The coordinates I worked out over and over here took me to a brick wall with a couple of holes, had to widen the search and find something that fitted the clue , bingo.TFTC
Found after a long wet day driving north and a meeting in town with some clients. Will be glad to at least get warmer as I continue heading northwards. The information was gathered easily enough and not too many options at GZ so got my hands on the cache in the failing light. Tftc Whitey Wiskas
Oh wow.We need to go back to Geocaching 101 school. We made such a mess of this cache. [:o)]First we failed at 'A' ... Reading the logs it seems that we are not the first to make the poor man a bridge. [xx(]BUT when we went back and realised our mistake we then failed to recalculate 'B'This made for 2 very uncomfortable searches in completely the wrong spots.! Epic fail on our behalf. So then we reached out to a friend and previous finder who said we had 'B' wrong which we couldsee how we had messed that up and off to a likely GZ. We even saw a potential hiding spot but no cachethere for us today.I wonder if we were even in the right spot after making such a hash of things.
After our travels it was time to sell our Matilda the campervan and settle down in Narrabri for few months. This weekend we did a little trip to Tamworth and had breakfast in cute cafe near by. This was just around the corner so we had to solve the coordinates and give it a go. Coordinates were a bit off but with hints we narrowed down potential spots and found the cache, thank you for it!
Making our way up to Queensland to visit relatives we stopped for a few days in a number of towns and could not go past collecting a few caches to the detriment of the muggle other half who had no interest and frowned when Mr Blackaddder spent too much time searching for plastic boxes. All caches were is good condition unless stated otherwise.Gathering the required information after finally finding the plaque we found that GZ was only a few meters from where we parked the geomobile. Using the hint we searced in the only possible places that were relevant to the hint and also searched either side as previous logs mentioned that it was a number of meters out. Giving up we had to send a message to th owner who advised where it was. The hint is still correct although we needed to search a different platform. Thank you to the CO for the extra hint.Thank you for the cache Whitey Wiskas Find Number 10725 on 14/04/2024
After nearly 7 weeks away visiting Adelaide for The Great Leap Forward and Canberra for the MEGA and as many other places and LGAs as possible we are on the last leg. Stayed in Tamworth last night before heading to Warwick so we can complete our list of wanted caches. This one took forever to find but eventually got it, signed log as Q3 before replacing as found. TFTC
On the road today. Signing logs as Q3.After some questioning about coordinates (I had the correct ones), the cache was found.Log signed and cache replaced as found on April 9, 2024. TFTC, Whitey Wiskas
Day of the last phase of our journey home. From Tamworth to Warwick with a few LGA stops on the way.Took way too long here. Cords were out. I have shortened the log sheet because of an undesirable drawing in the logs. Still room for more logs.Caching with and signing as the group 'Q3' and having a great day.TFTCache Whitey Wiskas
Another quick stop over and a nice park and grab on a Sunday as I make my way home to Queensland.Thank you, Whitey Wiskas, for the good multi and the neat hide at GZ
Muggle65 and l are working our way to the Canberra Mega. We chose this cache as a quick leg stretch. Thank you for a very fun cache
GreenGecko1 & I are heading to the GeoBash in Canberra and collecting the odd LGA on the way.Nice hide, log found, signed and returned.
Doing a boxing day shopping mission in town with geooma and pebbles. After a DNF last Christmas, the CO contacted me and gave me a big hint (which I could eventually make sense of while back at GZ) to make a quick find today. A nice multi cache to showcast an long gone historical detail that would otherwise be overlooked. Thank you Whitey Wiskas for putting the cache out and maintaining it and for the nudge, deserves a favorite point from us.
Found this nice Cache together with Flintstones doing some boxing day shopping in town. Thank you for putting it out and maintaining it Whitey Wiskas. A favorite for the history and helping us find it.
On a cache run in Tamworth picking up a few solved puzzles as well as some stray caches as we pass along the way. Stopped by and collected the needed information to calculate GZ. Walked over and began our search. Took a little while but then we elevated our position and eventually made the find. With the cache in hand, we signed the log then replaced everything as found. Found on a trip through western New South Wales and central Queensland to attend the QOGM at Longreach, then a return drive back to Adelaide via Brisbane, the north coast of NSW, central NSW and the Riverlands. Thanks for the cache Whitey Wiskas!
DAY 3
After much planning, saving and extra mods to the 4WD we are finally on our way to Longreach to take part in the QOGM festivities. We have just over a week to get there, so a route was planned to encompass uncharted LGA’s as we zig zag our way through NSW, as well as a slight detour to Coffs Harbour to visit family. Will we make it in time? Who knows, but we are going to give it a good shot.
With a copy of the plaque we worked out the numbers in the car before making our way to gz. Nothing really so we extended our search to find the cache hide approximately 5 metres from our workings out.
Thanks Whitey Wiskas for the multi placement.

