Its good to see that there isnt much rubbish on the side of the roads. Well there is if you look hard enough. There are grubs everywhere. Some of the rubbish you might find blows my mind. Im OK if someone throws an apple core out their window but dumping a tyre or a bong is going too far. The price of a hose these days means that making a bong is equivalent to a small mortgage. tftc
On down the road. Wandered back to find the cache. Soon in hand. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks youngoldfella. All good with this cache.
I am heading north to Biggenden one last time.As always, I allow some time to find a few geocaches along the way. After heading down Black Snake road for a few km's to find a few caches I turned around and headed north again. Now to find the remaining caches along this road that I have not found on previous visits. I found this cache after a short search. All is well. Thanks for the cache.
Awesome hide, this was a bit tricky for us but still loved it none the less.
Out on the caching trail today. Beautiful winters day. Finally time to do this series in a loop from Goomeri, Kilkevin Tansy. All caches found in good condition unless otherwise stated.TFTC
After a long day, I decided to make a quick detour on my way home to find this drive-by cache. It was a smooth and easy find, just as described in the cache listing. The coordinates were spot on, and the cache container was in excellent condition. I signed the logbook and left a small trinket behind. It's always a pleasure to discover these hidden treasures along the way. Thanks to the cache owner for placing this one. It added a bit of adventure to my commute home!
Second cache today whilst passing through Kilkevan. All is good with this cache.TFTC
After spending the night in town and dining out at the local pub it was time to get out and do colorectal the local area. I am working on a local challenge at home that requires cache numbers in Local government areas and so I need another 80 or so in the Gympie area. This area is rich with caches so off I go. Arriving at ground zero I found a safe place to park the geowagon and off I go. I quickly found ground zero and located the cache. After extracting the log and making my mark I quickly returned to the geo wagon in search of my next adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.Cheers
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location. (HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do. [:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort. Devilish Brilliant and Clever I like it Another one off the list TTBLNSL TFTC/TFTH/TFBUH - Young Old Fella [^]
Our third find for today all close by which was great. Left some stickers for other finders. There were a couple of other items in there too which we left. Tftc
Left the pen in the car so couldn’t sign the log. A few trackables but didn’t have anything to swap.
10:11:00 AM. Caching is so much easier without the caravan in tow, Log signed. Thanks for the cache youngoldfella
On holidays at Hervey Bay and arranged to meet YOF down this way to tackle a few. TFTC
Out doing a circuit ride from Kilkivan to Ipswich and then back to home over a couple of days.
This was the second cache for the afternoon on today's part of the journey to Goomeri. The local council says the trail is closed, we however found no difficulty riding a maintained and mowed track all the way with only one single creek near Goomeri washed out to the extent it could not be ridden.

Another day in Kilkivan. We were going to have an easier day but as usual, it didn't work out that way. We changed plans along the way which was a bonus and headed towards Tansey. Then we decided to drive a loop and headed off to Goomeri. Having no lunch with us we stopped in Goomeri to see what we could find. A lovely older small town with some amazing old buildings and a fantastic bakery. Great coffee, but the pies are up there with Mataranka pies. Excellent. We then headed out to Kinbombi Creek Gorge and Falls another unexpected find. We only headed out because there were caches there, but what a bonus. Well worth the diversion.
We then returned to camp a Kilkivan.
Lots of really good sized caches in good condition.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache youngoldfella.

Last day for two TASSIES in and around Kilkivan. So we thought we would come into town to log caches for the last two days and have another little sortie not too far out.
Did a few on the trails set up for a previous event, but in the end looked for quieter roads. Had this one in hand and signed in good time. TFTC yof.

Going through my geocaching papers and saw I hadn’t logged some caches we found when in the area. Sorry for the late log. Found this one and signed the log before replacing as found.
Youngoldfella - thanks for all your caches that are entertaining us and others.
Cheers and happy caching!

Hi there youngoldfella.
We found your cache **"Rail Trail close by"** today. (This makes our find count 25516).
Today we decided to do a round trip Goomeri - Kilkivan - Tansy - Goomeri. We got almost all the way around before the heat and long grass sapped our energy. (It looks like we will have to return tomorrow to fully complete the circuit).
We thoroughly enjoyed today's cache finds, and our tally today was 32 caches & 0 DNF's.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge
Thank you for adding to our adventure.
Regards
Ian & Penny

We were spending time at the nearby Kilkivan event, which meant catching up with friends, and finding a lot of recently, and not so recently placed geocaches. We notice a group of cyclists so knew we had to be close. Found the cache quickly and then ran back to the geocachemobile between the raindrops
Now that was fun
Thanks YOF for your efforts

After an early morning sunrise event it was a drive up to Kilkivan for a weekend event. This is my first event of this type so I am not sure what to expect but I’ve been told they are fun and educational, ok. Today’s kick off was 10am so this gave me a few hours to drive up and get a little caching in before the event started for me.
At the event I teamed up with Willis007 and Ms maddy (who drove) to spend the afternoon collecting a few caches and a few first to finds. Armed with a list and some new coordinates we set off for the afternoon of caching. We had a plan of attack in mind and it turned out to be a good afternoon of caching with a variety of cache sizes, hides and ratings; thank you to the CO’s for the placements of these. Sorry for the generic post for this lot but we did approximately 90 caches around the area.
There were no DNF’s and all caches were found in good order and in close proximity to the given coordinates and or hints. I enjoyed today's caching, thank you.

