Greetings from UK. Loved the pink colour of the lake . Answers sent. TFTC
An incredible lake we planned to visit during our trip of course. It is greater than expected to see all that pink hue here and on a so large surface. The season is also good for seeing it. I love it and favorise. We worked and posted all answers to the owner.TFTEC / MPLEC
A nice visit here after overnight in Kalbarri. The water level is high and I am not sure I would be too keen to swim here.Lovely little town with an old world flavour. Thanks for the earthcache here.
Thanks Matthias 777. What a wonderful place. A favourite point from me. Thanks for bringing me here.
The lake was pretty spectacular today - it was full, and as pink as it could get! Thank you for the lesson.
Wasn't looking very pink driving down the other side, but the colour shows from this angle.
I was expecting to get to Pink Lake and find it was some disappointing and insipid version of pink. But how delightful... this lake really is pink! The hard part is getting good photos because it looks better in reality. You know you're at a hot tourist spot when there's a lot of selfies and posing going on.We walked back to the coords from the lookout carpark to check out the reference point. Pink Lake is an amazing phenomenon. TFTEC Matthias999, a Fav Pink/Point from us! Answers have been sent.
Found 10:15hThree months of travelling in Western Australia with Muggle friends from the East coast; stopover in Singapore on the outward and return flights. Caches and labs where they are on the way and can be done without too much effort. You may forgive me for using the same standard phrase everywhere, but there's not much more to it than that. Many thanks to all the owners for making our hobby possible. If there is anything wrong with the cache, more detailed information follows.
Hi there Matthias999. Answer have been sent to the CO. Thanks to Matthias999 for this Earthcache
We came by the Pink Lake, not really expecting it to be toooo pink, as the one in Esperance is nothing quite like this! What a thrill to actually see it pink pink Greetings from down south and Germany waaaay up north!

I had never seen a pink lake before either. It's always amazing what Mother Nature can conjure up.
We called in here on our way to Geraldton. Was pretty amazing seeing the colour of the lake. We were there for a little while to see if the color of the lake changed. Thanks for putting this earth cache together
An interesting stop-off on the way north. I have seen a green lagoon and a black lake but never a pink one! Info as required sent to the CO.Thanks for setting up this earthcache and greetings from Northern Ireland.

Came out to check out the first pink lake that is actually pink! Very busy area but got some pics and answers sent. Tftc
Visited this EC while staying at Kalbarri, this is such an amazing area. Wonderful views from most places in the region.
Even though we gad visited many years ago its still worth a return visit.
It's amazing how pink it was from certain locations. Is this where pink salt comes from?
Thanks Matthias999

Detour to the gorgeous Pink Lakes - Hutt Lagoon. The trip is making me think about re-imagining Australian history! Glad we detoured this way. Have travelled WEST from home base 3500 km away and that includes altitude as well so enjoying the landscape and habitat changes of this BIG country. TFTC and the lure to visit.
Today we are on our way from Geraldton to Kalbarri; we were a little late, as we had to make some repairs at our caravan. Nevertheless we didn't want to miss a stop at the Pink Lake, which was really pink at that moment. Little-Inegüxle also took some salt; don't know if we can use that for cooking....
Thanks for your Earthcache and regards from Switzerland.

An overcast an drizzly day today made the pink lake look quite eerie. Luckily we’ve seen it previously in it’s sunny pink glory. Answers sent. TFTC
Traveling past today and had to stop by to see this wonderful local feature. Thanks for the EC at this location, answers sent to CO today. TFTC plus a fav point.
First pink lake we have seen that is actually pink like it should be!! Plenty of tourists here, walking in the lake....may get bogged, certainly looked soft to walk in. This place was a stopover while heading north. Answers sent to CO. TFTC
On a run up the west coast and called in here after being here before back in May 2015. The lake is as pink as ever, but being the end of summer, is much more white salt than pink water. I have forwarded the answers to the CO. TFTC Matthias999

This is day 2 of my Exmouth trip and today I'm heading from Geraldton to Kalbarri ! On a windy, but beautiful day I'm collecting many caches on my way north - such as several Traditionals and Earthcaches - some other cache types were also part of the list . Thanks for giving me so many opportunities to pause my journey.....
Wow, what an experience [:o)]. Mail has been sent and a FP is for sure...

