Mr Morris has a few weeks off but with border restrictions we thought we'd do a slow lap of Victoria while we had some good weather. With the van in tow we didn't try and stop as we travelled.

After 3 nights in Brim and a couple in Woomelang we headed to Piangal for a few nights. We spent a short day around Nyah and surrounds.

We have find a coffee cup, a thermos and a canteen today. Cool!

*** Our 900th find ***

Taken a while considering the totals amassed by friends we have made in the last 17 years caching. But we only cache on trips these days.

This is the last place I'd have expected a pedestrian while caching. Long chat with a local who was taken with the idea of caching. Given she'd already taken photos of our vehicle as we were acting suspiciously we explained our reason without giving up the cache. That's caching.

Found during our COVID 2020 Murray River trip. While Melbourne was in a state of turmoil rural Victoria was still okay, and with 4 weeks leave, and all the borders closed we decided the only warmish place in Vic was going to be as north as we could get. After a decade or so travelling north and west we started on the trips we'd left til later - the Murray River. Starting from East Gippsland we got to Wemen out of Robinvale before they announced Victoria was going back into Stage 3. Now we're working our way back home and avoiding Melbourne. Found this along the way. TFTC. DJ

Found a while ago such a great idea of container. Not too far from GZ

No need for motorised chicanery here [:o]
A simple stroll from the cemetery got me to GZ Big Grin
Who'd a thought ??!!
Something as simple as feet,
could achieve what a polluting,
noisy, scenery destroying machine could do at far greater expense !! [:o]

Suscoe was out and about today enjoying the sunshine of the Swan Hill region.
It was a cold morning with temperatures around zero but the day turned out to be perfect with little or no wind and clear skies all day long.
We were impressed with the ever changing countryside with the town, orchards, crops, grazing animals, the river, beautiful trees and green pastures.
We found a good range of caches and enjoyed the finds.

Thanks to cazbott for this hide, all good here today.

Back in the cemetery I set up for the night ready to camp, a short walk to this one, took a bit of searching as it was so dark, a good cache.

A huge weekend away, with over 2000km being driven over 3 days from Adelaide to Mansfield via swan hill and Echuca, then return via Bendigo and St Arnaud. The target was to collect 11 new local government areas and mostly stop and do some multis.

But the main goal was tour of Mansfield, a cycling tour consisting of 3 stages over 2 days (Saturday and Sunday).
Stage 1: 14km Individual time time trail.
Stage 2: 76km road race finishing up old Tolmie
Stage 3: 46km road race finishing up the top of mt bulla.

Wednesday I left Adelaide for Victoria via pinnaroo, I decided I would stop when I had enough of driving. I camped in the back of a cemetery yes a cemetery, nice and peaceful in Nyah. Thursday I made my way from Nyan to Mansfield via Swan Hill, Echuca and Shepparton with 2 trips over the boarder. A lot of DNFs on caches as some were barrow red off due to road works and others I must if stuffed up. I ended up camping the night in Mansfield. Friday I held my event in Mansfield with a big show of 1 (just myself)!!! And went for a drive up mt bulla. Saturday was mainly racing and Sunday after the race I made my way back to Adelaide via Victorias oldest cache and some new roads through the middle of victoria that I had never been on before.. With arrival on Monday at 1am back home. A big trip out and a great weekend away with a little under 100 finds.
Thanks for the cache placements by all the cache owners.

We don't have a 4WD so we parked as close as we could in the campervan. That meant we were in the cemetery next to the metal coffins!!!!! Guess they are used to size the holes as Mr Beetle had a look inside one and it was empty.
This one took a while to spot but even longer to get the log sheet out.
A nice set up though with a well protected log sheet.
Thanks.

A Silver Medal for us today. Beautiful day for a drive to Nyah West to find this new cache. Nice quick easy find as the cache was left out in the open. SL. TFTC. Thanks for bringing us to this location, never knew there were so many dirt tracks all around this area. Not enough room in the cache to leave anything. Thanks and cheers. Chow Chow.SmileSmileSmile
