Found 23/11/24. This was a devious hide with perfect camouflage , but reading past logs helped, definitely had this in my hand multiple times without realising what it was. Log was a bit wet though, TFTC.
Day 18 of my fortnight+ road trip up to Brisbane and back to Blue Mountains. Half day left thence home this afternoon. Many GC challenges achieved, favourited hides visited, random selected geocaches attempted (mostly smileys). A beaut road trip in short. Some geocaching in Walcha LGA after a roadside nap. A geocacher recommended that I check out several hides placed by geono.. Can see how well deserved their praise. TFTC
Im loving the caching in Walcha. Such a good variety of containers and some great hides. Another FP from me TFTC
Found It!This one took a lot of searching but eventually I got lucky and looked very closely in just the right place. Such a well hidden cache that blends in perfectly!TFTC
Heading away for the long weekend to clear some counties and found this cache on the way. The weather is brilliant and the scenery wonderful. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found slVery well indeed, that blends in so well, read a lot of past logs before making the find, something different and really fab point worthy
Wir haben es gefunden! We often take a long time to find these sorts of hides but took some of the earlier advice (somewhat skeptically) and there it was! Vielen dank!
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Making our way to Broken Hill for Mundi Mundi Bash. Today we moved from Inverell to Uralla. Once set up in the showground we headed on over to Walcha using geocaching as our guide. We found this cache today. TFTC geono.
Great hide.My dad spent early years here...80 years ago...He would have loved the gun to crawl all over..Thankfully to young for the warWonderful memorialMegron62TFTC"Lest we forget"
Thought this would be a breeze as there was not as many hidey places as most guns !!Well not quite the results I expected but with persistence I was able to find this well hidden cache.Nice location around the gardens as well. Thanks geono for this cache. Will give it a fav point for the enginuity of the hide.
#2655My first find on my scenic road trip from Sydney to Coffs. Not a park and find but was relative quick and tricky.TFTC
I always put time aside June long weekend to get some more caches out west. This one was no different. Had me scratching my head for a while but definitely the first thing I looked at, just needed to investigate further. TFTC.
Had a hunch and it was the first thing I touched. And then Cache in hand! Thanks!
Found on an impromptu Easter road trip with CaptainVimes and little_miss_cacher. Thanks for the cache geono.
GreenGecko1 & I are heading to the GeoBash in Canberra and collecting the odd LGA on the way.Cache was found, signed after replacing log paper.
Muggle65 and l are working our way to the Canberra Mega. We chose this cache as a quick leg stretch. M65 turned up the goods here but the log was chockers. We have replaced it. Thank you for a very fun cache
This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 13166.Heading home this evening while Shell stopped at the loo I checked out this one. Like so many others Id put my hand on this one and came back to it. A very well executed hide. Thanks geono. for the cache.
Wow, what can I say. I was stumped here and after reading previous logs I went back to what I had touched and reexamined. What do you know, I came up trumps here.Favourite point given.TFTC
Gotcha !!! Its taken almost 5 years to get back here after our DNF. Success this time , no council workers working nearby may have helped. FP awarded. TFTC
verrry sneaky!... and has earned a favourite point from us! Good work. Log signed and replaced as found. TFTC
Great sneaky hide ! BravoFollowed in previous loggers logs and read back previous logs ! TFTC
What an excellent cache. We looked around for a while and then I read through the comments. Saw a lot of people saying it was the first place they touched but they overlooked it. So I went back to the first place I touched and there it was.
Great cache and another FP from me. Even though o read a few logs and with darkness on us, it was literally the first thing I touched. And yet it took my partner to find it!! TFTC
Guess I have to get on here and smack talk geo wife. After she did on a previous cache . Literally had the cache in her hands and kept looking.
Really enjoyed finding this one. But then again I am just a newbie at this caper. Hopefully lots more to find as clever as this one. TFTC.
Meandering in our motorhome finding a few caches along the way. Deciding to stay in Walcha for 2 days we climbed the hill to tackle this tricky hide. After a few minutes and reading some of the earlier logs we found the sneaky hide. Of course it deserves another FP. TFTC
We were about the pull the pin when we spotted the very clever hide... well done. Have another FP
What a great cache, hidden in plain site, one of those caches that is really inventive - Fav point from us. Photo attached is NOT of the actual cache but merely a holder for the log so its more easily extracted from a much larger cache container. TFTC
Yep it's another Geono special and therefore another favourite. Brilliant work on the Camo. You really have to be thorough to spy a Geono cache. Thankfully this one didn't take us too long. We're learning if you think it's where the cache is, it probably is, just look harder. Tftv
So glad we got to stop and do this one! A nice easy find for me (but I had been thinking about all the sneaky places it could hide and this stood out for me), so more luck than good management!

