We are killing time before checking in to our hotel for the night and have been curious about this multi for while so we decided to visit it. Yes just as I thoughta quick find exactly where I was thinking! TFTC
I'm in Auckland for a couple of days and for a change it has nothing to do with work (up the Irons!). So I've got nothing to stop my caching activities except being limited to public transport. Maybe I'll spot a Yeti with his very distinctive coat (GCAT2T2). (I didn't but I know he was up the front there somewhere).Well that takes care of my multi dot day. Read too much into the cache name but now I see what's happened from previous Los.All good here, and thank you to geocoinsnz for the placement of your Multi-cache.Find #7115 at 17 September 2024 2:39pm
Got the math done within minutes , but the find took wayyy longer then usual , TFTC
M26: had to look a few places, took a few moments, but eventually found it, along with astrolovers. Whew .. log all good and signed here. TFTC. Fp given.
Plugged in the numbers and solved the equations fast and looked for it for a bit until looking at the hint and looked a bit more shallower then made the find. TFTC!
Solved at home and collected on my to the airport. I had to check my coordinates a few times because at first they didn't make sense, but they finally made sense.
Out with flossieteacake. My only complaint? The sign isn't big enough.... TFTC geocoinsnz
Having a weekend away in Auckland with matagouri, trying to knock up some numbers to reach 14,000 finds at my 20th anniversary of geocaching event (GCANR31) in a couple of weeks time. We parked up here with the intention of snaffling the tantalizing trail of caches along the cycle way back towards the airport. The weather was a bit marginal but okay for most of it. Maybe that's why we hardly saw any muggles throughout the day. Well yes, you couldn't miss that sign.Calculations were quickly made, andcthen after a bit of a search, matagouri found the cache. Thanks for setting this up - I love an easy multi!!!
In Auckland again with rattll, seeking to find as many caches as possible prior to a significant milestone for her. Parked the van at Moyle Park, and hauled out the bikes to follow the cycle trail from here back to the airport. As per the cache description, the sign was pretty obvious. Soon had the calculations complete, and worked out the final. The hiding place was a little obscure, but persistence was rewarded with the cache. All in good condition. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
Sadly, this was not an easy multi for us to log - we didn't find it! Though I end this trip on a frustrating DNF I still very much enjoyed our visit here.
Im half-heartedly working to fill my multi calendar and today is an open day! jtcoffee did the math (ha!) and we both searched for 15-20 minutes. It seems theres been some recent upkeep in the area and perhaps the cache was relocated in the process. At any rate, this is a disappointing DNF that Ill be mulling over the entire way home to Seattle!
Having flown in this morning I was off for a day of caching. No problems working out the multi and able to sign a brand new log sheet. Thanks for the cache.
We have visited and put a new final cache in place. Unfortunately, the original final cache was a bit of work and I haven't been able to replicate it yet, so the cache title should really now be "A Really Easy Multi To Film"
It's a llittle bit tricky for us to get to this now as we have moved away from Auckland, but will see if this one can get looked into.
Can CO confirm if the cache is still there or not? The cacher on 6 Oct has claimed to find it but their log implies that like everybody else this year there was nothing at GZ. They have done the same on quite a number of caches recently ("found them" even though some were washed away in the floods and one only had the lid remaining) including one which was disabled because the cache wasn't working.Asking because I'm heading in that direction at the end of the week.
Did the maths, couldn't find the cache though, and now I see it wasn't just me... not sure if this one is still there. I like the idea of it though
Visiting from Ohio, USA and spent the morning geobiking around Auckland. Couldn't find this one today.
Looks like they have tidied up around GZ. Suggest CO checks to see if it is there. Clever use of numbers!!!
I've had a long weekend in Hamilton ahead of a relocation in a few weeks time and have a few hours to spare before my flight back to Nelson. Let's see what caches there are around.
So a DNF from 2019 was rectified tonight. I reworked the numbers and got the same result as before but this time was able to quickly spot the hiding place that I'd obviously overlooked in broad daylight all those years back.
Cheers geocoinnz

