Quick find here. Just the way we like it. Love your work.Cleaning up Victoria with gridge98. We are on a mission this week. Completing twenty finds in Mexican local government areas is the challenge. Another find with the correct criteria. It is in Victoria and we have not accumalated twenty finds in this local government area.Today was the day to find this cache. Today is Tew's day the fifteenth day of the octavus month of the Roman calendar in the wonderful year of twenty twenty four. We found your cache container and added some inky stuff to the paper sheet or note pad you have supplied for a log book or scroll. The cache container and log book or scroll were in good condition. It was a bit windy today. It was so windy today. With the log signed and the cache replaced it was time to leave. Onwards to the next cache. Woot, that is not to far.I would like to show my respect and acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the Land, and their continuing connection to it. I wish to pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past, present and emerging.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. Took a bit to solve this one but after some research the puzzle was solved, the cache was easily found today once at GZTravelling around Victoria with Freddo for a week finding caches as we go. With two challenges on our radar we were in full force. All logs signed with our names or F+g98 for the smaller caches. Thanks for the cache
A good puzzle. Had this solved a while ago and was happy to be passing through and able to grab it TFTC
Worked this one out quite a while ago. Called in to get this one on another occasion but had no luck. Called in again today on the way home from a week of holidaying in Port Macquarie and found it straight away. It had me scratching my head wondering how I missed it last time but there you go. TFTC
Thank you for the enjoyable and informative puzzle and satisfying find at gz. Great day out
Thanks for my first Mystery Cache! Found this on a trip yesterday, stopped by Winchelsea to have lunch and get out of the car for a bit, solved whilst enjoying the hundreds of cockatoos and detoured to the location, somehow when the journey started there were beautiful skies but during the less than 10min drive it started bucketing. Found the interesting container and signed under shelter. Thank you!
Really enjoyed this geocache and learning more about the history of the local area.Soon had final in hand and name added to log.TFTC
Really enjoyed researching for this cache and the clever hide made it a favourite. Tftc.
Mrs Riddells crashed through the puzzle in record time and got the ok from the checker, and with a road trip into the area, this was one of our targets. A nice quick and easy drive by on a pleasant afternoon drive around the area. Thanks for the cache
Sorted the numbers for the final..an easy find as have seen this type of cache before tftc
Day 5 of our holiday from Brisbane travelling the Great Ocean Road. I decided to head inland for the last leg so that I could get the caches here.
bunadoorian had solved this puzzle this morning before we left home. We were in the area for a family catch up lunch. I found the cache in good condition. TFTC and the puzzle H_3.
3 September 2023 9:52 am Sunday bunadoorian. Grub62 and I were distracted by the big tree nearby but quickly realised our mistake and found the cache. I enjoyed the puzzle as well as I managed to complete it myself. TFTC.
A days caching towards the Otways. Sunnyfields of canola boost the wintry mood.

Found on 27 May 2023 at 7:44:19 am. Decided to do a little roadtrip to try finish my LGA challenge and so today was the day. Up bright and early load car and away we went. Mutley in back seat and Joolz in front seat.
First cache on our little roadtrip . Nice stop for the mutley and stretch the legs. Easy find but puzzle tricked me a few times.
Thanks for the adventure H_3!

With a bit of time to spare before meeting the boys for today's ride , I thought I'd grab a few Winch caches if I could. This was the first of three and was a nice quick find at 08:15.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occcasion. Thanks H_3.

For anyone making Geo plans, do yourself a favour and visit Australia’s only current Geotour at Ballarat while it lasts: https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/ballarat-victoria
And for anyone that can travel to Longreach, Queensland, late September 2023, Google “QOGM” which is the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster. You’ll have at least 8 or 9 days of pure geocaching fun with around 200 like minded people attending a mix of events and access to over 200 geocaches placed by the QOGM team. It’s not a Mega, it’s better.

