Cache was lying on the rock, in full view of a keen spotter. Have replaced it behind the rock and grass (no fern). Thanks for bringing me back here to my childhood playground.

The logbook was dry, good weatherproof container.

Super cache hidey spot. What a location!! Just came out from 3 days biking the Heaphy with kids; the cache was a fun finale, thank you.

Message from the owner:As the cache seems to be missing I ask one of the next visitors to leave a micro container with a logbook there. This should help me to keep this cache and location active.Any next finder of this location - even without a container - receives a log release.

Found the fern & stone at what we feel was the right place but no container there. Pretty sure the cache has gone.

Awesome cache found this afternoon with JacquiMay99 after a short hunt. Continued up to the Scotts Hill lookout after to check out the view, awesome part of NZ!

What a beautiful sight, coming over the ridge and seeing the carpark at the end of the Heaphy track. A quick find to successfully complete the journey. Tffc!!

A very wet day, but during a break in the rain we wandered to the swing bridge. Great hint, we didnt even need gps! TFTC

A nice quick find on our walk today. Lovely camping spot here but be prepared for lots of sandflies.

Staying in Westport, drove up here today for a look, always keen to walk across a swing bridge, beautiful bush up here with the Nikau Palms, very different than anywhere else we've been. Thanks

One last smiley face before we finish this amazing walk and head off back to our day to day lives. The heaphy has been amazing and Im definitely keen to come back and explore a bit more!

I have fond memories of visiting this bridge about 25 years ago with my grandmother not long before she passed away. We came to Karamea so that she could show me where she grew up. She'd walked most of the great walks in the south island but not the Heaphy in spite of growing up in Karamea and living the rest of her life in Takaka and Nelson and she'd never even been to Kohaihai and wanted to be able to say she had walked the start of the Heaphy so we walked as far as the other side of the bridge and back. I saw a different side of her on that trip, she was wasn't an 85 year old frail woman she became a 5 year old girl again as she walked along this track and even dared to walk a wooden plank over a creek near her childhood home that looked like it could have been the same one she'd used all those years ago on her way to school. This morning arriving at the bridge brought all those memories back so of course I had to walk over the bridge after finding the cache in memory of her. The river was well up after last nights heavy rain. Cache was a nice easy find. Thanks for bringing me back here. I'm hoping next time I cross this bridge I will be walking the whole track.#15032

A nice walk and a quick find. What a beaut spot. Camped at the campsite for the night and got plaqued by mice. TFTCPlease accept my late log. I am rather(very) behind in my logging. I can provide proof of find if needed.

Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are currently parked up at the DoC Campsite at Kohaihai … after arriving here & getting set up we decided to go up & have a look at Scott’s Lookout … decided we’d better do this cache while on the way there … this cache was easily found, log completed & replaced … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #4,077 for us.

I had to wait out a large group of very loud visitors from the US who have just finished the Heaphy to come past, take photos, and give me a hard time for just admiring the bridge -when they have walked the who length of the trail! Quick find once I had the area to myself. TFTC!!

I walked past this cache site a few days ago when I was in a bit of a hurry and it was sort of playing on my mind that I had missed an opportunity, knowing the chances of re-visiting this region any time soon were not high. Having finished my planned caching activities earlier than expected, I made a spur of the moment decision to make the short drive to see if I could find the cache. The weather was much finer which meant than Tuesday which meant plenty more people using the track. I certainly needed the hint to find this cache which is in great condition.

Last cache of the track - we had a wonderful few days exploring and enjoying good company. Quick find and then just around the corner it was time to take off the shoes! TFTC!

Found while staying at this beautiful doc camp while traveling the south island

Quick find this time. Picking up cyclists from Heaphy. Nice morning. TFTC

Day 12 of three weeks winter motorhoming in the upper half of the South Island. Drove from overnight stop at Mokihinui Beach to Karamea and the start of the Heaphy Track today, before returning to last night’s spot again. Picked up a few caches along the way.

Walked from the start of the track to the top of the hill and down to Scotts Beach, collecting the two available caches en route. This was a quick find. #4147. TFTC.

Absolutely stunning day, beautiful bridge and forest reflections. Wonderful walk through Nikau trees.

After dropping Mr. B of to do the Fenian cave track, Tinytree and I headed up to explore this area. Managed to get close to GZ before realising I had no cell coverage, went back to car park where I had cell coverage and took a screen shot of the cache & hint. Walked back out to GZ and found we'd left the pen in the car. Walked back to parking lot, retrieved pen and back out to GZ for a quick find (finally). What a stunning place, so glad we made the trek. TFTC

The last find on the final day of our Heaphy Track adventure with the extended whanau (party of . This was a quick find due to the great clue, which was appreciated as we were feeling the journey in all the limbs, soaked through after rain for half the last leg, and looking forward to a shower eventually after the long trip back to Christchurch. TFTC!

It was a nice quick find as we started our tramp to Heaphy hut. We stepped out of the car into a cloud of voracious sandflies which provided a good incentive to get going!

I came to this one with DieMannschaft on our Great Walk Adventure.
In the end, we were able to find them all. What an amazing walk!!
Nearly at the end of our walk, so a little sad.

Together with 8ManAfter, I walked the Heaphy Track. We checked on all caches on the track and found them all. On our way out from the Heaphy Track, this was our last cache of the day. TFTC

A quick stroll up the Heaphy for a couple of hours before turning back. A quick find once we got the past counting correct. TFTC!!!

Our final day and the last 16 km walk out of the park to Kohaihai. A sharp start out from the hut as we have a connection to make but good progress being made despite the rain which has now drenched us.

And so all good things come to an end. Stopped at the bridge to reflect on the 78-odd km just walked and would gladly do it all again tomorrow. A great time.

I was at the Kohaihai campground when Holymu did maintenance on this cache. Located it later on my way to Scotts Hill. Thank you H.M.A. for this cache and Holymu for maintaining it.

We never tire of visiting this area and had an even better excuse when we realised this cache needed some maintenance. While Hazedarus established camp I popped out to check on this and a short while later he stopped to find it on our way to Scots Hill Lookout.
The cache has a new waterproof log and a few strategically placed rocks to stop it wandering again.
My TB, Maultaschen Geocoin TB8PWPG especially enjoyed visiting this cache as it was generously gifted to me by this CO.
Thank you H_M_A for the excuse to spend a few days here.
