Heading up to Gisborne for work so of course Im gonna nab a few caches on the way up. This one was a nice little park n grab close to my old swimming hole when I was a kidCache in good nick Mihi ki a koe mo te keteroki #364
A quick find! Nevertheless, a driver going the other way slowed down to check I was ok. TFTC!!
Travelling from Manawatu to Hawkes Bay today, and caching along the way! This was our fourth find of the day (and Bapgirl's first). Thankfully we were heading the right way, so no crossing of the road required, and made for a quick find at GZ in between passing traffic. TFTC!
Thanks for a nice easy find! Have taken Mr 9y/o out to geo & we havent had much luck until now.
What should have been a super quick find took a little longer as over looked it on first search. Nicely tucked away in its spot.Heading back home to Hawkes bay after a quick day trip to palmy.Thank you renelm for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 4927
A small group of us from Team SEAC consisting of Keylev, Stik-A-Crane, Uncle Sam and ourselves had come down from Auckland to spend the long weekend caching in the Manawatu area. The plan was to get as many as possible. Along the way we had some great adventures, many laughs, met some interesting people and found a wide selection of caches. Signed SEAC to save space on the log. TFTC.A day out today heading up to Apiti and then back down through Pohangina. Nice quick find here.
Day 3 of our caching trip to Palmerston North area with HeMaLuDy, UncleSamNZ, Keylev, and myself, signing in as SEAC or TEAM SEAC to save logbook space. A big thanks to all the CO's for cache placement and maintenance, making this trip the success that it was.TFTC.
Day #3 of the Team SEAC extra long weekend little road trip for Labour Weekend.Short drive up for a nice quick find. Thanks for the cache
A bit of night caching with the gang.Small group of caching buddies drove down from Auckland for the long weekend, and headed for Palmerston North area. Sorry for the generic posts, but we had so many caches to find.Had a great time, with so many laughs. Thanks to all the Cache owners who placed the caches. This was day 3 of our trip. All logs signed "SEAC" or "Team Seac"
Having been up in Wanganui for the weekend (as I often am) I had to head (back) over to Ashurst on Sunday morning for some work related maintenance. After that was done, as I had had a nice early start to my day, I decided to do some of the caches in the area and this was one of them.
I have passed by this cache several times, usually when I am in a hurry to get tot he other side of the hills. Today I was not, so a quick stop and the cache was in hand.
---
Thanks to renelm for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

Took longer that it should but still found pretty fast I’m now at 199 finds! TFTCSL!
It is indeed a mint tin! A road I will travel over many times in the next few weeks. Probably spent too much time looking for it as I was expecting it to be in the same place as similar hides in HK. TFTC.
Junior was at a swim meet in Feilding so decided to pick up these caches before it was time to pick Junior up. Straight forward find. Tftc

This was a super quick find by torchlight - thankfully as we are starting to grow tired and will need to stop for the night soon. TFTC

After a lovely night at Bettina's B&B in Woodville, we did a few geocaches as we started the final day of our trek homeward after attending a funeral in Woodbury (Woodville's South Island cousin). Almost missed this one as it was so well tucked away. TFTC.
Affirmative, it is. Nice and easy here and this was really attractive in it's place. All good and up the road a little for one more 20/20 next.
A second full weekend in the area and with early Autumn temperatures preceding a (likely) week of rain I was keen to get out and about for a days local caching. mrs c works on a Sunday at the minute so after dropping her off in Feilding I had a 'plan' of heading up the Pohangina Valley on one side of the river then return back on the other. My over-ambitious pocket query had a great number of possible options, though as the day wore on, and the dust accumulated on the Tiida I reined myself back in a little. Was still a great day to be out, nice and sunny, hardly any wind, and a haul of 64 caches, with 6 DNFs. Thanks to all COs but mostly watcache and Mar1sa for their prolific offerings.

On a caching adventure around Palmerston North, having not too many problems so far
Thanks renelm for the cache, on my way to start the Stickman puzzle series, but could not resist stopping for this one!

I have stayed the night in Palmy with rustynz, we have completed a few epic adventures together the last few days. I got my 10,000th cache on a virtual cache on Mnt Ruapehu and we have completed the daunting task of getting T-2 and staying at Totara hut up the Waiohine river for a night. Heading around Ashurst today, trying to get as many as of the 20/20 puzzle caches I have solved, about half of them. No worries with this cache, I see rusty has been here before me today as she headed off to do the stickman series of puzzles while I concentrate on 20/20.
WITHOUT MINTS!!!! A quick find and a long drive. Thanks for the cache and sorry for the very late log!!
I wasn't sure about the parking at GZ (and as I wasn't continuing on) so I parked up at the nearby driveway and walked over. Somebody must have lost a bag of corn because there was a big pile of it spread around on the shoulder. Reached GZ and quickly found the cache. Hope to see you back in NZ at the next Mega event that you're able to attend (who knows, we may be open by January). All good here, and TFTC
Since we needed to head Palmy way for some farm related tasks, and do some maintenance on one of our caches, we decided to head a little further afield and knock off another bunch of these 20/20 puzzles and the odd other one.
I made the mistake of not spotting the hide immediately and crossing the road to check the other side - then it took forever to get back across again in the busy muggle traffic, to then find the cache instantly where I'd looked the first time - doh!
Thanks for putting this here for us to find

Another one where I wouldn’t have found it if my partner wasn’t with me lol well camouflaged and love the token in it (left it for others to enjoy)
no problems finding this one.
just be real careful with the traffic
cars appear so quickly from either direction.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Easter weekend is upon us. We’ve been looking forward to this holiday - it’s a chance to take a big swipe at the PWGT2 caches. We’re also keen to pick off some interesting hides and avenge one or two previous DNFs...
Persistent traffic made this a bit more challenging - especially when needing to cross the road. A quick find otherwise... Thanks renelm and TFTC.

