I luckily found it today as yesterday I was not so lucky. It was pretty far off path where you shouldn't be so maybe cache owner should move it to the opposite side so we don't kill the endangered species and make it more accessible. Tftc fp
My pen was ready for a quick sign. No sign of cache this area is now a conservation area and co words were facing inside the area. I didn't want to go past though
It was tricky in the deep bushes but with the luck of our Dad anything is possible
Finding caches on our way home from a long weekend.
That took a lot longer than it should! Can’t believe we missed on our first 10 trips around GZ!

After spending the night in Whitianga we had time to explore the Coromandel before heading home. Unfortunately we didn’t see many birds near gz today, but this may have been due a small person running freely through the nesting grounds.
All we can say about this cache is that it rocks!!! TFTC

Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are now parked up in Whitianga for the next few days … there were a few places nearby that we needed to visit so decided to go for a drive … thought it would be rude to not to check out a couple of caches while out & about … this one was an easy find, completed the log & replaced it … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #2,778 for us.
Very clever. As long as you look with your eyes open it will be easy to spot! Favourite from us. Cache all good. TFTC
Was staying in Rings Beach for a few days with my niece (booboobecky). Was able to get her back into caching as well.
Cool camo, gets a fav point from me.
We enjoyed a walk on the beach afterwards.

Found it. Once we figured out the hint it became a lot easier. Note its inside the cordoned off area and people are not meant to go there. Lucky no muggles so we got away with it
This cache is now ins fenced off area, enter at your own risk due to erosion. Might need moving, though that might be harder then the norm! Tftc
We both really enjoyed this cache, live the hide. Last one for the day and now for a wander down the beach at low tide, and not a soul in site. Amazing place .

We are visiting from Christchurch over the Easter weekend, attending a wedding. This is a great walkway, we really enjoyed our walk around the spit and introduced some nieces and nephews to geocaching as well. The wee ones enjoyed making a swap here - we took a car and left a puzzle in return. Neat container, TFTC!
I think someone moved it from where it was supposed to be, we looked for 30 mins
Very quick find this time. How I missed it last time? must have had man’s look. Thanks B43
Great spotand hide. Took us longer than it should have, but was easy to find in the end.
Cache is nice and dry - not surprising, it is a great setup and very nicely set up.dropped in a path tag and a favourite. I am starting to look forward to your caches, Peejay!
Hay! Saw my first dotteral here! By the end of the Coromandel trip I got to recognise dotterals instantly. So many here, yet I have never seen them before. The only live around here?
Taybeedragon and I went on a tour of the Coromandel - one of the few places of New Zealand, especially of Te ika a Maui, that I have yet to explore throughly, and from there along the coast to Opotiki to see one of my many, many sisters. From 18 December to 5 January we found over 400 caches, including 12 adventure labs (60 caches), 20 or so TMGTs and a host of virtuals and earthcaches. And I hosted an event to see the sun come up on New Year's day - surprisingly popular given that it was at 5am. We climbed a lot of hills, saw some amazing beaches that were quite popular despite (or because of) the insane access to them, walk a lot of bush, entered and explored 8 gold mines and generally had an awesome time. However I am glad to be back, but now is the hard part, and I fear it will take just as long - logging!

On a walk around Matarangi Peninsular. The hunt was on here but finally tracked this one down. Left our calling card. Cool hide. Fav from me..
Day 6 - Wednesday 23 December - Coromandel - Whitianga - Coromandel -And back to Whitianga again. 309 Pony express is the aim today. But it was a hot dusty day and many caches below par so dissapointing. Left Zara in Whitianga and headed out around the loop in Toby.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are off on another geocaching escape over Xmas, this time to the mighty Coromandel, then over to Opotiki and stop off at Rotorua to return home on 5 January. Had an fabulous time exploring many wonders of our country. Rounding up over 400 caches along the way, with a few LABS, 20 odd TMGTs, virtuals and lots of interesting earth caches to keep the mind busy. Watching the sun come up on New Years Day at Mt Maunganui was spectacular. Lots of walking and even more driving. But had an awesome time. Thanks to all COs who made this adventure so special.

We were surprised at how quiet the walkway was today, we barely encountered another person despite it being absolutely stunning weather.
The sand was so white it looked just like snow and the water was so blue and inviting.
What an amazing place.
After enjoying the view we began to search for the cache and were very impressed with what we found. Such perfect camo, it blends right in and provides perfect protection.
Thanks peejay for another very carefully thought out and clever cache. A definite favourite point.

Had more trouble getting the container out than finding the cache. Nice to find a cache big enough to take this trackable which we have had for some time. Great spot - TFTC
Thanks for putting geocache here as wouldn’t have known about this lovely walking track
TFTC. Might want to reconsider the placement as it is near a rodent killing device. Be careful with little kids.
Unexpected long weekend! Off to Coromandel then... Day 2 ... Haha cover shape reminds me german soldier helmet from WWII ...Nice contact inside! And lovely spot. TFTC
Awesome hide. Spotted from the track easily once we had an idea what we were looking for. Found with NZGeo
Returning to NZ after 8 years. Catching up on caches missed and new and areas not discovered. What an area this is! Great loop walk taking in the local area.
Watch out for the nesting birds!!

Nice find while out on an evening ride with Miss M and a spot of dotterelling. No pen but cache should have given its great size. Pic for proof. Tftc
A site now infamous for the whale stranding on January 4th. Cotè and Dan say thanks.
I hitched up my snail shell and moved from Fitty to Matarangi this morning and after setting up and lunch it was time to sign off oa few caches.
This was the last one today and a nice walk along the shoreline.
Cheers for the cache.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and NZFlossy... We are chasing some TMGT caches today with the intention of visiting the Tuia Mātauranga Roadshow in Whitianga this afternoon...
Today’s mission also allowed us to visit other nearby caches... After our initial access difficulties, it was great to find the pathway down to this cache. We should have remembered this track from our previous visit... We quickly decoded the hint and had no problems translating this into a find. Thanks peejay and TFTC.

Found 5.30pm
We decided we might make it up as far as Thames today to start on the Tuia Matauranga Geo Tour, guessing we will never complete all of these caches in New Zealand plus collect any other caches on the way.
Picked up Squirrel Nutcase and the NZ Flossy at Te Poi.
We made great progress and ended up in Whitianga where we decided to visit the Road Show here today. Great amount of New Zealand past history, could have spent a lot longer here but the place was packed and with time on our side we continued North. SLTFTC

Out for the day with Squirrel Nutcase and Gap collecting the TMGT caches and a few others. Raining a little at the start but the day got better and better. Thanks to all the COs - loved reading and learning about the history Loved the container and the walk TFTC
Find number 5831. Enjoyed the walk around to this one. I wandered around GZ for a while before spotting the obvious. Thank you for the placement.
Took a couple of the grandchildren for a walk along to this one. Lovely day for it. Very nice spot. Clever hide. They were so excited to see the cache with lots of things in it. Left Pathtag. SL. TFTC.
We have really enjoyed this lovely beach walk especially watching the bunnies on the beach. Great camouflage! TFTC
