This *axe and pick* series geocache was previously solved back in 2021. A puzzle that didn't take long to cotton on its technique (and another creative way of displaying via outlines!).Today, I was stopped at this geocache, and the cache was a quick find in the usual/predictable spot. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [georode](https://coord.info/PR2V198) for the cache placement, and [kolour](https://coord.info/PRDR6H9) for its ongoing maintenance.----------Today, I headed west to Brookfield and Pullendale area and targeted the *axe and pick* geoart series that were accessible from the road (or short walks).I started in Kenmore and Kenmore Hills, and then ventured north to Brookfield where I walked/jogged some of the trails in Gold Creek Reserve. It was then time to pick up the *axe and pick* geoart series in Upper Brookfield and Pullendale, and then another enjoyable walk in Moggill Conservation Park. My remaining time was then utilised to visit Bellbowrie and Moggill for a few last geocaches. A terrific winter blue sky day!

Today West Brisbane time I had few hammer and sickle geoart to find. It was a park and grab day we found quite a few today. Georode thank you for hiding these caches and Kolor for maintaining them for the caching community.

Brislions, GreenGecko 1 & I are out today in the western suburbs to take on some great parkn grabs from this series. Most were very good with coords. The ground is quite wet and a bit of sloshing about was required in some dots to retrieve caches.

26-May-24
Muggle65, Brislions and l decided to grab the roadside caches in this series. M65 and l have only about 5 walking ones left but they were DNFs from earlier walks. We picked a beautiful day to do it! Thank you for a fun cache

The original cache owner didnt end up putting out a bonus cache, so I will remove the Needs Maintenance log. But for interests sake, the bonus clue was U1

A lovely day out with geopup Bella collecting some more of this puzzle series.A quick find here, log signed, cache replaced as found. Thanks georode for the puzzle and cache.

After my Meals on Wheels delivery, I decided to find some more in this series. A puzzle that I could solve!
At gz, home owners from across the road were at their entrance, so found another nearby cache first. Luckily they were gone on my return. Cache found and log signed. Tftc

Another one of these caches solved a while ago. Had a bit of trouble locating this one until I checked the greenery and located the container. Was not tethered so after signing, re attached and covered up with nature's camo.

31/5/2023 Find #6139
SaintsMadHouse and I decided that today we would tackle some caches in this area. We were particularly after some of the Indy Jones series, and decided to throw in caches in the similar vicinity of course. With most of our planned goal achieved, we checked the map and decided to tackle a number of these caches in this section out here.
While I was distracted by the pretty little dam here, SaintsMadHouse began searching. Once I had my photos, I wandered over to look too… just as she made the find.
Thanks for the cache georode.

Found it after scratching around a bit. The clue in the lid is not able to be read.

I’ve been meaning to head out this way to start collecting this series for ages and finally got around to it today. The GPS wanted us 10m away but we followed the hint to a feature that has been overtaken by nature, and soon discovered the cache amongst the tall grass. Thanks georode

27-Apr-23
There is so much grass here that I was glad it was tethered. TFTC

After looking in the wrong spot at first and disturbing a bunch of green ants, our focus moved elsewhere to a more logical spot. Still took and bunch of searching to spot the sneaky bugger…Barb2e and I clearly have a bit of cache blindness here! Thanks for the puzzle and thanks for the cache!

Today we targetted some of these long ago solved puzzles. Found with krcamber. Tftc

With limited time available I thought I’d grab a few more in this never ending piece of Geoart…

At GZ, this was a nice quick find, particularly as it was on the ground…. I returned it to where caches normally sit in these features…

Tftc Georode, these puzzles have been solved for some time now. Thanks lockdown for making us sit around solving them.
Today a drive in this scenic area. Beautiful homes, and nice bushland.

Out and about today to grab a few caches and to continue a new challenge I have set myself. I dropped the girl at school and headed over to Moggill way to grab some caches. I started with a multi cache and then went for a drive to grab an adventure lab, before heading off and looking at some of the hammer and pick series.

After the multi and the adventure lab I went for a drive around the Brookfield area. Such a nice area and very quiet around here today. I continued on and this was an easy find here, the area was very much covered in long grass, all good with this one. I signed the log and put the cache back in its hide. Thank you for the puzzle and the cache hide.

After completing my walk at Gold Creek I went for a drive to add some more of this geoart to my finds.

This posit was discussed last year to consume lockdown, and we had what we assumed was hopefully correct numbers, however we could not get there-checker to agree. A couple of weeks ago at an event run by the same CO, I was able to confirm which number we had wrong. All sorted and so we were able to collect this one today.

As noted in some previous logs, this one appears to be missing. Our photo lined up with GZ, although the area is so overgrown with grass and weeds.
We cleared much of the grass from the guardrail, and even with the torch can confirm it is missing. With the permission of the CO, we have replaced this one with a coloured metal bison in the exact same spot matching the photo in the hint.
Thanks Georode. A lot of work has gone into the creation of this puzzle series and the Geo art.

We couldn’t even get close to this cache because an impenetrable force field of lantana has sprung up to protect it in recent months. All the lantana we had seen this weekend was dead and decaying but this patch seemed to be freshly fertilised. It was too hot to get scratched so we will leave it for another day. Thanks anyway

I had a fantastic day today collecting a bunch of caches that have been on my to-do list for a while, and this was one of them!
Thanks E_smiley, Snickersallan, and TeamDFL for helping make the day so fun!

Keen to finish the Science Geo Art, we're back again. Not even the pouring rain prevented us from the adventure.

TFTC georode. Really enjoyed solving the puzzle and collecting the caches. We were able to collect the clue from this cache.

