We waited until after the new traffic light construction zone finished but still only a magnet suggesting a MIA cache…
Cache has gone missing, likely muggled. Has had a good run, will not replace.
In the area today and was in the need for a short walk. Parked close by and wandered over to this one and found that spiders seem to like this hidey hole as well.
Quick find after removing the spider webs.
Thanks for the hide charlotteleclerc

A nice quick find on this one as I was nearby playing another game. Log signed and cache replaced as found.

Awesome placement! Was looking around with my camera as my 4”9 body couldnt find. Eventually jumped high enough!
This one took me a solid 10 mins! Had to see it with my phone Camera but then reached and got it! Smart hide, tftc!:))
Boxing Day morning, and the weather was cool, and thunderstorms forcast for the afternoon, so we decided to head out an pick up a couple of suburbs for the Canberra Mapping Challenge. Today was Weston and Stirling - the final two in the Weston Creek/Molonglo valley area.
This one was an easy find, I spotted it in a likely spot as I walked up. The log was signed, and the cache is fine. The statues were also interesting, I've been past them a hundred times, but never up close, and there's lots of cool detail in them.

Nice to collect this one on a quiet morning. Found with Kittykatch and isopeda. Tftc
Barb2e Kittykatch Joolay and I decided to do some low muggle caching early on Christmas morning and met up at 6 am in Woden.
TFTC and Merry Christmas!

Been avoiding this one for a while, but today it was time to bit the bullet and give it a go. No issues whatsoever though and the cache was soon in hand...and the log signed. From there i was back to the car and off to tuggers for a few more.
Thanks charlotteleclerc....not sure why I was baulking at this one.

I've been meaning to take a short walk from Coolemon shopping centre & check out this artwork for a long time now, but only got to it today. I thought I'd be more exposed to the traffic, but it wasn't too bad, and the clever hint helped make a quick find.
TNLN - Thanks charlotteleclerc!

This week consisted of getting away from work early enough to visit a cache, either on my scooter or driving, to try and continue building up my calendar finds days. Some days needed a specific cache type as well. This week was nice weather wise and made for a pleasant afternoon.
As the day had got late and Coppins crossing was closed, I had to take the long way round. All very busy at the shops, but no problems at these interesting statues. I think I like this better than the owl.
Thanks.

Spotted this last week when strolling without a pen, dumb, back today for the signing ceremony, tftc
All good here, but the erecting of these items would seem to go against the artist’s views about environmental issues.
Out this way for a driving lesson with Chocolistick03. We stopped and grabbed this one to break up the drive. We made some assumptions based on the terrain rating but quickly determined that our assumptions were wrong. It took a little while, but we eventually spotted it. I am fairly tall and it was out of my reach. We set to climbing and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC charlotteleclerc.
After a long day of caching, I needed this one to get me to 300 in one day. Now for home. TFTC
I was close by and took the short walk to the GZ where I really did feel short. TFTH
A very clever hint and Loki's bouldering antics proved valuable in the extraction. Nice sculpture to highlight with a cache! TFTC
Found with Aquilus1, DTY73 and TE after a quick lunch following the tunnel of terror cache. Luckily there was someone with enough of the length to reach and cache was quickly in hand, signed and returned. I actually had not noticed the caches before so very interesting. TFTC
Having successfully wallowed through the drains in the morning, with dty73, joolay and Tankengine we continued on for an afternoon of south side caching... complete with our still wet and no doubt very smelly feet! Not wanting to walk to far with our wet shoes, it was just a few easy from the car caches. A good opportunity to collect a few long overdue caches in the area.
After lunch nearby where there was a distinct bad smell (maybe us?) we walked up to this cache. I have been wanting to get to this one for such a long time but had noted the potential height issue. Indeed it was a problem and although I could touch the cache with my fingertips it was firmly attached and I needed someones long arms to reach. Long arms we had with us and the log was soon, and finally signed! Thanks for the cache charlotteleclerc.

A very exposed location here. And really no reason to be here either. Wish I'd had a notepad and a high vis vest.
Luckily enough it was a quick find and I didn't look like a shag on a rock for to long.
BTW. This sculpture is pretty cool. Love how all the cats eyes and glass bits are spread throughout.
Fun little cache. Thanks for the find.

Stopped off for some beer and wandered over here for a quick find. You wouldn't want to be too short!

I had an errand to run in Western Creek. I was just doing some caching here the other day, but still lota left ao I was happy to get the chance to clean up a bit more, while using the last of the noce sunlight today.
Was waiting for some food to pick up. Last cache in the area. Was already impressed but the last two containers coloring and here yet another perfectly matched mint tin. I love these well matched containers. The place was also pretty cool. It was dark now but even during the day I had not noticed this cool art work. A very nice hiding place. Thanks for all the effort in these suburbs. A FAVpoint for place and container.
Thank you charlotteleclerc for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Yes, Decrypter and I found this after a 'short walk'. I couldn't reach it though - too far in; Decrypter had to reach it. I found the terrain rating too low.

When cricket was over this evening, took “a short walk” to pick this one up. Interesting art that I’ve driven past often and not taken much notice of until tonight. Thanks for making me stop and take a look!
The goal for today was to collect as many remaining suburbs as possible, and a few extras to make the day more interesting. TFTC!
Day 16: Clear Waters Mega Trip
The plan for today is picking up random suburbs, adventure and mega labs and other exciting random things.
Thanks charlotteleclerc for being part of my Clear Waters adventure.

