Find # 8897In Longreach for QOGM2023! Finally made it So much planning and work goes into organising this fabulous event and it is definitely worthwhile coming to the central west for the incredible caching adventure. In the trails with some of the usual suspects and it never ceases to amaze me the generosity of the caching community. A huge thanks for all the fun and shenanigans along the way. Great adventures were had in spite of the challenges, not all geocaching ones either, and we all enjoyed a good tale or two. This was a quick and easy find and here at Polo no more GZ today. Thanks so much for the many caches MrsRoosta and of course for giving me a reason and incentive to get out here, and to experience this part of the world in a different light

Its hard to picture this as a polo ground, as overgrown as it is! Found quickly at GZ dangling outside its hiding place and replaced where it ought to be, based on the hint. Found while visiting Longreach Shire during QOGM 2023. TFTC, MrsRoosta. =^.^=
Thanks MrsRoosta for this cache. I used to reckon there were probably only two sports not played in my city - polo and water polo, not that I ever wanted to play either, but I enjoy watching both. The cache was found this morning in good condition and was left with two additional names on the log, icybeetas and mine.

This is our last time that we will get to experience a QOGM adventure. We will never be able to thank the QOGM committee and others anywhere near enough for all their hard work they do to make these events with all the associated caches that go along with it so enjoyable. We have watched each year as the numbers have grown and have read the will attend logs mentioning that as they have never had the chance to make it to one of these that they have made certain to attend this one as it is the last. We have attended 4 missing out on one due to COVID.The caches, as usual, have been a joy to do and have added to the experience when planning the trip of outback Queensland. The puzzles have helped us to learn a lot more about the area we are visiting. All caches that we have found have had good co-ords and are in good condition. SL TFTC
Well my trip up to QOGM has officially started and I’m taking the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there.
So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so after heading west and making it to Longreach time for a break from the travelling.
Today is an event at Stonehenge so I got up early to do a few caches before heading out there.
I wonder how the town supported polo as it was an outback town.
More like cattle sports I think
Thanks MrsRoosta TFTC.
