Found and answers sent not the greatest at describing was an interesting site enjoyed the trip down collins. TFTC
Visited this cache a while ago and now I've sent off my answers to CO. I can log this one as I have my reply. The area around these parts always appear beautiful. TFTC
The road here is shocking, so many potholes. I gave up with 7kms still to drive. What a shame.
TFTC. We are in Kyogle for an annual motorhome chapter get together. Managed to get out to do a trail of RoddyC caches along Collins Creek Road. The weather had been a bit damp but the gravel bits were in good nick. Stopped here to explore . Gathered some information and after a bit of research submitted our answers to the CO.
After gathering the fergs over the weekend away the fab five enjoyed hunting a few trads puzzles Wherigo and multis to add to the collection. Some fab pub times , lots of laughs. My favourites of course were the cemetery caches!!! Tftc
This was on Ardoms list of todo’s I couldn’t even see it on my map as it was cleverly hiding behind the trad . What a beaut little spot. Answers and pic sent.
For anyone standing on top of the hill / quarry, it would have looked strange 5 people debating the different rock layers. It actually resembled a chocolate layer cake I'd like for my up coming birthday.
So with a search of the area, we came to a consensus that none of us have any geological nous between us. So we agreed on a set of answers to sway RoddyC with a majority. Lets hope that works. Thanks RoddyC for setting up this earthcache. Answers forwarded for confirmation.

I found this cache on a target list I made so long ago that I don't know what I was targeting! Still, a nice drive to collect. TFTC!
Heading back home after a weekend across the border. This cache was a target for the trip back, but all caches along here were great.
This was quite an amazing sight once I really looked.. the earth is an amazing place

Even got our hands dirty. Colours were prominent because of the rain. Answers sent to co. Thanks RoddyC and fav point.

So beautiful scenery drive and weather was perfect THanks to Roddy C Hatzoff and Grannysmith1947. I enjoyed day with them
Well... for my third cache attempt this one was a doozy! Was not quite sure how to process this one but I think I got it in the end... just make sure you have sturdy boots and long pants as the long dry grasses shoukd be avoided in the hot summery days (watch out for ol' Jake the snake!)
For the month prior to my visit to Australia, I spent some time trying to solve some mystery caches around the Brisbane area. At one point I had to contact RoddyC for a question one one of his caches. We got chatting and he kindly invited me to join him on a maintenance run which we did today. This led to my most productive day caching so far.
We explored these levels and examined the rock. I've sent my answers. Tftc and UTV

While doing another nearby cache in the series along here we stopped and had a go at this Earthcache. There was a lot of tall grass we had to walk through before we could climb up and get hands on looking at the rocks so we could answer the questions.
All was done and we have sent the answers off to the CO. It was a nice drive out this way today.
TFTC and for taking the time to set it up.

Out today, trying to obtain all these clues for the ‘summer’ promo....
I’m now trying to gain all the last 35 caches, which is harder due to the distance I have cleared.
Unexpected Earthcache here, and good to see the layering.
Cheers

Out geocaching with No_Tomorrow and having a great day. Another Earthcache by RoddyC. Thanks for creating. There were some very curious cows watching up explore GZ.

Wayn0 and I came out this way to find the EC and Mystery. We actually drove off before realising we missed the traditional one here. Turned around and came back for it. hahaha.
I actually didn't realise there was an EC here till Wayn0 pointed it out, as it was hidden under the traditional icon in the GC app map.
This was actually fun climbing around and playing with the rocks and mud. Luckily I had something to wipe my hands clean with in the car. haha. Answers being sent shortly. I loved the middle layer.

#4000 find
Visited this location while on a weekend caching trip around the area with Snickersallan, Hatzofff and RoddyC.
It was an interesting site and we discussed the different colours and layers and how they were formed. Answers sent to CO.
Thanks for bringing us here and opening our eyes to what lies under our feet.
A favourite point from me.