With a break in the terrible weather we have been having it was time for a day out to collect some smileys, nice quick find and sassieold55 did the signing duties TFTC H_3
Wanted a nice cache for on the way home from Warrnambool. Solved this one driving there. Cache was in the first place I looked as the coords were spot on today. Thanks for the history and old historic buildings in Winchelsea, which we played eye spy as we drove past them on the way to the cache. Thanks for this one here today.
Found by Mary and David at at 15:20. We were in town to do the Ad Labs and many places were familiar. Sat in the car and consulted Google, and solved all the numbers except 1, which we were able to solve by visiting the location. At the final, happily, our indicated GZ wasn't at "the obvious spot" referred to in an earlier log, but at another very likely spot. Cache located there in the first place we looked. Definitely another FP. Our thanks to H_3.
Out and about on a chilly Saturday night chasing a few smiley faces with AusFox. I hadn't completed this one yet so AusFox was happy for me to look for it. Got all the information needed to move onto GZ.
I searched in the wrong spot for a while until it was decided to check out another place it would be. Boom!! Cache in hand . Thanks for the hide!!

This was a great family team effort. A few of us solved it and the kids found it. TFTC and the lessons
Find was so much quicker than solving, but interesting gathering all we needed. Thanks, we enjoyed this one.
After a late afternoon spent chasing waterfalls in the Otways (into the night) we needed a break during the drive back home. A stop in Winchelsea to look for Aboriginal scar and ring trees was a good opportunity to investigate this mystery.
Now there was a bit of work to do beforehand, but with many hands (and many devices) making light work, we were soon at GZ finding the cache in the second spot we looked at.
Thanks, H_3.

Worked out the coordinates for this a long while ago, and happened to be driving past on our way home from a long winter weekend in Peterborough. Like another post, we too made a bee-line for the obvious hiding spot but came up empty handed. Switched over to the GPS and found what we were looking for.

On our way home from a mini getaway, I quickly solved this puzzle in the car in preparation of a pitstop. Google was indeed my friend, and I enjoyed learning a little history of Winchelsea.
As others before us, we too headed straight to what we presumed was GZ, then coming up empty handed, checked our GPS. Oh! Found it.
Thank you H_3. Lovely town.

After spending a pleasant evening in Geelong we continued on our way to Portland for our annual family xmas and still had time to grab a few caches along the way.
Sitting at the motel room last night working pout caches that we could possibly stop at we spotted this mystery. Happily Dr Google was very cooperative with most answers and we had a set of co-ords that we ran through the checker and we were very happy when we got the green light so this one was on today's list.
Once at gz we got over confident and went by instinct not the GPSr and after searching for a little while in the wrong location Diane noticed where the needle was pointing so we headed off there for a nice quick find. Unfortunately the log book is very full and being in the work vehicle we didn't have a spare with us.
Thanks H_3 for the cache.

Chook was passing through Winchelsea on the way to Colac after a couple of morning events in Geelong, and had this puzzle in the solved pile, so it was a great opportunity to complete it by making the find. No trouble here either, as the cache was quickly located, log signed and all replaced as it was. TFTC and puzzle H_3
A long awaited road trip, originally planned for the Millicent Mega weekend. However due to possible SA border issues, we’re only doing the Vic sections. Joined by Papi4506 & Geoturtle37, RoamingHowie and I are finally on the road to adventure!
DAY 1: Melbourne to Panmure.
Next was this solved puzzle. An interesting research session a few weeks ago brought us the solved coords. A quick png here.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, H_3

Day #1 of a new adventure in Western Victoria. I think we are up to the 8th iteration of this trip. Initially planned as our Millicent road trip, it changed to a delayed VIC only trip, back to an SA trip with border announcements, then back to a VIC only trip when the finer details were revealed. Nonetheless we are out exploring again with today is focused on the journey from Melbourne to Panmure.
With the research completed during lockdown, this was a quick find post bakery stop.
Thanks H_3 for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

My only find for the day with only 2 caches attempted and the other was more a did not finish than a did not find.
Solved this one in the beginning of 2019 and took the opportunity to sign the log on the way past.
Cache in good shape.
Thanks H_3

