Well, I had originally planned to pick up the remaining Lighthouse series caches at my leisure, but it appears that is not to be.
I had solutions to all the outstanding caches except four WIGs. Quickly solved one of those at home, and with a rough idea about another I could just about clean them up.
Went for thirteen and found twelve of them.
Good to get so many, but such a pity the series didn't last. I do agree with many though that too many of the placements had issues.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
I'd seen this sort of puzzle before, but for the life of me I struggled to get the numbers. Made a guess or two but got it right first time.
No such problems at GZ where the quick find was made.
Signed, replaced and back for a drink at the shops.
On the walk back found a motorbike key - tag said Hornsby Triumph. Left it at the service station, but I think it might have been there for a while as it felt pretty scuffed.

Well after some reorganisation of our intended travelling it was decided to make the return trip to the Mittagong area and with it the WLS series was on the radar as it was soon to be archived with only a few not solved and some that have already been archived it was now the day to see what we could find.
Well an interesting puzzle that was solved and now it was time to collect the smiley. A nice quick find at the GZ and after completing the necessary it was time to move on.
Thanks ozgeomuster for placing this series however it is a shame it has to be removed from the map.

Found a rock but nothing there. So we put a new log so other people can sin. We were right on the cords
TFTC!! These puzzles were absolutely amazingly tricky and I had a lot of fun trying to solve them! With some help from a partner geocacher
This will be a copy and paste log as I found so many
It was a lot of fun solving the puzzles for these caches. I'll admit I did get some help from a fellow cacher on a handful of them and it was great to have someone give me an extra hint
The puzzles themselves very standard but I did enjoy them and the area. Overall it was a great experience!!
Thank you!

As StrangeTrousers posted it has been a while since we were at the OzGeomuster and getting a chance to now play with the artwork and pick up the puzzles that we had worked on as a group prior to the event and due to time constraints picked up the other fun things on offer like the Lab Caches back then. It was another great day in the sunshine with a Garmin in my hand and exploring places. We had a go at CacheTur and having just got a new phone I reverted to using its map feature. Going to spend a little more time using CacheTur for planning my upcoming caching days. Ditto what ST mentioned about Picton Rd – scary. Loved that ST had a “hight enhancer” – ladder in his car for our travels and that it got put to good use at the end of the day. Had never seen a koala fence before so that was something new to come across whilst down there. Big thank you to everyone for all the work on the caches and puzzles and a special thanks to ST for all the driving.

#5710 21st for today
Logs stamped as "Kayak Cachers" being the team of StrangeTrousers and CBRChic.
It's been quite a while since the OzGeomuster at "The Gong", but collection of these solved puzzles comprising the Lighthouse series has been outstanding. Today CC & I made the short journey from Canberra back up to Appin/Wilton to grab these caches. It was a lovely calm, but warm day hitting about 29C for most of the afternoon. We tried to use CacheTur's routing to gather the caches, but it quickly became apparent this wasn't going to work as we drove past places we know caches were located. It seemed to make no sense, so we quickly abandon this reverting to our GPSr for the next closest. We didn't enjoy the caches along Picton Rd so, much, the traffic was scary. We had to duck across the road on a few occasions, which wasn't all that fun. Not too many misses today. Sorry for the generic logs, puzzles were solved as a group before the Mega, so I can't remember too many details, but we had quite a few fun evenings of puzzle solving.
Thanks ozgeomuster

We were on our way home from the Queensland Oz Geo Muster and decided to go via the coast home. We had camped near the start of this series and Diane noticed them in the morning. Being quite early we decided to try our luck at a few as we had the answers from before the Mega but did not get this far afield.
We started off well and decided to keep going until lunch time then start heading south again.
We were very happy we did as we managed to collect 47 of them with 4 DNF’s
We thank ozgeomuster for all the effort in setting up the puzzles and hiding the caches and apologise for the generic log but with so many caches found in a short time they blend into each other but we can say we did enjoy each one.

Having sat on the answers to this fun geoart trail for too long, today was the day we finally managed to get out on the hunt. It also worked well to coincide with the Mystery at the Museum challenge.
This puzzle was the hardest for me and definitely needed the extra published hint - I had no idea this was possible!