Day 2 of driving around this beautiful NSW countryside with geo friends and this being my 10,000th find.
The site here is remarkable to see from out of nowhere appears this three layered colourful section of land. Had a slight scramble up to have a good inspection of each level and to get a better understanding of the types of rocks.
Answers messaged to CO as requested.

Found after visiting the lonely pine. I'm sending my answers after all my logging for the day. It was so very hot here today but I dutifully climbed the small hill. So easy compared to the last earth cache that I did in Currumbin Valley. Thanks RoddyC
We were out and aboiut on a Sunday drive and I knew we had this one nearby to pick up.
very quiet out here today. Got all the nessesary info and headed off for more finds. Answers sent to CO
Thanks RoddyC for the Earthcache,

Thanks RoddyC for the Earthcache,
I was here on the 26/9 and sent the answers on the 27/9. I am waiting for Roddy C to reply, so I am entering this as a find on the 1/10. Hopefully Roddy C will be happy with the answers for this to be kept as a log. I did not climb around the embankment I only made my observations from the GZ. I believe Roddy C would probably be busy chasing the caches around Barcaldine.
We decided to make a day trip to Kyogle to try to achieve the “In September, you might be an Adrenaline Junkie if…” souvenir. We struggled with this EarthCache but enjoyed the lesson. I never would have given this location a second thought if it wasn’t for this EarthCache. TFTEC
I stopped by here to collect the traditional cache and grab the required information and photos for this earth cache.
I have driven past here many times over the 10 years the parents have lived in the area but never noticed the difference in the levels before.
Thanks for pointing it out.
It's not advisable to try climbing up in thongs.

I'm cheekily logging this find because of the Turtle challenge that finishes tonight so that it is logged before midnight. Sorry to do that before we've received approval of our answers.
We have sent them already to the CO and hope they are satisfactory. Indeed I think we would not have paid attention to the three different layers here if not for the earthcache and we are always happy to learn.
Thanks to the RoddyC's we've learned something here today while out on this magnificent country drive.
I don't think we were supposed to find the background image on the cache page but it is very interesting.
Cheers and happy caching!

While out on the Collins Creek Road we stopped to find a traditional cache & collect the information for the EC.
If this featured had not been pointed out it would be easy just to drive by. The 3 colours were all quiet prominent.
My friend google helped with my answers.
Thanks RoddyC for placing this EC

It is amazing some of the geology that can be seen when driving these country roads. Thanks for this earthcache RoddyC.
I am still on my way home from the OZ Geomuster Mega event that was held at Morisset over the Easter weekend.
After discovering I had a few extra days to get home I detoured over towards Kyogle to find all of these new caches along these back roads.
Thanks for bringing me to this location.

Managed to grab the answers to this earthcache in the rain. Made the scramble to the top slightly more interesting.

Lots of colour on display here, which definitely warranted a closer inspection to be able to answer the earth cache. Up we headed to higher ground to gather the required information. As we colated our answers we were wondering where the third layer was, until we noticed what we had missed back down the bottom. With a consensus reached it was time to head back to the car and continue the journey. TFTC
Apparently counting to three is hard... with some debate going between us about what constituted the three layers; once we stood back and took in the site as a whole it became glaringly obvious! We'd parked a bit further back along the road and gone powering straight up the slopes as instructed, and accordingly missed the base layer. Duh!

After an Australia Day event at Sheepstation Creek this morning with JeznDez and SeffnJarah, we completed a loop collecting these new caches including this earthcache. I was glad of the opportunity to get out of the car and climb up the different coloured layers to the top. Managed not to do a 'Fungus' on the particularly slippery mid layer on the way down.
CO has been messaged with answers. Many thanks RoddyC

FTF! A quick diversion from Kyogle this afternoon to check out this new earthcache. Interesting to see the three distinct layers in such a small area. Thanks for showing us this place. Answers sent. TFTEC!

Out exploring the area with Mr and Mrs RoddyC. I stopped the geomobile and we all jumped out to explore this interesting spot. How unusual. Mr RoddyC gave me a bit of a geology lesson. How interesting this spot is. Thanks for placing this earthcache here.