After getting the info a while ago and not being able to find it returned today and with the help of the CO was able to have a quick find and even had my hand on it earlier and not realised. Thanks Whitey Wiskers for the cache and help.
We thought about this one overnight and had another location to consider, that is where the cache was, the coords were about 10m out for us today, and also yesterday which is why we didn't really consider it then. This time we were successful.
Thanks for the hide Whitey Wiskas.
Thanks for the hide Whitey Wiskas.
We called past here yesterday to gather the information and worked out a possible set of coordinates back at camp.
After stopping for some shopping we looked for this one and the coordinates put us in a possible spot that fitted the hint but it was clearly not correct, we will be back to try again.

Came back this morning to verify our numbers - all ok. Rechecked our indicated GZ. There are two spots fairly close together where the hint could apply, but we drew a blank at both. Will watch to see what happens with future visitors. Our thanks anyway to Whitey Wiskas.
Not sure if we were even in the right place. Thought our calculations were good, but our indicated GZ didn't seem right. Maybe next time. Our thanks anyway to Whitey Wiskas.
Back in town for my nans funeral tomorrow. Went for a night walk tonight and grabbed this one I missed last trip. TFTC. Didn’t know there was an old government house on this land.
I had trouble with this one, parking was hard today but got a short term park nearby calculations seemed ok, with a plausible GZ. Stands nearby didn't help but i though I was checking at the right level and found nothing. I will try next time Inam in town when it is less busy here.
Thank you Whitey Wiskas for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Today a fast find

Into town found plaque, had some answers, entered some new co-ords, look around and a quick find. Thank you for the history. TFTC
Time foir a change from Park and Grabs, as we head into the city proper. Soon found plaque, had some answers, entered some new coords, over there. OK, not much here that you could hide here, but looking at the description, makes us move our search about 20 metres, and then a quick find was had. Nice bit of history about Tamworth. TFTC.
Happy dance when I finally logged this multi Searched here on the weekend but was hesitant about GZ. A quick find today.

Really grateful for help from the CO on this one. Armed with new info we approached again and scored a win
Must’ve got the sums wrong because we couldn’t find anything that looks anything like GZ. Bummer
A friendly muggle pointed us in the right direction with this one (we were having a bit of trouble with the coordinates). Willay and Skiyup
Took us ages to find because we entered the wrong coordinates in three times , but found and signed it Z,N,J,C,L
We found GZ easily enough and after a bit of searching found the hint location and the cache. TFTC!
Found the plaque and gathered the necessary info, did the sums then headed off to GZ. Searched some likely spots then thought hmmm, I wonder, and sure enough we made the find. Thanks for another multi
This one had us going as we were looking at the platform then we thought hmmm ok and yes a find was made. TFTC
Found at 3:05 PM GAFF3.
We thought that we had mucked up the name of George as when we went over to our GZ we couldn't work out what to look for. We then read the cache description in more detail and realised that we were just a few metres from where our co-ords took us but we were not that confident of checking such a structure.
Thanks Whitey Wiskas.

Lol after checking our numbers twice we read back through some past logs, expanded our search, and made a quick find! TNLN TFTC
Found today on our second day of our Tamworth trip, had an awesome time finding all these caches out here...

Bah! I grabbed the plaque photo on my morning walk, and we came back out with bikes to scour the area.... no luck here. Reading the logs I think we need to widen the search? We'll try again later or tomorrow.

We'd just had lunch and looking out the window, realised we were only 50m from our DNF this am, maybe the power of the Oporto may help?? So with 4 sets of eyes, and a misreading of the hint, we were about to call another DNF when Samuel spotted it from 10m away - exactly where we had been looking (badly) this morning..... It's always nice to get rid of a frowny! TFTC!

