Thanks for the cache, recently found during an overnight caching trip in the Shepparton area.No issues finding the cache, or collecting required information; I've no idea what the 'attraction' to rusty artwork is either.

Out and about with omegaman, Happy feet and Happy Pants, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. Cache replaced with CO permission. Thanks locus cache for the cache.

No luck finding the cache today with Bogonghazy. Suspect it has been affected by the flooding

Out with LittleBoss2 on a hot hot Sunday. Thanks for placing Locus Cache, but a 15 Min search wasn't enough to locate your cache

Well personally i liked the rusty artwork here and i enjoyed the puzzle but the coordinates i came up with failed to reveal a cache. Unfortunately my muggle friend was getting restless so i had to move along.

The Trip.
A muggle friend was visiting Shepparton today to see a man about a dog, literally! They asked if i would like to come along for morale support and to share the drive, i jumped at the chance so long as i could find a few caches along the way. With that sorted i set about creating a short list of caches from the many available. I came up with thirteen which helped me achieve various goals and was about as many as i could reasonably expect my friend to tolerate before getting bored.

Out solo this morning after doing some chores in Shepparton. Pretty sure we had the right information but we could not spot this one.

25-Feb-23
Driving around with a car full of kids...
Can we play music they said, sure I replied...
There went my peace and quiet.
As I am gathering the info for the coordinates I could barely hear myself thinking.
Lucky for me, the closer I walked to GZ, the more quiet it became.
No paper log so I signed the bag!

TBS and I had ventured out here a few weeks ago, not long after I had arrived back in Shepparton after being away for 19 years. I had solved the multi but unfortunately gz was under water.
Last week I was out on my morning walk so thought I would try my luck and see where the water was at. Fortunately the water had receded but unfortunately once at gz I realised I had no pen. Maybe if I had opened the cache then and there I would have seen there was a writing tool.
After a restless night I thought I would head out early on my walk and to try and avoid the moving sticks.
TBS had sent me some info on snakes, how to avoid them, what to look for ect.
As I turn down the road I see water and hear frogs (definitely a sign of snakes) As I make the walk to gz I see a dead snake on the road. $&@# comes out of my mouth, hate to think what I would say when I eventually come across a live one. I grab the biggest stick I can find, sing out loud and head to gz ( this time with my pen).
I am very pleased to say that the cache was intact and the log was completely dry.
Log signed and a sweet goodbye to my little friend and I was out of there in a flash.
TFTC although terrifying for me,it was still fun

Everybody love rusty metal.

e.Gregory1 and Freddo decided to travel to Wangaratta for Geocaching Victoria’s first 2022 Mega event. The attraction of GeoMaze icon was just too tempting. We packed the Land Cruiser for a bubble environment. There would be some public exposure but we would be keeping it minimal. Fortunately we did not bother with any warm clothes. Fortunately we packed some Bushmans with +20% DEET. There were caches to find and we found caches. We saw a lot of interesting places and met the occasional geocacher or two in the field.

I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.

This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

Found as I made my way from Adelaide to the Mega event at Wangaratta with Freddo.

We meandered our way across northern Victoria, camping along the river and generally avoiding contact with other people as far as possible to minimise covid risks. We targeted some specific caches of interest, but also took the opportunity to find other caches opportunistically as we were passing.

The required information was quickly collected and the cache was soon found a short distance away.

Thank locus cache for the cache.

Great little multi, I much prefer quick single waypoint multi's over a traditional, otherwise I probably wouldn't have even targeted this one! But it was a worthy place to stop and check out the artwork!

There were some people fishing nearby, but the cache was well away from them by the time I had worked out coordinates.

Thanks locus cache! I'll give this a favourite point, mainly because I was really impressed with the set-up at GZ. It is very rare to see this type of container and secured this way anywhere in NSW or ACT from the many I have found, so was pretty impressed by it! Thanks for the effort!

Knocked off work and it was too nice an afternoon to stay inside. My poor partner was a little worse for ware as he had some minor surgery today, but was still itching to get out and about and be chauffeured and looked after with more tlc than usual. He navigated me to this multi. It was not just any multi, it was created by our good friend LC, and it was born to commemorate his 50th birthday. What a special honour. Loved the little guardian who has protected this cache for three years and no doubt will be there for many more to come.

Staying in Shepparton for a few days with the kids and SMS83 and her kids. We hit up some unfound caches as we explored the town and ventured further afield. Thanks for the cache (BTW we all love the cows)!

In town to do a spot of shopping, decided to find this cache to fill a date on the cache calendar. What a awesome spot. I always knew of Reedy Swamp, but never visited til now, and I was surprised but the amount of bird life that was on the water, and of course in the air. Great little multi. Thanks for bringing me to this hidden gem locus cache

We had organised a weekend away with my closest caching mates omegaman1971 and Happy Feet and we decided on Shepparton as our caching target for a few days and this was one of several multis we tackled out this side of town. After grabbing the required information, one in particular had us double checking but we soon had a reasonable set of co-ord's and set off and after a searching about we came up with the hide. Thanks locus cache for the interesting little multi and the hide.

