Lonely pine appears to have been buried under road construction material. Impossible to find cache
There has been some new work done at gz. It was all dug up. I did go over to the only pine tree there and looked all over but dnf. The cops came pass again and I was like oh great not again but of course these were different cops them from the ones on the cache I found 40km ago. But they just drove on.
Found 17/27 so far today another (2) work trip from grafton-mount Tamborine. 6/11 out of the 17/27 were Clearance way series caches.

TFTC. We are camped at Kyogle Showgrounds with our motorhome group for a birthday get together. We spotted this series along Collins Creek Road. With a couple of hours to spare this morning we headed out to explore this area. My first job in Melbourne was on Collins Street and we know the CO as well so it seemed appropriate to do this small series. We did not have any issues finding the caches although a couple of logs had got a bit wet.
After gathering the fergs over the weekend away the fab five enjoyed hunting a few trads puzzles Wherigo and multis to add to the collection. Some fab pub times , lots of laughs. My favourites of course were the cemetery caches!!! Tftc
Tricky getting parking here as the prime spot was a massive wet bog where it looks like someone had gotten stuck recently. Still we managed to get our little convey of cars in here.
Tracking ok for time to get back to Brisbane. Shame the wheels fell off this prediction just down the road. But that is in the future. Headed toward the tree and noted two stoppers. The first was bobby ground that would get my thongs muddy. The second and the more serious threat was a wasp nest. Luckily the cache was on the other side of the pine. Thanks for the hide RoddyC.
There is a baby pine growing not too far away, so maybe not so lonely anymore! TFTC.
Quick find here and the GPS wasn’t even needed! Love when that happens TFTC
Heading out to Kyogle today, as we are travelling this way with the caravan, and luckilymwe did, as there was not always enough room to get off the road.

We left the caravan at Rathdowney and took Running creek road heading south. Our aim was to collect caches and enjoy the drive and scenery. We haven't been this way before. This was one of the caches we targetted and found. The green of the countryside was so beautiful and the creeks running were so pretty and clear. The high grass caused us some grief when searching and a bit of time was attributed to removing cobbler pegs, pesky things that they are. We didn't realize we'd get as far as Kyogle but as we followed the caches we found ourselves getting closer. Went to town for a late lunch, fuel top up and purchased some lovely fresh fruit and veg from the fuel outlet. Thanks for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area. Got this one and contemplated the earth cache.

For the month prior to my visit to Australia, I spent some time trying to solve some mystery caches around the Brisbane area. At one point I had to contact RoddyC for a question one one of his caches. We got chatting and he kindly invited me to join him on a maintenance run which we did today. This led to my most productive day caching so far.
We found this one easily and then began to work on the earth cache. Tftc and UTV

On our way north we took this road and tackled the caches along it.
With us here the pine was lonely no more.
Good thing we had the Bedmobile, parking nearby was definitely 4x4 only at the time.

Out with Sezzag and our tribe after a bbq lunch in town we headed out for the local caches TFTC
Seriously dodgy parking on the bend with 2 wheels still on the tar. Car was on a slope that made it hard to get the drivers door opened. Fortunately this is a fairly quiet road and the cache was found easily.

Out today, trying to obtain all these clues for the ‘summer’ promo....
I’m now trying to gain all the last 35 caches, which is harder due to the distance I have cleared.
Quick find after the Earthcache
Cheers

Wayn0 and I came out this way to find the EC and Mystery. We actually drove off before realising we missed the traditional one here. Turned around and came back for it. hahaha.
I actually didn't realise there was an EC here till Wayn0 pointed it out, as it was hidden under the traditional icon in the GC app map.

On a drizzly cool day I decided it was time to take a trip up Collins Creek and grab a few caches. I found this one nice and easily. Great cache! Thanks RoddyC!
Checked out our Northern NSW placements over this weekend. Happy to say most were in very good order - thank you fellow geocachers!
Out today on a weekend caching run in the area with RoddyC, Hatzofff & Snickersallan. Stopped here to find this cache. SL then returned as found.

Travelling around this lovely countryside with geo friends and enjoying seeing the local history. This pine tree certainly stands out amongst some unusual colourful land formations, quick find due to top hint.

Lonely pine in a disused quarry or most probably just a road cutting that someone decided to use for gathering other things. Thanks RoddyC
Found the lonely pine but too wet and soggy and persistently raining to look enough to find the cache today
Thanks this was the last for the day. There is one DNF and one with workers to come back for
We decided to make a day trip to Kyogle to try to achieve the “In September, you might be an Adrenaline Junkie if…” souvenir. This was our last cache for the day as the kids were getting restless. Back in to town for lunch and hopefully we will be back for the rest soon. TFTC and for the day out RoddyC
Out and about collecting some caches to complete the Hidden Creatures Souvenirs.
Quick trip to town to grab a few things late in the day so grabbed a few caches along to make sure we got the last souvenir.

What a Sunday drive a round trip, nice to get away from the towns & get out on the country roads.
While hubby went to search for this cache I collected information foe the nearby EC.
A nice trail on Collins Creek Road.

A few days around Kyogle district looking for caches. Always enjoy doing caches in the countryside compared to suburbia. Doing the caches along Collins Roads and nearby was most enjoyable bring us (that being cachers) to roads we would probably not decide to travel along. Thank you for placing these caches. TFTC Mr and Mrs RoddyC
Having a caching day along the roads just north of Kyogle - the cache placements certainly took us along roads less travelled and some amazing views were discovered.
They do seem somewhat lonely - but take care with the uneven ground. Thanks.

I am still on my way home from the OZ Geomuster Mega event held at Morisset over the Easter week-end.
I arrived in Kyogle mid morning after staying the night about 30km and started finding all of these new caches up in the hills. I ended up finding them all, which makes for a good day. [^] The Lancer did good.
A short search before I found this one nicely tucked away. [^]
Thanks for the cache.

Hey,check out Griffo's and waldenclans logs,I think they're picking on me,but thats okay I can handle it,GZ was only one place,so on to the next.TFTC.
Looming in the distance on the drive to GZ were a number of somewhat lonely pines, ostracised from their neighbours, but the eventual loneliest pine was obviously a pariah and banished from where I had been expecting. While Dez took care of the duties here I made use of the time to get a head start on the nearby earth cache. TFTC
After an Australia Day event at Sheepstation Creek this morning with JeznDez and SeffnJarah, we completed a loop collecting these new caches. Cache location was spotted a kilometre or two away. Nice quick find.
Many thanks RoddyC

Fancy grabbing a ftf from under Fergclans nose. I was heading to Kyogle on a Saturday afternoon for work when this popped up. 3 hours later I was signing the log.
Pity the Earthcache hasn't been published yet.
Thanks

Out exploring the area with Mr and Mrs RoddyC. I spotted the lonly pine and pulled up the geomobile. A bit of exploring and it was decided that they would hide a cache in this interesting spot. They allowed me to sign the log (but not claiming first to find) before we continued on our way. TFTC