Thanks to everyone involved in the creation of this geoart! While I plotted the shape & wrote a lot of puzzles from back home in Brisbane, it was a team effort all around. I was very happy to finally get onsite and see it in the field.. thanks to:
Kyzabra for numbers 1-4
Burgo for number 7, 18, 19, 56
Seemyshell for the final placements and coordinate collection &
MizMaz for local support fixing them up as best we could!
I grabbed all the art, (except the challenges under my geoname) over the course of the weekend! As usual. My fav part of mega geoart is bumping into other cachers in the field

Enjoying my time at the OZmega and having a look at the Wooloongong area.
Caught up with AyKayEm and we hatched plans to do as many of the Lighthouse series as we could this afternoon, before returning to camp for the talks and talent quest.
We decided to go out and do some more of the series this evening and were merrily on our way when we confronted by a barricade on the other side of Appin. Oh no!! Disaster!!
In spite of numerous large signs warning not to, someone who should not have been in charge of a fully loaded B-double, but was, decided to take one through the Broughton Pass, getting it stuck and wrecking the narrow bridge guardrail. As there is a tight hairpin bend at each end of the bridge, the wonder of it all was that he managed to get the truck to the bridge to damage it!
What that meant for us, was to go halfway to Sydney and then come back down on another road to reach the caching area. It involved an extra 55 km each way as well as the extra time and petrol.
Cursing the idiot driver, we did the looong detour and eventually ended up on the same side of the pass as the caches. We visited 16 caches tonight before again taking the looong detour back to camp, creeping in sometime after 3am.

I was up here for the OZGeomuster, went to the CITO with echocage1, then we decided to head out and find a few of the lighthouse caches before the late afternoon seminars. After the seminars, and the evening talent show, we decided to head out for some night time adventures, and find some more lighthouse caches. We didn't get far before we had to "do a youey" and go the rather long way around to get to the area - thanks to some idiot who thought it would be a good idea to ignore all the large "No heavy vehicles beyond this point" signs, and somehow manage to drive a B double around the hairpin bend and onto the bridge, where he got stuck, and destroyed the gaurd rails in the process ... (and as a result, the road was closed for the night, and for at least another day or more, meaning I also had to take the long way home from the Mega as well). We had fun, until we eventually decided we should head back to camp and get at least some sleep - we arrived back at camp after 3am (oops? lol)
TFTC - Sorry for the mostly generic logs, but (as far as finding them went) these were mostly generic caches - lol
(I did scribble some notes for a couple of caches, so I am including those at the end of the log, where relevant ... )

#9366 - 1:31:00 PM; Originally planned to be overseas this weekend, but a change in travel plans meant I could head up to the 'OZGeomuster 2019 The Gong' Mega instead. After two great days of caching and socialising, it was time for andrewbt and I to try and wrap up the Wollongong Lighthouse Series and perhaps grab a couple of other caches while our swags dried off so we could pack up and head for home. Managed to find the remaining caches we were looking for and logs were signed LL & ABT or similar. A great weekend and an enjoyable series, although we were challenged by a couple of hides and the odd parking place Again today, we qualified the the remaining challenge caches we logged too! This was the cache which gave us the most grief. Started off on the wrong side of Picton Road before discovering a cange of coords. Then spent plenty of time looking in the correct area without luck. Tried PAF to no avail, then headed back to pack up camp and stiopped for a final try as we made our way home. Well, made the find, right where it should have been and where we had searched several times before we made the find TFTC ozgeomuster

I always like a bit of geoart, and particularly am a fan of those utilizing multiple cache types. There was a good range of caches within each type too, showing a lot of effort had been put into the cache design. So this was a clear must grab while attending the OZGM. Did not take too long to grab these, with the traces of increased foot traffic over the weekend lending a hand for a couple of hides. TFTC!
Headed down to the OZGeomuster 2019 The Gong Mega Event early Sunday morning, with an overnight stay at a farm B&B in Wilton on Sunday night, and then returning home on Monday afternoon. We will be concentrating our efforts on collecting the Wollongong Lighthouse Series geoart placements located around Wilton, after the Family’s chief puzzle solver managed to solve most of the geoart puzzles (without seeking or accepting any assistance), but will also see how many Lab caches we can complete. This was the 14th of 32 finds for the day, and the 61st of 79 finds for our Mega weekend.
This was the next one we came to, and it was to be a reasonably quick "park & grab" after a bit of scratching around in the long grass. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. Thanks ozgeomuster for the puzzle & cache.

Last day of the Mega event so it’s fitting I finish off this series. Had about 20 to do and the effort was sped up thanks to Muppet who knew the locations much better than I did.
As I thought of the first haul I had for this series there were many questionable GZs but I still managed to safely get the smilies... kind of.

Teaming up today with Gunnie69 and Ghostgums, we made our way down from Sydney to Wollongong, collecting a number of solved puzzles and other caches on the way. Teamed up today with Sharkiefan as well for today’s run.
This was one of them.
Many thanks to ozgeomuster for placing and maintaining WLS #34. Apologies for the generic log. Log signed as GGKS

Generic Log to follow…….
The Stumble’s met up with Gr8cahes whilst having a dismal attempt at solving our first ever Lab cache. Instantly they became our new best friends and helped us to complete two of them!
We left camp both days to collect some real geocaches. All in all, we spent the 2 days travelling around the area including Bald Hill and the Sea Cliff Bridge. Whilst we didn’t collect a huge number of caches, the fact that we were spending time in great company and met sooooo many fantastic and helpful cachers along the way made the weekend worthwhile. Its always nice to put a face to a cache name!
All caches attempted were successfully found except one and it was fun watching Daniel jump in and out of the car like an excited kid, racing off to claim the find. Some were really easy to find whilst others took a bit longer or required the skills of a monkey to locate!

