Just flew in for a 6 week stint of work and a bit of geocaching. Actually got the coordinates for this one 6 months ago and had briefly visited GZ without success. Maybe it was missing then? Today was a straight forward find although lots of options here so I think I just got lucky. Thanks for the maintenance. Great cache. Happy to add a favourite point for the cache thats taken me 6 months.
Out cyclocaching around Renwick. Found the bottle caps but didn't know what to do with them so I cycled away. Can't recall there being a white container there.
No problem with the intermediary stage whilst the dogs frolicked in the dog park. But nothing to be found at the final got well and truly scratched up looking though. DNF for us!
A nice quick find. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I are off on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland to visit family. Today we cruised around Blenheim and Renwick, with lovely weather.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Decided to quickly do this multi as we were so close to it. WP1 is clever and final was a fairly quick find
We were delighted with the great size of this one. Found with the team from CHCh today, enjoying caching in the area. TFTC
Caching trip with busy paws, lytteltonwitch and coconuts3. Big one! Great condition. Enjoyed the wp. Cool idea. Thanks, capperz

We are on a geocaching adventure with busy paws, Jude_E and lytteltonwitch. Great idea and a good search to find the info required. then to the final which was a great size cache, Thanks for this multi and the cache capperz.
Second try at this multi. My fault for not being thorough enough the first time. Thanks FTC Capperz .
This was too tough for us, tried to make sense of the bottle tops and lightening device but think I need to come back once I have more experience!
As requested by the CO, this morning I took a look at this one. WP1 all good. And, after a walk up the hills for more Everest Challenge metres we took a look at WP2, which is still all good as well, and about 100m clear of nearby tree trimming. Dipped the TBs as well.
Found part 1 of the multi but at stage 2 the area has been cleared and some trees trimmed. Unable to find the cache.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on a drive in the country, picking up solved puzzles and any trads we drove past. It was good to have some drive bys after a long walk in the Wither Hills this morning.
We had found WP1 of the previous multi here had been muggled with the bottle tops scattered far and wide so consequently never had the pleasure of completing it . We made this one a lot harder than we should have . Finally after a bit of faffing around, we were in possession of the final co-ords and soon were signing the log book. Good we were finally enlightened - thanks for a neat wee multi.

#18568. Enlightenment took a while to arrive for us. After exhausting pretty much every other possibility, I finally managed to locate the coords. Whew! Quick find after a short drive. TFTC.
Found while out and about on our bikes. Good lunch and a few more caches before heading back to Blenheim. TFTC
We trduged through the tall wet grass for a great surprise at GZ. Dismantled it to find the info to get us to GZ. Then did RSPCA while alls quiet here. Then back down the road the these trees. Went the long way round to the back to finally find this great box. So with my trusty gloves and handy dandy wipes we get this one tagged and tucked back in. Cheers. Fav for this one.
Its Saturday and time to head for the hills with Lake Challis in on our radar for today. Raphael, my lock-down house guest, is along for the ride as we trail the Seagnoid Mobile up Staircase Road. Bummer! 14km from Lake Challis we get stopped by a tree across the road. OK plan B? Rimu Falls. Yes! so we u-turn and head up Bartlets Creek, only to come across a locked gate. OK a walk in these them hills is off the menu and when we later stop at North Bank we find the whole of Richmond Range is CLOSED. DUH, should have stopped there first. So we cache back along North Bank Road to SH6. Then target a few Capperz caches in the vicinity, before they disappear. Then a walk around Grovetown Lagoon to finish the day off. We have both enjoyed our day out.

