This was much easier to find after finding the last one. Thanks again for the hide.
Another nicely crafted hide here. And thanks to the Auckland City Council for building us Geocachers a geocaching lane to find caches on as we never see a bicycle on these overgrown weedy paths! TFTC
I'm in Auckland for a couple of days and for a change it has nothing to do with work (up the Irons!). So I've got nothing to stop my caching activities except being limited to public transport. Maybe I'll spot a Yeti with his very distinctive coat (GCAT2T2). (I didn't but I know he was up the front there somewhere).Another one down. Winds getting quite strong. All good here, and thank you to geocoinsnz for the placement of your Traditional Cache.Find #7110 at 17 September 2024 1:57pm
Quick find here, one log found on ground out in open. The log found in cache was pretty soggy. Tftc
I was in Auckland to watch my sister who was up from Christchurch paying in the National brass band competitions. I had a bit of spare time while she was at a rehearsal this morning and decided to go for a walk in search of a couple of caches.I took offence here signed the log and replaced this clever disguise. The voodoo tramp, team Datt and going geocaching 2017 visited this cache and decided to go for a ride on the nearby bicycle. Thankyou for the cache.
Up in the big smoke for a day or two , so a quick walk to night after a few flights to Auckland. So it was great to strech to legs and pick up this one .A short surch so had what i was looking for in hand did get a spot on the log but now time to replace. Thank for the hide Log full Getting out and about in to the out doors is my happy place so any excuse to go caching. As if I need an excuse aahhh nop I will go rain hail or snow so let's goooo and have as much fun and adventures as possible tomorrow may never come and we never know what tomorrow may hold for us all just do it Life is short. Live life one foot step at a time.Never say" I'm gonna "- Just do it!! Tomorrow may never come just grab Life by the horns Thanks for the hide tftc
Having a weekend away in Auckland with matagouri, trying to knock up some numbers to reach 14,000 finds at my 20th anniversary of geocaching event (GCANR31) in a couple of weeks time. We parked up here with the intention of snaffling the tantalizing trail of caches along the cycle way back towards the airport. The weather was a bit marginal but okay for most of it. Maybe that's why we hardly saw any muggles throughout the day. Spotted this one straight away. Thanks for putting it here
In Auckland again with rattll, seeking to find as many caches as possible prior to a significant milestone for her. Parked the van at Moyle Park, and hauled out the bikes to follow the cycle trail from here back to the airport. All quiet at GZ, found after a short search. Log dry, signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
After having returned our camper van after 5 weeks driving across New Zealand I walked back to the hotel and came across this cache here. TFTC says Fischus
Having flown in this morning I was making my way north on foot. Quickly spotted what was required. Thanks for the cache.
Day 1: The Route from the AirportWe arrived in New Zealand just after lunch, and with half a day left, what better way to kick off my third trip to NZ than to hit the ground (or runway, in this case) running? The trail leading out from the airport was a tempting choice, and despite the rain, I opted to go for it. My luggage and partner headed for my sisters place first, while I stayed behind at the airport to get the business here done. After 4 hours, with a slight bit of rain, a successful cache run was completed and I could get back in time for dinner!(End of the cut and paste bit)This is the specific log for this cache:Nice and easy one here - its a simple yet elegant container that works really well for its location. Not many places to hide a cache here, so it really makes the best of a difficult location. TFTC!
Second for me in this series, looks like the little spiders love this type of hide. TFTC
Today we arrived in New Zealand, and to keep awake we made a small walk finding some geocaches. This was one of them.Greetings from Team Camperfietser
I am starting the work day down Manukau way this morning, for the last time in a while, and decided to start the day off with an early morning walk. I parked up in the Williams Park car park and started my stroll. After finding "the end...or only" I continued my way down to this ground zero. GPSr was a little jumpy here so it took a little longer to spot this one than the previous hide. Right, time to head around and walk the other way for a bit. Cheers for the exercise and the cache placement!
While waiting at the nearby motel, I checked the map and found 4 or 5 caches close enough to grab while just otherwise sitting around. This was number 1 of 4.Had a bit of a time with sat lock, putting me anywhere up to 10 m away from actual GZ. Eventually I started thinking like a cacher. A slightly different pattern of cache was a nice reward in the end. Thanks from Adelaide.
Visiting from Ohio, USA and spent the morning geobiking around Auckland. Love these sneaky hides.
Today we are in the area of Auckland. We also visited this tradi, found it, and signed the logbook.