In Kilkivan for the New Year event, a great opportunity to catch up with caching buddies and meet some new faces.
After setting up at the showgrounds and enjoying a morning full of caching, after a quick lunch break, we headed out again to keep finding newly published caches along with some tried and true oldies.
A great day spent out and about, enjoying the beautiful country side.
The cache was quickly spotted, log signed and all replaced as found.
Thanks youngoldfella for the cache.

I was headed toward the coast today,
and ended up on this back road
So why is this narrow back road so full of traffic !! [:o]
There's so much traffic that I've missed stopping for the last three caches [:o]
Here I finally found an escape route from the 'highway',
and enjoyed some strolling by the rail trail
No two wheeled traffic today,
so the cache was an easy find nearby [^]

with Youngoldfella, Roddyc and Doscrapbooking. Great weekend. Good to catch up with everyone. Tftc
Nomads hunkering in their caravan near Murgon . We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Now we have to cope with Corona Virus ..... and social distancing. We are currently hunkered with our caravan on a farm at Manyung near Murgon.
Caching keeps us sane in a time of social distancing - when it is suitable. And now we have had some restrictions lifted, we have started caching again.
Today, is Mr D's big 70th birthday, so to celebrate (cos there is not much else you can do around here) we decided to go caching - and add a couple to the RTX series.
Quick find in obvious spot. And I got to find another spot to do the RTZ series. Thanks for today's fun YOF. Fave point for the day.

Logging old caches originally found with alphag_25. Now have my own account and logging them separately so that I can claim the finds.
I found your cache with my Dad, Oddiewan and most of the time, Semik. I am way behind on logging so learned how to use templates so I can catch up. Sorry this is not a detailed log, but I will do better with my logging now that I have the ability to log caches on a mobile phone. Thanks for the cache youngoldfella
I found this cache on my Xmas 2019 trip to Queensland however it didn't log automatically from my GPS when I synced it so I am logging it this way.
Thanks for a great caching experiance.
Logged as "Moneydork" before I changed to my new geocaching name "Triggerfish".

For the end of the year, a plan was set afoot to go camping for a night in Auburn River National Park. We've done just that and today I'm rolling back home to Brisbane with Fangsoki and 1MinnieMoo. I was a happy camper, having found the two target geocaches for the trip, but alas, there are plenty of geocaches along the way that make happy for statistics and challenge qualification all around, so a few stops were had - sounds good to me!
Quite nicely, I got to sit in the back, indifferent to where we stopped and MinnieMoo had planned ahead and run the pocket queries. This was our sixth find for the day, and I wasn't all that aware of the rail trail up this way. But there's a geocache too, I hear.
As we approached there was much commotion as I made everyone note the name of the nearby street. According to another friend of mine, it's unremarkable as 'every other street is named that'. I still enjoy it, so a selfie happened.
By the time I was done, I dashed across the rail trail, past the water tank modern art and joined Minnie signing the logbook at 11:41. This was a little bit of fun and a quick smiley. Thanks for this geocache, youngoldfella

After lunch, RoddyC, Hatzofff, NightParrots and I headed off along the Tansey Road to find a few more caches. This was the first cache of the afternoon, It was quickly found and our names added to the log. TFTC
Geocaching with my main squeeze, Oddiewan, my best friend, Moneydork and Oddiewan's sons BitternA4 and occassionally Flash_Cat (he bowed out about halfway, but I didn't mark where we took him back to camp) Oddiewan was on a mission and achieved his 400th and 500th finds on this caching trip. I was happy just to see his excitement of reaching his next milestone.

Captain Terror, 1MinnieMoo and I were heading back east from Auburn and its "environs". We deemed it would be plain rude not to grab a few caches as we headed home.
I pulled up a bit too soon for this one. But not too soon for Captain Terror to take great glee in the street name nearby. I motored up toward the find and we found the cache safe and sound. TFTC youngoldfella

A big day out around the Kilkovan area has been on the cards for a while to tidy up many of the smilies left behind after the last catch-up.
Co-ords were excellent and containers generally in great shape, making for a good day of searching. Just needed to look out for the occasional stubborn bovine . Looking forward to the next catch-up event.

Log signed at 08:55 and cache returned as found. Thanks for the smilie and bringing us here **youngoldfella**. This log is trackable, mention where you saw it.

TFTC. Day 2 of our trip away from the House sit at Bundaberg, exploring the Goomeri/Kilkivan area. The plan today Wes to do a loop through Tansey to Kilkivan and then return via the Wide Bay Highway, a triangle shape. A great day 44 attempted and only 1 dnf. I suspect that we were getting tired and there were muggles camped close by. That’s our excuse. All caches were relatively straightforward finds and unless noted all in good order. Thanks to the COs for adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Found while staying in the kilkivan area for about a week before heading for the big smoke down south. Having noticed that there was a lot of new caches placed in the area I set about converting some of them to smileys. This is of of the many I have found so far. All were easy find with no maintenance issues. TFTC
This was the third day of our caching trip. Another great country drive. All the caches we found were in good condition and mostly easy finds.
Due to a phone fail we lost the saved/draft log when we did this cache yesterday. So we're just posting again. Sorry for the boring log but we can't remember everything we originally wrote. TFTC.

Last cache before pulling up for some respite in the kilkivan park down the road. Thanks for hiding caches to break up the journey.
We have travelled this highway before, so today we are just picking some caches that are a little bit off the main road, or ones that we had bypassed before. Each was found, (no DNF logs needed today), all logs were noted with two more names as we travel along with ilook4geo. The biggest problem we had, was that with so many of the caches we were not able to find a safe place to park. Roadside growth is quite long and the gravel parts were very narrow.
Thankfully no accidents happened. Thanks go to youngoldfella for these caches and some more smiley faces on our map for today.
