Had some free time today, so ventured down towards Kyogle for a spot of caching with Wolffman05. Arrived at the GZ and commenced my search but no joy for me today. Hopefully its just a case of cache blindness. Next time Im in the area, Ill have another go and hopefully turn this DNF into a ??.
There have been improvements in this area, I don't know if this has interfered with the geocache. Also, part of nearby sign is missing, the part telling you what road this is. tftc
With Geo family visiting I decided I wanted to check out Casino and Kyogle so a route was set and off we went.absolutely great day for caching as it was overcast and sometimes drizzling. We just came across the dirt road due to Kyogle Rd being closed for repairs Got my new car dirtyWhat a great idea for Collins' on Collins Caches there were cute cows in the paddock watching our every mooooove but they kept mum and didnt let us know where to look. All around was wet and soggy so had to be careful where we stepped.no luck this time
Family day packed with fun finds and lots of laughs. Unfortunately a dnf for us here.
While staying in Casino for a few days with my geodog Scruffy , we just had to get out and find a few caches in the area and surrounding towns ...All Good .. TFTC ..
Out caching with RoddyC , Hatzofff and Echocage1.
RoddyC had to do a maintenance run and the rest of us had caches to find. Quick find, seen on approach from a distance and log signed before replacing as found. Great scenery around this area. TFTC

Some cute calf’s came up to the fence but ran off when I approached them then when I went to the cache he walk up to the fence and started mooing at me. I have replaced the log and new bag for now.
Find 18/26 so far today another (2) work trip from grafton-mount Tamborine. 6/11 out of the 18/26 were Clearance way series caches.

Container was full of water. Log was too wet to write on but should dry out ok. Left the tin upside down on the post so no more water can get in and maybe it will dry out for the next to find it
Great coords however log in very poor condition. We couldn't write on it as it was saturated. Tftc
TFTC. We are camped at Kyogle Showgrounds with our motorhome group for a birthday get together. We spotted this series along Collins Creek Road. With a couple of hours to spare this morning we headed out to explore this area. My first job in Melbourne was on Collins Street and we know the CO as well so it seemed appropriate to do this small series. We did not have any issues finding the caches although a couple of logs had got a bit wet.
After gathering the fergs over the weekend away the fab five enjoyed hunting a few trads puzzles Wherigo and multis to add to the collection. Some fab pub times , lots of laughs. My favourites of course were the cemetery caches!!! Tftc
I was pleased to see the sealed road here and thought it would be an end to the potholes - nope! A good retrieval here by ESCR as she manoeuvred her way around the big water puddles.
There was a huge puddle between the road and the hiding place. A few of us called stumps, not wanting to tempt whatever bunyip may be residing in that water hole. Even cranking up the nearby ride on mower looked tempting to plow through the water trap, however Ardom wanted to claim squatters rights and tow it home.
ESCR took the initiative and the dry link straight to the cache. Which just shows there is more than one way to skin a cache. Thanks RoddyC for getting our little group to think laterally.

A million ants! Cleaned out as best we could. TFTC. Signed as the Fab5
There was an abandoned ride on lawnmower nearby. I had two issues - 1) I don't know how this would get on my roofracks, and 2) I don't have big enough lawn to justify one! TFTC.
Heading out to Kyogle today, as we are travelling this way with the caravan, and luckilymwe did, as there was not always enough room to get off the road.

I didn’t find it. I don’t think its there anymore because i drive by this place every day and have had a look nearly every time and i have never found it
For the month prior to my visit to Australia, I spent some time trying to solve some mystery caches around the Brisbane area. At one point I had to contact RoddyC for a question one one of his caches. We got chatting and he kindly invited me to join him on a maintenance run which we did today. This led to my most productive day caching so far.
I found this cache lying on the floor and missing a vital component so it was replaced. Tftc and UTV

On our way north we took this road and tackled the caches along it.
This one was a quick easy pick up for us.

Out today, trying to obtain all these clues for the ‘summer’ promo....
I’m now trying to gain all the last 35 caches, which is harder due to the distance I have cleared.
I had to put my hand inside the boundary fence for this one...
Cheers

Checked out our Northern NSW placements over this weekend. Happy to say most were in very good order - thank you fellow geocachers!
Out today on a weekend caching run in the area with RoddyC, Hatzofff & Snickersallan. Stopped here to find this cache. SL then returned as found.

