Unfortunately this one is gone. It was a pretty specific container - an oversized ammo can - and we dont have a spare available right now. May try again with this location another time.
If this geocache is missing, please let me know as it contains a TB of mine Thank you Angie
Unfortunately we searched and searched for this bad boy, M12 had been qanting this one for awhile but alas it wasn't to be, let's hope we were just looking in the wrong place.
Wanted to head out for a socially distanced walk with Anastriel (and a bit of caching!), was hoping this walkway "people-free" for current lockdown restrictions and it was! A bit of a scramble for Lycurgon as we approached from the wrong side but cache was soon in hand. TFTC
First day out caching now we're allowed. Probably should have checked the hint before we got to the wrong side! TFTC
I was on the path on the other side. Climbed up through the tussock which wasn’t too bad. TFTC
First opportunity to drop Bilbo off on his adventure back to England. Safe travels. CO thank you for your placement. Nice to find a large cache
Lunchtime, escaped the office for a bit, came over here. Great to find this type of container, the last time was on the top of Mt Taranaki. All good here, signed and replaced, left the TB in the cache. TFTC

We were fast running out of time before requiring to head home so decided a quick jog along the walkway was in order to get a few quick finds in succession.
This one I didn't red the description properly and had to access from the wrong side, took care not to add to the Geotrail and soon found the massive container, did my sign and decided to go down the rocks to continue the cache run.

Really like this cache, iv jst started and found a lot of log book only caches so it was cool to find something different. Didnt sign the log book as i lost pen on the way and pen in cache didnt work. Tftc
Checked on the cache yesterday, all good. It is unfortunate that the quality of the swag has reduced dramatically from what was in there when the cache was hidden, but such is life...
Thanks for the cache but there was rubbish in it. Left a ring but didn’t take anything.
After a long and happy day of caching I found this BIIIIG TB-Hotel.
Cache is a little wet and the TB's started to get rusty and ugly, so I took (most of) them with me. Not sure if I left any in the container, there was too much swap around and I was kind of in a hurry, since time was running out for me. I really wanted to reach my car safe and sound before too late (and dark). Marked all of the TB I took as retrieved, the two TB remaining in the cache (Renruts' Green Ducky Racer and Vulkaneifel - Cachen rund um die Maare) might still be in the cache, or they might be lost.
Thanks for hiding and maintaining this great series of caches that I enjoyed very much today. It made caching next to the motorway real fun and worth while! Tftc

Today was a day for grabbing numbers as we approach a milestone number so we headed here to walk the cycle trail. Here today with Liverkiwi, Lordcacher08, Purply and Darthcacher1. We called in here on our way back to the cars for lunch. We dropped a trackable and picked up another. The muggle child with us was amazed at the size of this cache.
Out today with HeMaLuDy to walk along George Bolt Memorial Drive and collect some of the caches that can be found along here. It was a stunning sunny spring day which meant that it was cold, but as long as you stayed in the sun you stayed warm enough to make it bearable.
Upon approaching the entrance to the area where this cache was located, only Mr. HeMaLuDy and Mr. Kiwi were willing to go for this one. The grass at the entrance was rather long and we had to do our best farmer walking to get through it. Luckily the thick long grass gradually turned into more manageable shorter grass. We came to a point where the cache was to the side of us and so we had a read of the description. This confirmed that we were going up, so up we went.
Once at the top, we started searching, it shouldn't be too hard to find this cache, and it wasn't. It didn't take long for the container to be spotted. Once opened, Mr. HeMaLuDy sighed the log for all while Mr. Kiwi checked the collection of trackables that were in the cache. Each team took a trackable each and another was placed for someone else to find.

This biking track had been a plan of attach for Team SEAC for a while now however the originally planned day had to be cancelled due to bad weather.
A couple of days ago the weather was checked and found to be good so the cal went out. Unfortunately due to the late notice there were only 4 that could attend.
We threw our bikes into the back of our cars and headed to the Countdown carpark at the airport and headed to the bike trail to do these caches.
Had made a navigation error when we first set out meaning we had to attempt these when returning to the car. We had returned to the car prematurely due the rain starting.
Even this one we made a slight navigation error. Back tracking was required here meaning that Laval and Mr NZT had to make the walk while the bikes were guarded by Mrs NZT and Keylev.
Made a quick find and that is one of the largest Ammo can we had seen
T
The lid was open so we emptied the container of water and secured the lid correctly and replaced the container

Had planned this bike ride for a few weeks ago but the weather got in the way. Mrs NZT messaged yesterday to see if anyone was keen to attempt again today and yes we were!
Nice to have such a large container in an area like this!! Sent the boys in to get wet feet with this one!
Thanks for the cache. Found with NZTravellers, Hello Birdie 1 and laval.

