This one has taken awhile to get through. A bit of a longer detour but made it. Had thought it was a pole cache for some reason but spotted it and did the climb and sign. TFTC

Like many others, it was the second word that I found quite challenging but eventually I had a set of words that worked. Today we headed out and enjoyed some lunch at the facilities nearby before returning to find the cache. As we jumped out of the car and made our way over, Mr DisSister spotted the cache. He nipped over and made the grab ready for signing. Thanks WallabyWanderers

Down in SEQ for a few days to celebrate the life of a caching ambassador and a great friend Karicka. It’s more than likely he’d found this one.

Targeting 4 LGA’s and some rarer DT today. This is 1 of 5 DT combos I hope to collect on this trip to complete my 13th loop. No issues here as I spotted it from the car.

Thanks WallabyWanderers for adding to my day. Fun experience.

Hi there WallabyWanderers, we found your cache Picture This! today.

Day seven touring out from Toowoomba. Today we’re touring in town. Previous days have seen some great geocaching, and today is looking to be the same if not better.

A NO TREE CLIMBING ATTRIBUTE???

We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the countryside today, & ended up finding quite a variety of container types, sizes and ratings.

Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking.

Cache Condition: We replaced the log sheet. .

Regards
Ian & Penny
(Found and logged using Cachly).

Collecting a few caches on the north side of town today. Thanks for placing this one. It was a quick find here Smile

WallabyWanderers I found your cache Picture This! on 24/1/2023, 12:40 pm. This is my find 4663 and find # 1 today. Thanks to Davinells for their help in solving the puzzle. Arrived at GZ, no TOTT required, just a easy tree climb. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN

I remember trying to solve this puzzle, we added a lot of red crosses to certitude, but with persistence and a thesaurus, we finally got there.

At GZ we misinterpreted what we thought was the required TOTT and looked a lot higher than was needed. LDavs spotted it and used the natural tools to reach the cache. Tftc WallabyWanderers

I decided for a spontaneous day trip to the Toowoomba region.

I have solved the puzzle some time ago and it took me quite a while to locate the cache. Scribbled my name in and off to the next one

A group of us came together to reassemble the SSE, find all of Gravel's Travels and everything in between. This is a beautiful area. Some caches took my Corolla to places it shouldn't have been, especially after the rain. But we had fun, found a variety of hides and saw a variety of landscapes (and muddy roads).

A big thanks to all the CO's who gave us a reason to camp in a little town for the weekend. Those who don't make this a weekend holiday destination are missing out. Signed as team grav.

I guess I'm like most people and got stuck on the second picture for some time, I eventually used the PAF option to complete the puzzle, at GZ a quick scramble had the cache in hand, the o ring is missing and the log is damp but still OK.

Thanks for the puzzle and

OMG it took an age to get the middle word. I was about to consign it to the Too Hard Basket when a newsreader on TV said something. I thought it was worth a try and it was!
Thankfully the cache itself was way less frustrating. Thank you for the fun

I hate these puzzles as they are subjective to the CO’s intellect… I’m on another wavelength entirely and so was the champion on this one. while at the Dam & I thought while walking across the dam wall completing another cache we had a solved puzzle in the area & so picked it up on the way to the GZ of A dam multi cache thanks for the cache

Finally saw the full picture for this puzzle and picked it up this morning after driving in from Miles to spend the day around Toowoomba, quick find, only a couple of spots left on the log though. Thanks for the cache.

I had this puzzle solved for so long and I remember my geo work friend and I had so much fun trying to find the correct words. These are my favorite types of puzzles. Today I enjoyed the drive out here and at gz it was not long before we spotted this cache. Thanks for the fun puzzle and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy .

***COs- Catching up on my now famous logging backlog. It started as a series of unfortunate events and went from there... Only seem to manage sporadic bursts so it's been a long haul project for me. This tardiness in no way reflects the quality of the hide or the enjoyment of the find. Apologies to COs for the late logs.******************************************Up here with hatzofff,RoddyC, SnickersAllan and patrol14 picking up some more caches in the area and this was one of them. On a days trip up from the Gold Coast with five geo friends and this was the first cache of the day.
Great fun puzzle solved as a team last year with an easy enough tree climb and cache retrieval even though it has a no tree climbing attribute, that's what I get for having short legs I guess

Log signed with a team name of our initials, PHERGS
A favourite point from me, thanks CO.

