Spending the winter woofing, tramping and exploring the west coast caching along the way ..of course..
Back in greymouth for a while working at the Noah's ark backpackers...so a good base to tick off a few more..
Set myself a mission to hit 8000 finds by the end of the year...that's an average of 6 a day ..
Ducked out between showers to give this a proper go having done a drive by earlier..threw on my hi viz to blend in with the nearby road works and the cache was a quick find , did a wee Cito while at gz to add extra merit to my disguise..tftc

A quick find in a very well suited place - nature has created the perfect hole! TFTC!!
I was looking at our map trying to figure out which cache we wanted to find today for Blue Switch Day (tomorrow) and was reminded that this cache we had DNFed in 2019 was now back in action (sort of) I can see from an old photo that this used to be a sistema but that is no longer the case. However it was a quick find, just what we needed before another batch of rain came. Now off to visit my sister for her BDay. Thanks for the cache and also thanks to whomever replaced it with the present reincarnation.
A quick find in the dark but log was missing so left a new sheet in there. Thanks for placing CBZ123

After checking into my motel I headed out to get some supplies. Then it was time for a meal. There was also a some time to find a cache or two along the way. TFTC
Today, me and JB decided to head to the trail to avenge some DNFs. We quickly snatched this cache and headed on our way! TFTC!
Nice to be away on another geocaching trip with tmann421, travelling to a few places in the upper South Island.

Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located!*

Found with StreetWalkerNZ on our last day of our Queens Birthday weekend in Greymouth. This morning was not as chilly as yesterday, so after an early morning's walk up Kings track, we walked to the waterfall at Coal Creek in Runanga, then returned to Greymouth for a few more caches and lunch.
That spot was just asking for a cache placement! Quick find for SW who approached from the right angle to see it. TFTC.

#18221. We'd done a bit of walking today, and were looking for a few quick drive-bys before heading for home. This cache fitted the bill perfectly. Nice hidey-hole. TFTC.
Was looking at one rocking area and thought, Hmmm how would you hide a cache there. Then my fellow cacher's pointed out another much more likely location and there it was. Log soon signed. TFTC
Found on a three day caching journey over to the West Coast. We really enjoyed the challenging hours spent in solving the many puzzle caches and now the signing off on the log books. We had a great spell of weather as we traveled along the many roads in the area. Many thanks to the various cache owners for placing and maintaining their caches. TFTC
Had a great day on the West Coast todya lots of km's walked, grabbed heaps of caches, and had a lot of fun. Many Thanks Bitsprayer
Sorry Everyone, Been away for a significant few months. Am performing well needed maintenance runs today, Will re-enable once complete
Hmm, we are 3rd dnf in a row.
If it was in the round hole, it's gone. Otherwise too tricky for us.

We went to zero, saw the likely spot and moved. No success although three of us agreed it should have been in one particular spot.
We were out trying to get the last couple of caches for the Mystery of the Museum souvenir hunt and thought this would be a quick PnG so didnt bother to add it to the GPS and just went with the phone. Even though the location looked obvious the phone never got closer than 7m but we searched it anyway and couldnt find anything
Found it first thing Saturday morning, great time for a walk, no muggles in sight , also left a timaru rock there we found in Dunedin, but of travelling that has done
found with UlmusLynx noticed a neighbour across the road stealth was required
thank you CBZ123 for the cache

A neighbour across the road was looking at us from his greenhouse. Were going to explain but he had walked off by then. TFTC
FTF With Holymu. On our way with destination Greymouth we got three notifications of a new cache. We plotted them in on our planned route and started with a DNF. The second cache resulted in a STF (second to find). Not to be detered we closed in on cache no3 and that gave us a virgin logbook Thank you CBZ123
FTF with Hazedarus.
We were on our way to Greymouth when notification came through of three new caches in the area. Trouble was we were still nearly 200km from there so it was likely the FTF would be gone before we arrived in town. One of the new caches was directly on our route but was a DNF mainly due to a burst of heavy rain at the time. The second one resulted in being second to find, less than 15mins behind the FTF'ers. This was the third of the new ones and to our surprise the log book was empty.
Well done on your first hides, we look forward to many more.
Thank you cbz123.
