Our final day in Tamworth before we need to move on, so we decided to clean up some remaining caches close to town as there was rain predicted for the early afternoon. As predicted, it arrived but not before we had found a variety of trads, multis and puzzles as well as tree fishing caches relatively newly published. Reperio 17:55Day 1 of our tour of Tamworth caching trip, and Master Vitruvius and I left Orange and headed towards Tamworth for a few days to visit friends and tackle the large number of caches that have been placed since we were last here some five years ago. TFTC. We are camped at Tamworth on our way to the Mega in Dayboro. We decided to spend a few hours searching for caches around Hallsville before visiting friends in town. All caches were found in good order and co-ords were good. A good day 31 finds and two we did not find due to other reasons , so not logging as a DNF.

An easy find while caching in the area today.

More long grass to contend with, little did I know it was just the start of it! Thanks.

Found some interesting caches while out hunting with ilook4geo. Logs were signed and all were put back as found before we went on to the next find.

After lapping the Oxleys Anchor puzzles, we headed over to the Hallsville trads. With Jane737 egging us on for just a few more, we grabbed another 9 for the day, with one DNF.
Some checked the front, Samuel checked the back - and threw the cache through to us.... TFTC!

Tamworth and Amrmidale Trip March 2020. Day 3. I headed north with Fitzy_1965 along the New England Highway towards Tamworth. Today we headed out to do caching trails around Tamworth to the North. The day was mostly roadside caches, but they were all of differing levels of challenges, especially when you have to deal with Farmers Friends and Stinging Nettles at almost ever cache.

Day 3 of our trip. Headed out after breakfast for what turned out to be a big days caching. We aimed to hit some of the trails around the region. Next stop of the day, and we came up with a quick find. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then headed off to the next one.

Found it when I went for a bike ride

Found quite easy but on the way down , young geo kid yelped out in pain, something stuck in his leg, he then pulled it out and it was stuck in his hand, turned out to be prickly pear style cactus , was puzzled as I couldn't see it growing anywhere.
++I can now say after continuing onto Albens tank that indeed there is small bits of cctus all at ground level, a lot has died from drought and is still scattered about with nice little spikes.

Tamworth Day 2
Arrived into Tamworth & have set up camp at the showgrounds.
Hubby needed to be somewhere to watch Bathurst. After the start of the race we went out to do some caching. We have never been into this area before & most of the area has great views over the farmland.