Out caching today with hatzofff, echocage1, RoddyC, GrannySmith1947 and Snickersallan in the Toowoomba area picking up some different caches and just having a good time. Signing logs as PHERGS to save space.

This puzzle took some brain power and trial and error to get the right combination of words. Interesting puzzles and a great location. A fav point from us.

We have really enjoyed solving most of your puzzles in this”Picture “ series. There are definitely challenges and still one we are struggling with, however we’ll keep working on that!
On our drive today from Toowoomba to Brisbane, we decided to take a detour and collect another one that we have solved in this series.
This is an area we have not been to before and we really enjoyed visiting the dam nearby. There are still more puzzles in the area for us to solve, so I think we will be back.
At GZ,Mrs Domsky got a leg up from Mr Domsky and soon had the log signed.

We’ve been working on this puzzle for ‘ever’. The other day we got a hint and finally worked it out. That’s tricky!

Today we took a drive to find this cache. Mrs W spotted the wee green thing and up she went. Log signed and boy, what a satisfying feeling that was!

Thanks for the challenging puzzle and cache.

what can I say about the puzzles in this series?? Layers, upon layers, upon layers LOL. So much effort gone into creating these, it's mindblowing. Great job Tim!! I do recall more than one nudge was required to help me solve the coords, and I remember thinking "wow!" that's next level. thankfully the cache retrieval was a bit easier Smile found while staying in crows nest for a couple of nights, exploring lots of toowoomba we haven't seen before.

After Park Run events experienced a long hiatus due to the Covid-19 outbreak, Dez (JezNDez) decided that we should celebrate its recent return by attempting to complete events at locations covering all possible letters of the alphabet. Of course, in order to appease her OCD, we couldn't just do them randomly. No, they would have to be done in strict alphabetical order.

After completing runs at Ashgrove, Berrinbah and Calamvale it was now time to visit a D. With no nearby event beginning with D, we would have to drive two and a bit hours to visit Dalby, in the heat of summer, to meet the requirement.

There's nothing quite like the satisfied feeling of having done something healthy for the body after completing a Park Run. Only then to undo all of the hard work, and then some, by partaking in a hearty cooked breakfast at a nearby cafe before caching our way home back to Brisbane.

While looking last night for caches to do on the drive back home I spotted this puzzle and managed to come up with only one right answer out of the three. However I did spot enough information on the cache page to determine a good estimate of where GZ may be located. Arriving today, the lay of the land made me pretty confident of my assumption and only a few steps were required from the car to confirm my suspicions, with a cache container staring back at us. In no time at all the cache was retrieved and the logbook signed. TFTC

Out today on a mission to grab a few targeted caches while on a trip to a community event, seems not only Santa has a list, love the list. This one was on our list, it was one I had solved a few days before we headed off on this trip. I will say I did need a little push for the middle set of pics but I got it in the end.
Not sure if the attributes match the cache location, lol. It is not a tree climb but a difficult climb (as per attributes) yet I did have to climb. Doesn’t matter I found the cache and my name is now in it. Thanks for the cache placement and the continued maintenance.
It is now back to the last ones on the list before the event. Thank you.

Visiting Toowoomba and finding a few caches around the area. Was hoping to find a few more but the dam(n) gates were closed.

Happy to find this one though I was a bit perplexed with the attributes. Needed to climb the tree as it was attached so a tree fishing pole was no good. Glad to make the find.

Goombungee Day 2
Camp at the Goombungee showgrounds for a couple of days.
Todays trip was into Highfield out to Cooby Dam & return.
After 5 caches we realised we had a flat tyre so had to make a detour to have a puncture repaired.
We travelled to many new & interesting places, many dirt roads again today.
This took much longer to solve than to retrieve from its location. Glad we had a ladder with us today.
Thanks for placing this amazing series Grand_Poobah

It seemed like a long drive out to GZ from town. I’m sure when I looked at the map it was only half a fingernail and therefore should have only taken 8.5 shakes or 12 jiffies.

I know that I added almost 100 crosses to one of the checkers. I think I also used up half the internet by visiting synonym.com (there may have also been some other questionable web sites visited during that time). I hope I left enough internet for future generations of kids. I had to reach out for a hint and was told the word “obscure”. Forgetting about all that I knew, the list of words in my Word document grew to 6 pages. I hope I’m not wasting digital paper that future kids might need.

