#833 beautiful day for caching and nice little spot! Took us a while to spot this but once gps settled it was accurate
Last cache for the day and another quick find.Unlike the others which were in great condition the log sheet in this one was damp, tatty and disintegrating but I still managed to sign it.Thanks for the series ClancyHouse.
The youngest monster was again first out of the car and made another fairly quick find! The log is ratty and flimsy probably needs replacing. TFTC!!
After having a great time at the Lucas event in Ballarat this morning we decided to travel home on the road less traveled and try and grab a few caches and ad labs along the way. This series was our first for the day and with the wind blowing quite strongly this morning the lake looked fantastic with the white caps on it.It was great to see from a few different locations and distances. All of the caches were found quite quickly and after adding our name to the log all were returned as found. Many thanks for showing us around this lake, it's a shame that we missed the event that was here.
The silver wattle is growing tall but still managed to find my way. Thanks for the reservoir series of caches
Today's trip was to the event at Newlyn Reservoir followed by some closeby caches. I was early for the event, and as I was passing this way, I stopped here for the find. Many thanks to Priscilla026 for the cache.
Today's drawcard was an event at Newlyn Reservoir followed by the local caches and a drive across to Daylesford. A nice day all round. This one took much longer to find as there were many options. Finally spotted it on the right angle. Thanks ClancyHouse for creating for us all to enjoy. ...................................................The **Ballarat GeoTour** ends on 4 March 2024! TangentGoat and I were on our way back from a day of caching when she asked if Id visited these caches yet. As I hadnt she was more than happy to drive me to each of the locations so I could find and log these.A quick find at this location. Thanks for placing the caches here for all to explore.
Found this series when I was planning my journey from Sailors Falls back to Wattle Flat and I figured why not! Checked the logs and saw that 4, 3 and 2 had been found recently but #1 had alluded even the most experienced of cachers.Went through this series backwards so starting here I dragged mum out of the car and we went searching. My GPS was out by a little bit but after 10 minutes I found the cache, signed the log and replaced it. On to the next one!
Out for a local weekend drive with Mrs JTreeTrack2. Heading out to the Creswick Newlyn region. So we jumped into the Geocamry and headed out to look at some of the old railway station sites and some other bits on the way. Great set of nanos around the reservoir.
Thanks for the cache Priscilla026

Went to the far end and worked my way back. Each of these were found without too much and my name was soon in the logs.
Thanks for the series Priscilla026...my first trip out this way and good fun afternoon drive around the area.

TFTC. A lovely sunny day for a drive . We had not been out here previously. Found 3 of the 4 Reservoir caches. Number 1 just did not want to be found.
Lots of fallen branches as previously reported. Luckily these did not impact the cache which was found in good condition.
Looked for 15 or so mins with geowife and no go. I'm wondering if this is worth a maintenance check. There looks to have been a number of fallen branches in recent months that may have impacted its whereabouts...however perhaps we just weren't lucky enough today.
Just a lovely little series of caches in a scenic area. Thats made a great afternoon for me, thanks
Found with LCPLGarmin. Sun picked it out as we approached at just the right time of day and from the right angle! Said hello to the maggies. TFTC
Found out caching with Wollaston on a slow meander north.
Container condition good
Log condition, dull log scroll replaced with new.
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC ClancyHouse

After doing stuff in Ballarat today, I meandered around a few lab caches. Then carved up the drive back to base with some caching. Hoping for more sunny days and fewer nights.
I drove to GZ and thought I had an inkling where to look for the hide. Yup, got it

Out for a mental health break. Checking out the area and some caches. About to give up when one more look found in plain sight. Great spots. Thanks for placing the cache. TFTC
Wow, I'm starting to question my geocaching skills. Spend a good 40 minutes looking for this one. Then bang, there it was, right where I should have looked the first time. Thanks for the hide, all in good order! Awesome little series!
I was passing today so decided to find just one cache. I was on the correct side but I had the wrong idea of where the find would be....then I spotted it. Gold!!! Thanks Priscilla026.
Not quite how it seemed to us today and laughed when we saw how obvious it was.
A nice drive out here after work to take the dog for a run. I couldn't believe my luck with this one. As I was about to get out of the ute I spied where the cache was hiding, lucky because I had it in my head that it was going to be somewhere else Cigc. Tftc
After Chook and her friend Wendy had enjoyed a fabulous 9.5km hike around the Sailors Falls area, this cache was one of a few found on the way home. Not a soul around today which made for a pleasant hunt. Nice easy find here. TFTC ClancyHouse.
We had time between activities and decided to head to this lovely little spot to see what we could find, Found, log signed and replaced as found, TFTC and the fun
A lovely reservoir for these caches