A great trip to the north and the lake was in fine form for our visit..thanks for setting this cache up
Even though the lake looked pink we don’t think we saw it at its best as it was very grey and overcast on the day we visited.
Found on a trip to the west from South Australia.
This morning I left Geraldton early and headed up to Kalbarri via Port Gregory. I found a few caches of interest and did a few walks in the park before heading further east later in the afternoon.
This isn’t the first time I’ve been here, but the last was around 25 years ago. I don’t recall there being sealed roads then!
Thanks Matthias999 for an interesting earthcache.

Enjoyed popping in here early this afternoon and happy to say it was pinker than we expected. Fascinating coloring variations. Reminds us of early 2020 when huge preparations were underway for tourist onslaught from Asia; all cut short by C19. Thanks for setting this beauty up for us to ponder and research. Answers coming when we get home in a few days.
Catching up on some late logs, now that I have time, while travelling.
We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA. I was happy to grab a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Thanks Matthias999 for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

I am pleased that we made the detour into Port Gregory to check out this Pink Lake. It is the pinkest pink lake that I have seen. There is a pink lake around the Albany area but it is no longer pink. We felt a bit let down when we went to see it. This one is so much better. I have sent my answers to the CO and hope that they pass muster.
Along our journey to the North Cape, we passed by Hutt Lagoon – Pink Lake and made a stop at Gregory.
It was a true colorful experience and we enjoyed the contrast between: the pink water, the white salt, the blue (but cloudy) sky and the yellow dunes. To everyone... Hue shall see it.
Thank CO for this other interesting Earthcache in the region.

Today we leave Kalbarri heading to our next camp in Cervantes. We took the time to explore Point Gregory and complete this earthcache. Geo daughter enjoyed going down to the waters edge to test the water and was fascinated by the pink colour. Thanks for placing the earthcache answers have been sent.
The lake is beautiful this morning.
Will send answers later this evening.

A great location, one we have visited before
Just over 7 months since we left home and stated our lap, just over half way in our original time allocation and not even close to half way around the country… 25,000 ish km done, gosh we have seen a lot, but there is so much more to see.
Perhaps if/we I stopped looking at so many rocks, trees and beaches we wouldn’t be taking so long…then there are the flowers, old things and street art that keeps catching our attention.. maybe it’s the Geocaches… or the time we have spent prospecting, enriching our lives but not finding anything of material value, it’s all about the journey not the possessions. What ever it is, we are having a bloody brilliant time and I wouldn’t change a thing!
The last few weeks have been a bit blah with some bad news from the east, apologies for the late and generic log, catch up time a lot harder than I thought, I really need to make a concerted effort (even in difficult times) to stay on top of logs answers and photos.
Thanks for being one of the caches we found in the past few weeks.

Since I came to Australia I wanted to see a proper pink lake and now I finally saw it, tftc!
Sorry for a late log. But did love this pic very close by. The only place I have seen it. Must have something with too much salt in the area.
Day three of our week long stay in Kalbarri doing the touristy thing and having a go at the odd smiley here and there. Came down to check out Port Gregory and the Pink Lake, never been here before, nice little town.
Always good to pick up an EarthCache in my travels, thanks for bringing me here. Answers sent.

After living in WA for 35 years I finally made it to Hutt Lagoon!! Beautiful, just as pink at the Pink Lake near Esperance used to look like when I was there 35 years ago.