As soon as I parked the car Mrs Woodyrothwell says that she can see the cache. I couldn’t see anything. She said that it is so bright it was burning into her retinas. Thankfully I’m colour blond so my retinas were safe. Up I went and passed down the log for my wife to stamp. A huge breeze came up while I was perched and I felt the entire tree away and dip by a foot and I could smell the end. Nope, just pooed my pants. tftc

28/6/20 Find #3819

NyssaFlutterby, wombles and co, and I were in Toowoomba for the weekend. It was time to head towards Crows Nest for our final goals for the day, grabbing a few caches along the way.
Well we were desperately hoping we’d get to go into the dam area today, but DAMN! As per last time it was closed once more. One day we will get in there and get those other caches, but for today at least we had to satisfy ourselves with just this one. Pulling right up to GZ I could see the cache from the car. Nyssa approached from the other side but said access would be better from the side I was at. Soooo up I went.
Log signed we had to say farewell to this area, and hope it may be third time lucky for our visit through those gates.
Thanks for the cache WallabyWanderers and Grand_Poobah.

This was our target cache for the area. Unfortunately the dam dam was closed for business AGAIN! Sad Really have to time our trips out this way better so we can explore a little more.

I had a lot of fun solving this puzzle and others like it in the series. Reminds me of a game I play on my phone when I have a bit of time to waste.

Today wombles, 1MinnieMoo and I arrived at GZ and I recognised the area straight away. There is an archived cache about 30 metres away behind the pipes. We had been out here a year or so ago to give that one a bit of love. Checked on it again today and it’s still there.

After spotting the beasty our team monkey, 1MM, was soon swaying in the breeze while trying to get the log. We left our marks and replaced as found.

Thanks for the smiley WallabyTim Big Grin

Day 2 of our weekend away, more ups and downs planned with 1Minniemoo and Nyssaflutterby.
Some more caches to find along our way, including this one which was a nice quick find.
Once again the dam gates are shut. Eventually one day when we are here we will actually be able to go to the dam!
NF checked on the nearby archived cache we found last visit and it's still safely tucked away in it's hiding spot.

Out for a day of caching fun with grannysmith 1947 and Brislions. This one was added tot he list for today as it was a cache that I needed to find. Near GZ, there was a muggle flying a drone. I parked the geomobile as close as possible to GZ, then used a ToTT from the boot to gain access to the cache. The lag was signed and we were soon on our way again. TFTC

Out for a quick pedal along the pond with Evie. I had collected all the available caches along the shoreline on my way to this one. I had dragged my sneakers along for the ride incase I needed them to access GZ.

I had help with this puzzle. One word was easy. One took some time. The last one took a lot of help, even hints did not get me there.

The cache was easily spotted and I was able to climb in my bike shoes. My sneakers had a lovely day out too though.

11-Jan-20
In early November my family wanted to get out for the day. I'm the resident 'road trip guy' so I decided on a trip up the Second Range Crossing, then a picnic at Cooby Creek Dam. I ignored all geocaches that day. And this was good as it was a 40° plus day and there were some far-away plumes from the bushfires. I was aware this geocache was 'somewhere in the area' as I'd had a couple of looks at it and had it partly solved. So that was a nice day out all the same.

Just a few days later I was again looking at my next D/T loop because a boy needs *something* to keep him motivated and actually go out geocaching sometimes and clocked this puzzle again. Well, alright then. I whipped it open and saw I had 2/3 solved it. Certitude limits meant I had a list of options that it couldn't be, and I recalled even trying to brute force it with another map-type website. Alas, nothing.

So I hunted around for some more options of words. Soldiers, storms and singlet models were pulsing through my mind. But after just a few minutes, I had an answer. And lo, it is a place I drove right by with the family just days prior. Who knows when I'll next get back out here!

But for 2020 I've decided to do something about those last 6 boxes for my D/T and this was the first I could tackle, now I had a final location. A friend messaged me last night, asking if we should go for a drive someplace and I knew exactly where to suggest!

After the drive up (on the OG range crossing) and grabbing cheaper-than-Brisbane fuel in Toowoomba, we headed north along a familiar route. I'd saved the listing for offline use (first time I've ever used this feature) just in case the worst happened, and 4G ran out! I parked us up in the shade of a tree near GZ and we hopped out to commence the hunt.