Just arrived in NZ and staying the night in an airport hotel.
I just wanted to stretch my legs and so I found two caches.
Very nice multi - I didn’t foresee to walk that additional distance though, but I managed anyhow.
I wasn’t sure for the cache and the CO was helpful in guiding me - thank you

Day 7 of a geocaching holiday in Tāmaki Makaurau. Having been dropped off at the airport early I had time to walk fast to find this sneaky little multi. Has to have a favourite for its sneakiness. Enjoyed finding it. Thanks, geocoinsnz

A nice quick find. A bit of a sneaky hide. Thanks for placing your cache.
I'm in Auckland and I am exploring the region while I am based here. Today was a dry day, I borrowed by bro's bike and cruised around the place. I had a great time.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

With watcache and emiliyah today as we were staying very close to this guy, watcache did the maths .
Was wondering where the final was going to take us for this one thankfully we were able to walk to claim this one.
Clever use of the local signage.
Thanks for the placement and the 3

We had a few minutes up our sleeve before catching the plane home and as we were staying very close by we decided to quickly run out the gate and around the block to this location.
As I was the mathmatician the answer quickly became apparent that we had a walk on our hands ,so off to ground zero which was a very quick find.
Thanks for the placement and the smiley

Had to triple check my calculations before finding the cache container. And very pleased to finally find a hide I could place the Sydney Opera House TB I picked up in Whangarei a couple of weeks ago - have only found caches way too small for it since then. Thanks for the puzzle and hide geocoinsnz. I think I have to give it an FP!
Over this way today to grab a couple of caches along this trail with the bike to speed things up and as I was solo, and not able to have a car at both ends.... Had dropped the teenager at college and parked nearby this cache to start the trail....have been coming here for many years to visit with the kids these little trains, so was happy to see caches added to the area and the cycle way to the airport....
Fav point for this neat little multi with a little kicker for fun....

I had some suspicion as to the final of this multi but decided to run the numbers to check. I took a photo of the sign and done the sums on the way to the next cache. Well, I done one of the sums which confirmed my intuition so was able to pick up the cache on the way back to my parking spot. A well camoed final hidden under branches which meant it took me a few minutes but I got there in the end to complete this walkway with all smileys. A few FTFs in there and some very interesting and creative hides, so thank you for the trail and thanks for tricksy multi!
Out for a socially distanced walk with Anastriel and Lycurgon (my partner). Did the math, scratch our heads, went with it with not much luck. Rechecked the math, realised we didn't start at GZ and then Anastriel made a quick find! TFTC
Took longer than it should have as we calculated the hide from the sign, not from the co-ordinates. Once Reveurs figured that out, we found pretty quickly. Good hide. TFTC
Well I'm not a fan of maths. But thought I give it ago. Info gathering was straight forward then did the maths and doubted the result. Read a couple logs and decided not to do the maths again and went with what I had. To my surprise I had success. Nice camo job here. Left a tb coin for the next finder. Tftc

We were fast running out of time before requiring to head home so decided a quick jog along the walkway was in order to get a few quick finds in succession.
I really enjoyed this one, and that is saying something as we normally don't enjoy Multi caches, this one was fun, the math worked out perfectly!
Worthy of a Favourite.

Nice little multi, indeed. Did the math, got confused. Really? Did it again, same result. Read previous logs. Could it be? Went to GZ and succeeded. Yippie. Nice big container! Cool multi. Tftc
Today was a day for grabbing numbers as we approach a milestone number so we headed here to walk the cycle trail. Here today with Liverkiwi, Lordcacher08, Purply and Darthcacher1. We solved the maths here quickly, but it took a wee bit longer to find this cleverly camoed cache. Favourite point given for the effort put into the camo
Out today with HeMaLuDy to walk along George Bolt Memorial Drive and collect some of the caches that can be found along here. It was a stunning sunny spring day which meant that it was cold, but as long as you stayed in the sun you stayed warm enough to make it bearable.
We did the mathematics required in order to find this cache, but when we searched the area where the cache was supposed to be according to our calculations, we could not find it. So, we checked our computations again and came up with the same numbers confirming our location of the cache. We still couldn't find it so we expanded our search area. In the end, we came up trumps and the cache was found.
The construction of the cache camo was done slightly different from past caches of this type found before, so this will be stored away for future reference.