Had to stretch for this one whilst attempting to be stealthy with all the weekend traffic. It would have been very entertaining to watch. Got there with some precise timing and a bit of luck! Found whilst waiting for andaguest to finish up at our meeting. Thanks for the cache.
A few quick finds this morning as I got up an hour earlier then planned. Still dark so a torch was needed, but that made the finds easier I think.

Luckily tall enough to reach.
Retrieved the cache accidentally threw the cache with a 8 legged cache guardian. Cache is back in its hiding place without its guardian

Had some time for a catch up with Takibi today so we took in some light urban caching. noted the requirement for a tall friend and thankfully Takibi is most definitely taller than me. This one entailed a quick walk and a sudden drop. I figured out what the clue meant and Takibi did the honours (being taller). I was not paying that much attention as I was looking at my GPS to log it when she suddenly threw the cache to the ground. No a hint of sound, but I did see the rather large huntsman scurrying away. We just looked at each other and burst out laughing, half freaked (neither of us are overly good with spiders). Those who know me may find it surprising that this totally made my day.
Luckily for me I managed to retrieve this hidden cache with a little of natures intervention. SL TFTC
By gee, by jingo, by crikey, I found it. Came over here in search of this cache after the nearby CITO. It was surprisingly higher up than expected but not out of reach. I've since met the CO at a subsequent event and now I'm intrigued as to how they managed to place the cache in the first place! TFTC
I've ducked out for a quick cache, taking a little time out of my busy day. Nice artwork. Good hide. Thanks for this one.
Finally converted this lonely green dot to a smiley. Quick find, timed for the lights & traffic flow TFTC!
We drive past this every day. What a cool piece of Canberra art that looks even better up close. TfTC.
Fun cache, we just came from the Trenerry square cache. We’re almost at one hundred! Thanks for the cache!
Walked up from the shops. A nice sculpture. Good hide and nice camo to suit. No problem reaching this one.
Thanks,
Thanks,
Finished work, stayed back to send some email re my ongoing argument with Comcare, decided I needed some Geocaching Therapy... and remembered that I think I had seen a new one pop up near where I work... (there have been a few new caches around here lately, that seem to get published, and immediately found by one of the usual suspects, either when I am too busy at work to be able to leave to find them, or when I am not at, or even anywhere near work...)
So... I looked on the map and oh - one even closer than the one I was thinking of - one just up the road... So I found that ... then I needed to stop at the shops to buy a couple of things ... so, figured I may as well grab this one as well - seeing it was the one I had originally been thinking of coming to find - lol
TFTC - about time I got this one - I drive past it on my way to work every day (and most days on my way home again) ... Yes, it is one of the better items of street art (but then I am also the only person I have heard of who actually likes the twisted metal wreck where the GDE crosses the Barton Hwy - which I heard someone, on the radio today, refer to as "the memorial to the bridge collapse" - lol) ... Cache found in the second place I looked (and the first place I looked was silly - I knew that would be too easy to be true) ... discovered I was just tall enough to ... feel it ... but not actually quite be able to remove it without the aid of something useful I found nearby ... signed and replaced ok, and on my way - off home for dinner, and an early night ... I think I only got around to having the first one of those 2 things ... lol

#8482 - 12:25; After running an errand to the south side of town, I thought I'd try and collect a few of the newer caches in the area which had appeared since my last visit. I spotted a likely hide for this cache as I drove into the shopping precinct and after grabbing another of the CO's caches neraby, I took the short walk to GZ. Managed to make the grab on the first attempt here TFTC charlotteleclerc
I've driven past this sculpture many times, but have never had a close-up look. It's kinda nifty - I don't mind it.
The cache was found quite readily due to my approach from just the right direction. Otherwise the cache blended in quite well. Colour matching of the cache to its surrounds seems to be the trademark of this CO!

F(H)ound it! #2810 @ 2:35 PM
Stopped by after the Ridgeo-pup's Noseworks class in Duffy.
We love Canberra street art. And this is a very clever and simple hide.
I retrieved it easily enough but had to wait a while before I could return it because there was so many cars stopped at the intersection. But this gave me time to get a photo of the RP with the walkers.
Thanks for cache, charlotteleclerc

Cache 4008 on 14 Aug 2018
After a pretty ordinary couple of weeks at work, and with such a lovely day forecast, I decided I needed a day off to reset my thinking. And what a better way to do that than with a few caches. Quite a few caches had popped up in my previously cleared out areas, so I made those my initial goal for the day. Who knows where my caching will take me today!
Unless otherwise noted, all caches were found in good order and according to any hints provided.
I planned a short walk, and after a short walk and a short stretch, I had the cache in hand. Glad the traffic was light today. Nice sculptures!
Thanks charlotteleclerc for the cache and the fun!

Last one of the day for me and, of course, the last place I checked! TFTC charlotteleclerc
Tftc. With Mrs jaybeem reading the description to me over the phone as I walked to GZ, she was chuckling as she’s also five foot nothing. Luckily I’m six feet.
So I get to Baitong (the super awesome Lao restaurant) at Coolo, and they tell me it will be another 10 minutes.... no worries, I know what I can do in the meantime.
Strolled up to this in the dark, there was a handy tool on the ground, likely left by another cacher, and I set about searching the likely spots.
Great spot for a cache, full marks and a favourite from me!

Have never driven past or noticed this piece of artwork before! Good to see a cache that highlight's it, I think every piece of art in Canberra deserves one as there are so many that I never knew existed until Geocaching!
I thought the title of this cache meant that it was a short walk from the parking area! Because that was very accurate too! Parked at Cooleman Court and after finding the cache there this was only a short walk away!
After searching two of the figures and half of the third the cache was finally uncovered. Not too many places to look but had to be the last spot!
Thanks for highlighting this artwork and for the cache