Our final cache for the day and before we head home tomorrow. In Tamworth for the country music festival and the Australian Line Dance Championships. Coming from the playground the hill in the heat OMG Geomonster10 and I sat down to figure out the co-ords we needed and then set off to find the cache which was a quick retrival. TFTC
What a "RELEIF"...... 18/9/18...30/12/19... Now today 6/1/20.... GOTCHA!!! Lesson learnt here , re multi caches.. Thanks Whitey Wiskas for all your effort in placing these caches in the area and beyond !! HAPPY NEW YEAR 2020...
[?] Again another DNF ??? doing something wrong!! Will have a go again when things cool down including the weather!! Thanks Whitey Wiskas
I calculated the coordinates after finding the plaque. Fortunately I had taken a photo of the plaque as I had something wrong. Sat down and reworked the coordinates and soon had the cache signed. It is a shame that so many old buildings have been torn down, but that's the way of the world.
While camping in Tamworth with my geodog Scruffy, we just had to get out find a few caches in the area...
wow this isn't the spot I thought the old Gov't was, but apparently it was.
Doubt the original builders would have ever thought the area would look like it does now.
All Good .. TFTC ..

Day 4 of the visit to Tamworth with joojoo57. Today we are gathering caches around Tamworth city, as this afternoon I have to fly to Sydney.
joojoo had already solved this one so we went straight to GZ. We were very cautious about making the grab. TFTC, Whitey Wiskas.

Last day in Tamworth with IolantheK before heading home. Today was mainly in Tamworth with a couple of drives out to pick up a few caches missed.
After collecting the info it was a very careful find at GZ. Thanks.

Caching in and around Tamworth, we picked up a few caches with Whitewebbs and this was one of them.
A straight forward multi and finding it about 10 meters from GZ, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

There is such a wonderful selection of caches around this area and this was one we targetted and found. We were impressed that caches were not missing and were well maintained. Thanks to Whitey Wiskas for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Visiting Tamworth over the weekend and really enjoying it. It’s such a great place with nice history, a very pleasant CBD area, lovely old buildings on wide streets. We went hunting this one after getting the info needed and found it well hidden. Thanks for this and others we’ve found.
Cheers and happy caching!

Hi there Whitey Wiskas.
Sunday - what a nice day to walk around the town CBD. It was busier than we thought, but we still managed to achieve our objective. It seems that we visited some of these places last time we were in town, and we logged caches with a different name.
We had a really fun stroll. The caches were all well placed, and the for the most part the coordinates were pretty accurate. We can see that a lot of thought has gone into the placement of all the caches we found today.
All up we found 11 caches & DNF'd 0 in this cache run. Thanks for placing the caches. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places while we meander around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 5m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** A small swap if the container was big enough.
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Yesterday we collected the information for this cache but due to an error in my numbers (dysletic) we did not come to a likely GZ. We choose to drive away. Last night we rechecked the photo and saw the error of our ways. Today we returned and after a look here and there we soon found the cache. SL TFTC
Tamworth Day 2.
Another day we in Whitey Whiskers Territory, each time we come through here there is more new caches for us to find.
It was good to find such a variety of caches & hides along the way.
Read the questions wrong a couple of times but eventually we got a set of co-ord that looked just right.
Thanks for placing this cache Whitey Wiskas

On my way out this morning decided for one final look, very early before opening, however owner was out the front talking to someone, what could I say-exactly-and I did, so finally a find. Final coords were around 4m out after calculations. Extraction tool was required, thought that comment was for the container not the log. A paper clip would be useful for the log, anyway TFTC WW and hope there are more to come before my return
Finishing up for the day I checked out a slight variation to the information, after a DNF at my original , unfortunately again it was a DNF, especially as my coords took me to a closed premise, however they did have cameras, which probably means cache is close by. So will have to leave this one until my return during festival time. Will keep an eye on finds hoping them more success than me.Tftc
Another DNF, found what appeared to be GZ,however coords were out, even so there no way I am going on to private premises like that, tftc
My calculated coors took us a fair way from Old Government House site!! And the temporary man proof fence.. Maybe I got wrong!!! Thanks Whitey Wiskas
What a bit of luck..... we just happened to be in Tamworth when this was published. But then bad luck, we didn't see it. It was as we were leaving and glanced at the phone app that we saw the FTF banner on the map. And it was close. Found the plaque and worked out the co-ordinates. Woah! that's nothing like a short walk! So we tried again by taking a different way of looking at the numbers...... Huh? More rechecking and we still had no workable co-ordinates so we did the next best thing, we used the CO's hints, and .................................................................. JACKPOT!!!! {FTF} at 2.00pm. TFTC Whitey Wiskas
