The last leg of our journey home after attending WA Goes Big.A few select caches on this journey. All good here.TFTC SL TB's visited
I haven't had heaps of luck finding caches on my travels today so it was nice to have a simple find in good condition. TN, left a pathtag. TFTC
TFTC Hercs&pinky your cache Pinky's Bin that we found today. We had camped at the Nyah Lions RV park late January as we made our way to Adelaides for the Great Leap Forward. Today we are on our way back home to Maryborough ,Qld via the Mega in Canberra. Camped up and went out to find a couple of caches. Being later in the day we only targeted the 5 closest to camp. All found although we made one or two harder than it should have been. This was one of the ones we targeted.Find Count: 19126
Day 6 - Tankengine, Youban and I are finally on our way home today. We have had a lot of fun in Adelaide and enjoyed our time here. Today we thought some inner city caches while the could be less muggles, then grab a few on our way to Swan Hill, where we are staying the night. This cache: What a lucky cache and it is pinkys bin!!! Tftc!!!

Now thats what we call a cache. Something that cant move and is a decent size. It is bomb proof and will last for forever! Well done and put together!Cache is in great condition, and will be forever! We enjoyed the history associated with this cache.Such a shame that the son did not have the same respect or memories of the railway and the original track formed through here by the pioneers. We also took the opportunity of parking through the open gates and having our lunch and pumpkin soup in the car at the same time.TFTC Thanks for the history and an excellent cache. Worthy of a Favourite point!
Somehow I have found myself on this road. It's wet wet wet but quite happy to stop for fun themed caches! I'm enroute to home base which is at higher altitudes after a mammoth marathon multi mission into SA with a few geobuddies. Also have a personal project that means finding 20 caches in each LGA...thats something. TFTC and the FUn.
We were in Swan Hill to assist with the fireworks for the show tonight and as we had off loaded everything at the storage facility we had a free day to do what we wanted before starting to set up so obviously caching it was.
The area around here must have been totally different during the times of the steam engines going backwards and forwards. Iit would have been the main stay of their communities just We are pleased that we got close to some history in finding this page and hopefully also location it made a lot more sense afterwards.
Many thanks once more for the history and the hide.

Making the most of Holidays and being able to travel. I decided on a 4 day trip that seen me head up to Swan Hill then down via Lake Boga, Kerang, Koondrook, Cohuna, Leitchville, Mt Terrick Terrick NP, Corop, Colbinabbim Rushworth, Whroo and finally Nagambie (then back home to St.Arnaud). Lots of back tracks taken and lots of dust to clean out of the ute. It was over 1250km travelled and flying solo on this trip I had lots of fun finding the caches.
I took a couple more wedges out of my 360Deg “finds from home” map and ticked off a couple of caches that I have heard about that were on my “to find” list.
There was a huge Variety of caches found from bird boxes to Fridges, Wall mountable tool boxes to Eclipse tins, with the odd ammo can thrown in. A couple of head scratching gadget caches chewed up some time but will be memorable for time to come. Numerous puzzles that I had solved i managed to find and I even managed to make good on a couple of DNFs, and add some more DNFs to my list. Even though I was out on my own I still had to use a couple of PAFs to get by. Thanks guys.
Last cachefor the day and a cool little find too. Now its time to go find food and a motel for the night.

Found with tassie expat while exploring this nice area. These are the types of caches I like the most, middle of nowhere, not too difficult to find, birds singing around you. Thanks for placing it. It's in good condition.
frmen1 and I were on the move again. Interesting story...my how the times change. Contents in good condition. TFTC
Time to head home, but a quick stop along the road and another cache found. TFTC
The three of us were heading to Northeast to Victoria from Adelaide. We stopped here for a quick cache. Mr Tardis found the cache in the first place he looked - don't you just love it when that happens?
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Hercs&pinky.