After checking the movement of rain clouds, we packed up and decided to head north for a few days' adventure! I had all active geocaches I have not found yet in the South Island loaded on the GPS, but not particular plan as we only decided that morning. We ended up finding quite a few cool caches and had heaps of fun! Having collected the final coords yesterday, it was a quick find! TFTC!!
I was heading into town with spacenarwhale for some errands and library time and she got to choose which Multi we tackled on the way in. She chose this one, which led us to a dog park we hadn't realised was there. We did some walking then decided which of the bush-bashing routes seemed easiest. We quickly found the first container (that previous one looks fun!) and then headed off to the final. This was also a pretty quick find, after we decided to explore non-bashing options. Everything was tidy and dry in the container.
Thank you for the cache.
Thank you for the cache.
Two years ago I did the bottle cap cache that was here! Came back today to work on this new one. Still lots of evidence of the bottle caps around! Good memories! Got down to business and found the coords alright and headed over to GZ and found the cache pretty quickly. Signed the log and replaced as found. Dropped off 4 tb's to move along. Thanks for the great multi cache, capperz! A favorite!
Found today with hingis20. Nice to be back where we got a previous cache. Sure glad we didn’t have to do the same thing. Bit of an overcast and, at times, drizzly day. Still a good day for getting out for those elusive caches. Here in New Zealand from Victoria, BC, Canada to visit family for a few weeks. TFTC
Today a Christmas Eve road trip to Marlborough was on the cards. Time to find a few caches and solved puzzles. Weather wasn't that great. Overcast with some driszzly showers so I didn't stay over here as long as I had originally planned. I never got round to finding the 'cap' cache but with this one, it didn't take too long to become enlightened. having found the righteous path relatively quickly, I was off to GZ to find the cache. Zero'd in on that without any problems. TFTC, Biggles.
A pre Christmas road trip was arranged.
Our last mission for the year.
After Newman Road this was my next closest To Find. I hadn't realised that Captivating Caps had been replaced. My driver had already found the replacement so he asked me if I remembered where its predecessor was hidden. Straight to the final was how I like my Multi's [:0] Left a TB.

An interesting and unusual multi, which we made harder than it should have been, especially as the hint had us thinking we hadn't found the correct container. We missed something crucial initially, and pondered for some time, before eventually all was revealed. The cache itself was then a fairly quick find. A challenging cache, but worth a favourite. TFTC
Having been enlightened 2 of us went to a familiar GZ to do the signing. Sad the cap cache had to be archived but pleased to have another cache to find as a result.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Yep, that was an enlightening experience ! I approached this one with some trepidation remembering what a challenge its predecessor was. Happily this one proved a little easier. Thanks for the fun .
I stopped at the first waypoint on my last visit over the hill, I knew I wouldn't have time to solve so I just took photos of everything so I could figure it out at home. It was mentioned at an event and I knew what to do. Nanzie found it quickly at the final. TFTC capperz

Paddle chick and I were on our way back to Nelson after going to the Cito in Blenheim then getting a few caches on the way home. A quick easy find ,thanks for this cache capperz
I needed a bit of enlightenment here because it was completely dark by the time I got here. So many caps all around - if I had been here in daylight I may have had a bit of fun with them but by now all I wanted was a find and get on the road home. I got what I needed and then off again to the final. Nice quick find there and then homeward bound. TFTC # 12,989
Our last cache for the day before heading homeward. On previous visits over the hill we didn't have enough time for what we thought this multi might entail but today it was done and dusted very quickly.
We well remember the previous cache here especially as it's where we likely left a never to be seen again Leki walking pole.
Took TB.
Thank you capperz.

I'll never forget where I parked last time. After bringing "Capperz' Captivating Caps"to a successful end I left my Leckie stick behind I went back but it had vanished. I looked again today still in despair but alas. We did get enlightened at GZ with a familiar looking object and were soon on our way for the last find of the day. We made a quick find and left the cache as found. No problems making it in time to watch the 2018 final of Super Rugby [^] A fav. Thank you capperz
Over to Blenheim to drop StreetGamer at Woodbourne for onwards delivery to his cadet camp in Auckland, so my ‘reward’ was to get some caches whilst over the hill.
Sadly I never got to be captivated by capperz’s caps but approaching the site of WP1 I got a flavour for what might have been involved and was struck with admiration at the level of, and dedication to the amount of research and preparations that must have gone into it.
Having found the necessary tool I soon found part of the coordinates but then woefully overestimated the amount of work needed to obtain the other part! Doh.
Then I had a lightbulb moment and found the rest of the information I needed.
Calculating where I needed to go next I was pleased to see it was the way I was going.
Pulled up as close to the GZ as I could and as I got out of the car I heard a rumble in the sky and looked up to see StreetGamer’s plane taking off and passing overhead.
I then pushed on to the GZ for the first of two visits. One to sign the log and the other to drop off some TBs.
Thanks capperz

