Logs
On our way to the airport, we did a lap around the block and stopped here. Easy find and retrieve. Signed and returned. All good.
A further tweak for this cache today, we replaced the black zip tie around the branch, and encourage finders to hook the cache back onto the black loop when they return it.The aim is to discourage it from creeping around the bush.
After noting the logs referring to a full logbook, we were in town today so attempted to replace the sheet. Unfortunately we could not find the cache, even with a wider search than expected. After sending notes to recent finders for info on what and where they found the cache, a very helpful, prompt response from Nakored led us to the butterfly.A new log is in place, the cache is returned to the spot described in the hint.
Very lovely find! Was going around with my dad and found it. Some kids were playing nearby but didn't give us any attention. The logsheet defo needs to be replaced tho! There wasn't enough space to write our names down, so I scratched in some initials round the top :")
Returning from Gold Coast to Auckland, but had to make a 5 hour stopover in Wellington. Oh well, a good excuse for a couple of hours walk to find some nearby caches ... Couldn't spot this one from the footpath, so was over the fence when four young guts passed by on their bikes. "Are you geocaching?" they called out. Ah, yes.... Seems like they knew about caching and were eager to show me where the cache was hidden. Oh well, that saved a minute or two... Log paper is very full and needs replacement. TFTC
Staying at the Rydges airport hotel and woke super early. So not to wake the wife came out for an early morning stroll. Started searching wrong tree but refocused quickly to have cache in hand. All intact here though could do with some more log paper.
After getting to the airport super-early, I had time to walk down to look for this one. I needed four finds today to get my date total up to ten, with this being the third & the fourth hopefully coming over the ditch in the dark tonight! It was another beautiful day with wall to wall blue skies, so it was a lovely walk down to GZ. There were some lads playing football in the park, but too far away to notice me or what I was doing. This took a few minutes, trying from different angles before I spotted the themed container. All was well so I soon had my name added to the almost full logsheet before I retraced my steps to resume our travels to Brisbane. Found at 12:53Cache #10368TFTC Butterfly_Lady
After spending most of the week in Wellington, attending a conference, it's time to head to the airport for my flight home. After checking I'm I realized I had sufficient time to walk to this ground zero and back, before going to the gate. So, that is what I did. I walked the 600 odd metres and soon found myself at ground zero. After a brief search I soon spotted what I was expecting to find. Cheers for the cache placement!
Grabbed a parking spot at BK and bought myself a disappointing 'meal'. Headed here with a little time up my sleeve (my watch) and after circling the host spotted the cache. Nice hide here and replaced as found after signing. Headed back up the road past the scowling Uber drivers and then on foot to meet mrs c.After a couple of months in UK attending to a relative mrs c is back in town today, Welly airport to be exact so I took a couple of days off to head South and collect her and have an extended weekend break too. Out of the house early, but no too much so, and a steady trip towards the destination, 1330 collection, and time for a couple of therapeutic stop-offs. Thanks to all COs whose placements contributed to my fun today.
Thought this would stand out quite obviously but those creatures have some great camouflage sometimes!