The lighthouse series was today's aim. Paul_the_Hippy and goingplaces2 came along too. We hit our target and finished the series with no problems and had a lot of fun too. Cache retrieved, log signed, job done. TFTC.
It had always been the plan to solve and find as many of these as possible. It's not everyday you get a Mega in your own backyard AND an awesome geoart for the map, too. So, catching back up to cache with our buddies GR8CACHERS, the geomobiles were prepped, the GPS units poised for the ready, and after a quick and delicious lunch at Appin pub, we were off!!
TFTC! We've learnt so much from doing these geocaches! A little more variety to the statistics!!

Here for the OzGeoMuster with 3Ferrets. Out and about today, little bit overcast but still lovely to see this beautiful city. Log book dry. TB’s visited. TFTCSL Thanks ozgeomuster
Day two of our OzGeomuster event weekend and this series was the target. Off to a very foggy start as Kyzabra, Ghostgums and I left Sydney, we swung by the event site to pick up sharkiefan, the fourth member of our hunting team for today. [^]
With a mapped plan of attack, we took took to the road and quickly ticked caches off the list, completing the entire series in a little under three hours. We only had a visit from one local, who was an elderly guy and very happy to come and chat with us, as he asked "is this the game thing I have heard about".
Thanks to all the hiders who put the caches in place, the puzzle makers, the WherIGo compilers and anyone else involved in this GeoArt. A job well done and a great morning on the trails.
To conserve log space, we signed each log book as GGKS (Gunnie69, Ghostgums, Kyzabra and sharkiefan).
Cheers ozgeomuster folk.

After registering at the Mega, worked hard to collect the lighthouse puzzles. This was the hardest find of the day. Teamed up with Boogie Rogue and gunboat here. Eventually found with our devices suggesting about 12m out. Fun way to spend the afternoon before staying at a friends place in Moss vale

Found while up at the Gong event.
Solved what we could as a team before the trip up. But I had to go out n find "the Light House art" alone.
Did have the occasional meet up with others out in the field. Thankfully some of those were when the caches became elusive to find.
Thanks to those who gave me a ton of help with the Wherigos. Much appreciated. One day I might get the hang of them.

The day took an unexpected turn and I ended up going with the guys rather than sitting around getting bored waiting after a communication snafu.
These puzzles were all solved at home except for some of the wherigos where i was just a lucky tourist.
I was grateful for the ride, some of the parking spots were not safe but we were able to grab the whole series.
The morning was great fun with laughter, jokes, lollies, a pair of ripped jeans and catch ups with other cachers.
Thanks for the interesting puzzles, the series and the weekend. Tftc

Today we spent the day doing many of the Light house caches along with a few others in the area. Lots of fun, hope I didn't miss any but we were all over and didn't have all of them solved either.
Funny how things go in the caching world. You meet someone walking around at a mega event and the next thing you know you jump in there car still pretty much strangers and spend the next 2 days caching, sharing stories and experiences. We had such gr8 fun with Stumble's Mate and Stumble Trip we loved our journey with you and creating more stories to share on down the road.
We are on a holiday enjoying it caching and sightseeing. We start the journey off with a few day stop in Hawaii. From there we will visit New Zealand from Wellington to Dunedin. From there we move on to Australia taking in a Mega along the way from Melbourne to Sidney ending in Brisbane before heading home via a layover in South Korea. We plan to pick up a few year 2000 caches and as many others as time will allow.
THANKS goes to ozgeomuster for placing this gr[8] cache! We appreciate all those who hide caches for without you there would be nothing to find. We are not gr8cachers we like finding GR8Caches! This was our 22845 find. Keep on caching!

Day 2 of the OzGeoMuster 2019 Mega weekend in Wollongong. After swinging by the mega site and picking up sharkiefan, we made our way to Appin to tackle the WLS series. It was a morning of great fun and frivolity as we made our around and grabbed the caches in the series. When completed we headed back into Appin, grabbed some lunch at the local bakery. Then it was time for us to make our way back to Sydney and grab our flight home.
Signed the log book for ‘GGKS’ for Ghostgums, Gunnie69, Kyzabra and sharkiefan, to help save logbook space on the very busy weekend.
Thanks ozgeomuster for putting out the cache to make a great a great mega weekend!
