For our regular Sunday public transport caching adventures, and in an attempt to avoid the Sydney Marathon mayhem in the city, today we headed out to Stanhope Gardens in Sydneys North West for a few Traditional caches located within the suburb. Caught a 280 bus to Chatswood and a Metro train to Kellyville Metro Station, where we then walked over the Old Windsor Road pedestrian overpass bridge to reach Stanhope Gardens. After a few hours strolling the suburbs streets & parks for the caches, with a stop-off at Reserve 620 (park) to enjoy our pre-packed picnic lunch, it was back to Kellyville Metro Station to catch a Metro train back to Chatswood, then a 280 bus back to home. This was the 4th of 4 finds for the day.Our last cache stop for the day was here at this one, and it took a little longer than expected to find, but we eventually uncovered the hide and had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced the very familiar cache camo as it had been found. It's a really interesting "Hagrid's Wand" umbrella artwork that's located in the nearby roundabout, with a couple of singular examples towering over GZ.Now it's time for us to head back to Kellyville Metro Station to catch a Metro train back to Chatswood for the commencement of our homeward journey. Avenged my previous DNF of this one. Surprisingly easy this time around haha must've looked right over it the first time!
Thought this one wouldve been a quick one based on the rating but after looking around and foraging, no luck...
Having a morning out caching with the wife catching up on a few new caches in our area. 1st of the day, interesting umbrellas on the roundabout here. Quick find by the wife. Thanks for maintaining the Cache.
Decided to do a few geocache this morning. This is our first, quick find, I love those umbrellas they look nice. Quick find, did the signing duties and replaced as found. TFTC
Didnt look for very long- but the past 4 people said they couldnt find it and so we gave up ahaha
Didn't find this one. Admittingly, we could not perform an extensive search, since the muggles living just across were too interested in what we were doing.
TFTC was well hidden did end up going through bushes b4 I looked for more obvious locations
being early for a nearby Cito GeoIan and I stopped for a few caches in the area. I love harry Potter , so it was really cool to see the umbrella's here . what a clever way to tie in with the theme. GeoIan made the find . Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
Parked in the nearby church, and walked across. Busy road for early Sunday. Checked the size, and saw micro, so instantly think its a magnetic. Searched the structures in the gz, but came up empty handed. Might Minions, read some logs, and said a magic word, which changed the search criteria, and soon had cache in hand. TFTC.

I don't often come out this way and I'm really not sure why not -- it's a lovely area to explore. Today I was out cycling and decided to pick up a few caches along the way. It's fun to break the cycling activity with some other things ... I wasn't in any particular hurry.
I really liked the "umbrellas"; I'm wondering whether I've actually noticed them before. If I have, I've forgotten. Traveling on a bicycle one has much more time to take in things.
At first I was going to approach from the road side, but then thought that the cache probably would have been hidden with a safer approach in mind. It was a quick find, fortunately. I guess it helps having a little bit of experience and recognising the hide when one sees it.
A fun series of hides, with a few more that I still need to come seek out.

We are re logging our finds as we had to reload the apps. So not sure if it is still here but was a really fun one with the kids

I was out on a day of bike riding and picking up some caches for the Signal's Labyrinth promotion.
An easy find although my GPSr pointed to the other one but that didn't matter. Log now has my moniker on it. Time for a coffee.
Thanks for the geo-fun Shoes Fam.

Went for a cache check bike ride this afternoon, starting with Hagrid's Wand, which was a bit damp but in pretty good condition. We tried to dry it out a bit.
Loved it! Thank you Sensible Shoes:)
Log is unfortunately completely soaked.

Companions: None
Muggles: A few passing by
Weather: Lovely summer morning
Cache condition: Good
10th and final find for the morning! It is a weird bit of public-art, but I like it. I parked as close as I could and ambled over to GZ, where I found the container in a logical place. TNLNSL, TFTC (and all of the HP-inspired caches )

2nd on this new log the bag could gona change it was a home for an ant colony so be careful. great find for the kids, thanks for help from past peeps only our 2nd find so enjoying the experience
Took a while to find, we came up with the absurd idea to start digging a hole, dunno why. Eventually we found it thanks to a clue from the activity log and a pat geogacher who had gone that way before
Had to replace the log as the others were saturated. I did not have a new bag but I recommend a new one if the owner is near by.
TFTC!

This Sunday afternoon I decided to visit the area of Stanhope Gardens and Kings Langley to convert some of the green dots into yellow smileys on my cache map.
This is Shoes' territory, so of course I had to find a few. This one was the last one for the day.
I guess it is time for me to read Harry Potter or at least watch a movie as I have no clue about all the titels and what they mean. Good thing Channel 7 repeats the whole Harry Potter collection every six months.

first geocache ever. my friend and i were bored after visiting the shops so we decided to go up and see if we could find it. it was a very easy find but really fun and we didn’t have a pen so we left a little smell sticker.
Was mad fun, not to easy but not extremely hard , quite obvious once you find it
#5230-Out with thomo31. Whenever I see a 1D, I make it harder than it needs to be. thomo31 spotted it. Thanks
Found with WaywardWoman while caching in the area. A short search and cache was found. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
Found early on a beautiful Wednesday morning. Love Harry Potter so this series is exciting. Found straight away as approached at just the right angle. Cache had old log and new log. Perfect location for Hagrid’s wand/umbrella. And thank you for the location of the cache !!
