Suspected this one would still be there and it was. Have removed the bison, and if the CO would like it back just let me know. Great puzzle, solved ages ago. ??

Time for this one to go. The area has changed a lot since original placement, with significant gardening works in the few months to go with the changes from a few years ago. As such, this probably isn't a great location for a cache anymore.

31-May-24
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. This cache appears to have been replaced but is no longer at the original coordinates. Please amend listing and/or fix the hint.I noticed that this cache has been unavailable for an extended period of time without maintenance occuring as set out in the cache guidelines published on Geocaching.com. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other caches from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it (using the archive listing link in the upper right) so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.I am temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a reviewer note to the cache (not email) within the next 28 days detailing when it will be replaced, so I don't archive the listing for non-communication. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a reviewer note every month (28 Days) to keep everyone up to date.If you require more time please be sure to post a note (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date or the cache will be treated as an abandoned cache and archived without further notice

Looked for a few minutes, but the area is overgrown and Im not a fan of trampling gardens. Concerning that the coords are out and the hint is wrong as per a previous finder.

Thanks for such a fun puzzle. Took us a while to find it once at GZ due to regular muggle interruptions, but eventually got the log signed and cache returned!

23-Jan-24
Just FYI, when I found the replacement, it was no longer at the base, hint needs updating.

23-Jan-24
Solved this puzzle recently and went to GZ on the way to work this morning but it was muggle central with streams of walkers/cyclists/mums with prams travelling nearby so I couldnt stay and have a proper look. There are also many houses that overlook GZ and looking at the recent history in the logs, decided to reach out to OG for a hint. Im glad I did as I ended up making the find which didnt match the hint and was several metres away from where my phone was leading me. It was a great hide and Im not sure I wouldve been comfortable staying and extending my search for a prelonged period in this area and potentially compromise the cache location. Thanks so much for OG for your help.TFTP!! I really enjoyed this one!

second time here. Quite overgrown now.

This is officially a nemesis of mine. The nearby roadworks didn't conflict with the cache location so I was free to search but still turned up nothing.

24-Sep-23
I feel like I should have found this. Location seems an obvious spot; clue seems to provide a clue; but lots of foraging and I just couldn't find it. Hope it's not missing...

01-Aug-23
I had another go while in the area but unfortunately after a big search I came up empty again.

I shall return!

06-Jun-23
I was able to get most of these, but needed a final push to get the last couple. Tonight after tennis I headed down here to see if I could find this one. I had researched it earlier in the day and had a keen idea on where it would be. I looked in the right location, but as it is so well obscured, it still took a moment to spot it. Cache in good condition, nice new book. The rubber ring has failed on the big b, but I tightened it up and given its location it should survive quite well.

Thanks for the cache Walrusix the Gaul. Nice work here, and thanks for keeping this one going for us all to enjoy. Find #8648 at 9.48pm

Had a search around but persistent muggle action and nothing after 5 minutes meant I had to call it

Tried one cache today, and found it.
I tried this puzzle last week, and it seems the difficulty level was right for me. It did not take me too long to solve the puzzle.
Today, as I was in that area, I tried to find this cache.
At GZ, I searched here and there, but found nothing match the hint.
Before I gave up, I found the cache. That was unexpected.
Good-sized container. It's in good condition. Signed the log, and placed it back.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache, Walrusix the Gaul.

Was doing a few errands in the city and suburbs this morning and was passing by. I'd been here before in search of the cache, unsuccessfully of course. Found relatively quickly today, this time after ignoring the clue. Thanks for the puzzle and cache RideTheGeoWalrus!

Out this morning to find a few caches in the Shepherds Hill Recreation Park and Watiparinga Reserve areas.

As I headed back home, I stopped to do a couple of Multis and find some other Mystery caches that I had previously solved.

I had been waiting for this cache to be replaced for some time. And today I noticed that it was back on line as I was passing nearby, so I made the slight detour to GZ.

Thanks RideTheGeoWalrus for the puzzle and the cache.

Replacement cache in place.

12-Oct-20
Replacement cache in place. This is now a large bison.

19-Jul-20
I went to replace this on Friday night, only to find that the natural camo that previously existed here, is no longer. A large section of GZ is being cleaned up and worked on, and I'll have to re-think how this one is going to be able to go forward.

08-May-20
Sounds like this one is missing, so I'll organise a replacement. It won't be themed, as I've run out of figurines, but the cache can live on.

