A cool and grey, wet day, the best days for hunting around parks for hidden cache without attracting suspicion. Travelled by car today and realised I had been here beforewith no luck. Took me a whole snx resorted to poking around with z stick. I'm so glad I did as I soon heard a comforting clunk. TFTC
Yes I agree it will be interesting if the concept gets off the ground. Did have me stumped for a while and I was lucky the blackberries didn't attack me.Thanks VK3TV
I find myself nearby again today here again today and perhaps for a few more days to come I had pre-read the logs on this one and determined that this was going to be a prickly task. I grabbed my gloves and headed to GZ. The rubbish that had been mentioned previously was evident all around. Fortunately, the gloves were not required and I was able to recover the cache relatively quickly. A lucky search.A big thanks goes to VK3TV for taking the time to add E6 to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you ready for Victorias next big event?Join us for Victorias first ever *Block Party* to celebrate 25 years of geocaching.**When:** March 22 - 23, 2025**Where:** Hume Global Learning Centre, SunburyLog your will attend at [**GCAP417: The Sunbury Event** ](https://coord.info/GCAP417) Visit our [**Block Party website** ](https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/the-sunbury-event) for more details on the exciting lineup of events and activities as they are released!
This one had me searching for a while and literally had me stumped. But as usual it always on the last place you look or in this case the last stump. A few blackberries around the area got me but I managed to grab the container after a big reach and stamp my name. TFTC
I found this cache today on my Mega Geocaching Walk #13 - a 30,000 step walk from Epping Station, winding my way up to Wollert and back down the other way to Epping Station once again. I walked up along the railway, then along the cut grass side of the park. On the way out, I passed a heap of junk that some lowlifes have left. Who has good conscience to do this sort of stuff? Thanks from D B-A
A warm day, some long grass, being armed only with my running shoes, shorts and a pen didnt leave me feeling brave enough for this one today!Ill be back once more appropriately equiped
Cold day so time for a brisk walk. Took a bit of searching but finally came up with the goods. TFTC and the information on what this area is intended to become.

*Cache find # 13977.*
I went the long way around to this one which was a lot easier in the end.
I was needing a few more finds in the Whittlesea LGA to try and qualify For one of the Mega challenges so I decided to head back over this way and go for a ride along some of the trails.
I stopped by this one on my travels and was able to find it, the log was signed and I was on my way to the next one.
**Thanks to VK3TV for placing this cache.**

Nice to pick up some unloved on this cache. The weeds are certainly friendly here. They wanted to come home with me! I’ll be picking little green seed balls off my clothes for the remainder of the day. Thank you VK3TV for placing and maintaining E6 for us to find today.

All good, the cache is still in place.
There’s some long grass and a little wet under foot. Walk in close to the fence on your L/H side off the bike path.

On my walks down this way I'm always impressed with the little garden. I had my headphones this time but maybe not such a good idea as I saw the fox looking at me. Took them off as it quickly disappeared. After some searching and wet socks from the rainy days before I came up with the goods. Thanks for the find!

A great day out with Omegaman1971, Our trip last weekend got canceled due to the five day lock down so we were glad we could get out again this weekend, we had a great day out exploring new areas.
This is one of the caches we found on our travels.
Thanks VK3TV for the cache.

helps if you go to the right coordinates! Was looking at the wrong stump then did a check
Thought I was gonna lose my arm to this one. Great hide, tricky reach! Thank you
Out with xambo4u, we decided to walk along the Darebin Creek in Mill Park. We had a successful day with only one DNF.
This was our second last cache for the day, and we were walking to GZ at dusk. By the time we reached there we needed our torches. We searched here and there, then settled on a place, examining it more closely. Great cache. Thanks VK3TV

Out and about with echidna44 for another fun day of caching. Parked a little way and did 2 together. The trained rattled by as be did the walk. Nice offset park with again to much rubbish. Got to GZ and checked out all the stumps. There were some big trees here. Echidna 44 extended herself and made the find. Thanks for the cache VK3TV

Found @07:15am on Good Friday morning. I parked in a nearby street and made the very cold walk in the glorious sunrise this morning to make the find. A tool of nature was used to avoid my arm being severed by things that lurk in the dark and I was rewarded with the cutest sushi seal key ring which I traded for with a handful of swag. TFTC! Happy Easter.
Searched a lot of hidey holes but came up with nothing...well hidden- new to Geocaching need more practice & to develop “Geosense”
The container was found about 6m away on the ground, the contents intact.
Replaced in original spot with a little more camouflage.

