Not where it said it should be? But found it. Container could use some work, perhaps thats why its been moved to dryer turf.
Last person hasn't signed the log. Fun hide here, Rincewind3. Thanks for placing it. Had not walked up here before.#9994
A nice path that we have not been along before. Great view across Littleton from the cache. Put in one of our travel bugs that has gone from the UK to Lyttelton where our family kept it safe until we could get here after covid. It would like to go back on its way hopefully to the UK in the end.Have a favourite point for bringing us here. Tftc
Today, Mr8 went geocaching with the school ... again... This time he had a printed map with the list of caches and our geocaching name spelled out and a pencil. 8 kids and 2 adults went up the the track. It was hard to find the track, at GZ, Mr8 said he found it. Container and logbook were in good condition. Thanks for the cache. HE says it deserves a fav, and we should all go again!
In on a cruise ship, Auckland to Vancouver. Just hopped off to grab a cache or 2. Who knew Mt. Everest was in New Zealand?? Anyway, tftc. Now on to another one! Hello from Wisconsin!
Out for walkies in a different part of the town from my regular - didn't know there tracks were here, very nice! The log has very pretty lace edges from a snail, so cute. Tftc
Quick find after climbing well up the hill. Great effort by the locals planting the hillside out in natives.

Found on a dog walk. Funny story but we came to Lyttelton because we were sropping off a dog house And So as we were here took the dog for a short walk too.
I've been on this track before. I've seen that metal box before!
Cache container is damaged but I guess the outer shell protects from the elements well ️
Kia ora! Paldies!

Too windy to walk on our side of the hill so we drove over to be in the shelter and grab a couple of caches. This was number one. Cool container! Tftc
I hard on the internet about some mountain bike tracks around this way and thought i would take my boys for a walk up the hill to inspect. Happened upon this cach totally by accident, so had to log!

I've been procrastinating about writing up this log for about a month so I thought that I had better get onto it. This cache does stick out in my memory as I thought the way it was hidden was pretty nice. Also dropped trackable. Thanks
Quickly found with Ilmari_the_Red while out for an afternoon stroll to a vantage point. TFTC!
It wasn't the best day for a walk in the port hills, but Trifolia Argentea and I still went for a stroll in the park near the timeball, and collect some caches in the area.
Thank you!
Thank you!

We were certainly pumped for a walk to find a few neither of us has found. Great afternoon to be out there doing it! TFTC!!
Nice easy find on a great day out and lovely views today. The day is warming up and made a good stretch for the legs. TFTC favourite from me.
Found while on a lovely walk. I had not been to this track before and annoyingly I forgot my pen. Cache found, cool hide. Photo evidence available if needed. TFTC
Gps had me off the wrong side of the trail but used my geosense to find it! Tftc from the !
Never been up this track but I am always pumped for a walk! The cache was a quick find. TFTC.
Took a moment to figure out where the cache was located and what the hint meant. What a cool idea for a cache! TFTC
I had been on a Banks Peninsula Walking Festival walk and quickly found this cache after the walk. I didn't have my good boots on for walking further and will do the caches further up the track another day plus check my cache.
Fab spot! First hunt on this side of Lyttelton, and first outing for GeoDog. TFTC.
After negotiating the steep streets of Lyttleton I found a good place to park for our walk Bbear and Little Scissors joined me.
We traveled seperately Thanks and met at the start of the track. Thanks for creating this geocache.

Nice day to catch up with my cache buddy after being away the last 2 weekends. A little muddy but beautiful views and sun. Thanks for the smiles on the first day of spring. Caching with LittleScissors and Nosynel so we signed as NosyLittleBear.
Just waking along and thought, hey that would be perfect for a cache. Took a look and yes, there one was. Inspired placement. FP. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. Team Broadbent aka TB (prev known as BJ25). Find # 1793
We had a great walk along this track on a rare 20 degree day in the middle of winter! I wondered if this cache had been muggled recently as there was some rubbish (now removed) in the cache and no kids swaps. Three TBs were in there but not all the ones listed - I took all three to move on and we left some trade items. Thanks for bringing us to this walk and TFTC!
To keep up with my personal challenge of achieving a minimum of 10 caches finds per day I needed to find 5 caches today and the 5 unfounds I had up in the hills behind Lyttelton made Lyttelton the place to go.
I hadn't any research as to where the track trailhead was, so I just parked where there was a clear are to leave the cachemobile and sorta headed for the hills. A very fortunate decision to go "Left" at one point surprisingly had me at the Trailhead of a track that I wasn't aware of. And even better it soon became obvious that this was indeed the track I needed to be on for my first 3 targeted caches for the day. I was "pumped". TFTC Rincewind3.

Wanted to go up this track for a while now, but with three new caches it was good that we waited. A quick and easy find, TFTC
Scary white thing inside looks like a dog toy marshmallow puff mini sheep rubber blob.... thing
A nice quick and easy find. A bit of a trek finding the pathways to the cache from the bridle path.
Ms KR had a Marae visit at Rapaki this afternoon, so I got her to drop me off Near "Get in Behind", and I walked "the pipeline cache" to new new cache "Pumped for a walk" A great day for it and I had a great time.
Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches. Cheers.

I checked the phone and was greeted with a million new caches published! It was early evening and the text went out to TG and we started hammering out the puzzles. Coords were flying this way and that and plans were made to hit the trail. It was a stroke of luck that my Cachelets were at Grandies for a sleep over as Mrs TW and I were off to do the Tranzalpine the next day. TG stopped by and grabbed me as I had the GPX loaded on the GPSr. We headed out and we scored 32 FTFs and tried our luck in getting here from the back of Rangiora. I had walked down this track recently and knew where the track was. We negotiated the detours and parked up nearby and a quick walk up the track. As we approached GZ I said to TG its a... As I walked past the other day I thought this would be a good spot for a cache. Ha, it was. We scored the FTF and smashed out previous best FTF in a day count of 21!

A nice end to a busy evening chasing FTFs. With plenty of 'light' left in the day we decided to cross over town and try for this cache. Took a bit of a zigzag drive up to park at the head of the track - but all good. Nice wee walk, shorter than expected, and as we approached TW said 'Coming down this track the other day on my walk I passed a ???????, I bet that's where the cache is" - and so it was to be. Nice big container that should keep dry in the worst weather.
Cool night views over the port and harbor. Cheers!