Solved this puzzle a couple of weeks ago and today in the area was able to make for the quick pick up! Thanks for another smiley off the map
A cold Sunday afternoon and not a great deal to do, so we jumped in the Geomobile with the Geodogs and headed out to a neck of the woods we haven't done much Geocaching in but have often visited. The GPS bounced around a little while we were looking for this cache. We found the cache after several minutes of looking. The cache is in good condition. Thank you for this cache H_3.
Winchelsea is a lovely little town, I’ve spent a bit of time here. My ancestors used to be the publicans of The Barwon Hotel. Thanks for the further knowledge about Winch. Be careful of the snail cache guardian…it reminds me of The Racing Snail from The Neverending Story. TFTC
Having solved this one a while ago it was finally time to collect. Thank you for the history and the walk!
Finishing our holiday, we had planned a stop in Winchelsea for lunch. Glad we did as we all enjoyed Kenty's Bakery. After getting food we ate it down by the river looking at the old Bluestone bridge.
Knowing this, I worked on the history of Winchelsea and was then able to solve this puzzle.
After lunch we swung past this gz to collect the geocache. It wasn't where I expected it which was an interesting item, but following the GPS, we were soon signing the log

Worked out and found with tassie expat while exploring this great area. Thanks for placing it. We also saw the amazing letterbox just up the road.
A quick solve last night. Great spot and the info board helped. As others before have stated, loved the letterbox nearby. Enjoyed seeing the places mentioned in questions on way through town. TFTC
On my way to Portland to see the new Morris residence, and I left a bit early to collect a few caches along the way.
A bit cooler down this way today, but lovely weather for caching.
I think I know more about Winchelsea than I really need to now!
Intersting information about the buildings though.
Thanks, Robmc.

A trip to the country and a few caches along the way to break the journey.

Out today with sorceysal to clean up some caches in the area. Managed to do as much as I could in preparation for this one. The GPS had me looking further away after I had dismissed the obvious.
Later I heard that familiar call and sorceysal had it in her hand.

A little bit a research before a drive along the Princes to get to this cache. GZ was near a spot we had driven past many a time but had not checked out before. Recently mown grass made access to the cache easy. TFTC.
#3921 Mr BGF had done all the hard work researching the answers for this cache over breakfast. He probably now knows more about the history of Winchelsea than most of the residents of the town . The cache was found quickly found on arrival to gz as a quick P&G. TFTC and history lesson H_3.

Solved this one on my lunch break in the area working today and made the quick grab. Plus the find one of the pieces of info but cache logic prevailed. Tftc
We spent the weekend at a friends place near Winchelsea and snuck out to find a few of the local caches. We have been here many times but there was a few new ones for us.
Solve in readiness for the weekend although we visited many of the spots this morning.

We enjoyed the research for this puzzle and it wasn't long before we had a set f coordinates which pleased the coordinate checker. Today we went to look for the cache. Accurate coordinates and a familiar object led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks H_3 for the puzzle which enabled us to learn more about the Winchelsea area and thanks for the cache.
I was in the area to do some of the Bambra series of caches. I also went through Winchelsea so I made an effort to solve all the puzzles in the area.
Mice bit of history here and an easy solve.
First cache of the day and a few veges bought for good measure
Cheers

I learned a lot about Winchelsea while gathering the coordinates information. A well constructed set of questions and a wonderful place for the final TFTC H-3
Worked out the interesting facts about Winchelsea a couple of weeks ago. Washboard and I made a quick find on our return to Colac after a busy morning completing the Puzzle Time series near Lara.
A quick check of the notes revealed that this cache needed a bit of research.
I couldn't be bothered breaking out the computer ,
and Winchelsea is a tiny towne,
so how hard could it be to find the answers by wandering around ??
Not that hard at all,
and soon, I had visited all the locations in person
That's a much more fun way of finding the answers
Only problem was that a couple of the locations don't give up their answer.
Not really a problem,
as I could now narrow GZ down to an area of about 600 metres X 160 metres
As most of the area was on private property I concentrated on the 100 metres of road that fell into the rectangle ... voila !!
A cache.

Suscoe was heading back to Geelong early this afternoon after a morning of caching out in the nearby western district.
We had sorted the puzzle a week or two or three ago.
A very interesting glimpse into the history of "Winch."
Thanks to H_3 for this puzzle, nice to learn about places that we know and travel though fairly often.
A favourite for the history of this town.

Amidst the myriad of summer sporting scores, relating to games, sets, innings, wickets, runs etc etc, it was interesting to post a 19/1/19 for the caches we visited in the very good company of Alansee, au.fait and Muzza today - a great team!
We love these mystery tours - "Austins Ford" Indeed!