Found with NZDi. We were nearby visiting a Winery of Marlborough, (unfortunately not a cache as yet due to proximity issues) to get some wine for my Old Man's 90th birthday later in the month. After making our purchase we had time to spare so made our way to the initial waypoint for this cache which had piqued my interest with the cryptic hints after the demise of capperz' captivating caps.
For some reason I had been expecting to find the original cache container, but when I laid my hands on the replacement everything became instantly clear and I quickly had the final coordinates in hand. I was surprised tS had so much difficulty in solving this one seeing he once trained as a 'Signaler' for the RNZAF.
After projecting where the final was, it was a short drive to add out name to the log book.
TFTC capperz +1 from me.

First of 3 muilti's attempted. Two finds , one DNS
Quick solve and find here...can see the demise of the previous cache.
Cheers

We are back in town after a trip overseas, so I thought the car that had been sitting up my drive for two weeks needed a bit of a run to blow out some cobwebs. Subsequently, I thought I would head off to the general Renwick area to have a look at this newly refreshed cache.
It was drizzly, and I was prepared for that. Initially I thought I would just solve the final for claiming another day, but once I worked out where it was I changed my mind. It was close enough, so let's do it. I overthought the puzzle slightly after working out the 'twist' first thing, but no worries - put it back as found and headed off to the final. Here I had to contend with some sprinklers that were (a little strangely) on - again, prepared for that - and a damp walk to the cache that has a sense of déjà vu about it.
Thanks for the cache Capperz. Should have dropped my remaining TB here but forgot to bring it. Container is big enough. Looking forward to a debrief of the last couple of weeks soon.

We were in Blenheim for GK to do some work (and ML to do some caching). We had left this until mid morning to go to look for, with the intention of giving anyone who is chasing FTFs time to get it sorted. We arrived about 10am, we spotted a car down the road and wondered who that might be. When the phone finally settled and we headed for where we needed to be we could see some legs among the greenery. Turns out it was the Seagnoid, he was standing there looking a bit perplexed. GK quickly sorted how to find the coordinates we needed to proceed. Not where I imagined we were going to be heading. A short time later we found our way into where the cache was. We were a little surprised to see a blank log. A joint {FTF} with the Seagnoid. We had a good chat before going our separate ways. Thanks for the multi and the FTF smilie
I saw a couple of caches - this and another - get published last night, but I promised I would leave them for other, and instead headed off to Havelock for today's calendar needs. On arrival back here, about 9:30am, I checked the logs. The other cache had already been found, this had not. Well, since I am driving past, I may as well work out where the final is, ready for some other later trip.
Found part one okay, but could I find the coordinates for part two? I have the cache container in peices, the parts and its contents scattered around me. I arranged the contents in various ways, but everything I came up with needed counting. Put it all back together and sat on the fence by the car mulling over what I had seen, looking for inspiration, hoping another budding FTFer would come along. Ah! Bright idea! Back to the cache. Contents spread around me again. again, draw a blank. IT CAN'T BE THIS HARD!! The CO's difficulty ratings are always pretty good. I'm turning this into a mountain aren't I? Back to the car. Cross the road and sample some grapes. Very late in the season but there are a few. Lots of raisins, too, yummy, but relativly large pips.
And then another car turns up! Ah ha! Subtle plan #2 worked! Out pops gkmlb, still working on their streak not 600 something days long. I leave them to it, so as not to bias their attempts by what I had done. They promptly get the coordinates worked out in 2 seconds flat. GRRRRR!!!!! ^$#%&$!! I HATE THAT!!! But then, that's exactly why you have more than one brain working on a puzzle. Final was where I suspected it might be, so a joint [FTF]. I said I would save it for another - they got it but since I am here at the same time....
Dropped in path tag. Borderline antifav - far too much rubbish here.