Cheers, E

Visiting the picturesque Brookfield area with E_Smiley and EatSleepCacheRepeat_ for the second time to complete this beaut geoart series. It was a good team effort including some PAF's to solve all puzzles and most enjoyable finding them together.
Having completed the walking trail section in the morning, a quick lunch break, then finishing off with some good park and grab caches in the light rain.

With a hint from Mrs OC that today was a free day for caching, I decided to head to Brookfield and surrounds to finally tidy up the remaining 7 geoart caches from this series that we first started collecting nearly 18 months ago.

After a fair bit of slogging up and down hills on various tracks today, I was pleased to have an easy park n grab as the final one to collect in this series. It has been very enjoyable experience, adding another FP to the ones I've sprinkled around the series as way of appreciation.

Log signed at 14:09 and cache returned as found. Thanks for the smilie **georode**. This log is trackable.

Sunny with a touch of a breeze and toddled off to the western burbs to do some manual labour with a hammer and pick This series was solved collaboratively and some puzzles took a bit of work before the numbers fell out. The aim of the game today is mostly drivebys and had a fine time herbing along the country roads.

Another puzzling puzzle with a few red herrings in the mix Eventually it all fitted together nicely. Easy find at GZ

A surprise message this morning, from Miss_Direction had us up & primed for an assault on some 'roadside' georode caches from the Hammer & Pick Geo-Art.
After a little recent collaboration we were armed with the full compliment of final coordinates having, AT LAST, put the final puzzle to bed! Smile
Trinity, Jenni, Linda, Dennis & Winter set out for a day of fun & adventure & hopefully a bucketful of smilies too! LOL ...

This puzzle was tossed around quite a bit, chasing leads that led to dead ends before finally coming up with the right numbers.
When I saw the sign re crocodiles I suggested we make this snappy! Smile
A nice quick find by the more agile ladies participating in the hunt today. Smile
Made our mark & replaced as found.

I received a good bit of advice re this puzzling along the way with this one...you can juggle those numbers till they fit...I did this in a half-hearted fashion so gave it another shot. Looking back I can see the sequence, however it was hazy at the time.

Regarding the pick up, we had a very impulsive idea to take a drive this morn, thanks to VC and winter for rising to the occasion. Tftc georode

Like others, I thought this puzzle looked simple but the checker just wouldn't say yes.
After reading a little further, I tried a tweak of one figure and shazam!
Today I journeyed over and didn't feel too bad about not jetskiing this one as I don't think I've ever been up this particular road before - a very attractive setting and no doubt price tags to match on the residences here.
All good here today so TFTC again!

Exhaustion was definitely kicking in at this stage when I jumped out and started searching. I think I was more concerned where my 8-legged friends would be hiding than other places the caches may be. Scratches soon jumped out and grabbed the cache in seconds flat. Just needed to moved the eyes 10cms that way. Cache signed and all replaced it was time to move on. TFTC georode

Oh this puzzle. No matter what I tried I couldn't get a green tick. Asked for a hint, turned out I was on the right path but had just missed one little bit. As for retrieval, Kestal, Eskies5 and I employed our tried and true method on this rainy day of one person get out to look while the others stay dry and if no success, next person gets out. Think there was a severe case of cache-blindness at this one, it has been a long day.

Over 9hrs after leaving home...fatigue setting in and now onto a few geoscience finds... one cache has pretty much blurred into another for me at this point so apologies for the cut n paste logs. TFTC georode.

Thursday. The SPs were out around the Pullenvale area today. Easy to spot where GZ would be and we could see the wee beastie tucked away. Lots of weed growing over the hiding spot but easily retrievable here. Log signed and replaced as found. Today is a good day for caching Smile

This was the 7th of 22 caches found on today's trip.

Thanks ***georode***, for showing us this place. Smile

Day 2 on the Pick and Axe collection. Today we had planned a huge walk but the weather forecast was not nice, so it turned to the day of park and grabs. We had success on all bar one which requires a more detailed look. We also found something that made us grin for an upcoming trip.

Day 2 of the Geoscience pick up trail. Going for all the easy looking grabs today because of the threat of rain. All caches found fairly quickly except one. On to a big walk or two to get the rest!

I thought I knew how to solve this but couldn’t ever get the numbers to fall out. After some detective work, I decided to fire up the jet ski and found it in the third place I looked

Doing an autumn clean out of solved puzzles. Today traveled out west with Gcoven to collect more of the solved pick 'n' hammer GeoArt series. Clever puzzle and as a previous finder mentioned, should have looked at the obvious in the first place after failing with other fanciful techniques which lead no where.

Another good set of coordinates make it a quick drive by and find. Thanks for placing and maintaining this series georode.

I struggled more than I should have, but only because I discounted the obvious after a cursory examination. Eventually I had help from the previous finder to get back on track!
It is amazing how many different ways you can turn things into numbers.
A quick find at GZ. I am worried it is a little exposed to the elements though.

We had the right idea but headed out to run for a FTF before all the info was digested. Although we were beaten at our original target by a few minutes, we were able to score a *FTF* for this one. Not feeling too bad as we were the first to solve and get a green tick, too. Big Grin

I had solved a nearby puzzle and was rushing for the FTF, when I spied a couple of likely hiding spots on the way. Having made the FTF further up the road and with my streak safe for another month, it was time to take the jet sky for a ride.

My geo-senses were on fire today. This was the first likely location. I missed the container on my first pass (a case of making an assumption about the hide). There were a couple of other spots further along, so I headed there, with success. I met up with Ankakeca further down the road at another cache, and told them I had searched here. Some smiles appeared as they told me they had grabbed the FTF here, right where I had been searching. Ohh. So. Close. So I returned and made the find. Many thanks Georode.