Got to the airport early to find out that my flight was delayed for 3 hours, so what do you do with 4 hours to kill and an ok weather on your hands? Geocaching of course! XDTFTC!
Had a four hour wait for our flight and it was a beautiful day! So we went off geocaching of course! This one was found on the ground so we put it in a suitable place. A favourite point from me! Tftc
I was looking in totally the wrong place for about 5 mins.. but then I looked somewhere different and hey... Presto.. a cache container was sighted. Cheers for the smiley
Quick find late this afternoon. Had a loan of my friends bike today and had a great time visiting different spots around Miramar today. It is the perfect way to get around to all the different spots. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Today we flew from Sydney to Wellington. It was a nice sunny day when we arrived. We left our luggage at the hotel at the airport and went for a few caches. We almost made it. A storm and rain caught us as we reached the last cache.Greetings from Finland Thank you for this cache.
We (raija485 and I) have few days to search geocaches and explore the city at the same time. As for the weather, it's really nice to be here and move around (as long it's not raining). Thanks for the cache and greetings from Finland!
I used to train for softball here as a child (when there was a school was here)Enjoyed finding this hide and is a fave for me. TFTC
Found before my flight to Melbourne then drive to Adelaide for the leap day mega
I had a short stop at wellington airport on my way to Invercargill to see the burt Munro challenge and hunted for a couple of caches while i waited. Quickly spotted from the footpath and then dove into the park to collect it. The voodoo tramp, marks frog and mystery at the museum visited this cache. Thankyou for the cache.
Awesome thanks, never knew this park was here. Thanks for bringing us here, avgas fumes not withstanding.
Little bit harder to spot in the dark but that's my fault. Had to contort a little bit to get this one out but it was a simple find and one that I'd had my eye on for a while. Tftc
Cute!! Found while waiting to pick up sister-in-law from airport. Made for a pleasant interlude. TFTC
I needed to drop some family members to the airport today which gave me a chance to look for some caches over this side of Wellington and make a start on this month's wheel of challenges. A quick find of the cute cache. TFTC
Nice hide, got spotted by a muggle but seemed a bit preoccupied with some runaway puppies
The last day of seven in Wellington having caught up with the teen whom is on semester break from Canterbury Uni. and went to a show and caught up with friends, and now time to fly back to our respective homes.... The teen had already departed for Christchurch, and I was waiting for my flight to Auckland, and the wind was starting to play havoc with the flights, unbeknown to me, as I was out finding a few caches....(just one more cache.....) then home....
TFTC.

No rest for the wicked, and no rest for those with tall lumbering bodies - I spotted the cache quite quickly but elected to do a direct approach rather than find an easier (closer) approach. Made friends with a few branches but came away with a find. Lovely container, TFTC
A couple of free hours between flights today gave us the opportunity to shoot out and grab a couple of caches nearby. TFTC
Out for the day into Wellington with Bkj97 and Little Blue Hen, with guidance from Bkj97 it was a quick find. TFTC
Today I was due to pick up my son from Wellington Airport as he returns from his OE. But it was a beautiful day, so I was happy to drive out a couple of hours early to do a bit of casual caching whilst I waited for his plane to land.
I used to regularly visit this area as easy (and budget) parking for when picking up or dropping off relatives to the airport. Most of that time was before I discovered Geocaching. So now it's good to come back again and look at things differently.
Parking by GZ, there was no-one else around as I first spotted the cache, and then did a cheeky hop over to retrieve and sign. No issues to report here.
Thanks for setting this one up.

#21950. The last cache of our Wellington trip. There are signs all around the site saying to keep out due to construction work. I found I could retrieve the cache by leaning over the fence. Currently the heavy machinery is on the southern part of the area, well away from GZ. Nice cache camo. TFTC.
The second of two caches found while waiting for our flight back to ChCh.
GZ seemed to be inside a construction zone, but StreetWalkerNZ was able to lean over the fence to retrieve.
Cool wee cache. TFTC.

A quick find but it took a little longer to get close enough to retrieve the cache. All good. Thanks for the hide.
Great hide. A nice walk at the end of a conference day at the airport. Needed the fresh air and love that geocaching gave me the motivation. TFTC
Quick find whilst waiting for my flight to the Chatham Islands. Fav point for the ingenuity. TFTC
Mum is helping me log all my caches that I haven't logged yet.Found with Mum (LL113) and Dad (GNARwhal).
What does one do on their wedding anniversary during the school holidays?? Go Geocaching with GeoHubby (GNARwhal) and GeoDaughter (UnicornLex) of course!!!
Lex made the find here. Very easy to spot. Since she found it she got to do the honours of going over the fence to get it! She didn’t much like this idea as there was a big sign saying no public access while the area is under construction. But she took one for the team. lol