The beginning of a huge day with leafotwind.
CITO, Event, trads, multis and solved puzzles.
Many regular caches and even a large. Really old hides and a milestone. [^]
Lots of steps walked, up and down tracks, back roads, visiting a waterfall and a few fern glades.
Lots of wildlife, corellas galore, a tiger snake was spotted as it took off upon our approach and even a dead koala on the road.
When our young bloke was a little nipper, Zucchini was his favourite food. He would help tend the plants and never failed to eat it all.
Thanks for the cache H_3.

The beginning of a busy day with n0w0rries which included a CITO, an event and an old, old T4 that we were on the verge of DNFing. However, back to the cache at hand I love these sorts of puzzles. An enjoyable 10-15 minutes of research saw me formulate a set of coords that the checker confirmed.
After forwarding them to n0w0rries earlier in the week this was our first stop for the day. Unbenknownst to me I was to briefly see the CO twice today but unfortunately never met properly. I'll be down in Colac again no doubt and will hopefully meet him at an event or CITO at that stage.

Managed to sort this one from home. An easy find at GZ, which was in an interesting spot.
Today we found Winchelsea on our travels around the Colac area. This was a puzzle the Chief had sorted out a while back but hadn’t picked up the final. We corrected that today.
Thanks H_3 for being part of our geocaching fun.

Having spent some time solving this puzzle prior to my day of caching in the area, I decided that I had to make it the first cache of the day for me. I soon found GZ for this one. Thanks so much for placing this cache, and for the puzzle H_3
I was down the coast when this came up online.
New years day and I really was not bothered to trek back at this stage.
Over a few days I gathered some likely co-ord's.
A quick message with the CO confirmed some areas I felt a little confused on.
Well today I was heading back down the coast.
I pulled up at GZ and bingo my calcs were all good.

With all the googling done a set of coordinates made we were able to pick this Mystery Tour up on our way to Bambra today. Close to GZ we found a very interesting plaque that obviously went unnoticed by the FTF hounds as they would have approached in the dark. The concept of this puzzle is great but I think this plaque deserves a trad of its own so it gets recognised better.
Cheers H_3 for the tour of Winch.

With the hours counting down to 2019 this cache was published, with an informative search of Google about the historic Winchelsea the required information was gathered and a green tick given.
A plan was made with Simsfamily, BFMC and Neville Devil to meet up at GZ with fingers crossed at Midnight. With distant fireworks popping the cache was discovered and opened to a blank log for a Joint [FTF] to start New Years Day and 2019.
Log signed and replaced as found.

Ninja’s come in the night, 4 of them. They swoop on the town and take the New Year {*FTF*} as a joint trophy.
When this was published I was happily sitting in bed reading a book with the cricket on in the background and sipping a Furphy. Having spent 10 hours in the car today with 2 small children I wasnt overly keen on doing anything else. Then the phone dings. Of course there's new caches! First one: Melbourne. Cross that off. Second was this one. Pretty quickly I realise that in a few hours it's a new month, which means a new FTF is needed. So I throw out a message to the usual suspects to see if anyone is keen for a 12:01 FTF. Sure enough, there's interest. Time to sit back and see if it lasts, but I suspect it will. Eventually got around to starting to solve it only to find out Sims_family had done the work already. A rendezvous time was agreed upon and shortly before half eleven I set off. At GZ, Sims_family, Neville_devil, ausfox; and I did things in the reverse order to most on site catch ups, we shot the breeze for 10-15 minutes first, then found the cache once the radio had confirmed we had ticked over midnight and January 2019 was upon us. Log signed and returned, this completes BFMC's first year of our FTF streak, here's hoping it continues for a while longer! TFTC.

TFTC.
Thanks for the cache H_3

Joint [FTF] with Ausfox; Neville_devil & BFMC
I had been watching a few caches get published during the evening in the Melbourne area and dismissed them straight away being New Years Eve I wasn't keen on heading that way to play with the sillies partying the night away. But when this little guy was published it grabbed my attention and hoped that it would hold out till midnight before anyone made the find.
After doing the required Googling I had some numbers and the checker was happy too, That is always a good sign.
After a few messages back and forth we arranged to meet Ausfox; Neville_devil and BFMC at for a midnight raid and an impromptu NYE party at GZ. No party really just a gathering for a happy first to find for the year. This also brings my monthly FTF streak to 36 months or 3 year .
Thank you H_3 for the mystery, smiley and FTF