Well this one took us a while. After reading some logs, I got the hint on where to look and finally located. A nice gun and lookout form this memorial. TFTC A fav from me due to the clever hid.
2 days before Anzac day, and we are searching a gun at a memorial. Local Yokel sopped and asked if we were giving it a spruce up, for Anzac Day. A thorough search was had, and then another, whilst readin logs. One such log, piqued Madrabbitohs interest, and she soon had cache in hand. After finding it, we joked that we had asked about what that would be used for. TFTC. Fav from me. Its a pretty good view, and the cleverness itself earns one.
Making our way back to QLD and picking up certain caches along the way. Needing some high altitude caches, Walcha proved the perfect spot.
We touched the cache almost straight up but of course didn’t see what was right there and kept searching. We resorted to a PAF which gave us what we needed and JDavs found the very clever hide.

Time for another solo road trip. This time it'll be three days from Brisbane to Dorrigo, Port Macquarie, Tamworth, Quirindie, Armidale, Grafton and back. All to find a few choice geocaches see some places I've never been before, and others I've seen but too briefly. Today is the second day on the road.
For today, the "big bit" was to get from Port Macquarie to Tamworth via the Oxley Highway. I was excited for this drive, and it totally checked out, being a most enjoyable time on the road. At the top was the stopover at this tiny little town. I had noted it's much loved by geocaches, so figured it worth the stop and see what the attraction was. Sadly I didn't really have time to clear everything, so aimed for what looked like the best.
At the top of the range and some more glorious highway kilometres later, I was in Walcha. A lot colder up here than at the beach this morning. I found a place to leave the car about as close as I could get and skipped up the park to GZ. Ah, this look about right.
Knowing this is a tricky and difficult hide, I knew it's best to have an open mind. I began a methodical hunt. I got on my knees. I got on my bum. I got on my back. I looked under, in and all about. No geocache. Some minutes had passed and I consulted the listing again. A bit of a scroll and I had a new idea to investigate.
Sure enough, when looking closer at a bit that I'd touched maybe 3 times before, I spotted the tiniest of details and knew this was the geocache. Full points for it not just blending in perfectly but also not interfering with the original item in any way. I was a very happy boy to sign my name at 14:20 and replace all back as found.
Even when driving away and through the town I was just impressed with this hide. May I come back and find others in this little town sometime. It will be worth the drive again. Thank you for this geocache and challenge, geono.

Having arrived in Tamworth last night to visit with family, Blkthunder and I have a day in Tamworth and Walcha to cache and sightsee before returning to Brisbane tomorrow… there may have been more caching than sightseeing…
Walcha helps with a crazy challenge in Brisbane… arriving with no expectations our whole morning was a pleasant surprise followed by delight after delight…
I’ve crawled over lots of antique guns now… with varying degrees of difficulty… this is one of the best I’ve encountered… one of those hides that you dismiss and eventually after checking every other possibility return to your original thought and kick yourself for not being more thorough…
Another fave point, for the hide and the highlighting the location…
Thanks geono.…

Heading home after a few days exploring and caching around the Armidale area.
It's never a geocaching trip without a cannon cache and it's a type that usually leaves us bewildered. This time around we had a little bit more luck and upon investigating something a little further had an incredibly well camouflaged cache in hand, it really does blend in perfectly, fp given

We must be learning to think like you… it was the first thing we looked at. That rarely (never) happens with your clever caches. All good here.