This biking track had been a plan of attach for Team SEAC for a while now however the originally planned day had to be cancelled due to bad weather.
A couple of days ago the weather was checked and found to be good so the cal went out. Unfortunately due to the late notice there were only 4 that could attend.
We threw our bikes into the back of our cars and headed to the Countdown carpark at the airport and headed to the bike trail to do these caches.
We couldn't believe the math we did on this one so had to do it AGAIN to double check. Yeap we were right.

Had planned this bike ride for a few weeks ago but the weather got in the way. Mrs NZT messaged yesterday to see if anyone was keen to attempt again today and yes we were!
Got to GZ and Mr NZT had not registered that this was a multi so he started hunting around. After putting him right and completing the short task (yes we managed the maths correctly first time around!) we were soon on track for the find...took a little longer than it should have done as it was slightly further away than expected but I soon spotted something that I knew was it and called the others over to sign. Fav point for this one - it was fun!
Thanks for the cache. Found with NZTravellers, Hello Birdie 1 and laval.

No note book for maths calculations so back of the hand note pad to the rescue. Embarrassed to say the final took a little longer to spot, but nice cache construction here thanks. Found with Laval, NZT and Keylev. TFTC!
I got stuck near the airport for the night due to weather, so I took the opportunity to walk along the cycle way to the airport in the morning and find a few along the way. TFTC!!
Passing by this cache on my bike on the way to local Countdown to get some essential stuff. Did not touch container as Covid19NZ lockdown mode on but got the picture of container if any questions. TFTC
Greetings from Scotland. Thanks to the Covid 19 lockdown we are now stuck in a hotel room until we can get our flight home. We decided that, should we be passing any caches on our daily walks from our hotel, we would look with our eyes. If we could see it and could reach it to get the log under normal circumstances, we would photograph the cache having touched nothing, and submit the picture to the CO advising we would delete our log if they did not agree. The motorway is so quiet, much quieter than yesterday. We really liked this multi. Just the type we like. It was easy to gather the information and we stood in the sunshine working out the remaining part. We saw where we had to go and headed there. Again, the coordinates were excellent and we spied what we needed to see.
Photo log has been sent off to the CO so as not to give any spoilers on the page.
*This is our 10618th logged find. Found at 15:39 hrs.* TFTC

Another nice multi-cache visited with woolwood9 today.
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!
*Pretty quick find on a busy day hunting caches in the area, we really enjoyed the drive / walk around.*
TFTC fun cache, soon at final.

Went for a little stroll here this afternoon before my flight home. Everything pretty much as I was expecting. TFTC
My first calculation put me a bit too far away on the other side of the road. Didn't think that could be right so I reworked my sums. That looks better. Still took a bit to track it down. TFTC # 15,202
Find number 6467. My second visit here. Previous visit the maths did not compute so I took the info home and reworked them. Back today for another look. This time I had success. Thank you for the placement.
Gathered the required info and headed into the shade to work out. Headed to the final to make the find then carried back on again. T F T C geocoinsnz.
Time to head back home and I have around an hour to spare before taking the rental van back to it's owners. A chance for a few more in the region before heading to my barren cache-scape of Marlborough. Managed low double-digits today and some good ones in amongst the others.
I'm up in Auckland for the week, with a couple of options for transport and with a healthy choice of 4 evenings plus one late-afternoon at my disposal for caching. Would be remiss of me not to take advantage of what some (km) would call a 'target rich environment'. And so my week was spent well, a count of 75 caches was found, a few DNFs and a plethora of G-2's special cache treats with awesome camo and attachments. Some nice evening weather made things easier, and I averaged a 10km walked each day = nice. Thanks to all COs for their caches, individual logs as/when remembered.

Out for a days geocaching on electric scooters. Had a great day out in the sunshine. It was easy loved the container. Thanks FMZ.
Up in Auckland for the weekend staying at the Ibis .grabbing a few caches with my sister and daughter. Tftc
I dropped off Ms M in Mangere this morning and headed out to Natural High and hired a bike to cache the trail on the cycleway.
Ugh. I always seem to struggle with Multi’s but I really need to persevere to qualify for a Challenge cache I signed recently.
Worked through the numbers and cycled back to the hide for a quick find.
I like that the numbers are nice and big. I didn’t need my glasses.
Thanks for the “Easy” Multi. Worth an FP.