There was actually quite a lot of traffic today for such a back road area. Quick find.
Easy find and the grass has been mowed so no fear of snakes or ticks or spiders or other grass dwelling creepy things
A quick find after dodging the puddles getting from the road to the GZ. this a big change from Barcy where there was no rain for several months. TFTC.
We decided to make a day trip to Kyogle to try to achieve the “In September, you might be an Adrenaline Junkie if…” souvenir. A quick find and on to the next one. TFTC
Lots of new roads and fences on this road since I was out here last. Used to live only about 1km from this cache, on the other side of Fawcett's Creek. I remember swimming in the creek and finding a stash of Army paraphernalia that must have washed downstream. Great view of the Helmet Range from GZ too. Thanks for the cache, RoddyC!
Quick trip to town to grab a few things late in the day so grabbed a few caches along to make sure we got the last souvenir.

What a Sunday drive a round trip, nice to get away from the towns & get out on the country roads.
A nice trail on Collins Creek Road.

Last cache on collins for us today, as we veered away and over. Thanks roddyc for a bit of light entertainment highlighting some beautiful countryside. Found before one in the pm.
A few days around Kyogle district looking for caches. Always enjoy doing caches in the countryside compared to suburbia. Doing the caches along Collins Roads and nearby was most enjoyable bring us (that being cachers) to roads we would probably not decide to travel along. Thank you for placing these caches. TFTC Mr and Mrs RoddyC
Having a caching day along the roads just north of Kyogle - the cache placements certainly took us along roads less travelled and some amazing views were discovered.
Felt like it should be Tims and Tams on Collins! Thanks RoddyC.

I am still on my way home from the OZ Geomuster Mega event held at Morisset over the Easter week-end.
I arrived in Kyogle mid morning after staying the night about 30km and started finding all of these new caches up in the hills. I ended up finding them all, which makes for a good day. [^] The Lancer did good.
A short search before I found this one nicely tucked away. [^]
Thanks for the cache.

Had to tiptoe very carefully due to the recent deluge.

With the rising temperature we decided to base ourselves at the Casino RV Base (which is quite similar to where to live). This is a great base and we headed to town and out Kyogle way today. Lovely scenery and we do like the roads less travelled. This was one of the caches we targeted and found. Nicely done. Thankyou RoddyC for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area

Spent the afternoon out and about with Stortigirls and Selva Girls collecting some smilies in this lovely area . TFTC Mr& mrs RoddyC
Mr & Mrs Curious Quest were out with our tourguide Selva Girls this afternoon, collecting some smilies on these new caches after attending the nearby Event. This was our last find for the evening, as the light was fading, and so were our choices for dinner in nearby Kyogle. A quick find as we added our names to the log. Tftc Mr & Mrs RoddyC
Onwards along Collins Creek Road we headed to our next destination, taking bets on what we thought the relevance of the name would have to its location. As usual the house won, with three wrong answers provided. But I did accept another bet, just how close I could get to GZ to make this a park and grab. Happy to say mission accomplished, with the cache signed and replaced from the comfort of the car. TFTC
Between here and the previous cache we were busily engaged in wild conjecture as to Tim's identity. At GZ, none-the-wiser, but with a bit of clever maneuvering, seffnjarah turned this T2 into a seated, air-conditioned park 'n' grab.
Once CrookedPete and I had recovered from our hysterical laughter (which was causing CP's boot camp-induced sore muscles to complain) we gave Seff a well deserved round of applause. TFTC.

After an Australia Day event at Sheepstation Creek this morning with JeznDez and SeffnJarah, we completed a loop collecting these new caches. Having taken the time to make this a true "park and grab", Seff did the honours without ever leaving his car seat! Lots of laughs...
Many thanks RoddyC

Co-ords good. Our car GPS and the road sign didn’t agree as to the name of the lane but there was no confusion once at GZ. Cache found and gladly the log was signed before being replaced as found.