Checking if my Devil Duck TB is still in this cache. If so, can someone move it along? https://coord.info/TB80RC2
TB swap out, dropped some from South Island and retrieved to take back for an event next week. In 12, out 14. Sweet deal
With rustynz and rebel98 on a weekend of caching fun
Have only recently remembered password so are catching up on the logging. Thanks for the hide

We have just arrived back in Auckland to drop the campervan off, after a weekend of caching fun in Rotorua, which included the GC45 Birthday celebration and plaque reveal (with Virtual being published too!).
As suggested the best path is to walk along the grass, then make your way up the rocks. Then we wandered along the ridge in an attempt to find the cache. Then we walked a little amongst the grasses.
I was beginning to think this was a needle in a haystack situation, and little blackbird was coping well with the tall grasses.
It was then I thought how would I hide it? what kind of landmark would help the CO to find the cache again. So I looked around, spotted something illuminating, or was it a lightbulb momment?
With that thought the cache came into view, and the ammo can was found
Happy to find this one, as I have a few TB to drop off from this weekends adventures.
Thanks for the hide geocoinsnz, a fun find, and our last find for today

Stopped past after landing in Auckland and dropped off some TBs ex New Plymouth in the hope that someone can take another flight with them
Quick find after butterfly creek. Beautiful hot day. Have swapped TB. Cache in great condition. Tftc
Stopped off here on the way to the airport.
Didn't have any trouble finding the cache.
Picked up a TB and will take it to Wales, which is pretty close to where it would like to go.
Signed the log and replaced as found.

Wow what a hoard. Grabbed a handfull of foreign ones to take north and left one from me that needs to go to Europe please id anyone is flying that way.
I sussed out another Air New Zealand Grab-a-seat from Palmy to Auckland and return $19.00 each way. Had time to walk along this lovely pathway to Mangere Centre Park to find 20 caches. FP. Thanks geocoinsnz for the cache.
I really didn't think I had the right footwear on for this one. But of course I had to try and so I got to the top to find this nice large cache chacker with trackables. Great to find another large cache - they aren't the easiest to come by. TFTC # 15,214
Awesome!!!
Biggest cache I’ve found in years ... and oh my, the travel bugs!

Dropped off all the TBs I picked up a few weeks ago, along with a few others I’ve had with me last months. All in the same ziplock bag for ease of transport for me. The remaining 3 TBs showing as being in were not present last time or today
After much driving and watching the traffic get steadily heavier we approached our destination with about an hour to spare. Whilst mrs capperz had a rest I headed off hopefully of finding a cache, and spotted this nearby nicely sized option. Headed up as per hint and soon had a logbook in hand to sign. After dropping all of my TB/GCs in a Northland I grabbed trackables here to take back to South Island for a trip. Thanks for this awesome-sized cache that will surely get plenty of visitors.
Our last day in Northland for this visit so only time for a few there before we head on down the line, via Waipoua Forest and returning our grandchildren. Back across to SH1 via Dargaville and Brynderwyn and some new countryside sighted. Again a low cache find day but has been a nice trip up here to enjoy. Managed to get some missing info for the Whangarei bridge Virtual too that I'd failed to get yesterday.
Me and mrs capperz are up in Northland visiting our son, his partner and their four kiddies under 3 years old! Should be fun catching up and seeing how they've come on sice we last saw them 5 months ago in Australia. We headed up via re-locatable car from Wellington to Auckland Airport, via Whanganui overnight at daughter's, then swapped into our own hire car from Saturday until we head back to Marlbro next Wednesday evening. Not too many caching targets, but a few possibilities and hope to get the Virtuals as we pass them.

Nowadays I'm not very surefooted but nevertheless I approached the GZ over the rocks.
And I didn't injure myself ....

Picked up Auntie from the Airport and she didn't mind stopping for our daily cache on the way home. This cache is massive! When we arrived at GZ there appeared to be a dead body on top of the cache. A small plastic corpse of a superman. We popped him into the cache among with a few toys from our stash bag. I think big caches need lots of goodies. The number of trackables was overwhelming and so we took a stack to distribute on our future travels. Thanks!
#7449. What a cache! I had just flown up from Wellington and was heading into the city before the rain arrived. But had noticed this newish cache and it was a large container. It certainly was large. Not seen an ammo can this size before. I approached from the salt-marsh rush side today but with good coordinates I ended up right at the GZ for an instant find. I have only seen one cache stuffed full of trackables like this before and that was Auckland Stash in 2015 before it was archived. I photographed a fair few and picked up some for travels either south to Wellington or to Europe when I head over there in 2 weeks time. Certainly a fun cache. Hopefully more people will move them on but its a bit overwhelming. Could be useful to have two sistemas inside. One labelled for TBs to head overseas and one for inbound TB's for NZ internal movement. Thanks geocoinsnz for the cache.
Last day in Auckland, but have some hours to kill, so after my morning park run I thought I best get some mor km’s in. Spying a central car park and two loops of cache off I Trott. Thanks for the little adventure.
We have a little spare time before catching a flight so what else to do but find a cache or more? Great spot here - TFTC
Find number 6063. Spending a couple of days in Auckland geocaching. Decided to cycle the trail to the airport today. I found a total of 45 in the area. Weather was a bit iffy but who cares I am geocaching. Came in from the grass and could see the cache before starting the climb. After signing I placed it back more hidden. Thank you for the placement.
Trackables from Barcelona have made it to NZ!!! This cache is a great container and filled with so many trackables at the moment! Situated nice and close to the international airport TFTC
Up in Auckland for the weekend staying at the Ibis .grabbing a few caches with my sister and daughter. Tftc
I dropped off Ms M in Mangere this morning and headed out to Natural High and hired a bike to cache the trail on the cycleway.
Too wet to approach from the CO’s desired direction. An easy find and omg one heck of a lot of trackables.