There was a cheeky hint in the description that I remembered and it only took me a short time to spot the container. Just a matter of grabbing it - which scared me as two cicadas launched into flight at full volume just inches from my face! I signed the logbook and replaced as found. All very happy with the nice things this is doing to my D/T matrix.

While here, we explored a little bit and I thought 'I could take three photos while we're in the area that lead towards a word of my own'. So I did! My timing was annoying, but this is a nice area to visit again. Thanks for this geocache, WallabyTim and Grand_Poobah Smile

Monday. Needing this one for our D/T grid, we’d solved it (well, 2/3 of it ages ago). Needed a helping hand on one of the sets of pictures. Would never have guessed what the word was in a million years. Well that was ages ago and I think half of the X’s belong to me [xx(]. Move forward in time to many months in the future and we diverted to this cache specially. Thankfully finding the cache container wasn’t nearly as difficult as I’d spotted it very quickly. I fell in love with this area. Great puzzle idea and I really enjoyed it, even though I couldn’t quite finish it off myself.

This was the 6th of 8 caches found on today's trip.

Thanks ***WallabyWanderers***, for showing us this place. Smile

Unexpectedly finished work early and several things on the geo-calendar could be filled by one cache soooo...why not?! The big one is that this cache fills one of four remaining DT spots...but considering this was published almost eight months ago speaks volumes about how much emphasis I put on my DT grid. Pulled up literally meters from GZ and circled several times before spotting what I was after. I'm very glad for the small delay in spotting the container or I would have been up the tree when two cars passed from opposite directions. I made a quick retrieval and took it back to the car to sign in case of a repeat performance. Thankfully no more passerbys and all returned as found. TFTC and a cool puzzle WallabyTim.

Last cache for the day and the TOTT makes it second appearance for the day. The puzzle certainly tested for the middle word but finally done. Thanks WallabyTim and a FP given.

21-Jun-19
Had the thesaurus out randomly choosing words for anything that looked remotely close to the photos. This puzzle is the visual rendition of a X-word puzzle. Every time a word failed the checker, some suitable f'n type works were audible and leaking from my lips. It is with some relief when a checker lights up and agrees with your word choice.

So onto the GZ location and with a lot of disappointed we find out the walking trails are closed to burns. Not amused when the checker page has no mention of the burns and in my limited experience I'm sure there would be no burns in > 30 knot winds. Nonetheless there were a few caches that could be collected not on the walking paths and others that you can sneak in a little ways and not upset too many peoples on guard duty.

With the cache spotted it was a decent stretch it extract it. Thanks for an interesting puzzle WallabyTim. This is the second of the series collected this weekend by the crew.

Out and about to fill a calendar spot in. Didn't quiet get to the planned cache as the walkways are still closed we decided to grab this one instead. The GPS was playing some serious games with us and we had no idea where we were looking until it eventually settled and decided we needed to be 30m that way and in the place I first suspected. I spotted it and sent the taller of the two of us to retrieve it. Log all signed and everything back in place. TFTC WallabyTim

It is time to go caching again and the incentive for this day of fun was to attend an event in Toowoomba at 1200. 24 on my list today starting around the Cooyar area. I have 11 between Nanango and Toowoomba to find then there are have 9 in Toowoomba that I want to tackle and that leaves Mt Peel and three others for another trip. Then there are 4 on the way out to Leyburn for that multi.

Left Nanango at 0545 and arrived at this one at 0908. Found a very safe spot to park and did not have to walk far to GZ. Saw the cache in the tree and I had my ladder with me but did not require it. The tree has natural climbing points. Clumsy dropped the log sheet so had to climb back down then back up again. good exercise. TFTC WallabyTim

T-Tech and I are staying with Brother Colin and Triciac2 in Toowoomba for a couple of days, and today we are visiting Cooby Dam.

This puzzle gave me a headache! I had no trouble working out the first and last words, but the middle one was DIFFICULT!!!!! I threw 51 attempts at the checker before it finally gave me the numbers!

At GZ we searched from the ground for quite a while, then T-Tech decided to go up and have a look, but it was me who eventually spotted the hide, just a couple of feet above his head! TFTC, WallabyWanderers. A pleasure to meet you both at Jess & Caro's event this morning [^]

Well, well, well, what have we here?!