Visiting the Pink Lake again brings back childhood memories of 50 years ago, when reaching it from Horrocks (where we stayed each Sept school holidays) was no mean feat. There was about 26 miles of rough as guts limestone roads; Horrocks had no mains electricity and Shane Gould mesmerised the whole village on TV in the General Store with her Olympic gold medal wins. The Pink Lake is even more magical now than it was then, and it gave me a particular buzz to show my caching buddie Me&B this natural wonder. Answers have been sent to the CO.
Greetings from Scotland. We are making our way from Carnarvon to Kalbarri today on our way back to Perth. We are taking the scenic route to Kalbarri via Pink Lake. We stopped to complete this earthcache. We were disappointed it was such an overcast day today. We didn't get to see the lake in its full glory. Hopefully, it will be sunny again before we have to continue our journey and we will see it in its splendour. We did enjoy the lake as we have seen nothing like it before and are unlikely to see anything like it again. The rain started just as we were leaving. The first for around 3 or 4 months, we are told. Answers sent to the CO.

We visited this earthcache in our holidays in Australia from december to january.
After the Kalbarri NP and Kalbarri town, we came along this magical lake and made a detour up to Gregory.
There we had a great view upside the hill in the west (at the end of Port Street)

A special experience today was the visit of the Hutt Lagoon and this Earthcache. What looks like a photomontage is really reality here!
Thanks for showing.

Tripped up to Gregory yesterday and like everyone else, we stopped to admire the amazing pink lagoon. Tried to find an info sign without success but think we have all the answers. Will send shortly. Great cache location. Tftc
Today our tour - which began in Perth, WA , and led us thru Western, Northern and Southern Australia back to Perth, was simply cruising from Geraldton to Kalbarri.
On the way we came to some interesting locations. Here we searched, found and logged this Tradi-Cache.
Weather was good in the morning and it should even get better during the day.
Thanks to 'Matthias999' for showing us this location, for the fun we had with 'Pink Lake' and the smiley. The search here and today didn't take too much time, fortunately.
Greetings from Germany and we hope to see you soon in the forest.

Hi there Matthias999.
We logged your cache **"Pink Lake"** at 11:34:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 22670).
We are staying in Kalbarri for a few days. We started our caching run by nominating a cache quite a way from our camp site and then took a route that was sometimes determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. We thoroughly enjoyed our interesting trek around the local area
We ended up finding a variety of container types, and sizes hidden along our route. (8 finds today & 0 DNF's). Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic travels around Australia.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Eighteenth day of our 'loop tour'. We had visited this same spot two years ago to do the traditional cache - had wondered at that time why there wasn't an EC. Happy to revisit and the lake was resplendently pink. Noted the relevant info and have forwarded to CO. Thanks Matthias999
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 9907. We found this as part of our 2018 Round Australia trip.
This was a pretty cool spot, we actually almost missed this earthcache but we turned around and came back to the GZ to gather the answers we needed. Our answers have been sent via the message centre.

A welcome break on our road trip. The pink lake is amazing to view and the pinkness is better the closer you get. Answers sent to co. Thanks for creating this earth cache.
This was the third cache that we were looking for here at Port Gregory, and we had no problems finding all three. We previously called in here four years ago on our last trip for our home in Victoria, and remember how impressed we were by the harbour and the pink lake.
The lake didn’t seem to be pink as we drove along side it on our way down from Kalbarri, but the closer we got the more pink we saw in the surface. Once we stopped at the lookout we realised just how strong the pink colour was once you get up close to it.
Thanks for bringing us here and for your work in developing and maintaining this Earthcache. We really appreciate it.

This a a late log due the photos being stuck on a phone that died on the trip. This was a long waited trip with our kids, who we took out of school for three months. We did the same trip same time in 2005. We loved this trip that had so many memories. Such a stunning location. I love the reflection in the picture Thanks for bring us here.

The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 35. Soon after a very cold night it began to rain. I decided to stay in Northampton for the night, but had enough time to head out to Pt Gregory to fix up an old DNF.
Out on the coast there was a good gap in the rain for a few caches. The spectacular colour of this lake makes it something special. It was fun finding out the required information. e-mail sent.
