Of course... there are 3 so Murphy's Law that it'll be under the last one. Thanks richbritty#14862
Visiting a friend who lives down this road, so the cache was a good excuse for a wander. A lovely Banks Peninsula day. Thanks for this cache, richbritty.
Another one of those places you would never find if it wasn't for geocaching. Did the required maintenance for the CO. Cache ready for next finder. Have been told by a local that this is to mark a Maori cemetery close by. TFTC.
Day #8 of my 11 day holiday and in Akaroa for the week.
Heading back to Christchurch for the weekend so a few stops along the way...of course!!! Sweltering in the heat of 28° so stopped at Little River for a rest and a bit of exploring. Nice quick find here with no one around and replaced the lid with a spare from my maintenance kit TFTC

I also found this on the ground with no lid. Took a photo but managed to open log pages & sign it. Not sure where it was supposed to go so left it tucked in on ground. TFTC
Found on ground with log out of container. Log soaked. No lid. Reattached to velcro under
A quick find on a caching tour of Little River on a brilliantly sunny winter afternoon. TFTC!
A quick find with Tregearp. Completed formalities and replaced as found. Cache lid has gone missing, but no water ingress although CO may want to replace when next passing. Thanks richbritty for the cache.
20 October 2021 14:31. Found on ground, but still there to be signed... Tftc, number 10182 for me.
#9995. Today was the beginning of another South Island road trip. This time the plan was to pick up the new geotour caches on Banks Peninsula before heading over to the West Coast. We also have a lot of Adventure Labs to target in far flung towns during the trip. I flew down with geocaching buddy Infoferret to work on a lot of mutually interesting caches and share the costs of a rental car. We stopped at Little River to do the Adventure Lab and grab a cup of coffee at the cafe. After the refreshments we headed off the main road to find this cache. It was IF's turn to find a cache. She headed across the road to the seats and soon spied the cache. Signed and replaced where found. Thanks richbritty for hiding this cache here.
What a random spot spot but a peaceful one for a seat.
The cache needs its holder refitted. The cache is lying on the ground.

The lid is missing and the cache is lying on the ground. There is no holder I noticed to reattach the cache to.
After logging this asa DNF I now feel that I can. Did not find it where it should have been. As I was walking away saw the container . So notified the CO. Then again walking away found the log sheet. But was too wet to sign. As I do not know the original location have placed it at ground level. Sadly no lid and as I had used my spare at another location this was the best I could do.
Sunday and the last day of my mum's weekend away. I had a fantastic weekend with friends and even got some geocaching in around eating, chatting, and just relaxing. All good things must come to an end so off I headed.
The caches along this road were unexpected gems. The seats here beautifully crafted. I was impressed with the carving on the post and wonder about the store behind it and the seats.
Straight forward find, harder getting putting it back than retrieving it.
Thanks for another interesting cache.

Lovely little resting spot, beautifully laid out – cache quickly located, nicely concealed from sight. TFTC

Beautiful sunny day for biking the rail trail to Little River. And of course collecting a few smileys as we go.. What a great little spot this is and quite a surprise - you wouldn't know it was there. Cache is all good. TFTC

Nice little random rest spot. And some carving on the post in the middle. What does it mean, what is it for?
Found the cache, park&grab.
Kia ora! Paldies!

We had a day out exploring this area for caches. This is a lovely spot to sit and enjoy. A clever cache here and glad to sign log. Thanks for this cache richbritty.
Team BOP on another crazy mission to the South Island. Lockdown gave us a lot of free time that we directed into Canterbury’s many Geo-Arts and with the Auckland 2020 Mega postponement, Christchurch was an easy decision. Team BOPs current incarnation is DavidsonClan, NZFlossy, McJandals and myself and we’ve signed all the logs as Team BOP to save time and log space.
So it's Labour Weekend 2020, it’s a numbers mission and today we're here having a wander around Akaroa. This cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords, a straight forward placement and a good hint. We enjoyed our time trying to clear Little River, cheers richbritty & TFTC

As Auckland Mega has been postponed we decided to do a trip south to Christchurch. Four of us from Team BOP joined up to share a car and accomodation. I always love these weekends as the company is great and makes our days and nights out caching lots of fun. We have done lots of puzzles in preparation and did some long windy roads to get them. Found lots of great caches and thanks to all the COs for the effort that goes into these Please excuse the copied logs and I will try to make some individual notes on as many as I can This sort of trip is where I find the cachly app very valuable. TFTC
With the Mega Covid cancelled this year a part of Team BoP decided to come south and try get all our solved puzzles, and some others along the way. So here we are!
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

With ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap (of Fap and Gap). Logging all finds as Team HRP (Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa - Our hometowns)... During Covid-19 lockdown, we solved a truck load of puzzles around Christchurch - Canterbury region. No use thrashing the old grey matter for no cause - We decided we should make good on this handiwork...
There are lots of interesting trails and geoart surrounding Christchurch. What you aren’t told is how far flung some of these caches actually are. Some beforehand advice would have been great, so here are some of my notes... You’re welcome!
1. Mobile coverage is patchy, especially in those quiet, rural areas where it was most needed. Saving caches to offline might show that you are prepared and organised...
2. There are many dusty metal roads on the trails. The car will get messy, and your hair will feel like cardboard at the end of the day...
3. Suitable clothing and footwear are essential. You will climb in and out of hedges, gorse, and other rough stuff. You might get scratched, cut to shreds, and bleed a lot. It’s not advised to wear your brand new jacket on the day...
4. Take lots of food and drink. You’ll probably be head down, tail up and not realise you haven’t eaten until late afternoon. There are very few shops or gas stations out there...
5. Make sure that you secure keys and wallet and know where these are placed for easy retrieval. A full box of pens might be useful too, especially if you’re inclined to free some into the wild...
6. Know the difference between left and right, and north, south, east, and west. Turning right and heading north will not get you to South Christchurch quickly.
7. Look with girl’s eyes rather than boys eyes... Some caches haven’t been found in a while and you might have to get down on your knees to pray.
8. Always be prepared for misleading hints. This is what turns simple caches into D5/T5 hides... “Head height” could mean the cache is positioned at your toes.
9. Have a sense of humour and like the people you go caching with. It’s going to be a very long day, and you might want to hurt someone during the journey...
10. Make sure you can operate your phone/device and it doesn’t crash when you most need it...
11. Learn to cut and paste logs because you’re going to repeat this function so often when logging all of your finds.
12. Above all else, have fun and be kind...
After the police moved us on from McLeans Island, we decided to head south-east. There are lots of interesting caches to visit in the area, including a puzzle trail, Canterbury CANZ and the Little River Ad Lab... We stopped for this hide along the way. A straightforward find - An otherwise pleasant place to pause. Thanks richbritty and TFTC.

After puzzle solving in the Canterbury region along with EyeSpyBen we were invited to join Fap (from Fap & Gap) and Squirrel Nutcase to a week long caching adventure in the Canterbury area. With flights and accommodation booked were off, all met up in ChCh. and many hard dusty Kms travelled and many caches found, I think the Squirrel has said it all in his brief. Many thanks for the placements and Cos for bringin us to the very pleasant areas we travelled in to your region
Down in Christchurch with the Squirrel, ABCDF4 and eyespyben. During Covid lockdown, we solved a load of puzzles and decided that this would be a good time to visit. We've enjoyed a few days of good weather and seeing the Canterbury countryside. The caches have been in varying states - some good, some not so much. Our time here has been a blast, and we'd like to thank all COs who have made this adventure possible. Thank you and TFTC.

Found with TharntheHalken on a wet morning when park'n'grabs are the order of the day! Tftc!
JD and I had a fun day out geocaching around Birdling's Flat and Little River. This sure is a cute wee spot to take a seat. Tftc from team Jeje.
Injeanious and I were having an afternoon of exploring around Little River today. We enjoyed rock fossicking at Birdlings Flat and stopped for some yummy food at the Little River cafe and gallery whilst also picking up some geocaches. TFTC!
One of things I love about nz is that you can go somewhere remotely and someone has taken the time to make a seat or planted plants. Makes spots like this enjoyable to stay and sit a while
Found on a walk at Little River after going paragliding nearby. Junior cacher was pleased to find this one after following the helpful hint. Tftc!
What a nice little spot! Cache was quickly found and signed. Thanks for bringing us down here.

The weather was not ideal for caching, but since we already made it all the way to Lincoln for the event, we were almost here, and we decided to stop for a few around here. Good opportunity for the granddaughter to pull out the yellow umbrella! TFTC!!
No problems finding this today, heaven knows how i overlooked it last time. Happy smile now!! TFTC
A bit damp around here today but a nice little spot in the warmer months I'm sure. Cheers
Had a great weekend in Canterbury with a bit of time to grab the odd cache. Many Thanks Bitsprayer

For a few days we are staying at Little River, because the campsite here is a lovely place to be. This day we visited the village. We made a short bike tour through and around the place and also found a few caches. Had a good time.
Thank you for placing this cache!

From the coast we head back towards Zara but with time still up our sleeve a few more to check out along our way. Hi Spudwick. Thanks for bringing us here. Another one bagged or rebagged should I say. Bag again way to big and causing congestion problems. Put log in a smaller bag to help this one along. Cheers

Nice little area! Many thanks to Spudwick for showing it to us.
Down to Christchurch with Taybeedragon, Zara and Toby for a five day weekend starting Waitangi Day (which this year fell on a Wednesday. I reckon half the country would have been taking 5 day weekends!). A couple of days in Rangiora. We did two cycle trails there - having two vehicles makes it so easy. One of those cycle trails was fifty caches. Fifty caches in one day on a bicycle! Then a day in Lyttelton and couple of days exploring the back roads around Akaroa. Darn close to two hundred caches in all. Dropped off a lot of path tags along the way, especially if the cache was nice and dry.
