Quite a tricky find, I was reticent to wade into long grass in snake season but smallest quokka literally leapt in face first once he spotted it.

Finally found after a couple of searches and wondered how I missed it previously. Another smiley face. Thank you for placing

A great day out with Omegaman1971, Our trip last weekend got canceled due to the five day lock down so we were glad we could get out again this weekend, we had a great day out exploring new areas.
This is one of the caches we found on our travels.
Thanks amaali for the cache.

OMG was that hard!
Finding these things sometimes is all about luck rather than know how..
It’s also where you perceive it to be and that continues to be your focus.
When you can’t find it, you need to change your focus and tact.
Chances are: then you find it.

It took a little while for me to spot this cache. I must have walked past it three times. Once seen you wonder how you missed it.
Kato Potato and I had booked accommodation in Mill Park for the Whittlesea MEGA event.....non-refundable accommodation which thankfully opened up to us regional Victorians this very week. Despite not being able to attend the now-cancelled MEGA, we got back in the saddle of geocaching and realised how much we'd missed it in 2020.
Heading back towards the car.....we decided to walk a little further and get this one. A nice find complicated by muggles. TFTC amaali

After a particularly long caching hiatus thanks to COVID-19, Mummy Short Legs and I finally got to hit the road again for our annual caching weekend away. This weekend was originally planned to be celebrated with the nearby Mega event, cancelled for obvious reasons. We still had an accommodation booking though and thought waste not, want not! A great weekend away and an opportunity to just enjoy the area.
Our last find for this area before we decided it was time to head for home and our families once more. I carefully stored up a pebble in the tread of my runners as a planned decoy for stopping to allow the muggle behind us to pass at GZ. Unfortunately, right after she passed and MSL was about to start the hunt, a whole family of muggles trapsed/rode/walked past, taking their time. So what was one pebble in the tread turned into two complete shoe clean outs! At least MSL got the cache! TFTC amaali.

Picking up where I finished on a recent bike ride, this time for a pleasant evening stroll around the trails and streets. Four caches in a 5km loop encompassing the creek and the transmission line.
Thanks, amaali. In plain sight by torchlight from the angle of approach.

Well I didn't go away anywhere for the long weekend and neither did OzHockeyChick. So today we went on a bike ride along a couple of trails and this was one of them.
After completing the aqueduct trail in Research/Eltham area we headed over here for another nice and not too hilly ride. It was a busy little trail along here today with the beautiful weather but it was handy having the bikes and a companion so we looked a lot less suspicious.
Rode my bike right up to this one and as I dropped my bike on the grass there it was in front of my face. Brilliant, I love it when that happens because these are sometimes hard to spot.
Thanks amaali for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

With our respective caching buddies out of town or otherwise occupied this weekend, spiffy and I decided to team up, drag out the bikes and find a trail or two.
Another easy find. Enjoying this trail. Just a few more to go.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, amaali

I DNFd twice on the way here, and this one didn't exactly leap out at me, literally or figuratively, but eventually I spotted it. Thanks amaali for this cache
A nice string of caches...another exactly where it should be and a quick find. TFTC
This was the second find along this trail for the day. Something caught my eye as I was walking around the tree and it was the cache. TFTC amaali
Out and about with echidna44 exploring this new area to us. Having a good day with only one DNF. This was nearly a DN. We looked for ages moving from one tree to the other and slowly the name registered. We forcused on that tree in, around under. It was getting just at the right angle that we had success. We must have looked there lots of times before. Thanks for the challenge amaali
Out with xambo4u, we decided to walk along the Darebin Creek in Mill Park. We had a successful day with only one DNF.
We searched here for ages, and nearly gave up. Perseverance paid off and we received a smile. Thanks amaali

Made this our last find of our bike ride today and this one had us circling the gz for a moment or two before spotting the sneaky little blighter. Mant thanks amaali for the hide and for the nice short power trail along this neck of the woods. Thanks also for the chance to dust off the bikes and get some much needed excerise.

The last tree was the last of the trek along the creek and trail today. An easy enough find once you find it
Took nothing, left nothing.

Was pretty sure what I was looking for but this type of cache can be tricky to find. Was nearly ready to give up when I moved a branch and glimpsed what I was looking for
Suscoe headed for the Bundoora area on a mild day with a bit of sun, a bit of cloud and a mild breeze for a Summer's day.
20 caches visited and 20 caches found.
All caches are in good order and are well maintained by their owners, thank you.
Thanks to amaali for this hide, went too far past the hide and found on the back track.
A nice spot to stop and enjoy the quiet of a place in the north of the city.