Very quick find, we found one almost identical to this about 5 minutes earlier. We didn't take offence to it.
Log was full so we signed over the top of an old, smudged log.

Found with Kat33, Mumzi and TheGrunch. Greeting's from Calgary, Canada! So after three years of waiting and a few small trips here and there when we were able it was time for the family four to head out on a huge international adventure! The primary destination for this trip has been discussed at length for many years due to it being a bucket list site of TheGrunch who has for a long time yearned to visit the land of Aotearoa/New Zealand! Well yearn no more! With restrictions lessening and it being easier to travel it was time to hit up this country! Our trek started shortly after lunch in Calgary on Wednesday, February 15th and, after a layover in Vancouver, after one 13.5 hour flight we were landing in Auckland at shortly after 6am on Friday, February 17th. Were able to drop off our bags at our hotel which was also close to a series of caches so how better to start getting acclimatized? Marched for a couple of hours and were able to find 12 caches with some of them being pretty cool! Were able to get checked in and had a low key evening. Today we hauled off and made our way downtown where we really enjoyed the walk checking out the sites. Could see some of the recent damage from the flooding and the cyclone . Found three caches today, one traditional and two virtuals while also picking up a travel buddy. This cache was cache 7 of 12 and was found on 2023.02.17 at 9:57:00 AM for a total of 5031. TFTC geocoinsnz!
This was a bit tougher to find than the others today, but eventually jup spotted it. As others have mentioned, the log is full, but I managed to squeeze our names on the side.
Log full but manage to sign on side. Shame you can’t bring scooters on a plane
Feeling around found it. Signed Joolay and KK.
So exciting to be heading to NZ. Have not been to the NI so looking forward to exploring. Did not make it to the last Mega because of Covid so wonderful Kittykatch and I can get here now.
Thanks for getting me out and about geocoinsnz

I've had a long weekend in Hamilton ahead of a relocation in a few weeks time and have a few hours to spare before my flight back to Nelson. Let's see what caches there are around.
It looked like someone nearby had tried to take the fence but the cache was still carefuly tucked away in its well-crafted camo.
Thanks geocoinnz

Next cache found with Tramyard on our bikes in the perfect weather this afternoon. Having just come from the end (or maybe just the beginning?), I knew what I was looking for here. Just like with the previous, all good with this one! Thanks for placing it!

Found as ambling along in the sun. Squeezed my name on the log, but time for a new one. TFTC.
Another good hiding spot tucked away.
No offence taken- although someone did try to take the fence out along here recently with a car obviously.
Some ants had made the cache a home also. (Photo included)

Two caches found what a great way to start the day. Well done on the clever hide. Thanks
A nice quick find. Thanks for placing your cache.
I'm in Auckland and I am exploring the region while I am based here. Today was a dry day, I borrowed by bro's bike and cruised around the place. I had a great time.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Another nice hide along this walkway which I am only walking due to the caches. Hadn't seen too many people using it as well as yet this morning but a number of bikes starting to come past me now. Thanks for another smile on my caching map geocoinsnz!
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit … we are now parked in Auckland for the next few days … decided to go for a walk this morning to check out some caches … this one was an easy find, completed the log & replaced it … pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally … TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #2,803 for us.
Over this way today to grab a couple of caches along this trail with the bike to speed things up and as I was solo, and not able to have a car at both ends.... Had dropped the teenager at college and parked nearby this cache to start the trail....have been coming here for many years to visit with the kids these little trains, so was happy to see caches added to the area and the cycle way to the airport....

Nice easy find here, however the fence is damaged here and this little bison may get compromised if left in its hiding spot, we have moved north by 2m.

