My days in Mittagong end tomorrow, so I ventured out this afternoon to get some of the geocaches on Mount Gibraltar. This was one of my finds. All caches were in good condition. Thanks for the cache, HappyUke!
Quick find in the obvioius spot, all in good order. The day Afer an very early morning start to make the most of the day which I had for cacheing in the area, I struggled a bit with some caches (probably not quite awake) and was very happy when TikvaNZ reached out to meet up as 4 eyes find caches more than doublle as fast. We had an awesome day driving around Mittagong and Bowral finding all sorts of caches types and getting to see some beautiful corners of these towns. Our plans for a abseil and hike had fall trhough but we made the best of it and had a ball of a time finding caches up and down the road.Thank you HappyUke for putting the cache out, maintaining it and contributing to this great hobby we have. Happy trails, Flintstone's
#22630 @0920I'm visiting Bowral for the weekend. Yesterday's focus was the Mt Jellore walk. Today was finding as many caches as we could before it was time to head back to Canberra. The first couple of caches was on my own, then I was joined by Flintstone's for the rest of the day, and by Search4 for part of the day. Just over 50 caches (including 9 lab caches) in total. Cache easily found. TFTC.
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying a few nights in Moss Vale, today we were going to wander around Berrima but saw that the temperature was only to be 9degrees all day so thought we would try some more park n grab caches instead. All rugged up with beanies off we set reaching home as the sun went down.So much history in this region.TFTC HappyUke
My first international cache!Kiwi visiting from NZ for a friend's wedding (today). I was a bit apprehensive leaving the trail as I'm not used to any snakes or poisonous spiders. But successfully found the cache with no encounters.TFTC!
We came up here again today because we realised there was a bonus cache for the Ad Lab. Which sadly we didnt find. But we did find this cache which was a treat and worthy of another favourite point. We appreciated the theme. Thanks HappyUke for this fun hide. Cheers and happy caching!
#2653Had to sit in the car for a tad until the rain eased.. Then the stroll to GZ. Nice!!TFTC
Four years ago, a Bromance team adventure to hike Australia's highest 10 peaks in Kosciuszko National Park was cancelled after bushfires devastated the Snowy Mountains (and indeed most of the Eastern seaboard). We finally returned to Kosciuszko National Park a few days ago and spent three wonderful days in perfect weather hiking a 61 kmcircuit around the mountains climbing all of Australia's 13 highest peaks and collecting all the alpine caches along our route. After a recovery night and some caching in Canberra, we made our way to Goulburn last night, where we enjoyed a big feed at the pub before an early night. Our planned destination today was Sydney, so we got an early start, collecting a dozen or so target caches in Goulburn, before continuing north through Bowral. Our to do list has quite a few caches in and around Bowral. This one was grabbed during our visit to Mt Gibraltar to take in the sights (and collect some caches). All good here. Many thanks HappyUkePete#7,776
Crookedpete, JezNDez and I were part of a group of 7 geocachers from Brisbane who set off on a 3 day hike to climb to the summit of 13 of the highest mountains in Kosciuszko National Park. Originally this hike was supposed to have been undertaken after Xmas in 2019 but the rampant bushfires closed the park just as I was picking up my fellow team members from Sydney Airport. Now, four years later and it is finally mission accomplished and, after staying the night in Goulburn, we are slowly making the drive back to Queensland, collecting a number of caches on our to-do list along the way.A heavy shower of rain had passed over while we were visiting Don Bradman oval but thankfully had cleared by the time we we driving up Mt Gibraltar to the lookout. After finding a parking spot, I glanced at the geocaching map as we walked along the trail and spotted this cache close by. A quick duck off the track and our names were added to the logbook. TFTC
great concept! CO must have gotten a few of these in surplus via their wedding gift register - always the easiest to claim in the register Good to find this after a recent D2 DNFTftc!
The Bowral caches I have looked at have mostly been too involved to suit a quick visit, but this was a straightforward find on a pleasant area. TftC.
Had to laugh when we found this one. Not sure what I was looking for but made perfect sense once we found it.

After a couple of past very quick visits to this area, we’ve come back to spend a day caching around. We’re aiming at better DTs this time, plus whatever else pops up in front of us.
Starting in the cold early morning it looks like it will be a great day…
Fun container!