Just enough time to look for this before we had to return the car and get to the airport. No problem finding the cache but the T rating was earned today as we dodged rain. Picked up one trackable to lighten the load here.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Wow I've never seen that many tb in one cache before. Really hope they all get off safely from here. Left one more that wants to go to South America. Good luck to all of them. Don't think I've seen one of these types of caches of this size before. Tftc
#641, Mr Northwood dropped one of the junior Northwoods at the airport and after finally finding the Transit Lounge decided to take a walk and hunt a few more.
Quite enjoyed my walk around too. Interesting paths and gardens. Managed the scramble to the summit for this and was rewarded with the biggest container I seen in a very long time.
Dropped TB that wants to travel.
TFTH.

Took longer then should of haha had to sit down think but found it in the end TFTC
What a climb! A rogue piece of swag gave away its location none of the travel bugs in this cache are a truely here! Oh well what an awesome ammo can!! TFTC
Nice hide only a pity I chose to find it in the early morning when tussock were dripping wet TFTC
I had promised to bring my niece and nephews back to complete the remainder of the caches along the Mangere cycleway today on our scooters. While in the area we decided to come and find the caches around the airport area hoping that it would be quiet early this morning. It was a mission to get to this cache today through the long, wet grass, but once there one of my nephews very enthusiastically searched for the cache and soon turned up trumps. He then had plenty of fun surfing back to the scooters.
Out on a cool Saturday finding what we can, Thanks for placing this cache
In Auckland for a few days so only aiming a few caches. Brought my bike up so had to use it on some of these. TFTC
Over shot this 1 while the gps caught up...finally found it and offloaded a number of TBs that gave been with me for a while...hopefully folk travelling can help them on their way!
Did discover that the grass at the base of the rocks can get pretty boggy after it's been raining...take care if you're coming that way esp over winter/spring!
TFTC! Was great to find 1 big enough for multiple TBs

After a long trip down from Whg and then having to negotiate the long Akl parking lots, we arrived to find that our flight was delayed for an hour or more. What else for a cacher to do then but go for a walk to find some caches.
Near GZ, I initially went the wrong way and was faced with wading through the long wet tussock. Decided against that and retreated to take the rock climbing option.
Once the slope was scaled, the great sized container was soon located, the log signed, a couple of TBs dropped and then replaced as found. TFTC

Quick find while out for a walk from the airport. Seems it was an easy way in a hard way glad I’ve picked the easy way. thanks
For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 7 caches today. It was time to search the cycleway to the airport today.
A great big ammo can.
Cheers for the cache.

#802. I parked right next to this cache while I went to hopefully get an FTF on the newly-published [Mangere Route](http://coord.info/GC88D7K). I was not successful there (I was second) but since I was here, I made the short trek to get this cache, as I've wanted to find it for a while. It's always good to get large caches.
I approached the cache by going up the rocks, and was initially a bit annoyed by the sheer number of possible hiding places. But it didn't take too long to find it after a bit of walking around. A very nice box - I've seen a few ammo cans but not one that size before.
There were no trackables in the box. I dropped in two.
Thank you very much for the cache! Great to have such a big cache near the airport.

So, conference in the CBD has finished, I'm back at the airport at 5pm and my flight doesn't leave until 8.25pm. Thank goodness for geocaching...
After three failed finds on the way from the airport, I knew my luck needed to change at some point and if you can't find a large cache in the tussocks then what are you to do?
A little premature picking my entry point but I pushed on through and found a rough geo-trail which took me right to the GZ.
What a treat to find one this size.
Picked up a couple of TBs to come back to Nelson.
Thanks geocoinsnz

That is a decent sized container, and nicely hidden up here. Picked up the shell TB, cheers
#10,764. Went on a walk from Auckland Airport to Mangere in Auckland. GZ was all quiet during the visit. Relatively quick find. Well camouflaged. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. But unfortunately, neither Topper nor Kiwi 2 was in the cache.
Dropped off Simpukka
Took nothing, signed log.

Just time to whizz down here and collect a few caches before it's time to board my flight. I had a pretty fair idea where this cache would be and sure enough I was not wrong. This one gets a favourite point because it's a cool placement, because it adds to my meager total of large caches and because yaaayyyyy it's going to give me enough points to get my fifth Cache Carnival souvenir. Thanks for the buzz !
Oh yes, and I love the title .

Dropped my other half’s parents off at the airport this morning and decided to come and look for some caches afterwards.A quick climb up the rocks and soon spotted this well sized cache with lots of goodies inside.
Found with Madcow2. A few hours to spare between flights. We enjoyed the walk. TFTC
