Thanks 999Hunter for being part of our geocaching fun.

You may have waved to passengers, we waved to a car stopped at the shut gates! Walking is much better - it gets you to the cache. Thanks for the fun and the beautifully hidden camouflaged cache.

I had started my day in Berwick to complete the **Trusty Trees** Wherigo... and in so doing, found myself a lot closer to Gembrook than I had expected. Looking for some late lunch, I thought I would continue on to Gembrook and go to the bakery there...

After lunch, it was time to continue caching... the original plan for the day was to take a power trail beside the Monash Freeway but as that was now so far away, I decided that the **Gembrook Cockatoo Trail** would be a far better... and much more pleasant... choice.

From years of being a Guard on Puffing Billy, I had a good idea of what the terrain would be like... so I parked my car at Orchard Road and set off for pleasant stroll towards Gembrook... stopping for each cache as I came to it.

Thanks **999Hunter** for the cache... and the series.

Went out for a walk on the miserable weather day with the wife for her birthday. So thought we would walk from gembrook to cockatoo and grab all the caches along the way. Lucky for the raincoat.

Managed to get them all but 1 which was clearly missing.

Quite a few had wet log books which made stamping them a bit hard.

Some nice hidden ones and some great ideas. Well done.

So finally today was the day I got to walk this trail that's been on my list for a few months. This time around I made sure that my Geo car took me to the right suburb and not to Emerald as it did last week. I wasn't sure what to expect of this walk. But in the end it was a pleasant surprise and well worth it. GPS was sketchy at this first cache. The cache itself wasn't my senses were firing as I stepped up to stamp the log while workers nearby were building new building on the station platform.

*Gembrook Scout Awards Ceremony Adventure #4*
I had an awards ceremony for Scouts Victoria in Gembrook. I don't get to this side of town very often, so *of course* I'm going to pick up a few caches.
I had to stop here for a toilet break - there were hundreds of people at the ceremony, and only a few porta-loos. However, I also had to pull out a bag and do a bit of CITO... I'm guessing the train visitors aren't good at using the bins.
Thanks heaps, 999Hunter!

Took the opportunity to grab this cache whilst we were in the area for the various events over the weekend. Unfortunately, it is too wet to do any more today but we will certainly be back. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.

After a very successful cito, we made our way here for a quick find, just as the heavens opened up.

I am camping out east this weekend to participate in Manfred’s birthday events and then help host the Pizza by the Campfire night. There are plenty of caches and activities on the activity list and this was one of them.

After completing the new adventure lab we swung by here to add a trad to our daily tally. A nice quick find

Thanks 999Hunter for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Deciding mid-morning today to do a cache run after visiting my old man, I thought to myself that spending the afternoon around emerald doing caching would be a great time. With the weather holding off and many of caches found over all it was a great day out.

Thanks for the caches and the lovely day out.

Out and about today just creeping up on my milestone for tomorrow. Thought I'd go for a drive through the foothills and grab a cache here and there before heading back home through some of the burbs.
The bugs are starting to get to this one, needs a dose of pyrethroid termiticide Wink

This was my first walk on this trail, which I thoroughly enjoyed. As I was pressed for time I only found a few of the caches here and knowingly walked straight past quite a few more. I guess I have no choice but to return!

The third and final find of this outing. Nice and easy and satisfying. TFTC Smile

An early start for Spiffy- and I today. We had a couple of ideas and settled on the rail trail near Cockatoo plus a few random. My hands were cold to start with but soon warmed up.

Another quick find. Log book a bit damp.

Thanks to 999Hunter for the placement and fun.

Found at 8:44 am.
Fleabag- needed to head elsewhere this afternoon so we started off the day early on the bikes. It was a bit chilly but I had my keep your hands warm but still able to use the phone gloves on so that worked out well. We headed along the whole trail from Cockatoo to Gembrook and had no DNF's which was great. On the way back we headed to a few off trail ones we had not found yet to complete a lovely morning adventure.
No problems here as we continued our lovely ride. Liking these containers. The final one on the trail, time to head back and get the ones off trail that we missed. Great trail, really enjoyed the ride.
Thanks 999Hunter for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Out for a drive while on our Easter Holidays. We had berm following Puffing Billy along its route, stopping for photos whenever we could. Now we wanted to see it come into the station so to fill in some time before it arrived I was off to find another cache. A quick find here, even though cache was in some clever camo. Thx 999Hunter for the hide, would love to come back and find some more of this series one day!

Out and about with Omegaman1971 on a glorious day. This day I will call 20 to go till 20. It was a nice day along the trail today with plenty of bike riders to contend with.

A kid free, solo day.... the sun is shining and so I find a perfect combination to cache! I only recently discovered this series a few weeks ago when caching nearby with The Welder chasing some unlove on the plantigrade trads. With the kids at school and some free time, this was my chosen destination today. Being midweek, there is barely a soul around. Just a pair of pugs also having an adventure, appearing to have escaped from their yard. But the cache guards didn’t concern me and the hide was quickly located. Thanks for the cache.

BettyBoo3747 and I grabbed the deadly treadlies and set off across the wilds of the eastern suburbs to try the Gembrook Cockatoo Trail (and a few odd caches around the place).
It was raining in these eastern suburbs, but had cleared by the time we started the trail.

There was a railway volunteer greasing the points across the railway line, but he had no interest in us.
Nice hide to finish off this excellent series.
Thanks, Robmc.

#17721. We decided last night to go with Plan A. That is, load up the bikes and head way out east to the Gembrook-Cockatoo Trail for a ride, collect a new AdLab and also a few others on the nearby radar. We had a big breakfast at the Hairy Dog and just as we reached the rail crossing at Cockatoo on our return - Puffing Billy tootled past full of happy faces. A good way to end our ride. A fabulous day out on the trail and the scenery was great.

Rode in here and what a lovely spot it is. There was a man greasing the points so that all would be well when the train arrived a little later in the day. Much earlier we had also spied the fellows on their cart checking that the tracks were clear and safe.

We were well hidden as we found and signed the cache. I just had to ride the rest of the way through here to look at the station before we headed up the street to find a cafe.

Thanks 999Hunter