Day 2/4 of our Mittagong/Goulburn Trip.
Today we decided to cache around Mittagong, grabbing some good DTs and some other caches along the way. We had a great time doing some awesome caches in this area.
Quick find, cool concept for a cache! SL TNLN
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache HappyUke

Having a series that includes a wheel chair, toilet and body parts this one tickled my fancy. Favourite awarded. Tftc
Found on our toast warm winter 10th Anniversary weekend. Thanks for a fun one!
Homebound now, after spending the night in Sydney, we started our morning with a walk around the city, grabbing a couple of caches. From there, we left the city targeting a few high FP caches along the way, as well as a few randoms at places we stopped.
I think this is the first time we have stopped in Bowral/Mittagong. A lovely area and a nice place to stretch the legs. A unique container!

"Quick" cache on our way to Bowral. The lookout has been closed off to cars for ages. Looking at the road in I can see why. TFTC
And I said what about breakfast at Tiffany's? Hahah very cute! Nice quick find and clever hide. Tftc
Another bonus cache on this waypoint in the Adventure Lab. Unfortunately Tiffany wasn't around, but the cache was.
An exploration of Bowral was on the agenda for today with the associated geocaching. It was a mixed day, with quite a number of hides being in poor condition while others good, but in general some tough going. The weather was a bonus, with overcast skies and only light wind.
The highlight of the day was a trip up the Gib with some magnificent views and good caching thrown in at vantage points.
We completed two Adventure Labs and a few multis, but largely traditionals, with a couple of Earthcaches thrown in.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache HappyUke.

#14744 - 2:42:00 PM; Out on a Sunday drive to Bowral with the geohoney and collecting a few caches while I was there, including this one. After aollecting a few caches closer to town, I headed up the hill for a couple more. Took a short detour on the way to the lookout for a quick find on this one. TFTC HappyUke
Lovely view and quite an odd toasty cache.
When I tell you I wasn’t expecting that! Geocache containers can be anything.

OCW the Bebes. Just moved to Bowral so our to clear up a few local caches. Nice container! Tftc
A quick find and it made me laugh. Haven’t seen one like this before. The log was very soggy, as was the road down to the lookout today. I'd really like to come back here when it's drier as I wasn't able to successfully knock over all of the Mt Gibraltar caches. TFTC
We came for a drive in the rain and the mist up to the barrel look out. Not much to be seen here today,But we can imagine the view would be pretty good on a clear day!
We then walked with her umbrellas to GZ and collected this one. A nice tribute to your teachers who I’m sure were very appreciative of a glass of champagne for breakfast.
We enjoyed Tiffany’s and toast at GZ and have added our name to the log.
Thanks Happy Uke

Work crew installing new gates at GZ so a dnf for me as I was not able to habe a look for the cache.
We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to the NSW Southern Highlands for a short midweek caching holiday, staying in a park cabin at the Mittagong Caravan Park at Emu Plains, and are planning to explore the areas around Mittagong, Bowral, Mount Gibraltar, and Box Vale. Hoping to collect a variety of cache types, including some Earthcaches and Wherigos and previously solved Puzzle caches, and to also complete some of the Adventure Labs in the area. This was our 5th find of the day (day 3), and 46th find of the holiday.
Parked the geomobile at the Bowral Lookout carpark, then headed off on our Mount Gibraltar exploration. Arrived at this one first and made a nice quick find of the very creative cache container, being right on theme with a "pop-up" log. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found.
And now it's time to head over to the lookout to kick-off the Adventure Lab. TFTC HappyUke.

Heading up to Canberra to do the do the effects for the Cessnock Airshow and dropping in on a few places we could leagaly park with our load on board and grab some caches to break up the journey. We were hoping for the Ausmer Challenege but too many tourists so that was a dnf. At least we got this one nice and easy the cache name a lot more sense after we found it and we left with a bit of a smile on our faces.
Many thanks HappyUke for the idea and the hide in a great area.

A great cache and a terrific story about your HSC and respect for your teachers. Log stamped and we continue on our way to explore this region. TFTC
I figured out what this was when reading the clue. Got to GZ and up pop the cache.
On my way to the lookout, decided to pull over and grab this one. A quick find in a unique container! TFTC HappyUke
GPS was a bit off. Got there in the end. Log was spotted on the ground so we signed and placed back in the clever container.
Off to have tea and toast with a great view and our cat ‘cat’. TFTC
