We went on tour with Pitsch Patsch. We chose the Rookwood Cemetery. There is a lot to discover here and it was interesting to explore the different areas. This cache was found after a little searching and our names were signed. Many thanks and greetings from the Moorhelmi
Stinking hot day today. Gardeners at work, wind taking a break, lunchtime on the horizon. At least this cache was a quick find. There would be many spots in this cemetery people would miss, and that's their loss! TFTC
Well this cache was an unexpected extra for me today..... ??????At the last minute, I had managed to secure leave from my job in NZ, to attend the GCLogan events in Brisbane starting this week, but the last minute direct flight fares were prohibitive. However, by transiting through Sydney with a 7 hour stopover, I managed to halve the cost. Hmmm........, what could I possibly achieve in four hours away from the airport.....??? ???? Aussies oldest Multi, that's what.... ??With that important task completed, there was just enough time to collect a few trads and maybe the Ad Labs here in the Rookwood cemetery. Thx to Skyebo for picking me up and driving me around this morning. The cemetery is huge. This one took a minute or two, before interpreting the hint correctly, meant I managed to locate it. TFTC
Was easy to find when looking in the right spot, mausoleum was under restoration when we arrived, were offered to look inside
When we got here, we came across some muggles inside the mausoleum, but we managed to locate the distinctively coloured cache before attracting too much suspicion. Prior to opening up the container however, we were spotted by the muggles and received a free history lesson on the mausoleum and the extensive restoration process which was now complete. Happy to report that we managed to get a rare look inside the mausoleum and at the sarcophagi (it's usually kept locked up). TFTC!
Wow. Try not to be muggled while theres a whole film crew around the area. I deserve a medal for that one! lol. TFTC!
We were in this part of Sydney picking up an online purchase so I couldn't resist heading here to find [Isaac's Rest](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9F2_7-isaacs-rest) since it's such an old multi. Once that was done, however, we decided to find few more of the geocaches in this amazing cemetery. This mausoleum was just incredible. We thought it was another chapel at first as we approached and we were gob-smacked to realise it was just for one family. Thanks for find #6206TNLN
I was nervous this one had dissapeared with all the tree work nearby but it was there in good shape. Thanks.
Great little hide. Thanks. No workers about at my time of visit so I was able to take my time and locate this cache Tftc
Spent such a long time looking for this one - dont know I didnt check that spot earlier. TFTC
Found but took longer than it should have. Removed the mushy logs and resealed current log in the bag. Should lastlonger. Will have to return when renos done as it looks impressive.TFTC
Todays objective was to come and find an old multi cache in the Rockwood cemetery. I had to pass a few tradional caches before I achieved my objective. This was one of the caches. Soon found after a short search. I am surprised the reviewers allow caches in cemeteries in Australia. In the Uk this is not permitted. TFTC
Came to this great mega cemetery for a tour. Naturally I arrived too early so I can do some geocaching first. One restorerasked me so I simply said people hide good caches all over the place. Good to see that the restoration is progressing. One of several finds with TBs Canadian Flag, Swiss Duck, Pittiplatsch and Corona Express Cruise Ship in tow.
Tradies were around today, but it did not deter us to have a look. It took a little while: considered the hint, looked at some previous comments and bingo: there it was!TFTC: had a great time at a fantastic location.(Will be easier when the restoration is completed.)
I approached at dusk so no sight of any workers. Glad to find the cache still there, and a TB too
Was concerned I may not get this one as there was some scaffolding- but did get it! Trackable still in there as I’m quite a new cacher and don’t quite know what to do with it
TFTC. Left a trackable here, anyone who wants to help get it to Plymouth welcome to pick it up
Tradies were here covering the structure with scaffolding, so no chance to have a decent look. This was the only cache I didn’t find in the cemetery today.
Another quick find on our way out. A big day of caching. Thanks again Aussiebrian for our great day
Found it nice one hint for those who are struggling as my GPS was off look at the entrance.
OCW some church friends today and this was their first find! Took a bit of searching and realising exactly what the hint meant
Found and replaced as usual; TFTC!

walked the circle of fencing and looked around outside... not sure what the reference to 'opening' means.
Solo caching day today as Sandyofthesea is a bit off colour. Aiming for old caches and a few new LGA’s.
Added a new waterproof log. Should be good for a while now.
What a year Sandyofthesea and I have had. We kitted out the Prado and took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April 2022 to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. We started with the Nullabour, Eyre and York Peninsulas, the Riverlands, visited family in Victoria and then back in SA it got cold. Flinders and the Oodnadatta Track was amazing and we finally warmed up in Dalhousie Springs. The Alice beckoned and then a change of plan and we ended up tackling the Tanami Track to the Kimberley and Bungles Bungles. Territory Day in Darwin was unhinged - please try and do it! The Gulf, the coast and the car breaker ‘Old Tele Track’ to the top of Cape York. This is a must but it’s not easy! Eventually made it to Brisbane to get some fixes to the car….. let’s see where we end up.
Aussiebrian, I found Frazer Mausoleum today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Found With shano58, we came down by train from Newcastle, wanting to do all the caches in Rookwood, so had a very limited window to do this in to get back in a reasonable time,

My Mum and Dad buried 100 odd metres from here , have often wondered about this place as I drove past . Now I know , interesting. Found quick enough as the hint suggested no need to open , easily retrieved from outside through the opening. TFTC Aussiebrian
Found myself wandering the cemetry today, particularly to get the oldie. But who doent love some distractions on the way. A great cache in what was today a lonely part of the cemetry. All good here. TFTC.
Found on a quick walk from home. Log book paper pretty soggy and disintegrated. Otherwise good find!
Nice quick find today. I put a new log in and dried the inside hopefully it will stay dry for a while. TFTC
After dropping my two daughters and one of their friends at DFO I headed to this remarkable cemetery. Almost 4 hours and almost 10ks later, I had completed two Ad Lab Cache Series and 11 other caches. Nice hide TFTC
Have looked at this before and didn't think to check for a cache here, thank goodness I checked the app today and made a quick find.