Another day in Palmy, another cache to find. Admitably not in Palmy. Mainlly because today is a puzzle cache dot day. No solved puzzles in town, which is why I am out this way. For a traditional. Of course!
Anyway, a nice easy find, and I dropped in a path tag. Right, now... a puzzle ccache. Soomewher eup this road...

I am out today finding the 20/20 series and any other cache that gets in the way.
I found this one so I wouldn't have to return some other day. TFTC.

Driving past here on the way to the 20/20 series of caches and made a quick stop and quick find. Thanks.
And so it is! I see I'm not the first to visit today... following stardust718. All good here and not too much traffic. T.F.T.C.
Up from Wellington for a day's caching in the region, and heading back into Ashurst via the Saddle Road. A quick and easy find in the first place I put my hand. Signed log, TFTC
Found while driving through from a visit to Taradale after a few days in Waipukurau cycling in the area. Lots of quiet scenic roads and manageable hills. Thanks for the cache.
#8058. This is the last day of our geocaching road trip. We had been up to Gisborne and back finding TMGT caches and stayed at Dannevirke hoping to dWeo the Stickmen series today. But the weather has let us down. It is dense cloud and drizzle turning to light rain as you head up hill. So had to abandon that plan. Picking up a few more caches around Woodville before we cross over to Ashhurst. Well its Level 2 now. COVID19 is almost gone from NZ. Its safe to cache once again. Parked nearby and wandered over to GZ for a quick find and sign. Had to wait for cars to stream past before replacing the container. Thanks renelm for hiding it here.
Disabled until the Corona-situaton is under control and to limit cacher-to-cacher infection (not that anyone of you are out geocaching in a level 4 emergency. right?)
I can just about see GZ from home so it's surprising I've waited so long to find this one. But now I'm glad I did with today being 02/02/20. AND I was the 2nd to sign the log today Master 5 helped me make the quick find between the traffic. TFTC
Day three of my road trip from Auckland to Nelson in my newly acquired convertible cachemobile. Finding a few caches along the way. No problems here. Cache found in the first place I checked. TFTC, Biggles.
last find of the day, have passed this one a few times now but today was the day to make the find, thanks for the placement.
Hi renelm, thanks for taking the time to leave a cache here such a long way from home. I trust you're all set to make it to another NZ Mega next year. Cheers .
Well so it is - what a novelty! Quick park and grab on our way past today. TFTC # 14,895
Stopped and visited while on a roadtrip to attend an Auto-Trail motorhome rally in Masterton. Couldn’t drive past this one TFTC.
Last find on a pleasant drive in the Pohangina Valley this afternoon. Thanks for this drive-by renelm.
Day 9
Stay in Palmerston North for 2 nights. Today travelling to Porangahau for caching day. Beautiful view while driving. Found it. Thanks renelm for placing this cache
Greetings from Melbourne, Australia

# 1730 I couldn't resist stopping for this one as I was just on the other side of the bridge gunning for the t 4. Yup as previous log said it was indeed a mint tin and placed exactly where one would expect it to be. Easy parking available which made me happy cos this is a busy road. Cheers renelm for this one.
`After dropping the kids off at Auntie's for a last-of-the-school-holidays sleep over, I took a detour on the way home to pick this one up to help tick off another dot-day.
I parked at the driveway about 130m from the cache and walked to GZ with vehicles whizzing past me. I didn't enjoy this much, but it's all in a day's caching.
Easy find at GZ and the cache is all in order.
Thanks for helping me tick off another Dot-Day (only 16 left on my calendar!), and for the "Detective" clue+souvenir of the current Mystery at the Museum promotion.

As I was in the area today for the cito event it was time to visit this cache as I have been past this site on more than one occasion but have been towing a large item and has not been an easy park and grab so as this large item was no longer behind me I had plenty of room to pull over and park the car to venture towards ground zero.
On arriving at ground zero there was a heck of alot of cars and trucks going passed so I waited them out until the coast was clear, once the coast was clear I picked the write moment to grab the cache thinking I knew where it would be hidden but alas it was not there but I had retrieved it from the second place I tried.
On the opening of the container I reached and pulled out the logbook to sign, then sighned my name and replaced the logbook back into its container and replaced the cache exactly where found and returned back to my car which I waited patiently for the traffic to clear so i do a you turn and head back the way I came .
Thanks very much for the placement of this cache and the smiley

#10,644. Managed to find a parking spot not too far away on Saddle Road in Ashhurst. GZ was all quiet when we visited. Quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