We were fast running out of time before requiring to head home so decided a quick jog along the walkway was in order to get a few quick finds in succession.
No offence taken, just a cache spotted despite its great camo, and signed and returned, nice one thank you.

There is now a spider in the pram somewhere. Jumped out of cache. Great hide,
Today was a day for grabbing numbers as we approach a milestone number so we headed here to walk the cycle trail. Here today with Liverkiwi, Lordcacher08, Purply and Darthcacher1. We were a bit narrow in our initial search, but once we widened our search area slightly the cache was soon in hand.
Out today with HeMaLuDy to walk along George Bolt Memorial Drive and collect some of the caches that can be found along here. It was a stunning sunny spring day which meant that it was cold, but as long as you stayed in the sun you stayed warm enough to make it bearable.
This one eluded us for quite a while. We were looking high and low, near and far. It was only after some meticulous searching that the something was spotted that was totally plausible but yet slightly out of place. When this was discovered, a quick tactile exploration revealed it to be the cache.

This biking track had been a plan of attach for Team SEAC for a while now however the originally planned day had to be cancelled due to bad weather.
A couple of days ago the weather was checked and found to be good so the cal went out. Unfortunately due to the late notice there were only 4 that could attend.
We threw our bikes into the back of our cars and headed to the Countdown carpark at the airport and headed to the bike trail to do these caches.
Quickly found after dismounting our bikes.

Had planned this bike ride for a few weeks ago but the weather got in the way. Mrs NZT messaged yesterday to see if anyone was keen to attempt again today and yes we were!
Spotted the blended camo cache as we rode up - log in hand shortly thereafter.
Thanks for the cache. Found with NZTravellers, Hello Birdie 1 and laval.

Late afternoon walk after dropping back the campervan and flying back to Dunedin tomorrow. This run of caches near the motel was a great chance to up the numbers for the week.
A more thorough search on the way back to the car revealed this cache's 'thing'. All good and replaced as found
A whistle-stop visit North to Auckland had me arriving on Weds arvo, picking up mrs capperz on Thursday morning and leaving just after lunch on Friday. We were up in the area to do a recce on our rented accommodation which changed addresses as the proposed one had a water leak. The alternative wasn't too flash either but we'll work it out somehow. Will be living up here within the next fortnight and as one Marlburian cacher likes to say "It's a target rich environment", but then everywhere is until you make a start on finding the available options. I've been lucky enough to have visited a few times over the last few years so have a few hundred Auckland caches 'under my belt', but plenty more to come I hope.
After arriving I grabbed the hire car and headed a short distance away to grab some of the highly rated series on the walkway out of the airport.

Greetings from Scotland. Thanks to the Covid 19 lockdown, we are patiently(!) waiting in our hotel for our flight home. We go out for our daily walk, hail, rain or shine (23 hours a day is long enough in a hotel room). We are caching in a very safe way. If we are passing any caches on our daily walks, we look with our eyes. If we see it and can reach it to get the log under normal circumstances, we photograph the cache having touched nothing, and submit the picture to the CO advising we will delete our log if they did not agree. As we approached this one MrsF spotted something slighly out of place. As we were taking the photo we got the fright of our lives - suddenly three motorbikes came careering along the path. Surely that's not allowed?
Photo log has been sent off to the CO so as not to give any spoilers on the page.
*This is our 10624th logged find. Found at 15:11 hrs.* TFTC

Another nice cache visited with woolwood9 today.
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!
*Pretty quick find on a busy day hunting caches in the area, we really enjoyed the drive / walk around.*
TFTC - good bold hide, works well.

I sussed out another Air New Zealand Grab-a-seat from Palmy to Auckland and return $19.00 each way. Had time to walk along this lovely pathway to Mangere Centre Park to find 20 caches Thanks geocoinsnz for the cache.
Good camo on this one. Really enjoying these caches as I fill in time between flights. TFTC # 15,209
Headed to the Airport today with the bikes on board, to start on this trail. We got a few done, but the sun was too hot to continue to the end. Will come back another day and complete the rest. Enjoyed the ride nonetheless. Replaced a couple of logs that were full as well. Clever cache here, took a while to spot it. SL. TFTC.
