GT37 and I are making our way to the February 29th Mega in South Australia. We found this one very easily as the locals were using it to sunbake on. It seems that these local miniature snails like to be anywhere except on the ground. After signing the log, we tucked it away a little better than found. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.

On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC hevwalker

We are wandering back from Adelaide very slowly after having a good couple of days catching up with friends. As the weather isn't too great today we have decided to concentrate on lab caches and anything else that pops up.

We wish we had a dollar for every old school sign that we have visited since we started geocaching because we would have a lot more money to convert to fuel so we could go and do even more. Although this one is now right off the highway we note that has quite an elaborate sign for the school site that lasted a lot longer than the post office did and now there is no trace of either.

We often wonder what happened to the students in these areas and if they are still in the area or have moved off to greener pastures.

The cache itself was a nice easy find and the log book now contains our name.

Thanks hevwalker for the cache.

Found at 18:25 during a fantastic extended weekend away with Shonkylogic and Southern Cross Caching. We had grand plans to complete swathes of powertrails and solved puzzles, but the weather slowed us down a bit. Even so, it was a lot of fun, and we passed my goal - to get my 9000th find

Friday, day 1, had us driving and caching from morning in Adelaide until the 6pm event in Millicent.

Day 2 focussed on the fishing series, wine bottle, and numerous other caches in that vicinity.

Day 3 was our slowest, due to the worse weather, but still a lot of fun.

Day four, after doing SFE series and nearby caches, plus those we passed, I arrived home at about 8pm, after finding my 9000th cache along the way.

Great to catch up with many of the usual faces, some others we hadn't seen for a long time, and a few new faces too.

Shonky did some shonky driving to get to this one. This was also our last find for the weekend. Shortly after this the power button broke on my GPS.

Thanks for the hides

I knew I had to pull off and had a car on my tail, so left the highway at the southern exit and drove along the old road to get to the cache, using 4WD to dodge the occasional pepper tree that has grown right in the middle of the road.

Uni and Medusa, Southern Cross Caching, and I ... shonkylogic spent the October Long Weekend in 2021 attending the Easter 2020 Mega Event at Millicent.

Today the final day we attended the closing ceremony, then went to complete the SFE series. By this stage it was lunchtime and we felt that our weekend leave passes were close to expiry, and relucatantly made our way home stopping at Beachport to fill in my final D/T square on the way.

We enjoyed meeting up with old friends, in these days of Covid is really is very special to be able to hold an event like this.

Thanks hevwalker for placing and maintaining the cache

The great Southeast Saunter with Anymules down to the Millicent area to find caches associated with the postponed GV2020 mega. Surprised But with leave organized and accommodation booked the caching trip was not postponed! [^]

Day 1: Today was all about getting there. We actually got to just 75 kms short of Millicent before daylight left us and we gave up and made our way to our digs. Cool

A quick stop on what appears to be a very, very old road. [^] Never ntoice this spot before. Qyick search and I spied the cache. Smile

After enjoying nearly all of our week in Meningie we decided that a tour around Lake Albert was in order while trying for some of the nearby caches. The weather was surprisingly cool for this time of the year but much better than caching on a hot day.

This was our second find and we had to replace the smashed container....hmm....gonna have to eat more mints me thinks

Many thanks for the hide hevwalker

Hi there hevwalker.

We found your cache **"Albert Hill"** today. (This makes our find count 21339).

Today we headed out from Meningie to do the Scenic Lake Albert Drive. We enjoyed our outing and found 5 caches (& DNF'd 0) in our cache run. Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander our way around Australia.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

Another monument tucked away we didnt know about, looks kinda newish but the history was old. Windy spot here even the birdlife had scarpered off somewhere.
We indicated to turn in and there was a ute pulled over checking his load, wow SA is a small place, it was a guy Mr Kookacrew had worked with about 10 years ago.
