The log paper is saturated and disintegrating. A cache clean out and new log is needed here ASAP.
(4 of 4 today)The Geowife was keen to attend the *Pirate Day* event, and so we headed up from the Big Smoke to Dunk Is... erm, Dunkey Island (Budgie Island?).After that we collected some caches - she more than me as I have quite a few around here, but ended up at Wyee where there were three more for me to find as well. Of course, the caches we found close by seemed to also attract more pirates... Even had a yummy lunch as the Halekulani Bowling Club.Top day out, Maties!###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Arrived - and parked near the cache and next to a muggle. And the platform was full of them. Thankfully the train was soon pulling in, the platform cleared and the muggle next to us was waving off their friend/relative/total stranger that gave a lift to.And we were alone.Quick find, and as other have noted the log is saturated - unusual for this type of container. We managed to put our names on the log, but the paper was disintegrating as we did. This needs TLC ASAP.Time to head south - chose the route back through Doyalson.SLTNLNTFTC
After waiting for the muggle to leave, twas an easy find, however, log is in extremely poor, soggy condition and is disintegrating; out with Gatherer Hade; tftc
The log is so wet it could not be signed. I dont understand how it could possibly get wet Out with KAZ444 for our lost caching day before I leave on a 5 weeks holiday to Japan and cruising home. We want to get some caches south of Newcastle. Thanks for hiding and maintaining this cache.
Not a waterproof container, thus could only initial MC on the back of the log sheet, still had a good idea of the hide and was rewarded
Outnabout for some solo caching after Canberras Capital Geobash. Found in a break in the weather on my trip homeward. Its always a great day for caching. TFTC JT1018
#7441Nice quick find here and a good hint made it even faster, TNLN SLThanks for placing and maintaining this cache JT1018
We have travelled from Sydney's Northern Beaches to the Central Coast for a five day midweek holiday, staying at the Norah Head Holiday Park (caravan park) in Norah Head. Having already found most of the caches around Norah Head and the areas surrounding Tuggerah & Budgewoi Lakes on previous holiday visits, except for a few new ones and the odd DNF needing a visit/revisit, on this trip we will be concentrating our efforts in areas to the north of Lake Munmorah. Planning to explore areas around the southern & eastern shores of Lake Macquarie, including Wyee, Gwandalan, Doyalson North, Cams Wharf, Murrays Beach, Pinny Beach, Caves Beach, and Swansea. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base.Today we are heading for home, with our holiday now over, but we still managed to find a few more caches before leaving the area. Visited Gwandalan, Kingfisher Shores, Doyalson North, Mannering Park, Wyee Point, Wyee, and finally Bushells Ridge before hitting the Motorway back to Sydney. This was the 8th of 11 finds for the day (day 5), and 57th find of the holiday. This one was next, pulling the geomobile over to the side of the road, then heading off up over the pedestrian rail overpass and through the commuter carpark to GZ for a nice quick find. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. We didn't notice the road underpass until we were leaving, which would have allowed us to drive right to GZ (doh!), but we needed the exercise anyway TFTC JT1018.Find #6548
wow nice station, very traditional style. i parked right next to cache before i checked the coords. made for a quick find and dash.
Found cache. Was was damaged, so unable to sign log. Still an interesting find.
Found it, but it's severly damaged and flattened so unable to sign. Notified owner with photo
Found it super fast, but it's severely damaged, in fact, it looks like it's been run over! Couldn't sign but I have photo evidence if required. Hopefully it can be replaced soon. Thanks!
Quick find;) log needs maintenance please it’s disintegrating.

This was a good find the only bad thing is that the log book is stuck at the bottom and the can is rusted might need some maintenance
Found quick and easy on this sunny Saturday morning.
In extremely poor condition, so unable to sign.

A quick park and grab, possibly the best example of a park and grab as you can almost get it without leaving the car.
The container is a bit rusty and dented and the log is wet but singable.
Interesting to read about the station, the kids decided this should be an honourary member of the sidetracked series!
Thanks for the Cache!

Quick and easy find manages to pull log out with some tott. May need a newer log!
Driving by so had to stop. Quick find.. didn't bother with log book as it needs maintenance.
Very easy find, log hard to write on and container needs some maintenance. Hardest part is getting it back without the muggle seeing
Yes.
Nice one.
Thanks
Parked on the wrong side of the railway line, so had the long trek up over the footbridge. I muggled a trainspotter on the way. He was waiting for some South Australian train.

Randomly call n the area so stopped in to grab. Parked basically on top of it ! Log very rough but able to sign. TFTC!
Found while passing through town. Cache is looking like it’s had better days and is missing it’s lid. May need some maintenance in the near future

I grabbed the kids and headed out today to find a few caches, and while we were restricted to our LGA, we managed to go for a decent drive and get out and see some bush land.
We managed to pull right up next to the cache, and quickly spot it. The container doesn’t have a lid on it, so it may become a problem down the track, but for now it’s fine.

TFTC. A nice quick find on a beautiful sunny morning. I parked on the other side but it was good for me to exercise going up and down the stairs.
Dayboro trip. Day 2. After an evening being lulled to sleep by the roar of traffic, I was up with the sun and ready to head further north. The Sydney Toll roads make the whole place disappear and Newcastle was in sight. I stopped as I could on the way targeting about 10 caches for the day. My plan to stay at Port Macquarie was stymied by the flooding, so I ended up at Waughope. The road past Taree showed no signs of being wet or damaged, so just a speed limit to show for all the drama.
I came around the correct side of the station first, so that was good. There was enough room in the car park for me right at GZ, so even better. No lid, but the hide location protects it.
Thanks.

Thought at first it was on the station which seemed unlikely. Then walked up and over and soon had it in hand. Container has seen better days but still dry enough in ziplock

A little detour to grab this. Park and grab. As others have said, no lid means soggy mess. Replaced baggies and found bit of paper in car. Tftc.
The log book was a soggy mess so couldn’t sign, but The Lakes College was here!!!!
Passing by & stopped off to find this one , needed it for my D/T grid.
No lid on container very wet log could not sign
Signed on a separate piece of paper
Have a photo if needed

We left Australia 12 years ago with our daughter and after all that time we are back on a holiday to show the daughter were she was born.
Our friends life in Wyee and so I was in the area for this cache. While logging the cache a train to Newcastle was announced and so I added a 'train spotting' photo to this log.
Thank you for placing this cache.
Best regards,

I stopped off at Wyee on my way back to Sydney from Newcastle. I wanted a quick cache at a train station within Lake Macquarie LGA, and this one fitted the bill perfectly.
Glad to get a nice quick find at GZ - just 15 minutes until the next train arrives, and I'm back on my way. The log was nothing more than a crumpled receipt, so I added a page from my notebook. TFTC.

Found 9/2/19 with partner. Fairly easy find. Was in the neighbourhood to check out Wyee market. The log was all wet so dried it out a bit given it’s hot at present.
After the HAVOC Christmas party i still needed some points for this months souvenir. On approach i spotted something that could be a potential hiding spot. Managed to park as close as we could and made a quick find. TFTC
After dropping off our rooster after work. I came here for a little train spotting. Saw a nice looking country link while I was signing the log.
Thanks for the train and cache!

Good, quick find by geokids and WrightatHolm. No muggles about as the buses are replacing trains today. TFTC!