01-Aug-19
Took a bit of effort to get this one sorted. Starting centrally I was heading in the wrong direction until a sideways step sorted out my issue with some confirmation from Friendix.
I remember growing up and regularly borrowing Asterix from the library. It always seemed to be the best option when we had to grab a book at school.Smile
GZ is a spot I often travel past, so it was a quick stop and grab today - although the cache was inundated by hyrdorix and the logbook was soggix - I did the best I could adding my scrawl.
Cache was quite exposed, but is now covered a little.

Tricky tricky or easy all up to you?
Cache seems find but had water in in, lures it out.

A big day out today with a total of 47 finds, all found all over the place, from Brighton in Adelaide to blanchetown through the Barossa and the back roads. Not the best day to cache with continual rain though.

Thanks for the cache

We had solved this puzzle over twelve months ago but when we came to look for it in the middle of last year, we could not located the cache. It was confirmed that the cache was missing. When it had been replaced, we put the cache back on our list for this trip. Today accurate coordinates and a very exposed and open cache led to a quick find. Unfortunately the cache lid was off the container and the logbook was a little damp. The good aspects were that all the components of the cache were there (and we were able to reassemble the cache and rehide) and the logbook is still usable. Thanks Walrusix the Gaul for the puzzle and hide.

This puzzle was nice and logical, and a had a bit of trouble with a few of them, however managed to get all numbers in the end. A nice logical puzzle, so thanks!

I cycled my bike and decided to make this a target cache for today. I had previous DNF here, but with the CO's replacement, I managed to make the find within a few minutes unlike last time's extensive searching. I grabbed the three TBs to move on, thanks Walrusix!

From previous logs, we were expecting this to be an easy drive by. However we searched extensively around this tree area, and alas no luck. Will watch this cache to see if we were just cache blind at night, or potentially missing.

With a small nudge from a friendly cacher on 27/3/18, I was left with 75% of the puzzle to solve. Got home today (28/3/18) after work and got cracking on it. "Ah not so difficult.... hang on, that ain't right [B)] It's most definitely not hidden there" [:o] Re check my solution, a head slap moment d-uh! [:o)], then onto a better result which had the checker smiling [^] After work today, Wed. 28 March, 2018 at 16:50, i was signing the log. Left 2 craft pegs for the small plastic cat Wink

At school (Gawler High School, 1981), I would do my homework during lunchtime in the library and always find time to read the Asterix comics they had there. This Mystery Cache brought back fond memories of those days [^] TFTC RideTheGeoWalrus Smile

Brad has been an asterix fan since he was a child. He has all of the books in English and quite a few in French too. Where the players names are different but no less entertaining!

Owl had a day of errands and appointments around the city, so got the opportunity to find some caches in-between. That gave Owl the opportunity to find this fun little puzzle. A shame someone has used the area for activities unworthy of a Gaul, but Owl enjoyed herself all the same.

What a great day/night adventure. Left home at 3.30 p.m and got back home at 5.00 a.m. the next day.Surprised In between visited a plethora of caches, an event and watched a total eclipse. Certainly a once in a blue moon adventure. Wink Oh yeah, there was one of them too. [:o)]
The first part started with me picking up Anymules after work and caching our way out to pick up Mrs. SA Sewer Rats. [8)] That done we cached our way to pick up Black Adders. Now it was time to cache our way to the event. Razz For most people that would have been a great night's caching. Luckily we weren't most people and so we set off from the event in search of more caches. [:X]
Solved as part of the Puzzled Puzzlers. The Mule of course had already picked it up on one of his many 'on the way home' escapades that in reality turn short commutes to Burke and Wills adventures. Time for the rest of the group to catch up. A quick find was made. Smile I then drove by the dog park for the umpteenth time without stopping. Despite being 11.30 p.m. there were people using it. [:(!]

**Thanks RideTheGeoWalrus for this cache. ** Big Grin

Funny to read all the English names as I grew up with the Dutch names and some of the French names.

General concensus of solvers it the D rating was low, so I have added a half a star.

I too had read (and watched) many of these in my younger days. So I knew roughly where to start. I made it a lot more difficult than it needed to be by doing the puzzle entirely in French. With a few little twists the numbers came out (I think it deserves another half a star). A FP for bringing back some fond memories and laughs at some of the names.
