We are on a one week holiday road trip from Sydney to Brisbane to Sydney, with pre-booked accommodation at the Ingenia White Albatross Holiday Park in Nambucca Heads, the Big4 NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Resort on the Gold Coast, the Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort in Yamba, and the Big4 Leisure Tourist Park in Port Macquarie. Planning to collect some caches around our accommodation stays, and also stop-off for some targeted caches along the M1 Pacific Motorway route. Photos will be uploaded to logs after our return to home base. This was the 9th of 11 finds for the day (day 1), and 9th find of the holiday. This was the next cache we came to after exiting the M1 Pacific Motorway, as we drove towards Nambucca Heads for our first night's accommodation, and it was a nice quick find on arrival at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Anissa288.Find #7167
Located the cache here as we were passing through on our way down south. Took a wrong turn and came down this road so took advantage of it by grabbing this as a smilie.
Found on a trip through western New South Wales and central Queensland to attend the QOGM at Longreach, then a return drive back to Adelaide via Brisbane, the north coast of NSW, central NSW and the Riverlands. Thanks for the cache Anissa288!
Another quick park and grab. No muggles but a cow was watching - hope she can keep the secret!

We are now heading north to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria. Today I was grabbing some of this series, as I meandered my way toCoffs Harbour. Thought this was a great way to tour the old highway and would be a great alternative but I can't say they were my favorite type of caches, as who like to have to find a micro in the bush.
This was a quick find at GZ but needs some TLC.
Thanks Anissa288 for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Found with nissan65 on our way to an event at Sawtell .Many thanks for your contribution to geo caching.
Eventually found the cache but unable to sign the log book. Muggles weren't a concern but midgies were. TFTC
Log in a bad way after all the rain. Sorry nothing on me to fix it but managed to sign it - just. Tftc
I disturbed a small lizard when searching for this cache which gave us both a fright.
The cache is a very good hide in a standard location.
I put another piece of paper in the container to replace the saturated log.
This cache resulted in the GBR natural wonder.
T4TC & thanks for the FH series.

Thanks Anissa this area has obviously recently flooded, cache was full of water I squeezed it as dry as possible and signed it. If I had more time I would have tried to dry it.
After spending so much time back home in Victoria under varying degrees of restriction for COVID, it’s so lovely to be able to jump in the car whenever we want and go find some caches. We struck out on the first couple we looked for today, so it was great to get back unearthing caches. We also always enjoy a series of caches with a theme.
We were glad to find a good parking spot in the shade under the bridge for this one. Lots of lush green growth in the area of the cache, but we were able to liberate the log to sign after a bit of a look.

Floating around while the others use their amazing skills to find the cache, well, not much help was needed, *Throsbynchurch* had things well under control. Log signed and replaced and the scene evacuated OCW *Throsbyonchurch* and *DustyJasperJet*. TFTC! Your efforts in placing and maintaining this cache is much appreciated.
Found -- Thanks for bringing us to this location and Thanks for the hunt *Anissa288*.
Headed up to *Port* for a quick visit of my sibling. I have been keen to tackle this series as it looked like a great drive and I hoped it to be easy so I could keep time with my estimated arrival. Even if my arrival was not quite to time I figured I could grab the remainder on the way back through. This series didn't disappoint. I really enjoyed the drive and finding the caches.
We signed the log in either our names or our initials in some switcheroo form of LP, DJJ, ToC and then returned cache to its hide'y hole exactly as found.

Geogirlfriend nabbed this easy find. Good area, other than someone burning off at the time it would be a good place to relax.

Easy find and had a pretty good idea where it was straight way
In the field they were burning off something as there was a lot of smoke coming from the field next door

A short hunt here due to the tall grass but tramped through to the usual hiding location. Tftc.
After being locked up in the caravan yesterday getting cabin fever, we managed to get the washing done today and headed out around the Macksville area. We were abut six into our caching day when the heavens opened up, so we headed home stopping for fish and chips for lunch. By the time we had finished the skies cleared so we headed out in the other direction towards Valla Bch for a few more. Nice day with the 'Bloodhound' AKA Geowife managing to bag a few of the trickier ones without my assistance. It's about time she pulled her weight caching.

It was dark on our way home, spykids wanted to find cache on our way home. Getting closer to it out phone's die. Leading blind I pull up they all jump and run in so many direction of where they think it is.
SK2 scream there is something in the bush. The cows of the other side of the run off creek. But little did they know they where standing beside the cashew. Good hiding spot

Must have been some Roads Authority confusion here.... sounds like the only thing that's how it should be is the swamp... And GZ.. GZ was where the GPS said. [^] A quick find as we continue south. TFTC Anissa288.
small black ants or termites have moved in to surround the container at GZ but they currently hold no danger to the actual log book so no big dramas in making the find.
A big day of caching while being based at Stuarts Point had us travelling over forgotten highways as we attempted to join up from where we had stopped caching a few days ago. This is one we were able to find. Thankyou Anissa288 for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
Zo nu en dan loggen we een cache onderweg.Er is ook niet altijd een goede p plek voor de camper.TFTC
A nice quick find by Lundsdens Lane,
on a cruise north to Nambucca Heads
This is the only Pacific Highway I have ever traveled
And despite the new Motorway somewhere to the east taking most of the traffic now,
this road still feels as busy as it always was !! [:o]
Why ??
Explosive population growth I s'pose !!

TFTC we are spending a week weeding with the South West Rocks Dune care group and spending our spare time out looking for caches. Thank you for hiding this one.
7436 Located by baby&Mrs gopher (bMgopher) at 1500. After an enjoyable trip on the river this morning with the bird life and the dolphins it was time to go caching. Thank you for this series. We are having fun discovering the district. SL Tnx Aniss288
Travelled down the coast to venture out with friends to wander along the old highway and some byways. We completed it over two days with ozglory joining us for the first day out and only bobbiesgirl and I on the second. Great weather both days made for 2 great days of caching. Thanks so much to both COs for placing this series for us to enjoy and remember the not Forgotten Highway!
Due to the weather starting to look a little ominous and traffic getting busier, we finished our day yesterday at the Valla Beach Intersection. Today, leaving ozglory behind as they had already finished the series joojoo57 and I came back today to finish it off for ourselves. This time we started at the southern end which was the obvious choice after some of yesterday's adventures . Again, the generic nature of the found it logs in no way detracts from my enjoyment and appreciation of the time and effort that goes into placing these trails.
Found at 2:55 PM GAFF 1.
Well - the CO certainly doesn't like to hide a cache in a traditional manner does he
Thanks Anissa288.

LOL, this was not in the first place we looked. Making a last minute run to get that blasted turtle. Thank goodness for all the new caches. 3459 10:49:00 AM Anissa288 without cachers like you we would have no game. Thank you. TNLN SL