I did this cache a while back and after getting a hand injury which has made typing difficult I have fallen very far behind on my logs sorry. Doing my best to catch up now.
Out walking Albert the Geohound (pre dog attack) here and we had a fun day. Had to admire the item I needed to use to get the final coordinates - if someone manages to muggle that waypoint I will be very impressed!
After calculating the final I headed over there and had a bit of a look for the cache. Looks like either the previous finder or a muggle might have decided to take it on themselves to make it harder to find but got there in the end.
Thanks for the cache, all good here.

Not gonna lie, we spotted the final before we even begun the challenge we did it anyway just Incase but yep that’s it! TFTC
Scotty and Kiwi escaping the wet North Shore and scooting along the sunny Mangere cycle/walking path collecting a few caches along the way. Finding one, skipping one so we have some caches to collect on the return journey. The furthest south we will be rolling today. Took a few minutes to locate due to not being exactly at gz before projecting our calculations. Expanded our search area by a few metres and came up trumps. Another good job on the camo. TFTMulti
I had promised to bring my niece and nephews back to complete the remainder of the caches along the Mangere cycleway today on our scooters. While in the area we decided to come and find the caches around the airport area hoping that it would be quiet early this morning.
The kids helped call out all the numbers needed for the calculation before I did the maths. The boys then searched before we realised we weren't quite in the right location. We re-adjusted and immediately spotted the cache.

Out on a cool Saturday finding what we can, Thanks for placing this cache
Another dot day to clear so came along here again after work to grab a couple. This one was my target last time but the GPS batteries died before I got here and I did not have the spares. Nice easy find, TFTC.
For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 7 caches today. I won't grumble if I find one or two more. I decided that there were more than enough if I went back out Magere way..It was another day to get the bike out to do this trail.
Got the numbers and travelled the great distance to the cache.
Cheers for the cache

So, conference in the CBD has finished, I'm back at the airport at 5pm and my flight doesn't leave until 8.25pm. Thank goodness for geocaching...
I grabbed the numbers I needed on my way into the city the other day. Did the maths, got some numbers but given it was now dark did not feel suitable inclined to look where my phone was suggesting I needed to look. Next time.

This was our last cache of the day & we almost turned it into our hardest one. Did the maths & then wondered/wandered for a bit. Hmmm. By pure fluke AV2 says she had found it. Thank goodness. Think our maths must have been a bit shonky as it wasnt quite where were looking. TFTC
After our trouble at the puzzle up the path a bit i was hesitant to tackle this one so close to lunch time when the kids may be less patient. It looked a little hard at face value but glad we tried as it wasn't hard at all! Yay! Nice camo 'container' too, big enough to drop some items for any kids (big or small!) who come by. thank you for the clever multi
Caching today with Themexikiwi and tried our luck here.
Not too many issues to be had with the maths here and we were soon signing the log after looking in a likely area.
Nicely done. TFTC

We have been trying to rack up points to get the latest souvenir, so we walked a little bit extra for this one (worth 10 points). Had to double check our answers to this multi and even then it took some time to get to the correct gz. Found the obvious cache soon after. Thanks!
Did the maths in our head and double checked it with a calculator and got the same result, so off we went. Michaelteacher spotted this just a bit further than where coordinates pointed us to. One of the easier multis we've done. Tftc
#622. The solve was easy enough... however I got annoyed with the CO at GZ. A zillion possible hiding places and no hint, on a difficulty 1? GRRRRRRR
I was there at least 15 minutes looking. I nearly gave up several times, but since it was late and there was nobody around and I probably won't come back again, and I haven't got a multi for ages, I thought I better persevere. And thankfully I did... I found it in the end.
It probably would have been easier during the day when I didn't have to search with a torch. You don't have to climb anything to find it!
Thanks for the cache!