Nice to pick up a few caches to day, this one was a quick pick up after a quick look around
to make sure that cache and my hand were the only things in there?.
Soon had the log signed and cache returned.
Thanks VK3TV.

Before I came out today I had sussed out the best way in to this one. Out on the ground though I forgot all about it, and ended coming in from a different way which seemed to work just a well.

A bit of a detour to get this one along the railway line path. At the GZ we had a couple of spots to choose from and soon had the cache. Thanks,
It was a long day of getting a number of caches in the area in out for a run attempting to get the 100 caches for the hidden creatures souvenir.

It has been awhile since I've been able to do any caching, so I made the effort today to fill in some blanks around Epping and catch up on VK3TV hides.... Walked about 10 km today.

Headed out after work to scope out some possibilities for an event.
Grabbed some caches along the way.
Yes, but which one? The last one. Always the last one!
Cheers VK3TV

I’m glad I found this cache before it disappears when they build the freeway through here... in 20 years.
Thanks for the adventure

Suscoe decided to spend this mid Autumn rainy and windy day up in the north of Melbourne collecting caches that we have noticed located here for a while now.
It was a strange day with sunshine, wind, raised dust and rain of all sorts including a fairly heavy down pour at lunch time.
We found 26 caches in total which was a nice number seeing as though our caching outings have been few and far between over the recent months.
Thanks to VK3TV for this hide, walked in from the Drain and foudn this one tucked away quietly waiting for us.
On the way back to the car we spotted the walkers again, boy they have covered some ground at a good pace.

Snuck in early to do this one.
GPS was bouncing around a fair bit on this one and it gave me a few options to look.
I eventually found the right place to look and soon had the cache in hand.
It is a same that some people have to dump their rubbish everywhere.
Dropped of a coin to continue it on its journey.
Thanks VK3TV TFTC.

A number of caches have popped up in the Epping area recently so today it was time for me to make a trip to earn some smiles. A combination of driving and walked resulted in me finding six caches before homeduties beckoned me.
I enjoyed my short walk along the South Morang Rail Trail with a few trains going past on my way to and from this cache.

The family wanted to stay in the cool of the house so I decided to take the bike out to the Epping area as I don't really get North too often.
The heat was not really a problem but there was a wicked Northerly that made some legs of the ride a bit more challenging than should be.
I did the GPSr dance around 4 areas which fitted the hint and in the end I realised that I was unduly complicating matters. When I started to rely on my geo-sense I soon had the cache in hand. I picked up the TB to move on. TFTC.

I made an absolute meal of this cache. Wandering around the area chasing my GPS and over thinking it. Finally found this it.TFTC and the exercise.

A slight detour before the southward journey home... and a nice sized cache in the isolation that only a proposed arterial road can afford. I visited the hairy arachnid in residence, but left her to enjoy the serenity for a while longer.
Cheers, VK3TV.

Nice walk here from "The Drain", had to stop whilst geokids signaled to the train driver to blow his horn, he did, they were so excited! Found the cache, looked like a nice spot for a spider to live for a while so dropped Venus off. Thanks VK3TV for all the new caches in the area, nice to have a few green spots amongst a sea of yellow in the area!
I forgot the number of times Iv'e ridden past this area to get to the start of our Thursday ride. Thanks VK3TV for getting me off my bike and into a little bush area. A great hide, I was unable to leave anything this time however I'll be back to drop off something.

Found it after a short walk from Pindari in Epping. Always nice to see a pocket of bushland in the urban sprawl. Not quite early enough to get a FTF but I will settle for a STF. I should have remembered to bring some swaps but I am sure the cache will collect them over time. TFTC and keep the new caches in these parts coming.
Grabbed this on the way back to the car after finding a cache nearby. Great spot, out of prying eyes. I saw the notification for this last night but was too close to dusk and I was too tired to go out and get it. But it gets a smiley now! TFTC VK3TV. Keep them coming!
