We are on a one week holiday road trip from Sydney to Brisbane to Sydney, with pre-booked accommodation at the Ingenia White Albatross Holiday Park in Nambucca Heads, the Big4 NRMA Treasure Island Holiday Resort on the Gold Coast, the Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort in Yamba, and the Big4 Leisure Tourist Park in Port Macquarie. Planning to collect some caches around our accommodation stays, and also stop-off for some targeted caches along the M1 Pacific Motorway route. Photos will be uploaded to logs after our return to home base.Today we drove from Nambucca Heads to Biggera Waters on the Queensland Gold Coast, starting the day with some more Nambucca Heads caches, then collecting numerous caches along Giinagay Way, before heading northward along the M1 Pacific Motorway. Stopped for a break at Little Italy, where we completed a five stage Adventure Lab, before continuing on to the Gold Coast. This was the 5th of 17 finds for the day (day 2), and 16th find of the holiday. This one was next, as we drove north along Giinagay Way, and it was a nice quick find on arrival at GZ. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC Nudge74.Find #7174
TFTCA quick dive off the main drag during a meal break, to grab a cache for a souvenir. All is good at this one.
Cache is obviously still there as it has been found recently removing the maintenance required. If the cache goes missing however, I am not in the area any more to maintain the cache. if some local cacher is happy to adopt it, I am happy for them to do so.
Felt awkward doing this one as so much traffic is looking right at you.My wife said you look so suspicious it's a wonder the police don't come.Anyway cache signed and replaced. Took five minutes but sometimes you can't see what is right in front of you.TFTCIronbark.
In the area this weekend for a wedding. Today was out day to explore and find some caches.Cheers
Last full day in Nambucca Heads, so doing an arvos caching, with mixed results. Glad to find this one! TFTC
We are now heading north to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria. Today I was grabbing some of this series, as I meandered my way to Coffs Harbour. Thought this was a great way to tour the old highway and would be a great alternative but I can't say they were my favorite type of caches, as who like to have to find a micro in the bush.
Found after a short search, once at GZ.
Thanks Nudge74 for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

On a round trip. Sydney - Nambucca Heads over night - Dorrigo for lunch with friends then on to Tamworth for some music. After two DNF's in Nambucca I thought I was losing my cache touch so glad to find this one. TFTC Nudge74
Found with nissan65 on our way to an event at Sawtell. Thankyou for your contribution to geo caching
Thought this one was going to hard to grab but turned out to be a quick and easy find.

No luck, but did find a very obvious spot for a cache that was "empty". Might need a check-over from the owner.
No luck here today gave it a good look with long grass and heavy traffic, I can just imagine the passing conversations
Found -- Thanks for bringing us to this location and Thanks for the hunt *Nudge74*.
Headed up to *Port* for a quick visit of my sibling. I have been keen to tackle this series as it looked like a great drive and I hoped it to be easy so I could keep time with my estimated arrival. Even if my arrival was not quite to time I figured I could grab the remainder on the way back through. This series didn't disappoint. I really enjoyed the drive and finding the caches.
We signed the log in either our names or our initials in some switcheroo form of LP, DJJ, ToC and then returned cache to its hide'y hole exactly as found.

Floating around while the others use their amazing skills to find the cache, well, not much help was needed, *Throsbynchurch* had things well under control. Log signed and replaced and the scene evacuated OCW *Throsbyonchurch* and *DustyJasperJet*. TFTC! Your efforts in placing and maintaining this cache is much appreciated.

Vertically challenged had to feel for this one as could not see there . Tftc
After being locked up in the caravan yesterday getting cabin fever, we managed to get the washing done today and headed out around the Macksville area. We were abut six into our caching day when the heavens opened up, so we headed home stopping for fish and chips for lunch. By the time we had finished the skies cleared so we headed out in the other direction towards Valla Bch for a few more. Nice day with the 'Bloodhound' AKA Geowife managing to bag a few of the trickier ones without my assistance. It's about time she pulled her weight caching.

Found with JessYoung96 26/1/2020 on a journey to Port Macquarie.
Really easy find as we had done these ones before back in and around Coffs Harbour. But nice find and good location nonetheless.
Apologies for my finger in the attached photo, we were in a rush and time-constrained to get to Port Macquarie.

I'm starting to dread this type of hide, it brings on the worst cache blindness. [xx(] It should be easy....like where else is the cache going to be... ? But after looking all over I still hadn't found it. Eventually MrG decided he'd better lend a hand and no, I didn't purposely wait till he got to GZ before saying 'found it', it just happened that way. This hide blends in way too well. TFTC Nudge74.
Hoping to find a couple of caches today although parking in a truck could be a challenge,no worries here.TFTC
I think it took as much time to cross the road each time as it did to find the cache. while all the caches so far in this series have been small, their placements have been varied which is nice. tftc
Last day in Nambucca Heads of our driving caching holiday, and the only day that I have gone caching here. I only had an hour free, so had to collect as many as possible. Ended up being an hour and a half, with 6 find, 1 Earth Cache and 1 DNF.
Fortunately the only car to pass me was as I was parking. Otherwise I wonder what they would have thought with seing legs behind the sign.
Thanks for the cache Nudge74

I haven't forgotten this highway
It is the only version of the Pacific Highway I have ever driven along
The new motorway is new since me last visit to Nambucca,
and I am in no hurry to try it out [^]
At least the olde and familiar road is so much nicer to travel now !!
And so much better to find caches along [^]

Travelled down the coast to venture out with friends to wander along the old highway and some byways. We completed it over two days with ozglory joining us for the first day out and only bobbiesgirl and I on the second. Great weather both days made for 2 great days of caching. Thanks so much to both COs for placing this series for us to enjoy and remember the not Forgotten Highway!
Due to the weather starting to look a little ominous and traffic getting busier, we finished our day yesterday at the Valla Beach Intersection. Today, leaving ozglory behind as they had already finished the series joojoo57 and I came back today to finish it off for ourselves. This time we started at the southern end which was the obvious choice after some of yesterday's adventures . Again, the generic nature of the found it logs in no way detracts from my enjoyment and appreciation of the time and effort that goes into placing these trails.
Found at 3:20 PM GAFF 1.
These clear plastic tubes are sometimes a bit tricky to spot! Also getting to these roads with my out of date GPS map is a bit of a challenge as well.
Thanks Nudge74.

Making a last minute run to get that blasted turtle. Thank goodness for all the new caches. 3463 11:19:00 AM Nudge74 without cachers like you we would have no game. Thank you. TNLN SL

Have made camp at Macksville rest stop. We headed back north to do another section of the forgotten highway. We had 1 DNFs a number of FTFas well. Co-ords seem to be quiet good. I can imagine all the hard work that went into placing this series & then the frustration of waiting for them to be published.