TFTC. This one had me searching for ages and ages. Wet shoes. I nearly gave up on my hands and knees when I looked up and thought &$@$ hidden in plain site. I struggled to open the container because my hands were frozen. Log signed and back in my warm car. Thanks for bringing me here.
Bunadoorian and I had come down this far before the nearby event. This is a lovely area and we can see the fishermen enjoy this area. The cache had us both looking in different areas but eventually the GPS on the phone settled and I headed in the correct direction. TFTC and for bringing us to this lovely piece of the world - Priscilla026
Another find to Grub62 with her sharp eyes. This cache blends in surprising well. TFTC.
A fun cache chase here by the res
I soon lost count of how many laps of GZ I had made
Yet in a moment of "Oh I give up !!",
I spied the cache looking back at me ... laughing
Thanks for not making this one green or black,
or I would still be looking

The severe wind out a stop for a though search. Too hard in the wind at 1630hrs.
Drove around to this spot and had to search for quite some time before reading the cache notes and then took a different approach. Soon spotted it after that correction.

Found while out and about in this area enjoying the lovely weather today. A few branches on the ground around here, but found the cache safe and sound. TFTC
Out and about in the area on this sunny but windy day Would be nice to come back and have a picnic and some fishing! TFTC
A last minute decision last night to head up to Creswick for the CITO and Event meant a couple of quick messages to AusFox; and Neville_devil and I soon had a couple of copilots for the journey. We left early enough (But still a civilized time) to grab some caches on the way.
We had time before we were due to make the events so made a detour to grab caches around the reservoir.
This one took us a little longer to find than the rest eventually we found it on a second pass through.
Thank you Priscilla026 for the series

Great hide! Found by the tiniest geo kid. This area is full of childhood memories for me so thanks for the cache

A couple of days based in Ballarat gave us the opportunity to release some smiley tokens from the green boxes which litter the roadsides of our map north of Creswick. Too chilly for a picnic, it would be delightful in summer.
Thanks 'Priscilla026' for adding this cache to the gameboard.

Find #2175 for me. Found at 11:05 am while on my way to Ballarat from Bendigo with the kids. I hate to admit it but this was actually my 4th visit here so I was very happy to finally make the find! Not sure why I had so much trouble with this one although the GPS signal was quite jumpy whenever I visited so that's my only excuse. Today luck was on my side and I spotted the cache after a short search. Thanks for this cache which now completes the Newlyn Reservoir series for me!
Found after a nice little event nearby.
This one took a bit longer to find as the GPSr was going a bit silly under the trees.
This area is quite nice so thanks for placing the cache here for us to find.

Continuing caching after today's event we decided to work back from the furthest cache out then head back in to town. I was traveling in convoy with the McAdies when we pulled up and came across Claybol who said this was his third time here searching and still couldn't find it. Unfortunately for him he couldn't stay so we started searching where we thought the closet GZ to where our gps's were sending us. After what seemed like an eternity searching we almost gave it away too but with one last look at the map to regain my bearings I finally came across this sneaky one, almost hidden in plain view! And just as we were about to put the logbook away maccamob showed up for an easy find for him!
Thx Priscilla026 for our most challenging hide of the day.

What a challenging 15 minutes this turned out to be. Once again, never assume... couldn't see it where I expected but finally found just sitting there minding its own business. Well done Priscilla. TFTC Fp
Found by Mary and David at 13:20:00. Our next stop after today's Event, and we joined the Event crew here. A bit harder to spot this one with many possible places to check. Our thanks to Priscilla026.
While I was busy "faffin' around" looking for this cache and, as I tend to do, overthink where a cache may be hidden, Mrs B plucked the cache from it's hidey-hole and gloatingly announced that she had *"found yet another one today!"* Pfffft! (That's me blowing a raspberry to her in response if you were wondering!)

That one was hidden well, it was a good fine, after we saw it!! Good fun, thanks for bringing us hear!!
This one blended in well and it took a few seconds to locate. Giving this a favourite, thanks.
I spent the morning at the nearby Maze House with my folks, my kids and my nephews. Afterwards my parents headed to the supermarket to get some bread so the 5 kids and I decided a few caches were in order. We started here and had no luck but after finding the other 3 we came back and managed this one - still rather tricky as the GPS went crazy under the trees. Many thanks for the cache.
Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.
Thanks Priscilla026 (F=488 H=10) for the cache.