This morning we walked around town looking at most of the artworks. This was a very crafty hide. Thanks for placing these caches around town.
Seen one very similar in Echuca, very tricky
A great trip over to Queensland, then through NSW, Vic, SA and back to WA.
Was able to put a few smileys on the map.
This was one of them.
Now catching up with logging them with five minutes on the computer.

The roads we meander, and explore, we are meandering along the Great Dividing Range, stopping off here to find a few geocaches
We are travelling homeward bound to Busselton from the Townsville Mega,
how lost can we get?
It’s been just over 3 months since the CacheQld mega and we have only just crossed the Qld/NSW Border, that’s still a long way to go to get home to WA
But the fun bit is, finding all these geocaches along the way.
No matter where we park our caravan for the night, it’s always an exciting day to see this great country through the eyes of the local geocachers.
Thanks to all the COs for showing us your favourite spots along the way.

After unpacking at the motel, we spent a couple of hours working our way round Walcha, using the touring multi and AL to show the way. Overall we were pretty impressed with the caches we found. And the rain had even stopped for us.
What a gem. Oliver spotted it first, but thought nothing of it, and after a few goings over I reinvestigated it and found the cache.... the best cache for the day for sure. TFTC!

We thought we would venture to Walcha for a morning of some caching.
What a great place to visit around GZ and many thanks for bringing us here.
After looking at the surroundings we decided to tackle the task at hand.
After a short search and thinking outside the square, the cache was soon in hand. The water proof log was wet from all the recent rain, but we signed our name and also took a photo of the log as the ink pen we used was smudging our name and was wiping off as we replaced log.

A great little stop on our drive from Adelaide to Brisbane with Davidwazza! A very tricky hide that almost had us fooled! TFTC!
Moving from Adelaide to Brisbane, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I decided to drive the long distance to make the opportunity a holiday, taking 12 days and passing through Victoria, New South Wales, and then finally arriving in Queensland. We spent the first few days in SA's Riverland, visiting Morgan, Berri and Renmark; and then drove through Mildura in Victoria. In NSW, we stopped at Hay, Parkes, Merriwa, Tamworth, Port Macquarie, and Coffs Harbour, and then entered Qld to stop for a night in Robina in the Gold Coast.
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I travelled from Tamworth to Port Macquarie. Our first major stop was Uralla, and along the way, we targeted high favourite point geocaches, of which there were a few in the area. After completing the Uralla Adventure Lab, we made our way to Walcha, where we enjoyed a nice river walk whilst completing that Adventure Lab too. Finally, we took the windy road through Cotton-Bimbang National Park, and stopped at Ellenborough Falls. We hadn't realised how far away these were, but we did enjoy the walk and views of the mighty falls whilst completing that Adventure Lab. We then made it into Port Macquarie in time for dinner and a few evening geocaches.
We approached this cache with some apprehension given the various DNFs. I thought I would find this camouflaged cache quickly, and so we got to work, searching all the various nooks and crannies. At least it wasn't one of the usual bigger cannons containing a nano. It was about at the 10 minute mark, and we were close to giving up, when we kept returning to a particular object. I suspected it was the cache, but didn't realise about the opening technique until the third inspection, and sure enough, I was right! The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Very well hidden, and a Favourite Point for the well concealed cache. I do think the difficulty was on the low side, and it could easily be in the 4.0+ territory (especially given the DNFs and need for PAFs), but that is just my opinion. Thanks geono. for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

An excellent spot for a cache found quickly by Colin. Cache log has rusted and was wet; despite being new could use some repair/weatherproofing.
Tamworth and Amrmidale Trip March 2020. Day 5. I headed north with Fitzy_1965 along the New England Highway towards Tamworth. Today we moved north to Armidale, but not in a straight line. The day was mostly roadside caches, but they were all of differing levels of challenges, especially when you have to deal with Farmers Friends and Stinging Nettles at almost every cache.
We spent a bit of time around Walcha visiting some great locations with some very good caches in them. I was impressed.

Day 5 of our trip. Packed up the rather wet campsite and headed out after breakfast for what turned out to be another big days caching. We aimed to cache our way up to Armidale. Next stop of the day, and we came up with a pretty quick find on a very clever hide. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed off to the next one.
