almost missed this but after expanding the search, we stumbled upon it.

Thanks for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play

Headed out this morning with my dad in tow to find some caches and get my steps up. Since it’s a hot day, we set a rough time limit and left a car at Conservation Hill carpark, then drove down to the bottom of Oswin Roberts Reserve and walked back to the other car. We found 5 out of 7 looked for, then left the rest for next time as we started to get hot and bothered. Despite the heat, it’s a lovely 4km walk. (No dogs allowed, though.)

This was our second find today - glad I brought my dad because he’s on fire! Lots and lots of falling bark (while we were there) so no shortage of cover. Found the ‘spooky’ container fairly quickly — not quite what you’d expect to find out in the bush. TFTC

01/02/2019 -- 12.42pm -- No. 1018 - 3rd of 5 finds for the day - with dgfb33 & Geogran1937.
The cooler weather had us heading out for some hunting. We headed out a little later than first planned so we decided to head west to try for some caches suitable for dgfb's power-chair. The walking track was fine just a little bumpy on the occupant as there is no bump absorbtion on the wheely wonder. After a short search the cache was found, no passing muggles to worry up on this hunt [8)] . Found, signed log & returned as found. Thanks for the cache Smile Sorry for the late log

Our connections with Phillip Island, go back almost half a century, yes it is a Treasure Island in so many ways. Of course visiting the island is made even more exciting now because of the large number and great variety of caches to be found. Having a collection of 13 smiley tokens, it was time to ride for the next 9 in the line.
We felt as if we were being watched!

Thanks to 'BorisB&Natasha' for placing this cache on the geo-gameboard.
