Day 4 on our holiday in New Zealand. On the way from Te Anau to Queenstown over Dunedin, we also visited this traditional cache, found it, and signed the logbook.

On our way down to Invercargill for a visit to friends on this beautiful sunny day. Had to stop here to briefly on the way to reduce our layers as it was so hot. Luckily found this cache was just across the road, so MrMagoo72 and I headed over to find it. It was in quite far but managed to reach it to sign the log. TFTC.
Kiwicampnut and I finally managed to coordinate ourselves having been over to the island we are finishing my PWGT5 caches and making good progress on hers.
A revisit. Hadn't noticed the old bridge before, guessing there has been a road realignment.
Thanks for the cache Natalie247

Ruru-NZ and I are on Stewart Island doing the Geotour caches as a priority but any others found are a bonus for me.
Day two of my road trip through Southland. Today's journey takes me from Invercargill back to Mosgiel. My rather indirect route goes by way of Riverton on to Tuatapere then through Winton, Mataura and Balclutha. With a final detour up to Middlemarch. Old School Challenge caches are the focus of the trip, but there's a few others to look for along the way as well.
I enjoyed doing this series. It certainly helped to give the days total a boost. TFTC

Heading back home to Riversdale, hubby and I are really enjoying this wee hunt for geocaches ️
A nice quick find thanks. I completed all of the series today, 25 please Bob caches. (where is I? Hmmm looking back I found it in 2019!!)
Ms_KR and I are on a wee South Island break. A day spent collecting smileys around and about Balclutha. It rained a wee bit about lunchtime, but it was a glorious day for caching!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

After shifting my snail shell to Balclutha, where I have never stayed before in my six years of travelling the country, it is only today that I have managed to get some caching done. To make up for the lack of signed caches I decided to do this series to the South of this burg to get my numbers up. Also it is the start of a new Climb The Peak mountain.
This is another in the series.
Cheers for the cache.

It is strongly recommend that whilst we go for a walk for exercise, we need to take care on shared surfaces and geocaching should not be done at this time; https://wiki.groundspeak.com/display/GEO/New+Zealand
To remove temptation, I am disabling this cache and ask kindly that you do not find this cache during lockdown.
Remember there is more than physically finding a cache, there are plenty of puzzle caches you can do at home. Or if you live near a multi you can walk the trail and save the find for another day. For more info or connect with wider community see Geocaching New Zealand on Facebook.

Friday 13. Balcultha to Gore and back. Another long day with Gore on the agenda. But got sidetracked with back to basics with the ABC series. So lets hit the road!
Toby, Zara and I are on a 3 week geo adventure of Cromwell, Southland, Catlins, Balclutha with a day in Dunedin and quick stop in Timaru. With Lenny, my trusty navigator and TBD my companion/mascot. we managed to visit lots of green boxes, now happy faces with the odd sad one. Did some LABs , earth caches, virtuals and wherigos, all chucked into the mix to rack up 500 odd caches. Lots of kilometers, lots of exploring and lots of fun. Thanks to all COs for our wonderful experience.

I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #528.
What a great place to stop when feeling car sick - thanks for the cache, it was in great condition

Enough time to stop and pick up a few of Natalie's Bob series will be back for more for sure!.. a familiar name in this description tftc
On a geocaching adventure around the country with myself, my car and my tent. Drove almost 4000km and collected 170 caches over a week of roadtripping, camping and seeing the beautiful sights of New Zealand. Lots of fun and so many great caches were found, as well as a lot of DNF's. Apologies for copy paste post. Thank you to all cache owners. Day six driving from Te Anau to Dunedin. Thank you for the cache
kids were looking for a couple of minutes, I walked up and a couple of seconds it was in my hands TFTC, no 17 in the series
I decided to tackle this series today - having decided a couple of weeks ago I was rather annoyed when I suffered an accident yesterday which hampered my efforts a little. Nevertheless, I managed all twenty-six today!
There was enough traffic to make me think twice about this one... but the second thought agreed with the first thought and I went for it. I ended up pretty swiftly getting the win. Cheers!

A quick park and grab while out about grabbing a few caches down this way. A nice and easy find and on to the next one. TFTC
Thanks have just driven round the loop to collect cache A to cache V but not actually in alphabetical order and not all the letters on that road. So back towards Dunedin a couple of kilometres to pick the five cache up this road.
Had to pull to the wrong side of the road before the corner as in my rear view mirror I saw one truck over taking another so I just got out of the way.

Whoo hoo, this series is done! That's Natalie for a great day out and another 26 towards the world turtle. Pretty sure I now have the dragon (but could be wrong) as we got a few non Bob caches as we went along today. Maybe a few more on the way home.
Was chauffeured by Saethwr modt of the way as she gets some more driving experience.
Thanks for the smilie Natalie247.

Having a day out and picnic in the clutha area. Enjoying the winter sunshine. Again going to places never visited before. Thanks to all cache owners.
Dakotacats and I decided to make a full day of caching in the area and one of our main targets was this A - Z series. We found all caches in this series and enjoyed the different roads and scenery along the way. TFTC
4Clubs and I spent an enjoyable day caching in the area. We found all 26 of the Blockbuster series, and we travelled on roads we have never travelled on before. Thanks for putting this series out Natalie, we had fun.
Down South for a geocaching day trip with the main intention being A - Z please Bob. Started this series with A but then all order was lost! A fun series which was very much enjoyed. TFTC Natalie247 and the time and effort for this series which many of us feature in
Haven't been on a caching "dawn raid" for ages! Set off before sun-up to clean up the Blockbuster A-Z series. Early on Easter Monday proved an excellent time to do so as, away from SH1, there was just nobody around. On way home the traffic was heavy heading south out of Dunedin. Apparently some second-rate musician had done a few concerts over the weekend in town, which generated a few visitors. All 26 A-Z caches found, plus another at Kaihiku Falls. All the side-roads were pretty much new to me so that was a bonus. Apologies to the CO for the generic cut and paste logs for most of the series but when you're "speed-caching" the whole thing becomes a bit of a blur. Thoroughly enjoyable outing. TFTC.
Just realised have not put coords in GPS for the next few, so taking more time on this section. Rain coming. Tftc
Full log to come. Parked on main rd. Although there was an access rd handy. Bag was ok.
Coming home from being on business. Thought be a great chance to get these new caches, TFTC.
On our trip from Dunedin to Te Anau we had a lot of stops and found this cache. TFTC!
Enjoying driving out and about in the countryside picking up the caches in this series thanks Natalie. Nice quick find here. TFTC # 12,020
Another stop, another satisfying find, really enjoying being passenger and taking in the countryside.