Away for the weekend with Happy pants and omegaman1971. We were heading to Shepparton to do some caching, in an area we hadn't been before.
Many laughs and fun were had over the time, along with a variety hides found in some different areas.
We had a second look at the numbers before coming up with some likely co-ords. Once we arrived at GZ a quick find was made.
Thanks locus cache for placing the cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy the find.

In town with Happy Feet and Happy pants trying to escape the COVID-19 craziness back home.
Had a awesome day full of laughs and finding some great caches.
Unfortunately we did have some DNF's.
After expanding our search area we soon had the log stamped.
Logging as Happy man.
Cheers for the fun cache.

Found by Mary and David at 13:00. Thought we might have seen you at the Event this ,morning. After lunch and a trip to the SPC Outlet, it was time for a few caches . A lovely spot for this great little multi. Birds in the trees, birds on the water, and birds on the islands. Plenty of water here, and a true green oasis. A good sized cache, a little brain exercise equals a FP from us. Loved the cache guardian, too. Our thanks to locus cache.

Had just enough time to grab a cache in between babysitting duties. Had been here ages ago with papi but now I am back here to sign it myself. I love this type of artwork and have a couple similar examples myself. Thanks for the cache and bringing us back here.

I can tell it's been awhile this this cache was last found. The spikeyy camo is literally a spider nest. Eeeppp.. still an enjoyable area though. Log found to be all in good order. Thanks for the cache!

After spending last night at my good friend o.kay's place, we headed out to Reedy Swamp early this morning to admire some rusty ?artwork? Counted carefully then a short walk later found the cache. Thanks for a quick multi in a very pleasant area locus cache

I am not at all sure why my parents ever sent me to school as, apparently, I still cannot count and nor can hubby. We did the simple math and went to our calculated GZ to find, nothing. We returned to the original and tried our counting again and found our error. SL TFTC

Working in Shep for two weeks and picking up some caches when the opportunity is there. Needed some cobwebs blown out from between the ears after todays shift so I shot out here.
Completed the waypoint calcs and crunched my way to the very dry undergrowth to look for the critter.
A quick sign of the log and on to the next.
Thanks for the evenings therapy.

Another trip out after a long day at work but it was a nice warm afternoon so why not. A few multi's to find was on the agenda today. I was a bit surprised to see this artwork at this location as it doesn't seem to be seen much. After working out the maths, I was able to make a quick find on the cache. Nice guardian here.

**Thanks to locus cache for hiding this cache for us to find and enjoy**

Over in Shepparton again to see a Mate [and to visit Shepp / Mooroopna of course] it was decided today was the day to go for this new(ish) Multi Smile

Off in the GeoMobile to an area of Shepp I am fond of... The Reedy Swamp [^]
Got to the listed co-ords and did the necessary calculations and then I was off on a short walk to GZ. {I could easily put a house here and live on this road no problem at all [^] Wink}

What an awesome cache, that was well guarded Big Grin.

Please accept a Favourite Point for this one, I loved it.

Took one of the 3 remaining small metal Motorcycles [^] and left some animal swag for the Geokids Wink SL at 09:53 on Tue 13 Nov. 2018 and re-hid well Wink

All is good and dry within the cache Smile TFTC locus cache Smile

Find #9856

Today I was on a mission. Not only was it multi no trad day, it was also old cache day. After some initial debate between leafotwind and myself as to what should and should not be counted, we eventually agreed and coords were soon confirmed by the CO. No issue with the cache here, all in good order and a very cool cache fond at GZ.

Many thanks to locus cache for the cache. TNLN.

After having attended the nearby event and found a couple of caches we finally caught up to the CO at this spot. I believe Rex had had a thorough bit of exercise as ahomburg and I had found a couple of multis between the last time we saw locus cache and her loyal companion and this point Big Grin
After having our attention drawn to the artwork, ahomburg and I proceeded to compile the information. I think we overthought it but eventually resolved the values sufficiently to calculate GZ. We chose to walk down with the CO accompanying us. I noticed something at GZ but initially dismissed it as ahomburg had passed by it and was a little further along the path. He often has quite a good knack for taking the shortest route to GZ in a bush setting. Sometimes however detail is lost and it was after not having found anything at his preferred spot that I returned to that which I initially thought was a live example of the creature depicted. Not so, just very, very well placed.
I had a bit of a prod and push and the rest of the setup was revealed. What a bit of creativity and expense has been gone to, to provide us finders with an enjoyable experience. I think it's worth a favourite point for all of these reasons and of course finding the artwork in the first place! Thanks, locus cache!

We have been down this road before and noticed all these lovely rusty artworks. So nice to have a reason to examine them much more closely today to determine the final location for this cache. What a pleasant surprise is to be found at GZ and very artistic also! SL at 3pm Took: motorbike charm Left: Look Twice geocoin - also to do with motorbikes. #5747 TFTC locus and good to catch up earlier in the day.

With a last minute decision to spend the night in Shepparton, we did a quick map search to pick out a dozen or so caches to grab. Obviously, this one made the cut !! The weather wasn't too bad, even though it was cold, the rain held off. We had a blast on our lightning visit to the area. We didn't get all caches that we planned, so a return trip is in order.
What a great little spot this turned out to be. Projected some numbers and headed off to gz. Got quite the surprise here, I love it. A fave point from us. TFTC locus cache Big Grin