Hi there Hercs&pinky.
We found your cache **"Pinky's Bin"** today.
The plan today was to a "Next closest" run, because we could and up anywhere. We managed to find 11 before some raindrops splattered on the windscreen & we headed for home.
Thanks for placing this cache here. Over the years, Geocaching has taken us on many adventures and to lots of wonderful destinations all over Australia. Without 'caching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wanderings. 'Caching has also introduced us to a diverse group of like-minded people, many of whom we now call friends.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache exactly where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge
Thank you Hercs&pinky for adding to our adventure.
Regards
Ian & Penny

Good hide. Met the son. What are the odds?!?
Found during our COVID 2020 Murray River trip.
While Melbourne was in a state of turmoil rural Victoria was still okay, and with 4 weeks leave, and all the borders closed we decided the only warmish place in Vic was going to be as north as we could get. After a decade or so travelling north and west we started on the trips we'd left til later - the Murray River. Starting from East Gippsland we got to Wemen out of Robinvale before they announced Victoria was going back into Stage 3. Now we're working our way back home and avoiding Melbourne. Found this along the way. TFTC. DJ

After attending the St Arnaud Mega Event , now in Swan Hill and district for a couple of days. Travelling through the countryside and finding caches along the way. Thank you to all CO's for placement of the caches. TFTC.
While in Swan Hill for a few days, taking a day trip out to Sea Lake for some caches and silo art and doing it before the weather heats up in a day or two. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining the caches we visited.
Thanks for the interesting historical tidbit to go with this cache find [^]
It's important that we don't forget how things used to be done
It should make everyone appreciate how easy we have it now
Well ... at least some people get it !! [:o)]
This appropriately colourful cache was soon spied behind its drab camo
TFTC !!

Great weather to be out and about to the west of Swan Hill, following a cache course set by our fellow Geelong cachers Suscoe. Too dry for slippery roads but not quite dry enough for dust!
An interesting snippet of history we would never have learnt, were it not for geocaching.
Thanks 'Hercs&pinky' for adding this cache to the gameboard.

Suscoe was enjoying a day out around the Swan Hill area in the very good company of Phetlern.
It was a delightful spring day with clear skies and bright sunshine.
A perfect day for caching.
The country side looked pretty good but it appears dry and the roads we quite solid to drive on.
Thanks to Hercs&pinky for this hide, a lovely quiet spot today.

As I was driving back from the multi I saw this cache so made the short stop to collect it, an interesting little hide.
A huge weekend away, with over 2000km being driven over 3 days from Adelaide to Mansfield via swan hill and Echuca, then return via Bendigo and St Arnaud. The target was to collect 11 new local government areas and mostly stop and do some multis.
But the main goal was tour of Mansfield, a cycling tour consisting of 3 stages over 2 days (Saturday and Sunday).
Stage 1: 14km Individual time time trail.
Stage 2: 76km road race finishing up old Tolmie
Stage 3: 46km road race finishing up the top of mt bulla.
Wednesday I left Adelaide for Victoria via pinnaroo, I decided I would stop when I had enough of driving. I camped in the back of a cemetery yes a cemetery, nice and peaceful in Nyah. Thursday I made my way from Nyan to Mansfield via Swan Hill, Echuca and Shepparton with 2 trips over the boarder. A lot of DNFs on caches as some were barrow red off due to road works and others I must if stuffed up. I ended up camping the night in Mansfield. Friday I held my event in Mansfield with a big show of 1 (just myself)!!! And went for a drive up mt bulla. Saturday was mainly racing and Sunday after the race I made my way back to Adelaide via Victorias oldest cache and some new roads through the middle of victoria that I had never been on before.. With arrival on Monday at 1am back home. A big trip out and a great weekend away with a little under 100 finds.
Thanks for the cache placements by all the cache owners.

Kids loved hunting this and it was a team find - spotted by one child and retrieved by another
They were very excited and could tell whose cache it was
Our last find with becsin4 for the day, thank you for the cache hercsandpinky

Just out for a nice afternoon drive to find this cache. A STF for us this time. Thanks H & P for putting a cache out this way. Very interesting story about the land around this cache. Found it quite easily and a cache full of swaps and stuff. The FTF finder took the wrong FTF gift, anyway we have it now. Thanks again. Cheers. SL. TFTC. Left a few more swaps for the kids.
With the littlest geo fan snoozing when this cache came up I sighed, it's not often I get the chance for that magical FTF title.... today may not be the day too. As I come to realise this was not going to be my day she woke up!
When I find the cache I really do believe my luck is going to change, what a container, what a find, what a day!
I must admit sprakles caught my eye! The next can have the ftf gift, this one screams my name, cant argue when it glitters and winks! Thanks for coming back to the game H&P you guys sure do a great hide
