Out in the area grabbing a few caches on a drizzly morning. Followed the hint straight to the cache. An interesting spot that's for sure, I wonder why it's here.
Very clever spot. I liked this find. On the way I spotted some prickly pears. Now I am more aware I will not touch one again (without gloves) It's not the big spikes yu have to worry about!
I found this cache today on my Mega Geocaching Walk #13 - a 30,000 step walk from Epping Station, winding my way up to Wollert and back down the other way to Epping Station once again. This was an odd little spot but I liked the feel of the small view that this vantage offered. Thanks from D B-A
After finalizing a few caches in the area I stopped off to grab this one. A very SideTracked themed cache.
After considering my options I soon had the cache in hand. All quiet in the path here today.
Thanks VK3TV for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Haven't read the description properly at first. Then switched my geosenses on and found the cache in no time!
*Found on the 10 Jan 2023 @ 11:57 am.*
*Cache find # 13973.*
I was needing a few more finds in the Whittlesea LGA to try and qualify For one of the Mega challenges so I decided to head back over this way and go for a ride along some of the trails.
I stopped by this one on my travels and was able to find it, the log was signed and I was on my way to the next one.
**Thanks to VK3TV for placing this cache.**

I had been over in this corner of Melbourne successfully chasing the final of a Wherigo and was now starting to make my way home. Although the day was starting to warm up considerably, I decided to look for *a cache or three* on my way home.
It was starting really warm up but I persevered with my walk and made my way to this cache... and then called it quits after an easy find. Thanks **VK3TV** for the cache.

I went up and looked down and there it was. Quick easy find today. No trains passing just the dog in the neighbouring yard barking at me. TFTC
Somewhat unloved for the last few months. Container a bit damp but ziplock logbook is fine. TFTC
Out on the Geo-EUC filling in the calendar while in the city for work. Recommend pedalling the tracks if you can. I did 44k into the CBD from Epping, all on the trails. TFTC.

I'm not sure whether to blame slackness at writing cache logs or business with getting on with everything else life throws at me, but here I am writing logs for caches I found months ago yet again.
We very rarely get to this part of Melbourne, so RGSBruce and I took the opportunity while we were here to make a few quick finds. The rest of my log is basically what he wrote .

HerIndoorsOutdoors and I had to come to Epping for a medical appointment, so decided we needed to pick up a cache or two while we were here as our visits to this part of the world are very few and far between.
A quick read of some previous logs led us to think this might be a bit tricky to find, having been found out in the open and moved to a likely position of better concealment. Undeterred, we soldiered on, read the hint, which ended up not really helping, but following a bit of logic and making a bit of a scramble up an embankment, made a surprisingly quick find. Where the cache had been re-located to wasn't far off the hint, but we decided there was a better spot, which was more consistent with the hint (and slightly closer to where the GyPSy showed GZ to be) so re-located it once again.
Minor spoiler - anyone who interprets the hint the way we did will find the cache pretty quick smart .
The cache is in good condition.

Cache has been left out in plain sight so I replaced it where I thought it should go in a more discreet position. Thanks for the cache
Good easy clue. Nice hide. Bag is starting to split a little but should still hold for a while
A nice sunny Winter afternoon so we decided to head out for a walk and look for a few caches along the way. Thanks for the cache VK3TV.

A great day out with Omegaman1971, Our trip last weekend got canceled due to the five day lock down so we were glad we could get out again this weekend, we had a great day out exploring new areas.
This is one of the caches we found on our travels.
Thanks VK3TV for the cache.

Thank you for the railway history, I enjoyed reading it. Also nice to see the creek flowing briskly in January! TFTC.
The geodaughter found this one with a little help from the hint. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache VK3TV.
Found at 2:23 pm.
Well I didn't go away anywhere for the long weekend and neither did OzHockeyChick. So today we went on a bike ride along a couple of trails and this was one of them.
After completing the aqueduct trail in Research/Eltham area we headed over here for another nice and not too hilly ride. It was a busy little trail along here today with the beautiful weather but it was handy having the bikes and a companion so we looked a lot less suspicious.
Nice quick find here once I was on the right level.
Thanks VK3TV for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

With our respective caching buddies out of town or otherwise occupied this weekend, spiffy and I decided to team up, drag out the bikes and find a trail or two.
Saw a man looking at his phone right at gz. Asked if he was caching. He’d never heard of it. So while I briefly explained the game, spiffy retrieved the cache.