Oh yes, a super cool new puzzle from none other than WallabyTim! Well, having found a few of this CO's caches before, I knew the thought and effort put into creating it would be well worth the time and effort put into solving it. And it most certainly was!

I was at work when this delight was published, so was unable to look at it until later that night. And look at it I did! I dove into it, chewed on it, growled at it, and then serenaded it, until finally the last piece was revealed and I sent through a "Guess what?!" message (ok there was something else on the end of that little sentence, but you know... being family friendly here and all, hehehe). Oh yes, I was thrilled to solve it so quickly, but after some thought I decided to leave the find for a blank calendar date, seeing as I have so many of them, lol.

That blank calendar date came and so I toddled on over to GZ on my way home from work, checking out the accessibility of a few of my own caches at the same time. It was a warm day so I was pleased to be able to park the car in the shade and it wasn't too long at all before I was out of my work top and sandals (oh, don't worry, I put on another top and more appropriate footwear!) and I soon had the cache in hand. Big Grin

Thank you, WallabyTim, for an excellent and sneaky puzzle and adding another super hide to this great location!

Found @ 11.05 am.

Wind the clock back a couple of days & we were sitting quietly at home catching up on the tennis, doing a touch of gardening & trying our best to cope with the heat as our aircon won't be replaced until at least 07/01/2019 when everyone goes back to work.
The smart phones go 'ding' & we find we have a strange looking set of pics, with no clear correlation, staring up at us.
Hello, what's this?
A friend had sent through the puzzle and a brief outline of what was needed, for a mystery cache he was having trouble getting past the reviewer (something about disagreeing with the selected D/T rating) & asked if we could attempt solving it & comment on the difficulty rating.
Sure, love a challenge.
We quickly came good with two thirds of the puzzle but the other third was a test indeed.
As time passed & perserverence dwindled we finally hit on the remaining details we needed & 'Bingo' we had a great set of coordinates.

The timeline went something like this …
**Monday 8.42pm 31/12/2018** Received the puzzle & a request to solve it & comment on the D/T ratings.
The first & last words were sorted quickly but the second one required a bit more grey matter to reach a solution so some much needed R&R was called for, besides we had a 2.00am event to attend on the northside. Smile
**Tuesday 10.42am 01/01/2019** After very little sleep (HAPPY NEW YEAR to all) we decided to take another look at the 'missing' word.
Spurred on by new knowledge, that someone else was also attempting to solve & report back on the D/T ratings, we set to it with a passion & soon cracked the last word needed to get the coords.
Not too bad, about 2 hours all up, but what an intense two hours they were.
Pleased that we had cracked the puzzle we gave the requested feedback to the CO & life once more interrupted & the cache was put aside, well we didn't have any other details, just the hard earned set of coords so we needed a distraction until the cache was published. Smile
**Wednesday 11.42am 02/01/2019** Notification came through that the cache had been published.
As we had a head start with the puzzle we decided to give the 'locals' a fair go at solving, finding & collecting a FTF before we headed out on the 2.5 hour trip from our homebase to GZ.
**Thursday 7.30am 03/01/2019** Having solved the puzzle some 43 hours & 43 minutes ago we decided there was time for a quick bite before jumping into the Geo-Beast, with Winter the Geo-Cat, & heading west on the slim off-chance that, after giving the 'locals' a window of opportunity spanning approximately 47 hours & 13 minutes, we were now fairly in the race for a possible FTF. Smile
After a few small detours we arrived at GZ around 11.00am & set about the search with Mrs VC quickly calling 'I can see it!'
Dodgy hip & all Mr VC chased down the prey & carefully opened the cache to reveal that we had indeed taken out first place!
WOOHOO!
First to solve &, despite an almost 48 hour delay, also FTF (with CO permission). Smile
You have to love it when a plan comes together. LOL ...
Made our mark & replaced as found then returned to the Geo-Beast & the air-conditioning only to realise I hadn't taken the traditional 'photo of the FTF log'.
Back to GZ for a quick re-enactment ... does this mean we were also STF? Smile

A favourite point for a clever puzzle, a pleasant trip to GZ (in the air-conditioning) & a little much needed exercise. Smile