Took a Flex day today, so I invted my wife (who now has Friday's off as well) to go Geocaching with me. She surprised me with a yes! So we parked at the skate park and off we went. After a few mins, my wife found this one. I was very impressed! TFTC amaali. Can't wait to find the next one.
After a hunt around and looking at previous logs I found this cache in a well concealed spot. Another nice one Amaali. TFTC.
Very tricky little spot...well covered at the moment probably due to a bit of overgrowth. Tftc
I found the last 4 caches of my 22 haul this morning by parking near the Marathon cache and walking in both directions.
Another good hide here and cleverly positioned so as not to be too obvious. Dog barking madly nearby too.
Thanks amaali

My last cache for the day and it probably took the longest. It was there alright, just had to look harder!
One of the neighbourhood dogs started making a racket as I approached the GZ from Tooth Court. Fortunately the fences are high enough to obscure the view from the nearby houses.

I had to come over to get an URN for my weekend and needing a couple for the souvenir on offer, and this little group of caches were close by, so I had a walk and found some, Thanks amaali, the cache is in good order
Next on the list and new this could be quick or not depending on luck. As it was it was not to bad. While circling for the second time my eyes zoomed in on the anomaly and we had it logged. Tftc
After walking straight passed this one we had to double back. Round & round & round & really how did we miss this? Jimmytherat has sharper eyes than me thankfully. TFTC amaali
TFTC amaali. Challenging little hide. Found after a long search. ‘Gee why didn’t we see it before!!!’ Jimmytherat with Noelle04.
The last one for the day for me. The light was fading and these type of caches can be hard in the best of light, so I was worried it might be a DNF. But managed to find it in time!
Looking, looking, looking. You can never see these ones until you see it, then you wonder why you couldn't see it in the first place. As an owner of these style of caches, we know how evil they can be to spot. Thanks,
It was a long day of getting a number of caches in the area in out for a run attempting to get the 100 caches for the hidden creatures souvenir.

Will be back another day when its not as cold.
Looked for quite a while but no luck today.
Looked for quite a while but no luck today.
It got dark quick and the smell of pasta cooking was delightful , a couple of laps until spotted, thanks
These ones sometimes take a while but fortunately today was pretty quick, as there was a huge black dog bouncing up and down on the other side of the nearby fence. I thought he would go over it or push it over at one stage. Fortunately Shadow seemed to be a bit more confident that the fence would hold and we headed off as quick as we could.
thanks amaali

Struggled for far to long with this. It was a cold wind too!! One last look and I found it, as is usually the case, and then you wonder why you couldn’t see it before
Darebin Creek Trail sounded like a good place to find some of the Hidden Creatures (souvenirs) today. I had a day off work and so between appointments I came for a walk along this path. There were only a few muggles out walking their dogs so I was able to search for each cache without interruption.
I was sure that I knew what I was looking for but after ten minutes I was just about to give up the search. One more look from a totally different angle and I spotted the cache. Certainly out of muggle's view.
Thank you amaali for this cache.

Its been a few weeks since TrailStevo and I have been able to escape out cache, but last night we managed to get out. Im trying to get at least 50 cache per month and here we are just over 1/2 way through June and im on zip! So we looked for a trail and/or area of congestion to rack up a few numbers but we wanted some exercise too. First up was the south side of the CSS series plus a few others along the way. I good variety of hides and some of our favorite (not) hanging in tree hides. After walking about 8km, and back to the car we headed across to nearer Mill Park/Epping for another brisk 7km collecting another handful of cache. I think we totaled around 20 cache, the dog had a ball! In fact the dog had a lie in today and only really seemed to wake up at around 3pm . TFTC amaali
After finding some of the CSS series. moved over to this area to pick up a few along Darebin creek. Gunks and myself did about 7kms of walking to boost our haul for June. TFTC

And the last one for the day for me. I thought the strong wind would hinder the find, but then I saw a glint and had it. Well camouflaged. SL TFTC
FTF!: My second FTF of the day and despite the protestations of the nearby dogs after a brief search the cache was in hand. TFTC.
Very nearly gave up, then I spotted what I was looking for, a great hide that fits in with it's surroundings. Thank you amaali. Four out of four.