I need the hint on this o e as I was about to tackle some prickly bushes beside the path. Clever camouflaged hide. Glad to be the first in a few months to find and first for 2020. Thx again VK3TV for the trail hides.
Out and about with echidna44 for another fun day of caching. As echidna44 took the low option and I took the high option we thought we would have it all covered. It was a quick easy find but we both stood there and wondered WHY. Thanks for the cache VK3TV
Out with xambo4u, we decided to walk along the Darebin Creek in Mill Park. We had a successful day with only one DNF.
What a strange area this is. Once we worked out where to be, it was a quick find. Thanks VT3TV

Ah yes! Do pay attention to the hint. It is very helpful, and very logical tftc

This cache has a nice clue and it pays to pay attention to it as it will stop you looking anywhere too acrobatic.

Thanks

There were several places this one could have been but in the end the hint was very good.
Found with Jimmytherat. As usual did this the hard way nice placement. Thanks VK3TV
TFTC VK3TV. Nice hide. Rain holding off and sun shining. Still picking the hair prickles from the prickly pear encountered earlier. Jimmytherat with Noelle04.
As I arrived here today there were a few working muggles around plus their vehicles,
But once under the railway bridge I was out off their line of sight, which mad this an
easy pick up

Amazing how big and modern the Epping station is now, as we remember seeing the old station a number of years ago. How things had changed. A quick search had this one in hand. Thanks.
It was a long day of getting a number of caches in the area in out for a run attempting to get the 100 caches for the hidden creatures souvenir.

Its been a few weeks since TrailStevo and I have been able to escape out cache, but last night we managed to get out. Im trying to get at least 50 cache per month and here we are just over 1/2 way through June and im on zip! So we looked for a trail and/or area of congestion to rack up a few numbers but we wanted some exercise too. First up was the south side of the CSS series plus a few others along the way. I good variety of hides and some of our favorite (not) hanging in tree hides. After walking about 8km, and back to the car we headed across to nearer Mill Park/Epping for another brisk 7km collecting another handful of cache. I think we totaled around 20 cache, the dog had a ball! In fact the dog had a lie in today and only really seemed to wake up at around 3pm . TFTC VK3TV
After finding some of the CSS series. moved over to this area to pick up a few along Darebin creek. Gunks and myself did about 7kms of walking to boost our haul for June. TFTC

This container has gone missing. I will replace it and see how long it stays there. I will also rewrite all logs in the new log book.
Crafty hide here, nearly had me calling DNF, but then it stuck me like a bolt of battery power, sadly the container needs a bit of doctoring, as the lid looks like a dog has chewed it, but all inside is in good order, even got my sign OK, Thanks VK3TV made me use a couple muscles I have not needed for years
Suscoe decided to spend this mid Autumn rainy and windy day up in the north of Melbourne collecting caches that we have noticed located here for a while now.
It was a strange day with sunshine, wind, raised dust and rain of all sorts including a fairly heavy down pour at lunch time.
We found 26 caches in total which was a nice number seeing as though our caching outings have been few and far between over the recent months.
Thanks to VK3TV for a nice hide in an interesting spot.
A train went by as Suscoe arrived at GZ.

In the area so had time to find one to fill in a date on my calendar.
A couple of trains went by while looking for this one so I had to stop and let them go by.
A quick search and I soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks VK3TV TFTC.

No down side when you find a cache Thanks for bringing me for a walk around this area.
A number of caches have popped up in the Epping area recently so today it was time for me to make a trip to earn some smiles. A combination of driving and walked resulted in me finding six caches before homeduties beckoned me.
As I approached GZ I took a guess at where the cache would be. After checking one or two spots I had my hand on the cache. It was definitely quicker to use my geosense that to rely on my phone GPS.
Thank you VK3TV for this cache and the background information.

The family wanted to stay in the cool of the house so I decided to take the bike out to the Epping area as I don't really get North too often.
The heat was not really a problem but there was a wicked Northerly that made some legs of the ride a bit more challenging than should be.
The GPSr pointed me towards the wrong area to start with but in the end the hint made more sense at the correct GZ. TFTC.

Had previously searched very closevto the area before without any luck. With help from fellow cachers i was soon able to find the cache. TFTC.
Found with GeoDad on an nice sunny Saturday afternoon. Had us a little confused at first but the cache was soon in hand. TFTC!
Couldn't find this after much looking around. Tried to find a corner either at the steps but no cache. I know the old wooden rail bridge is nostalgic but it is totally different to new bridge so didn't help finding cache

Well, here I am, taking the long detour home from a job, to pick up a daily cache... and in daylight after a couple of late night forays.
This area is familiar to me; I grew up a few k's south of here, and have watched the creek trails go from single track rubbish strewn nightmares to the concrete paths we see here.
A short walk from Henderson's Rd this afternoon, and a good guess as to the cache's position once I got within sight.
Thanks, VK3TV... there was definitely no down side today. I Might leave the other couple here until I take the next ride up this way.