I haven't done a multi for quite a while but had time to do this one while cycling past. Enjoyed the maths.TFTC
Got to the GZ and easily obtained the required info. Working out the answers took a bit of time but geowife managed to grab it in the end. Thanks CO a fav point from us.
Worked out the maths a few time then walked to GZ - very clever. TFTC

This time, I am not travelling by air ambulance but am on a normal vacation instead.
Kind of normal at least...
My main destination is the South Pacific but as I am using up some air miles to get there my routing is not exactly straight...
At the moment I have 4 hours between flights on my way from Buenos Aires to Fiji. Enough time to enter the country and find a few caches near the airport. It was way better to stretch my legs than killing all my time in a lounge...
What else would you do at 5 AM?
I had solved this one beforehand using google earth.... Also doing the maths was straight forward. But I spent a long time searching for the jar! Eventually, I noticed something and was able to *log* my find .

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Feeling better today, though not quite running at a hundred percent. At least we are heading home this afternoon...
We decided to return to the State Highway 20A Cycleway to finish what we couldn’t yesterday... This multi gave us some grief because of a couple of glitches in the maths. The calculations didn’t add up according to my Maths Teacher brain, so we ran with the possibilities... Is this really an easy multi? Cunning, yes! TFTC.

My first work trip of the new year brings me to Auckland for the week. Today I had some spare time to go and find a few caches. I had a good laugh once I worked out the final coordinates. Found the cache after a short search once I got there. Nicely done. TFTC, Biggles.
Quick find this afternoon with eltee291. Worked out the numbers, no problem, and then found the cache. Very cool cache/camo job! Signed the log and replaced as found. Visiting from Victoria, BC, Canada. Thanks for the nice multi cache, geocoinsnz!
Found this evening withe hingis20. Managed to get all the info we needed for the projection and then we were off to track down the cache. Very interesting multi and just as interesting cache holder. We have a fair bit of time to spare between flights so we decided to go for a (long) walk along this path and seek out the geocaches hidden here. On our way back to Victoria, BC, Canada after a wonderful vacation on the south island where we were visiting my daughter and here family - and geocaching of course. TFTC
Being numericaly challenged i did not solve this on location but took a photo last time i was out here to solve it back home. Well i solves it last night, with some amusement. Today i jumped in the bike to the ride to GZ. It wasn't raining when i left but started shortly after, with that and the traffic diversion, it was not as much fun as i had hopped for. The things we do for a cache
Ha ha ha.....Really loved this one.
Best of the day so far!
Was a little worried cos not very good at maths.
But so lucky I have a good brain!

Wasn't sure if I'd worked this out correctly, but a systematic search turned up this great cache hide, cheers
Have been on a super holiday to NZ staying with friends at Gulf Harbour since Xmas Day. We’ve had a brilliant time but now have to head back to Australia and work..
We visited Butterfly Creek today which was fun and afterwards our friends dropped us at the Ibis.
I left the geohusband behind with a box of beer and headed along the bike track to collect some caches. Had a huge walk which I really enjoyed. Super variety of hides some were easy, some tricky and enjoyed the puzzle and multi thrown in too. Had to revisit a couple of tricky bisons on the return journey.
thanks to all the cache owners for this super trail.
Super multi very nicely done. Another for my multi tally trying to do one a week minimum this year, one down!
TFTC and greetings from Adelaide Australia

As I was approaching this multi, I was thinking, "How do you multi here?" Well the maths soon told me that and after extending the search a tad, the cache was soon in hand. Gotta give an FP for this. Took TB TFTC
Full marks on this trail by the airport, I am sure our overseas guests appreciate your efforts - not to mention our domestic ones. TB+ T4tc
Parked on the dead end part of Montgomerie Rd and set off on the bikes to get some caches. Did the maths for this one in my head but couldn't find it, then did the maths on the phone and got the same answer so widened the search and found it. TFTC
When avoyager and I did the other caches along this part of the walkway we noticed a gap so expected a cache to be published here. No problems with the maths and the cache was soon located. Out today with some other cachers so abbreviated caching handles were the order of the day to save space. Thanks for another cache along the way. Cheers
Found on a hot walk with Team Welsh and Mrcleverclogs. Lucky Mrs TW had a great calculator on her phone and the cache was located. Nice hide.
